This is a more than cookbook; it also contains little snippets of Tokyo food life as well as a brief history of the dishes in the book.
I would have liked more pictures of the food, but there are a few recipes I’m definitely going to try.
Also, how cute is that cover? 4 ⭐️

I will admit there are not a lot of photos of the food. It doesn't matter though everything sounds delicious. I do love the photos they have used, they give me very happy memories of Japan/Tokyo. I also love that there is a museum of wooden Japanese sweets moulds and if there is a tea house attached... even better!
