Happiness was worth the risk. Even if he was the enemy.
In Betty Jo’s world, one biker less in this world would not be a bad thing. When she moved home after a rough divorce, there was no escape from her ex-husband’s world. While she dreamt of starting over, she vowed it would not be with anyone in a biker gang.
Caught in that world with no way to escape, her life is anything but ideal. There is tension between clubs, her father dies, and a war is looming. But that wasn’t the worst part.
Nope. She had to fall for the enemy.
Fin moved halfway across the country to avoid death. When he meets the woman of his dreams, his days of hiding are over. The war between rival motorcycle clubs ignites, and he’s a target. Keeping Betty Jo out of both clubs’ sights would take a miracle, or an escape into fantasy—even if it is only for a short time.
Will running away solve their problems or put them in greater danger?
Biker Queen is a classic tale of rivalry. But Betty Jo is no wimpy Juliet. Hell no. She’s a Biker Queen and she will get her happy ever after or die trying.
Calia Wilde believes the hero isn't always the good guy. She writes novels with highly-flawed, imperfect people to give HEA hope to readers who need it, or just want to imagine killing their tormentors.

This was a good book, but a little slow to start off. The characters are both trying to survive in a world that violence is the norm and peace is something that isn’t easy to come by. Fin and Betty Jo meet by accident, and then learn they are suppose to be enemies, just because they are in different MC’s. They continue to meet each other and each takes something from the other, but fall in love with each other. Their problems follow them, and eventually get taken care of. They start on a new life and and the adventure just seems to be getting started for them.
I got an ARC for this book. It's a biker style Romeo and Juliet. When two lonely people with ties too too warring mc clubs find love and passion. But leaving the life is dangerous and can you ever really leave if that all you know. In Finn and his Queen finds out in this exciting mc romance 😍.
Betty Jo was done with bikers with a capital D. She has divorced the club pres, but he was still an unfortunate thorn in her side since while they were married her dad signed the shop over to her now-ex. When a war starts Betty Jo meets rival member Fin who is more interested in his tattoo shop and his ailing adopted father to care much about club business, but once you're in you're in. This book is in the Destroyer's MC world, but takes place long before Walt was ever Pres. You can read this book wherever you are in the series. Personally, I read it after book 4 because that's when I got it. Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
I love the Destroyers MC books so much and Betty Jo has always been my favorite character. We knew she had a past, but not a lot of detail. I love that she and Fin got their own book, even if we know how they are now in the series.
I absolutely recommend any book in this series. The characters are wonderful and realistic, even when they are murderous and a pain. While I haven't read any other books outside of this series by this author I have zero doubt that anything else you read by her will also be amazing.
I hated Betty Jo's ex. Love his ending. I hate what happened to Fin's "Dad" and getting his story since he was largely a mystery. It is funny after getting their story the little asides in the main series about Betty Jo's past since it is a bit exaggerated.
This is no Romeo and Juliet. Biker Queen, by Calia Wilde, has star-crossed lovers and a few other details of Shakespeare’s famous tragedy. But this is romance with a happily-ever-after. And it plays out in the world of motorcycles. It’s not an easy read. the characters are violent and have a sense of right and wrong I can hardly fathom. But Calia has given the main characters, Betty Jo and Fin, a softer side that kept me reading until I reached the very satisfying end. It’s a story of rival biker gangs, a woman finding herself after she splits from her abusive ex, and the enemy she falls for. The stakes are high. People die. But I had to read on, hoping all the while that Betty Jo and Fin wouldn’t end up like Romeo and Juliet. I cheered at the end. (I hope that doesn’t spoil it for you.)
An unexpected story that I couldn't put down. I liked Betty Jo's growth throughout this book. She went threw it but came out even stronger. Add in Fin and it sure gets real good. These two are brought together by chance but together their story forges a path of resilience, of love, and second chances.
So incredibly thought out and told. The words just flowed on the page, the banter between characters was great and I could not stop reading this story.
Great, hot biker romance with drama and action. I liked how it talked about Betty Jo's past what she went through and how strong she was. I also liked that Fin fell for her first.
