IKYFLLLLL!!!!!!! 😩🤯😱🤬 I’m pretty certain this was my reaction every 30 or so pages while reading the second installment of this series!!!! I meeaaannnnnn!!!! Dominique had me sooooooo FKD UP right now!!! So much went down that I don’t even know where to begin….. oh wait yes I do, 🗣️ WHEN IS CARLOS GOING TO GET A BULLET TO THE DOME?!? If “the fish rots from the head” was a person, it would be Carlos’ @$$ because he’s as rotten as you can get!!!

This is thus far one of the most entertaining, suspenseful mafia series I’ve read and I can’t wait to see how everything comes together in the next book! So many questions were answered while others were left hanging over our heads🗣️READ THE SERIES!!!

The way I am over here STRESSED!!!! Lawd I need the next book asap and I'm not talking about Book Three.
I don't even know where to begin, but let me just say as wild and terrible as the Toussaint's lives have been, I am ready to be an honorary sister cuz these MEN. Yall these men that are loving these women are EVERYTHING! I mean ain't none of them playing about them and they are cutting off all dead weight including their trash azz father. The sisters have progressed so much, they have gained some courage and with the guidance of their brother Ossa they are no longer at the beck and call of their father.
Everything in me wants to drop spoilers, but instead I will just give you some reasons to read this book
1. Drama is top tier.... familial drama, relationship drama, mafia drama
2. Listen the secrets are juicy....ish is gone be revealed.
3. Trash azz characters definitely get humbled.
4. The Touissant girls' loves stories are different, but deserving.
5. Did I mention the MEN. Chilllle the BDE rolling off of everyone of them was so potent.
Let me just close with ikyfl about this ending though. I didn't call that all. I mean I thought it was a possibility for the trump card, but it didn't make sense. I know everybody is up in the arms about Carlos, but honestly idgaf about him like at all. I feel like the men are gonna handle him. I actually care more about the relationships the ladies have built and if they are going to be able to keep them together with the bs they were involved in. ooh I know Book 4 is gonna be so good. Sorry not sorry I am low key not interested in Book 3, I need to get to the drama and that's like yesterday.

Whew, Miss Dominique! You need to bronze that pen honey, cause you brought the drama in this one! 🔥 That mafia life is not for the weak! Especially when the Don, who is also your father, is a snake like Carlos Toussant! 😡 We picked right back up on the action from Misguided, with the family searching for Boston. Her lil spoiled ass, has no idea what kind of ish she left behind with that mess she pulled! Now her siblings are trying to cover her tracks, while trying to find her and bring her home safely. I’m so glad that the Toussant children have finally opened their eyes to the devious ways of their father. They know some ish ain’t right. Masami is the one holding the information, but she won’t budge. That hold that Carlos got on her is something serious, but it will hurt her in the end if she doesn’t take them damn blinders off!
Ossa brought in the big guns and has stepped up to be the head of the family, while dealing with this mess. He and the other sisters have pushed Masami to the side til she get her ish together. She is going to get them killed following blindly behind their father. Carlos’ ish is finally catching up to him, and he is mad as hell!
Meilani is finally opening up to Yaseer and enjoying her husband. But will it all come crashing down? The things her father had her do, need to be brought to light now, like right now, or she gone catch Yaseer’s wrath! Hope it is not too late! Maia is finally finding some peace. Who knew that she would have such a connection with Promise, and he is with her crazy! 😂 Poor Imani is pissed at the whole family, and who knows if she will ever forgive them! I hope Ossa pulls through and they get Rocco’s ass! 🤬
Boston! Ma’am, you have turned everyone’s lives into a ish show, due to your actions! Thank goodness she has Peace on her side, and he has saved her for now; but will is stick? 🤷🏾♀️ Masami got a good one in Lyfe, will she make the most of it? What evidence does Revvy have against Boston? Is it real or is he just moving off emotions? What happened in the restaurant? Rueben was fed up, so I wouldn't be surprised if he put a bullet in Carlos' ass! 😂 Was SHE really at the door to rescue Masami from the chaos? Lawd, I need a lifeline, as those last few sentences almost took ya girl outta here! Imma need that part 3 quick, fast and in a hurry ma’am! Damn that was intense! Great read! 🔥👍👍👍

Why is Carlos still alive?
Going into book two I didn’t realize that there would be a book three. When I found out, I tried to read slow and savor it as much as I could. However, I simply couldn’t put the book down.
In Misbehaved, the sisters as well as the older brother Ossa are starting to realize that important information is being withheld from them and that their father is the biggest snake in the garden since Adam & Eve. All with the exception of Masami have decided to ban together against their father and search for the missing pieces. They’ve become fed up with the lies, hurt and manipulation. At the same time each sister, with the help of their very own version of a sexy alpha male, takes off on their individual journey to heal themselves, embrace their femininity, and give loyalty to someone other than themselves and their father.
Just when you think that things are slowing down, chaos erupts again. More secrets are exposed, ghosts resurface and Carlos still isn’t unalived 🤦🏽♀️ patiently awaiting book three 😑

I still don’t like Carlos
I’m so over Carlos Toussaint and his “for the family” ways. I’m happy the sisters are starting to see him for who he really is. He is a man scorned that is still running off of the emotions of his brother and his wife being together cant wait for part 3 since now we know the truth about the momma.

I'm speechless. This my first time reading Dominique's work and wow. She has outdone herself. This series is incredible from the characters, to the realistic storyline to all the plot twists. It's well written and a page turner!! A must read! You won't be disappointed!!

Carlos you loose neck, boudin ball eating, life force sucking, crypt keeping, miserable, manipulative geezer.
Things started really unraveling in this installment. Carlos was desperate baybeeeee; down bad ain’t the word. Carlos was at rock bottom digging. He was legit mad in this one. Who gon kill him because at this point I’m starting to think the Chery’s are incapable. Who is gonna knock him off his square. The horrible things that came out in this book about himmmmm, chile. They need to gon ahead and put a price on his head cuz he has got to go, tuhday!
Masami really held out as long as she could because babygirl was stubborn, had the nerve to be ignorant and arrogant about it. Sweet pea, pick a struggle. She was riding with Carlos like he was her man.
Seeing the girl’s growth in this one hit home. Really depicted how being loved by the right man can change your perception and ideology about partnership and love.
The men in this series, whew! Yaseer, Peace, Promise, Life….🤌🏾

my mind is blown
As I attempt to pickup my mouth off of the floor after reading the end of this book I can only exhale. This series is so good so far and this book was intense. We saw all of the girls making their own choices and the consequences of those choices - whether present or the possible future of them. The men who are linked to these women don’t play about them. We also saw a changing of the guard with a new HNIC being sworn in. The OG’s made a return and set things on the path to rightness. Some people just can’t let things go, power, grief, revenge and lies has gone to all of their heads, clouding their judgment, hearts and minds.
This was an amazing book 2 and the series is getting better and better.

That ending!
Prior to the ending, I was rating this 3 stars. Overall the story is intriguing and paced well. But between the many characters and the layers of things happening with each. I would find myself confused with who did what.
And also- while Carlos is dealing with consequences. It’s not enough for me. But that ending! I figured what the girls were told wasn’t true, but now I’m curious how all of this come together.
Imani is the real MVP. They’re lucky to have folks like her and Lyfe around. Someone to challenge the level of poor parenting they were given by Carlos. Cuz he was abusing them and calling it love. Can’t wait for his demise.

Ooohhh I don't like Carlos!!!
I still don't like Carlos. He rubbed me wrong in book 1 when he popped up in the church but this plot twist...OMG the man is just evil. He is skin crawling evil. His selfishness I don't like but the level of evil in that man for him to cause that type of trauma in his children is equal to Satan himself. I still don't like Yaseer. Something about his constant knowledge of Mei and everything she does or feels creeps me out. It's like he got a tracker in her that tells him her whereabouts, heart rate and even if she passes gas.

Man it just keeps getting better. I realllly hope that Carlos pays for all his sins. He is the absolute worst, look up selfish in the dictionary you will see his picture. I feel for the Toussaint girls because they were trained to be the way they are. Carlos messed their loves up, but thank God they have the strong men they need by their side. That ending…whew! Looking forward to reading the finale.

This is one rollercoaster of a read. It can sometimes be overwhelming because there are a lot of characters, four sisters, one brother, some possible half brothers and sisters… then it’s their partners, their partners siblings, friends, and exes… damn, that’s a whole lotta people!!! So, yeah, each book should have come with a glossary of characters or a family chart 🤦🏽♀️

Book two was right on point. Carlos is so power-driven. I love how the girls are breaking away from their father. Baby girl Boston really got her lick back. I hope they find Cage brother. I'm loving the men put into their lives. Yaseer is really loving on Meilani and slowly breaking her down. I just hope he can forgive her. Another good book...I can't wait to see how everything unfolds for the Toussaint siblings.

Omg- things kind of escalated fast in this book!! So many moving parts! Yaseer, Lyfe, Peace and Promise are all growing on me forreal! Like especially Yaseer! He is going to go off when he find out what Mei is up to!Lyfe being there for Masami regardless of knowing the truth about her… Still don’t know why Boston switch up on Namari, and Maia she is in love with Promise child. The endingggggg is crazy wasn’t expecting that!

Honey!
I thought that Misguided was good, but baby, Misbehaved was awesome. I’m on pins and needles waiting on Misunderstood. This action packed book was well written, flowed well, kept my attention and was overall great. Lies were exposed, secrets were kept and families were torn apart. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for these characters.

I’m glad Promise did more than small talk, he bossed all the way up which allowed me to start liking Maia. Thank you Promise!!!
I’m still indifferent about Masami but she’s growing on me, Mei as well.
The men haven’t developed much so I still feel the same but Promise? Promise is EVERYTHING

Whewschitt!!!
Another great installment. It has been heartbreaking but refreshing to see the Toussaint girls tap into their feminine energy. The pacing and flow of this book was steady and done well. There was no shortage of drama! I can't wait for the next installment!!
