Keeping secrets is my job. Uncovering the truth is his. Gracie As a highly trained operative in a family of spies, I learned a a long time ago what happens when you fall in love and reveal your secrets. Devastation. Trusting no one is the only way to survive in this world. So, no matter how charming he is, Special Agent Leif McAllister won't convince me that he's left the FBI and wants to join my family's less than legal operations. Dusty Special Agent is my title and Leif McAllister is technically my name, but “Dusty” is what everyone calls me. Been told I can talk a stone to dust. That kind of verbal fortitude makes my job easier. People trust an open book. Even if it's filled with lies. Most people, anyway. Gracie Parish, my best way into her family’s illegal activities, just won't trust me. No problem. I’ll use everything I’ve got--fair, unfair, and so-good-it’s-wrong--to penetrate her defenses, discover the truth, and prove my case. As the red-hot attraction between Dusty and Gracie explodes, Dusty's investigation ignites a deadly threat and long hidden lies. They’ll have to decide quickly how far they can trust each other, because now it’s not just Gracie’s family secrets in jeopardy. It’s her life .

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Reckless Grace by Diana Munoz Stewart is the second full length novel in the Spy Makers Guild series. Planning to pick this up, then prepare for a suspenseful and exciting journey. A treat for lovers of romantic suspense.
The series follows a group known as the Guild run by matriarch Muthka Parish. This group focuses on helping those who can't find justice through the legal channels. Muthka adopts children whose upbringing is less than ideal and trains them to become spies.
This instalment was quite intriguing. The heroine, Gracie, is a computer geek and is the owner of a nightclub. She's been second guessing her involvement in the Guild. Her second guessing led to her sending an anonymous email to the FBI. A decision which led to Special Agent Leif McAlister aka Dusty infiltrating the Guild with the hope of bringing down Muthka Parish. However, after meeting Grace, he knew he would do anything to protect, even if it meant walking away from the investigation.
Reckless Grace delivered sufficient suspense, drama, action and romance to keep die-hearted romantic suspense fans entertained. Danger, secrets and betrayal pervaded the story. It's hard knowing who to trust when someone is trying to kill you. A fact Grace will soon learn when someone made several attempts on her life.
Grace suffered several losses throughout her life. Losses which would break a weak person. Grace, however, was anything but weak. She is a strong, resilient and smart woman with a kind heart.
Dusty's backstory provided insight into his determination to put an end to the Guild's operations. However, the deeper he got involved, the more he recognized how much he misunderstood their agenda.
In the end, Reckless Grace delivered a well blended tale of romance, suspense and intrigue. There were a few dark elements, which fortunately were not overwhelming. There were parts where the pacing lagged, but that did not take away from the story.
Action, suspense and romance! Gracie was adopted into a family of spies who bring down child traffickers. She is wary of Dusty, an FBI special agent, who worked with her family on a previous mission. Dusty is back and looking into Gracie's family's illegal activities but he can't fight his red-hot attraction to Gracie. Someone is after Gracie's life and Dusty is intent on keeping her safe. However, Gracie does not trust Dusty even if the sparks between them can't be ignored. This is the perfect mix of suspense and romance and I absolutely loved the immediate attraction between Gracie and Dusty. The drama with Gracie's family and the story behind Gracie's biological parents kept me intrigued and I couldn't put this one down! I didn't know this was the second in a series so some details surrounding the background story were assumed- I would have preferred to read the first in the series before this one. I haven't found a lot of books that combine high-stakes action and suspense with a hot romance and overall this was a great read!
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book for an honest review. Reckless Grace is the third book in A Spy Makers Guild Novel series by Diana Munoz Stewart. Dusty is an FBI agent who wants to infiltrate Grace’s family so he can get the information he needs to prove his case. All it takes is meeting Grace to know he will do anything to keep her safe. Grace has learned some valuable lessons in life, you can’t trust anyone, sometimes the best thing to do to keep someone you love safe is to let them go and above all else keep the families secrets. This is an amazing story of how strong and resilient one woman is even after life has thrown her some devastating curve balls. Her life is in danger from an unknown enemy, and she may have to risk everything to save someone she loves. With the help of Dusty will she be able to save those she cares about and still be able to have a life of her own? This book has everything, secrets, hidden agendas, danger, love of family, deception, betrayal, drama, and the will to survive and do what’s right. I loved this book; I consider this to be a must read.
Oh my goodness, what an intriguing read. We had lies, secrets, tons of suspense and some hot sparks. Absolutely enjoyed watching Grace grow and become a little unguarded. Loved Dusty as well.
This book is Dusty and Gracie’s story. Gracie has a separate life away from the Parish family with her restaurant Club When? She thought she could just walk away from her family but that’s not how life goes! Gracie’s secret son and ex come back to also haunt Gracie. She thinks she can just go and look in on them with no one noticing but she is so wrong!
Gracie gets shot at by a sniper and Dusty runs to check on her. How is he here? Was he the one shooting? Gracie keeps her secrets but Dusty stays close to help her along the way. When does receiving help suddenly become something that she wants?
Dusty is an FBI agent that is investigating the Parish family. He met them in Mexico during a black op that didn’t go that well. Unfortunately, Gracie’s brother was killed. Dusty can’t help but believe that it was his fault. Dusty is falling for this girl but he is confused about it. He did not have a healthy upbringing so he is not sure what love really is.
These two will win you over in a hot minute! Speaking of hot there is some steam between Dusty and Gracie, that’s for sure!
I met Munoz Stewart at Book Bonanza and her Spy Guilds series sounded right up my alley as a set of romantic thrillers, and although I liked Reckless Grace, it didn’t quite hit all the notes I was hoping to.
Grace was adopted as a baby by a woman who adopts abandoned or trafficked kids and turns them into an elite spy organization that frees trafficked victims and brings down crime rings. But it also cost Grace a relationship with her son, so she is unsure if it’s a group she wants to be a part of anymore. On a mission in Mexico, she meets the Southern Dusty, an FBI agent who is investigating her family. Months later, he’s back in her life and her life is being threatened (by who? Let’s find out), so the two have to work together and obvi feelings fly.
I liked the thriller part of this and the family Grace is from, as well Dusty, but it felt drawn out in the wrong places with a lot of important action happening off page. I also honestly felt like the connection between Dusty and Grace was never really there. I’d be down to give this series another shot, but I was a middle of the road read.
Diana Munoz Stewart was a new-to-me author with Hidden Justice, but she is most definitely on my radar now. Reckless Grace is the third book of her Spymakers Guild series, but you can read it as a standalone title.
I love romantic suspense, and I read a lot of it, and Reckless Grace hits all the essential elements. It contains mystery, suspense, twists, turns, secrets, and betrayals. My heart broke for Grace as her world turned upside down, but I really loved watching her return to her family and how they supported her even after quite a rift for many years. Forgiveness and redemption are heavy themes for sure.
When it was all said and done, I had to take a few days to allow the story to marinate before I could even think about writing a review because the author packed so much between to covers of this book. If you like heart-pounding action, deep intrigue, suspense, thrills, and sizzling chemistry between the hero and heroine, you will not want to miss this new release!
This is the latest offering in the Spymaker's Guild world a world where trafficked children are rescued and turns into world class spies who are then used to bring down the traffickers and rescue even more kids. Grace wasn't really trafficked as she was adopted as a child but this means that she has no real contact with her parents She meets Dusty a FBI agent who is intent on investigating her parents. Things take off between them as they work together to find out what is happening. This is the perfect mix of suspense and drama and keeps you engaged all through the book I do think that you will enjoy it far more if you have read the previous books in the series
Reckless Grace, A Spy Makers Guild Novel, by Diana Munoz Stewart.
I loved this book and am loving this series. I just recently discovered this author's books and already I am hooked. This book starts off right where Hidden Justice ended. It is fast paced and has many twists and turns throughout. And I loved the characters, flawed and relatable as they were.
This book has romance, it has crime, it has mystery, and it has a big chunk of family dynamics. Something for everyone. I highly recommend, but read in order. 5 stars.
This is book 3 in a series and while it could be read as a stand alone, the reader would have more background information by reading the previous books. I liked the intrigue and I liked the action (both romantic and thriller). I loved the Mantua family dynamics. I had a little difficulty with the romantic feelings connection between Grace and Dusty. Maybe because Grace was so suspicious. Momma’s story was heart wrenching so sensitive readers be warned. This is an exciting series so far. I wonder whose story is next?
I received a free copy from Netgalley. This is my unbiased review.
I am learning my way around the guild world, but at times I am still confused by the magnitude of the people involved. Reckless Grace is a book full of action and intense moments. Dusty and Grace are on different pages when it comes to her family, and they must learn to trust each other with the truth in order to come out alive and find their HEA. Even Grace grew to further understand her complex family in order to become closer and trust them. The many threads of the story kept me guessing who was behind the trouble, at times but the ending and the HEA was satisfying.
Ahhhh, I love love love this series. Grace lives away from the Parish house and runs a bar while also serving as the techie sibling of her group. She met Dusty in Mexico during book one and this is their story. He is an undercover FBI agent looking at the matriarch of the Parish family, Momma. Grace has a child, Ty, from her first marriage and he plays a role in this story also.
Without giving away anymore details, this story really pulls you in and takes some unpredictable twists and turns. And I’m on to book 3.
This is my ARC review and all thoughts and opinions are mine. I absolutely loved this book, I was hooked from the beginning! The way the main characters story evolved was so sweet and pure. Some parts I laughed some I cried and some broke my heart. I will say please check the trigger warning some topics might be too much for some. But over all I thoroughly enjoyed "Reckless Grace" from beginning to end and highly recommend!
My first DMS book and I was left wanting more! It was a fast-paced read for me. I had to know what happened next in the story. There was just the right amount of family dynamics, drama, spice, and love rolled into this story. I was captured from the start. I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait for the next one!
I received an ARC of this book through the Book Funnel app in exchange for my honest review.
Gracie Parish and Special Agent Leif "Dusty" McAllister have a world wind of a relationship. He goes undercover to bring down her mom Mukta Parish for illegal activites. At first Gracie doesn't trust him but as time goes on they fall in love and he has to figure out what's more important his job or his love for her. Loved the romance, chemistry between Gracie and Dusty. So many lies and secrets uncovered. Can't wait for the next book in series. These two so far have been my favorites
Another action and intrigue packed story in the Spy Makers Guild series. I am loving these books! Dusty and Grace are so good together. I enjoyed getting to know the family and their interactions with each other. The characters are well developed and written so they feel like you know them. Can't wait for the next one.
Oh this was such a journey. I loved the story, loved the banter, loved the spice and the plots!!! Grace and Dusty are actually sweet together. They complement each other. I can’t wait to read the next books. I’m so curious about how everything will happen from now on. Thanks Diana for letting me read a review copy. Well done 👏🏻 👏🏻
I got the ARC from author This is the second book in the series . I liked it as much as the first . I like that the central characters are women . Grace is torn between what her family does and what she believes is right. In the course of this story both her and Dusty come to the realization that it is not black and white. The romance is instant and hot . It also keeps the story moving .
The characters in this series are such unique individuals. All courageous; all with their own stories; and this time it's Gracie's turn to show her strengths as she investigates deadly threats and long hidden lies and increasingly finds it impossible to know who to trust. Romantic suspense does not get better than this. I love this series!
Holy guacamole…can you say secrets, lies, twists and turns….this book will certainly give you all that and more. Trust is not easily given, love has broken her heart….will Grace figure it all out and find the love she’s always wanted with Dusty or do the twisted monsters win? Loved it!!!
Dusty and Grace are quite the pair. I loved watching their chemistry unfold and come together in this story. There was so much suspense and wondering what would happen next. Twists and turns, you don't see coming! It's definitely a must-read!
Pick your side of the law...or maybe they are the same. Diana will keep you on the edge of your seat from page 1. Loved this story and the characters. It became addictive quickly. It is steamy, full of technology, caring issues, and of course love.
This book was a wild roller coaster ride. Tons of suspense, with me holding my breath. The characters are diverse and the plot rich. I loved the writing and very much enjoyed the book.
O my goodness, this is Gracie’s story and it was so incredibly beautiful. Gracie’s and Leif’s story is one of intrigue, deception and love. This is a fantastic read and I could not put it down.
What a fascinating story that will keep you wanting more. An Operative in a family of spies. Fast moving, great characters. Perhaps even a romance to make this story even better.
Wow! Wow! Wow! I really liked the first book in the Spy Makers Guild but I think I'll have to say this 2nd book was my favorite! Loved USAs Die Hard references-"Yep. John McClane's luck. I'm gonna die so friggin' hard today." The twists, turns, deceit & character development just made this a "can't put down" read!
Wow…I read this book in ONE day. Granted I had to start and stop several times for various reasons but I could NOT put it down. This whole series has been good and this one just knocked it out of the park!! This book has so much emotion - passion, desire, fear, sacrificial love, family unification, physical strength, intelligence, betrayal, and redemption to name a few. As a mom, you can totally relate to Grace and her feelings after giving her child up for adoption and the desire to be a part of their life and what a mother would or wouldn’t do for their child’s success and happiness. Dusty….misunderstood the Parish family and what goes on and a great quality he has is hearing the other side out before continuing with assumptions and ideas of what you THINK you know. And in the end, it pays well for him as he finds love and a connection with Grace.
Highly recommend the book if you throughly enjoying romantic suspense books. There are plenty of twists and turns that you don’t even realize how many chapters you’ve read because you are dying to to know what the outcome will be and whose behind it all.
So much praise and why only 4 stars?? I docked a star as I’m not a huge fan of profanity and there’s quite a bit - especially f-bombs. If you’re able to look passed or can skim well over those parts then you’ll enjoy the suspense as much as I did! There are some open door love scenes that are a little detailed though not overly graphic but again you can skim through like I did and not affect the overall story and plot.
I received an ARC copy of this and am leaving my honest review.
