This is the third book in the “Custer Falls” series, and boy, was it a good one.

Firstly, thank you to the author for sending me this ARC, which is full of blood, gore, extreme violence, and sex.

Shelly DeShemp is a woman in her 70’s, who lives alone in her home, which she believes is haunted. After taking a fall, and breaking her leg, she is taken to hospital, but on her return home, she is met by Caregiver Luann and her husband Thomas, who have been organised by Debbie, Shelley’s niece, to care and assist Shelly in her recovery. But all is not as it seems, and before long, things take a turn for the worse.

This was a good little haunted house story, which I read in one sitting.

Highly recommended.

Updated review:

Have you ever read something and then felt like you need a bath immediately after?? Would you like to experience that?? Well.... do I have good news for you!!! Have some hot ass bath water and maybe some bleach ready because things are about to get nasty!!

Please be WARNED. This book is EXTREME HORROR and contains a lot of extreme violence,  gore, and sexually explicit scenes. This is not a book to be taken lightly and should not be read UNLESS you are 100 % aware of and comfortable reading this type of content.

Now that the formalities are out of the way....HOLY SHIT!!!  Is this book disgusting? Absolutely. However,  Hitz has an apparent talent for making the most vile content palatable.  Even though the things I was reading were horrid, I couldn't stop reading. I was enthralled and invested in this story, and if I had to gag my way to the end, so be it!

How would I classify this tale?? Well, it's definitely not your run of the mill haunted house, and it's  not your typical occult tale either. To call it a story of possession would sell it short. Truthfully, it simply fits in no box. This story is best experienced organically,  so I am going to keep this as brief and as spoiler free as I can.

Custer Falls is definitely not somewhere I would want to ever live but I'll be dammed if I don't want to read each and every fucked up thing that he does to its inhabitants! Luckily for me, there seems to be a few other Custer tales and even more in the works!

Shelly is an old woman living in a home that is not the safest for a woman of her age, and the stairs...well, they are the least of her worries. After a fall leaves her incapacitated and unable to fend for herself, her niece hires a "family friend" to be her caregiver. But the house and inhabitants aren't who or what they seem, and it's only a matter of time till the walls will be dripping in blood!

This book made me a  D.W. Hitz fan, and I will be  grabbing any and every one of his titles  I can get into my greedy hands! Seriously, gimme gimme!!!! And I  definitely think you should  pick it up too!

If you are looking for extreme horror... or if you want to be horrified and grossed out...this right here is your book!

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

The third book in the Custer Falls series. I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into this one as I'd loved the first two. And while it was filled with the gore and violence I've come to love from this author, I found myself unable to get that same enjoyment from this one. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it, because I did. But something just didn't connect with me this time. I'm looking forward to starting the ARC of the fourth book at the end of this month.

3.5 rounded up to 4. Shelley always knew her house was haunted but she didn’t care. She was busy getting railed by her husband. I’m not even kidding. Anyways (I’m great at reviews) she is now older and has a fall that leaves her with a fractured leg despite being told she should have stayed on the first floor (sounds like one of my patients never listening to me- for real). Once the care givers come she realizes something is not quite right with them or the house.

This one is wild. Batshit wild insane bananas crazy horror. It felt like a fever dream. Tons of gore and sex and blood and spiders and pigs and….everything else you can imagine. Did I say blood?
My only critique is I wish we got a little more character development since the characters fell a little flat for me and sorry I am one of THOSE readers. Otherwise highly recommend if you’re looking for something wild.

“The room was sealed shut, likely by whatever force was making her home into an ascending sea of blood, spiders, and zombies. And there was one behind her now.”

Whoa! This was definitely the most extreme and violent entry into the Custer Falls books so far- at least in my opinion.

Shelly’s an odd old lady, but harmless and unharmed, until she falls down the stairs in her house. No one could’ve foreseen the evil that spreads from the third floor upon her return from the hospital.

Every horrible event that could happen in Shelly’s house…. Did happen. Well, at least almost everything, I guess it didn’t burn down… yet. Murders, cults, elder abuse, malicious care aides, malevolent forces, creepy crawlies, and so many more horrifying things occur in the old Victorian house. You’re going to want to buckle up for this read!

This is another of DW Hitz's extreme stories, and let me tell you, they just keep getting better and better (and more fucked up and gross!) 🖤 This book will suck you in, crawl all over you and then embed itself in your subconscious forevermore!!

Her niece Debbie had warned her of the dangers of living alone in that old house of hers, especially at her age, but Shelley paid her requests no heed and stubbornly continued on. Until the day she falls down the stairs and a broken leg begins the start of her horrific, mind-bending downfall.

In order for her to stay in her home after the accident, she reluctantly hires a couple of live-in carers. But the lovely Luanne and her partner Thomas, have an ulterior motive. Thomas' childhood was brutally dark and depraved, and he gets a savage reminder of this when trying to scam Shelley out of her home and possessions.

The past collides mercilessly with the future with surreal and barbaric results. Back in the past, Buster, Shelley's deceased husband, was having an affair, a brutal, violent affair, that only increased once he brought his lover back to the marital home. A woman scorned is not to be messed with, but a dead mistress scorned……oh shit!!

Shelley is a highly sexed woman and that hasn't lessened with age or the loss of her husband. She takes a bit of a shine to Thomas, with some truly stomach churning dreams and events stemming from it! Dark and disturbing feelings that seem to stem from the heart and soul of the house start to affect everyone that enters. Luanne however is drawn to another house, and another couple, and she follows her instincts into a new way of life that seems to be already marked out for her, and ultimately, to sacrifice….

Very steamy 🥵, sick and disgusting, made my skin crawl quite literally, and still does, this is a wild, extreme ride, absolutely drenched in blood, sex and depravity! It's utterly chilling too, the horrors within these pages will take you to the brink of insanity, and that's just the lead up to the mind blowing conclusion to this tale. Fast paced and rammed full of action, gore, raw visceral images, rituals, sacrifice, zombies, fucked-up fucking, and supernatural delights, this is horrifying nightmare material that will leave lasting visions and sensations burnt into your brain and making your skin crawl for all of eternity……. perfect!! My new fave Hitz!! 🖤🕷️

Well, I was warned, explicitly, by the author himself, not to read this! It's there, in the synopsis. But, c'mon, who pays attention to these things? Well, the warning is no gimmick: 'You're Going to Die In Here,' the third entry in the Custer Falls Extreme Horror series, will make you gag, will give you nightmares, will push all those delicate buttons you really don't want pushed! (or do you?) There's blood, sweat, and juices of all kinds; but also sex-fueled geriatric horror, creepy crawlies, demons, that cursed tub, mandibles, kinky marital sex, ghosts, crucifixion, depravity, and... so... much... pain! OK, you get the picture. And it's not pretty - leave your triggers at the door. The story, however, is not only pretty, it's brilliant! Hitz has the gift of taking standard horror tropes (hauntings, possession, etc.) and putting them through the blender, coming up with terrific splatter, extreme horror stories! This time there's an old woman, Shelly, she breaks her leg and needs help at home. Neither the help nor her home are what they seem: but Shelly is not your typical old maid, either. Things escalate very fast, the house shows its true colors (that thing on the third floor - yikes!), and poor Shelly has to face everyone's demons, plus her own. The ending is epic, a true blockbuster finale only Hitz knows how to produce! Thanks to the author for the ARC and the chance of an early read and review!

There is a warning on the cover of this book and it’s sure accurate! If you love sex, violence and gore then you’re in for a treat.

Shelly DeShemp is an older woman living alone in an older house. Her husband passed away some time ago, and she is sure that a presence haunts the house. She’s just not sure how bad it is until the story progresses and we find out.

She falls down the stairs, injuring herself badly and has to accept help from two strangers who aren’t what they seem. They are supposed to care for her, but we soon find out their true intentions.

This is a great story full of triggers and a satanic presence. DW knows how to make the reader uncomfortable as much as he knows how to tell a great story.

DW Hitz has absolutely done it! This has got to be the most gag- worthy book I have read to date. This book has it all- blood, vomit, piss, sh*t, guts, creepy sex, occult, insects, pus, pigs, c*m, torture, demons, inc*st, disgustingness galore; did I mention blood? This story is a freaking wild rise with Twists upon twists upon twists! I give it 5🕷🕷🕷🕷🕷 !

This was my first D.W. Hitz book and what a flippin wild ride it was!!

This was definitely and extreme story and ranks right up there on my top 5 most disgusting, yet chef's kiss worthy stories I have read this year!

It has a ton of graphic, violent sex scenes. It is vile, disgusting and definitely depraved, just the way I like it! There was a scen in the book, where I wanted to stop reading, but just could not seem to get my eyes to stop reading, you know like when you see something that makes you want to hurl, but you can't look away, yeah it was like that...I could just feel the look of disgust on my face and it didn't go away for a bit. I definitely took a shower after that chapter, as I felt so dirty after!

PLEASE, if you have triggers to any of the things mentioned above, DO NOT pick this one up, it's not for you...

But if you love all things blood, guts, gore, sex, sex and did I mention sex? Get out there and pick this one up when it comes out next week!

After an injury Shelly needs some outside help. Luann and Thomas move in to assist her. At first, they seem wonderful and then Shelly experiences something much darker. Not only with the couple but also her home.

I knew this trip to Custer Falls was going to be extreme, but this book exceeded my expectations. It is jam packed with things that will make your skin crawl and your jaw drop. It’s gory, it’s violent and Shelly… well she brings quite a bit of spice to this book. Even in her old age she could make just about anyone blush or puke.

Hitz put his own spin on the haunted house/possession theme. There is never a dull moment. In fact, it’s like things pick up steam and get more insane as the story unfolds. If you’re looking to be uncomfortable and want a front row seat to depravity, take a trip to Custer Falls and read this book.

Yuck, yuck, yuck!!! I'm not one for triggers, but this novella almost gave me one. D. W. Hitz did it again, and produced a creepy, disgusting little book that truly gave me the heebie jeebies. I'll never see bugs the same way again, and if I see a spider, I may just cry. I had so much fun? reading this, and can't wait to read the next one. Way to go, Mr. Hitz. You made me cringe and have a great time all at once, and that takes talent.

“The house was going to be the home they needed to raise their family—more than just a shelter, it would be a family member, a living thing that would guide them, protect them, and be the place of safety they needed.”

Buster and Shelly found the perfect home to raise their family. The proverbial suburban dream; “their brand new Victorian home in The Hills”. They just knew this was the place that their family would lay down roots to grow their family, generation after generation.
They just didn’t realize that the spirits of the house had other plans. Its roots were in stark contrast to their lovely vision… Dark, maggot filled and spider infested with evil sprouting from every crack and crevice. Just waiting to seize upon the right opportunity.

This book is part splatter, part creature feature, part horror with a bloody smattering of courageous love, strengthened by the family ties that bind (for some, quite literally).

Our dear author went above and beyond with painting a picture that I’ll never be able to unsee; quite literally, because of all the scenes with eyeballs.
As I reviewed my notes for this review, I kept noting all of this absolutely brilliant imagery. Notice that I didn’t say beautiful, I said brilliant. It was starkly horrific in the best sense of the word.
So much so, that one of my best friend’s, who is splatter reader (like myself), admitted that she developed her first real book trigger. I won’t spoil it… but I will say to think elderly humans, maggots, zombies and some, umm, mating rituals (both solo and duo).

Even though I have not yet read the first two books in this series; it truly wasn’t necessary. I’ve been told it will add nuance and backstory, but the character development and the plot stood on their own merits. I can’t wait to see how much more I get out of this once I go back and read the first two.

“…there were monsters, things that defied her imagination and made her think she was going mad for thinking such beings could exist. And below it all, there was a whisper, a calling.”
I am heeding the “calling” and following it, right in the next grotesque installment of the Custer Falls series.
Believe me when I say, come with me and you won’t be disappointed.

In today's episode of Sex Fantasies Gone Wild, we'll explore the explosive fantasies brought to our intrepid cast by the evil house entity.

Poor Thomas thinks women spontaneously being skinned is sexy. The more skin splitting and rivers of blood, the hotter he gets. But wait! There's something even better than that, and now he can't get it up without thinking of his elderly patient's saggy, wrinkled body.

Then there's Shelly, the elderly patient who can't get enough of Thomas' physique. Laid up in bed, she has plenty of me time to fantasize about getting it on with Thomas human centipede style. What could possibly be sexier than puking into someone and drinking it back down along with their, ahem, contribution?

And poor, delusional LuAnn. She just can't stop thinking about carving Thomas up like a Thanksgiving turkey. But don't forget the creepy crawly on the third floor with the breeding kink of the century!

There haven't been many times in my life where I've questioned my ability to read a book, but You're Going to Die in Here was 100% one of those times. D.W. Hitz is a master of the gross and disturbed. This book is foul, it's disgusting, and it'll have you retching before the end. It's also an absolute delight!

My very first horror movie was Eight Legged Freaks, and all these years later, I can still remember the exact scene that completely terrified me. From the moment I got to a certain scene, all that nostalgic terror came rushing back and gave me the heebie jeebies. This was masterfully written and an excellent addition to this series. Even though I had to put the book down a few times for a breather, I couldn't help but pick it right back up and see what depraved things I was going to find next.

Big thank you to the author for giving me an early look at this! Y'all ain't ready for this one!

I really enjoyed the other two books in the Custer Falls series. The first is Larval Seeds, and the second is Stay Out of the Tub!! You don't have to read the other two to read this one, but you should! They are raunchy, grotesque, violent, campy, and are a ton of fun! If you want the Kindle version of You're Going to Die in Here, it's available for preorder and launches on October 6th. You're able to purchase the paperbacks starting today.

You're Going to Die in Here is not your average haunted house story because it's set in Custer Falls, where there are demonic bugs, evil entities, zombies, and so much more. Shelly is an elderly woman who breaks her leg and gets in-home care. She doesn't realize how haunted her house is until things escalate in the book. Also, everyone has secrets that are uncovered. Shelly is a very dirty old woman.

This was one of the craziest books I've read in a while! Just when I thought things couldn't get worse for the characters, it did. D.W. Hitz takes everything to an extreme level with incredible imagination. Some people might put this book down to wash out their eyeballs, but I didn't. I couldn't look away. The plot is fascinating. The thing on the third floor is really hellish. D.W. Hitz does very well with vivid and vile descriptions. I felt like I was in this nightmarish house with blood, guts, and monsters surrounding me. I could literally feel my skin crawl because of the hordes of spiders. If you're looking for something fun and horrific, this book is for you!

Like the caption says, this is an extreme horror novel and it's not for everyone. That being said, naturally I loved every page of this vile little book.

The story follows Shelly DeShemp. She's a mid 70's widower. Shelly has a horrible accident at her home and needs live in care while she heals from her injuries. If only she had listened to her niece and moved her bedroom downstairs, then all of this could have been avoided. Her niece, Debbie knows the perfect people to give her aunt the care she deserves...or does she? What follows in the third installment of the Custer Falls saga is truly the stuff of nightmares.

Make no mistake about it. This is an extreme tale. Full of sex, blood, spiders, zombies and did I mention...lots of sex? D.W. Hitz knocked this one out of the park. This is book #3 in the series, but they can be read in any order. Keep your eyes peeled for the release of this one. #booksfromthedoomsaloon #creepinitreal

All I have to say is .. WOW!! This book actually surprised me. I didn’t know how much of a punch this little book was gonna give. It was everything above and beyond amazing! I have definitely moved this author into my top favorites. This story is a normal haunted house horror with twists of zombies, gore, bug manifestation, nasty porn and amazing disgustingness!! It was such a fun ride, I was on the edge of my seat with anticipation. The scenes were as if you were watching them in a movie instead of reading them off of a page. So intense that a lot of them will forever be imbedded into my head. As an avid reader and reviewer of all genres (especially splatterpunk and extreme) I consider myself one of the few that doesn’t have any triggers (IYKYK). After reading this I almost stumbled upon a trigger for myself that I shared with Mr Hitz and my best friend, who reads and reviews the same books with me. That is proof that this book has some intense, real life, “what the f*ck did I just read” action scenes! When you read it, let me know and I’ll tell you my new found trigger, you might agree and have a new trigger for yourself! This story is actually the third book of the series (the 4th following soon) but, it can be read as a stand-alone. I have yet to read the other stories in this series, but I will get my hands on them soon! Happy reading yall! Don’t let the bed bugs bit!!

HOLY HELL, WHAT A RIDE! Mental note to tell my daughter if I ever hurt myself not to hire in-home care! Poor Shelly has a fall and breaks her leg. Her daughter hires a couple as her in-home caretakers. Wellllll, little does Shelly know that the female caretaker is going to fuck around and open the gates of hell right there in her house and all kinds of nasty and gnarly shit is going to go down. I’m going to leave it at that as I don’t want to add any details. You folks need to read this gross-ass book for yourselves. Oh, and by the way, I freaking loved it! 5 blazing blood-dripping stars!

Well, look no further, because this is the book you’re looking for! This one was definitely extreme, in so many disgusting ways. While this type of book isn’t necessarily for me, I’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to read this ARC. If this is your type of book, then definitely go preorder this bad boyyyy.

This is my 5th D.W. Hitz book if we're counting the anthology he put together. I gotta say, WTF! Then again, the cover contains a warning about this being an extreme read, lol.

Seriously, though, D.W. does it again. He's become one of my favorite authors in the horror genre. Man, he killed it, in a good way of course. The descriptions are as good as they can get. This is the haunted house trope on steroids. Easy 5 star read for me.

Wow, ok so please make sure to read all of the warnings that this book has because it is EXTREME HORROR, like extremely gory, unbelievably graphic, disgusting and just vile. It is a quick read but wow did the author do an excellent job. This is was my first introduction to his work but it will certainly not be my last. Another great book from this author. This is the third book in the Custer Falls series. When Shelly falls and breaks her leg in her own home her niece decides to hire two live in caretakers. The two caretakers seem to be good people but when the truth is revealed and their sadistic plan comes into play it’s too late for Shelly. Will she accept her fate or try to fight for her life?

You're Going to Die In Here
D.W. Hitz

Some of you may be old enough to remember going to horror movies that were precded by a warning on the poster or in the scene before it started that you may faint, get sick, or otherwise not be able to handle the movie. Almost always it never came close to the hype. In D.W. Hitz's "You're Going To Die In There", the warning just before the book begins is best heeded if you are squeamish or at all offended by gore, violence, and sexual depravity.
In the third installment in the Custer Falls Extreme Horror series, we have a twisted take on a haunted house tale, one that has been injecting anabolic steroids and drinking down viscera shakes. Shelly, a widow in her late 70s, lives in a house that she has known is haunted for years. Luckily that haunting has kept itself to one part of her house and she has simply avoided it. Due to an accident, Shelly needs live-in help till she recovers and her niece has a friend from college who is a caregiver. Luann and Thomas, an amiable couple, move in and at first it seems like a perfect situation The happiness ends there. They have nefarious motives that start out simple but turn horrifying.
What follows is a whirlwind of depraved sex, extreme violence, and blood. Lots and lots of blood. Add in some Satanic elements, creepy crawleys, and even more blood and you have a disgusting joyride of a read. If you are at all queasy refrain from eating while reading this book. There is a nice callback to a previous Custer Falls book that I won't spoil for you here. One thing I know is that now I am not sure I will ever visit my friend who has land in Montana, it might be too close to Custer Falls.

𝑶𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒆𝒏 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔, 𝑺𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝑫𝒆𝑺𝒉𝒆𝒎𝒑 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒐𝒍𝒅 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒂 𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒑, 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒕 𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒍 𝒏𝒐𝒘.

The third installment in the bizarre, violent world of Custer Falls, YOU'RE GOING TO DIE IN HERE was a sex-fueled, blood-soaked read that instantly grabs the reader by the throat and growls, "You've been warned."

Shelly is getting on in years, and she knows her house isn't safe, but it's hers. She's even made peace with the fact that it's haunted, but it isn't that bad. The only alternative is to go to a nursing home, and she would 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓. But when she suffers a fall on the stairs that results in a severely broken leg, the only way she can stay in her home is to bring in outside help. Two problems--her house is far more haunted than she ever realized, and her help does not bring the relief she was expecting.

If you are even a little bit prudish, you're going to blush like a you-know-what in church if you read this! Shelly's reminiscing about her and her husband's activities was rated X. I'm sure my face was twisted in a sour grimace while reading about the shared fantasy between elderly Shelly and her young male caretaker.

This was a quick, read fun that included nods to the two previous books. While it's not necessary to read them first as this book functions as a standalone, they're both excellent reads.

I am a HUGE fan of D.W. Hitz, and so even though this series is way outside my comfort zone, I happily gave it a go. This book was even grosser than the last two I read and he's honestly got a huge talent in the genre. These books bring on all the faces while I'm reading them and this book was most definitely no exception. I literally read most of it while peeking through one hand. It's very adult themed while at the same time being gory to the max and if you're into that kind of thing, you're gonna love this series, and especially this installment. 5 very extreme and bloody stars.
