Rachel Smith is partners with Lucas. They are private investigators. Her brother Chaz is a drug lord. She hasn’t talked to him in over 5 years. She switched to her mother’s maiden name when she was 19 years old and that was 10 years ago. She wanted to be away from her brother and the family business. She ends up being kidnapped.

Axle is one of her kidnappers. He is part of the Steel Heretics MC and they take Rachel to his home because it is remote and not many people know he owns it. Chaz owes a lot of money to them and their partner Charlie. They need to use Rachel as leverage.

Will Chaz care enough about his sister Rachel to save her? Will he send her ruthless stalker Victor after her? What do the kidnappers know about her partner Lucas that Rachel doesn’t? Will Axle let Rachel be hurt?

A lot of complicated characters but that is what made the story so exciting. I never knew what was going to happen next.

The scenes are so elaborately detailed and vividly descriptive with colorful scenarios it gives the illusion you're right there in the middle of ground zero with them. I loved the unexpected twist, suspense, intrigue and of course the chemistry between Rachel and Axle.
I think this is the best of the series. The storyline was well thought out. And the secrets, lots and lots of secrets were revealed slowly. Be still my beating heart.
Excellent and the HEA at the end was well deserved.

Rachel is a pawn in a deadly game between the Steel Heretics and her brother. Her life is in their hands. Will her brother come through in the end or will she find love in the hand of her captor. This action-packed drama kept me glued to the pages from start to finish to see how this end.

Love this series and couldn't wait to read Axle's story. I knew when he fell he would fall hard! Rachel, even falling for the person that kidnapped her, was perfect for him coming from the family she did. Such a good book!

This excellent MC storyline has drama, violence, suspense, intrigue, chemistry, twists, and intense situations. The MCs are defined, are engaging, and have amazing chemistry. I loved this entertaining and enjoyable read. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review.

Good read

Wow Axle is a dark character and we find out in this book why he is like that. An assignment to gain stolen money back brings him in touch with Rachel who is also hiding a past. Great reading.

Very Good Read

I really love reading about Axle and Rachel. Axle kidnapped Rachel, he took her to his house in the basement. Then phone calls are being made. You must read this story to find out the rest.

This was a story of intrigue, secrets revealed, twists and turns and a growing attraction between Axle and Rachel. Really enjoyed this last book.
