Ok, so first off… WOW! I want to thank the Co-Author, Leslie Sommers for giving me the privilege of escaping in this mystical, heartwarming, adventurous and inspiring sequel to her Brighde Amulet series. If you like Harry Potter and/or Percy Jackson, you will DEFINITELY enjoy this book!!

My review will be different than most. In old writing, an “Acrostic” is a form of poem that helps describe a word through contextual writing. My prompt word of choice for the review, “GROWTH.”

G Growth; relating to, how this books transformation from the first made waves of improvement through character, storyline, setting and mysteries. The mystical nature of how the story allowed you to feel like you were actually there, experiencing it with the character is beautiful in its own nature. A brilliant expansion of the many talents the author holds, and I can not wait to experience more!

R Riveting; brilliantly crafted with its ability to engross you in the setting, life and family of Bridget. The heartwarming soundtrack to her “romantic” side, and the passion felt anew after the pain of an ex. The family (friends) old and new that show the conditional love of a family, unconditionally! The adventure through her experiences, dreams, lessons and journey leaves you feeling alive!

O Original; bringing you smack dab right back into the thick of it from the first book without skipping a beat. The originality of how clever, whimsical, productive and creative her words are can not be ignored. From the first book to the next, Bridget is true to herself, but her originality blossoms into something beautiful even more than before.

W Whimsical; Bridget’s growth from the time you leave her in her high school days from the first book to now has become ever more impressive than perceived. The cleverness in her wit, the fluidity in her confidence sends chills down your spine, but adrenaline through your veins in a way to uplift you with every passing moment leaving you mesmerized from her unpredictable mannerisms.

T Transforming; as inspiration sets in on the journey ahead, the passion of how each chapter, character, setting and development on climax is so transformative. Bridget grows beautifully in herself through so much love, confidence and commitment. Each character transforms in their own way, and the adventures become more infectious, leaving you flipping pages and enjoying the ride!

H Humble; despite being an author, good people, and someone I admire, Leslie has remained more humble than most through her journey.
Bridget and the amulet series has been such an amazing experience for me. I have never touched a fantasy book in my life. She offered her book as a “gift” I never knew I wanted. I thank her for now understanding the feeling everyone gets from fiction. As a nonfiction person, I never understood the “escape.”
READ the amulet series, and allow yourself to feel the escape that now I can humbly share with others 😊!

Thank you Leslie and Janice Sommers for an amazing experience! I can not wait for the final book in your trilogy!!

This series is really Captivating and engaging. I love the cover photo of this book. It is the second book in an adventurous YA series that is a mixture of Celtic mythology and Scottish folklore.

Brighde Redefined follows our strong heroine Bridget, whose character develops further in the second book after graduation. I really loved the character development of the protagonist and got to grow and explore new aspects of magic and romance with her in this coming-of-age story.

The characters are relatable, the action is engaging, the world-building is immersive and balanced between fantasy and realism, and the plot is well-crafted. I would recommend this series if you are a fan of the Crave series, Percy Jackson, or fast-paced fantasy adventure.

This series has captivated me! This is the second book in an adventurous YA series with Celtic mythology and Scottish folklore.

Brighde Redefined follows our strong FMC Bridget who’s character arc continues to develop further in the second book post graduation, and we as readers get to grow and explore new terrain regarding magic and romance with her in this coming of age story.

The characters are relatable, the action is engaging, the world building draws you into the story with a balance of fantasy and realism, plus the bones of this plot are terrific. I would recommend this series if you are a fan of the Crave series, Percy Jackson, or fast paced fantasy adventure.

First, the editing of this book was MUCH better than the last one!
Second, such excitement! Caught up in who's really who, who knows what, who SHOULD know what, what's the next step, where do we go from here????
Waiting patiently to get my hands on the next and final installment of this series!!
I love their style of writing, easy - smooth - clear. Minor side note: would have appreciated the glossary of terms placed in the beginning of the book.
On a whole, loved it!!!

The development of the characters continues in a smooth, reassuring and believable way which has a tendency to get lost in a lot of stories nowadays. As the story continues to unfold you learn more about what truly drives each character and feel their heartbreak and excitement for yourself. Great sequel!.

This is the second in a series of YA books. This sequel was quite good and continued the saga in a way that kept me engaged. The one weakness was the inability of Bridget to allow herself to be protected. I think that was unrealistic. I’m looking forward to the next installment.
