Rate this book
Carnivals, Cannibals, and Clowns. Oh My!
Wanna go for a ride?
Meet Jigglyspot, a five-foot tall half human half warlock carnival clown who spends his free time moonlighting as a drug dealing pimp and lackey for demonic entities who prey on the weak and vulnerable, casting their dark shadow across humanity through manipulation, and fear.
Jigglyspot was selected to serve as the event coordinator for 2019's Summer Solstice Celebration at the prestigious Cannibal Café. A celebration that brings together both demon and human alike. But with less than two weeks before the celebration, Jigglyspot's got so much to do and little time to do it. And the feds are hot on his tail. Between securing new recruits for demonic possession, choosing fresh bodies to slice and dice for dinner, and the fact that his girlfriend, Kera, is eating up most of his time, Jiggly's at his wit's end.
Hopefully, those demons appreciate all his sacrifices. Hopefully, but unlikely. Those demons can be hell to deal with. Jigglyspot knows; he's been dealing with them for decades.
Will he rise above, or will tragedy and mayhem lead to dire discoveries poisoned with manipulation and betrayal that will ultimately destroy all Jigglyspot holds dear? Discover Jigglyspot and his cast of clowns, killers, demons, and wretched fiends, in a novel like you've never experienced. Horror, mayhem, thrills, chills, fantasy, and spoils are waiting for your reading eyes with an escape into the underworld of mind control and human slavery.
This book contains scenes with profound psychological suffering, and graphically violent acts, behaviors, thoughts, deeds, and ridicule. No one has been spared, and no label is safe. Although we are proud to report, no animals were harmed during the writing of this novel, so that's a good thing. Everyone else is fair game. After all, if you were a demon, what would you think of humanity?
Fans of Grady Hendrix, Catriona Ward, Clive Barker, and Stephen King will be captivated by this edge of your seat, eye-popping, wtf horror novel that is certain to be your next addictive read. As they say, you don't just read Jigglyspot... You DEVOUR Jigglyspot!

I listened to the audiobook, and what a wild ride it was! There's plenty of wtf... did that just happen moments to keep me thinking what on earth could possibly happen next.

The story is told from multiple points of view and has some pretty horrifying and gory moments that made my skin crawl. We have clowns, demons, aliens, body snatchers, and multidimensional goings on, and that's only part of this twisted tale.

It was paced perfectly with the tension and horror ramping up as the story unfolded. It had that classic trapped claustrophobic feel that I love. The narration was great, and the story is well written.  I feel the author has a very messed up mind, and I was here for it!

I don't want to give anything away as I feel you should go in blind with this one for the full experience.

With thanks to the author for providing an audiobook version of the book. This is my honest review that I'm leaving voluntarily.

Oh what a ride! And the narration 🤌🏻🤌🏻

Jigglyspot and the Zero Intellect by PD Alleva:
Clowns, aliens, cannibals, multiple dimensions, what more could you ask for?!
Multiple pov with a lot of details so this definitely a book you need to have full focus on. The character development is amazing so I was able to connect to most of the characters and care about what happens to them. So many twists and turns, it's hard to predict what will happen next! David Samuels was a great narrator; tone fluctuating and changing voices for each character made it very enjoyable, especially with such a long book.

This is the first book I've read by Alleva and I am hooked.

I'm not usually a fan of horror, but I couldn't resist another book by PD Alleva. I wasn't disappointed.

The story takes you into the depths of the minds of several characters, As their stories unfold, you go from feeling compassion for them for their troubles to despising them for their actions, or vice versa. In the words of Jigglyspot, "None are innocent." And nothing in the story is quite as it seems from the start. I loved how all the story lines came together as the story progressed.

It has some horrific, cringe-worthy moments, so if you're sensitive to stories with abusive behavior, this may not be the book for you. It has lots of triggers, although not gory and sensationalized just for the sake of it. It all fits in with the horrifying events that unfold.

The story is certainly one that's worth reading.

I really enjoyed the killer in this one. However, I was a little lost sometimes trying to bounce back and forth between detective vs killer.
I will also say that as someone who struggles with anything to do with small children, this is probably not the read for you. It was a very big struggle but I am also very easily triggered with small children in horror.
Overall, I do love this author and his work so I recommend him 100%
