The Price of Folly: British Blunders in the War of American Independence

Rate this book
This volume aims to show that but for the many political and military mistakes made by British politicians and, to a lesser extent by the service chiefs, the War of American Independence need never have been fought, and if fought, need not have been lost. Some of the battles are described in some detail, and it is intended that the outline account given for the others is sufficient to enable the reader to understand the action within the context of the narrative.
