With help from the guiding beams of the local lighthouse, the Makah Indians of the Pacific Northwest made a successful living from the sea. Chief Bright Arrow was proud of the quiet, peaceful life he led with his people. But his idyllic world changed the day he passed by a frozen pond and saw a golden-haired angel dancing across the ice as if by magic. Bright Arrow could see that the recent rains had caused the ice to melt, and his worst fears were realized when, after a loud crack, the young woman fell into the frigid water.
WARMED BY LOVE When Kathia Parish was pulled from the grip of an icy death by the strong arms of an Indian brave, she had no idea how she could ever repay him. But as the coming spring continued to thaw the frozen land, she felt her love for the muscled warrior with the midnight-dark eyes bloom. And though Bright Arrow's love was evident in his fiery kisses and passionate embrace, she was reluctant to give up the life she had carved out for herself, wary of leaving her ailing father behind, and hesitant to give up her dreams of dancing. Kathia hadn't planned on falling in love; all she could do was have faith that the beams of the lighthouse would guide her heart safely to its destiny.

Cassie Edwards remains on top as one of my favorite authors. She writes in a way that keeps me interested and makes me feel like I am in the story looking through a window watching it all happen in front of me. Not to many authors ave that effect on me. Some people say her stories are predictable and they don't like that. As long as her stories make me feel like I'm in a magical place far away from my daily worries and stress then I will continue to read and love her stories.
This story is about a young lady who is a ballerina and her brother who is a photographer who go and stay with their father for awhile because he is sick. Their father is a lighthouse keeper. They have to hire a new guy to attend to the lighthouse duties. He is interested in Kathia but she is not interested in him and puts him in his place. She practices her dancing while skating on the ice until she falls through, that is how she meets Bright Arrow. Of course they develope a friendship that grows into love which the new guy is not happy about so he tries to create problems along the way at one point he goes to far and gets caught.
I enjoyed this story. GAve it 4 out of 5 stars. I liked the closeness that they shared together as father, son, and daughter. They truly loved and cared for each other and that came across in the story. I liked how Kathia made every attempt she could to impress and be kind to Bright Arrows mom even though she made it difficult. She was willing to learn their language and customs so she could become a part of their tribe. Knowing the sacrifices she would have to make, give up her home and all it's modern things to live off the land and not have modern things available all for the love of a man...
What I didn't like about this story was Bright Arrows cousin character came out of no where. I was like " where did he come from?" I also didn't like that Kathias family couldn't witness the wedding. Maybe they could have h ad another ceremony that would have included them . They are a close family so that had to hurt them a bit.
So trashy. I am almost convinced there is no way a woman could have written this. Not only are basic woman facts horridly incorrect, it is also demeaning. There was only one mildly weird interesting part. This book was way too long for what it was and boorishly repetitive. I cannot believe anyone in their right mind would actually like this trash.
I had read this book of curiosity. I enjoyed reading this book because of the drama and the romance. I loved that the story was set in the Pacific northwest. I thought the novel was well written. It is a must read.
Out of all of her books, this one stands out to me the most. The engaging, touching plot line leaves you with a sense of having witnessed a great artist at work.
If you like sweet native-American romance you will love this book. Kathia is a famous ballerina home to take care of her ailing father. Bright Arrow is the chief of the Makah. This story takes place in the Pacific Northwest. Kathia and Bright Arrow meet when he "saves" her from an man coming up from behind her pointing something at her. There are the usual racial issues of the time but also she has a home and a career to give up. There's also a lover determined to have her not Bright Arrow and he will do anything. I loved it.
