Perfectly written story about a Russian Bratva daughter who has been sheltered but meets the Italian mafia boss. The Italian boss was to meet with the Irish mob boss to talk about an alliance but the Irish boss didn’t show up instead he had some of his men go to kill him. But the Italian boss killed the men that the Irish boss sent instead. The Italian boss decided to go talk to the boss who controlled most of the city so he went to talk to the Bratva boss who refused to align with him. So he figured out a plan to get with Bratva’s daughter so he could get the alliance that he wanted. After the first time where he snuck into her room, they started to get closer and she wasn’t afraid of him and what he was, he even told her about what her father does for a living. The Italian boss starts having feelings for her after a while thinking they can rule the city together. He starts getting her to do dark things as well as he starts giving her oral sex. The two men in her life try to make her decisions over them, the first time she chose family but after how her father treated her after choosing him she runs to the Italian boss. She figures out that the Italian boss likes her for her and would force her to change. Even though she doesn’t know what he is really trying to do. She decides to stay with the Italian boss and her father is outraged about it, he won’t talk to her but he does let her marry the Italian boss. Because her father thinks that the Italian boss has made her impure so he rushed the wedding to happen fast. She’s with her mother before walking down the aisle with her father taking her down it. The Italian boss is waiting for his bride to come to him, he thinks about molding her to be as dark as he is and about them ruling the city. She walks down the aisle with her father and her father gives her hand to the Italian boss. The characters are amazing as well as a wonderful page turner. The story has excitement, action and romance. It could be a great happy ever after but we will have to see.

When I read the first chapter, I thought that this book was supposed to be a comedy. Then I looked back at the blurb and realized that it isn’t supposed to be 😳 Here’s the breakdown: MMC/FMC- Luca and Natalya POV- 1st person dual Length- This book is Volume One of a planned trilogy, but could easily be combined with another book to make it a duet instead of a trilogy. Genre- Mafia Romance Sub Genre- Mafia with a side order of Bratva Heat- they don’t do the thing but he does visit Australia. Safety: The Hero is not celibate after he meets the heroine, but there’s no S. Violence or OM/OW drama. Cliffhanger? N, but story not resolved Triggers- Language, Graphic Violence, Explicit Erotic Content (including the use of the P word), mention of a s. assault (no details given) Tropes- Forbidden Love, Instalove, My Name Is Luca/I Live On The Second Floor, ̷V̷e̷g̷a̷n̷ Virgin Heroine, Mafia Princess, We’re All Mad Here What I liked- The Hero is crazy. He does things on a whim and unalives people nonchalantly. My first thought after realizing that this book is not a comedy: this clown has been the head of the Mafia for 20 years? But the thing is, he’s funny. And charming. And really amusing. In fact, I gave this book an extra star because he’s so entertaining. What I didn’t- the heroine is so weak willed that she allows Luca to convince her to do things that are against her principles. Because she loves him (and she has known him like ten minutes when she decides this. Gotta love the Instalove). Her dad was such a jackass through 2/3 of his own trilogy that I’m not surprised he’s being a jerk instead of, I don’t know, actually talking to his daughter like she’s an adult and possibly getting her to see that a smart woman would think really hard about being with Luca. Other thoughts- now the song “Luka” (by Suzanne Vega) is stuck in my head. 🎶My Name Is Luka/I Live On The Second Floor…🎶 Verdict- bottom line, this book is entertaining.

I really enjoyed Savage Union and felt Ivy Davis did a great job providing an original plot for Natalya and Luca's story. While the last few books Ivy has written have been short compared to her previous books it doesn't take away from the quality of her writing and the overall delivery of the story. My favorite thing about Savage Union is the way Luca and Natalya's relationship begins and plays out. This concept was completely different from all of Ivy's previous books and it endured me to this story. I am excited to see how Luca and Natalya will make their marriage work in the next book.
Luca tries to get Alek to agree to an arranged marriage between him and Natalya. Alek turns him down and tells Luca he will absolutely not be marrying his daughter and to stay away from her. Well, he isn't about to take no for an answer because he has an agenda to fulfill. Luca decides to do it his own way by seeking out Natalya and getting her to come to him on her own. They have some serious chemistry and he represents freedom to her. Where Alek has hidden the evils of his life - Luca brings them into the light and hides absolutely nothing from her. Natalya is slowly embracing the darkness. Can Natalya convince her father to let her have a relationship with Luca?

This dark mafia romance is fast-paced, exciting, romantic, and steamy. Luca Romano is head of the Italian mafia and has his sights sets on the Russian mafia princess, Natalya Antonov. The Italians and Russians are enemies but a marriage alliance could change the trajectory of their futures. Natalya’s father refuses the alliance so Luca has to be creative with seducing the mafia princess.
I absolutely LOVED these two characters! Natalya had been kept mostly prisoner in her family’s compound with limited social interactions. She’s definitely never been able to have a boyfriend. Luca is worldly — he is the bad guy every dad dreads that their daughter falls in love with. Luca may be a terrible man that does horrible things, but he’s nothing but amazing to Natalya. He was sweet but forward and knew exactly what his princess needed. I’m so excited for the rest of the trilogy books!
Fun fact: Natalya Antonov is Aleksander & Katia’s daughter — her parent’s story can be read in The Antonov Mafia series. It was great to re-visit Alek and Katia again. Tropes: Contemporary romance, mafia romance, dark romance, arranged marriage, forbidden love, age gap, virgin heroine, cliffhanger ending Heat: 3/5.

Natalya is a Russian Mafia Princess. She has been sheltered from her father’s business for most of her life. Luca is an Italian Mafia Don who wants to form an alliance with Natalya’s father. Luca will do everything he can to make Natalya his – in all ways!
Natalya is caring, sweet and innocent. When Luca breaks into her room one night, she is a little scared, but is drawn to this man who is dark, mysterious, and dangerous. When trouble finds Luca and Nat, she will see a different side of Luca – seeing this other side brings out something in Nat that she cannot explain and is ashamed of. Nat has fallen hard for Luca and he for her – to what lengths will Nat go to prove she is on Luca’s side?
Manipulation, secrets, violence, are just a few elements in this story. The first book of three ends on a cliffhanger, and I am curious to see what is in store for Nat!

Luca gets his jollies with stretching out his punishments. Two sides of Luca, the gruesome towards the enemies & the other being so loving & tender towards Natalya. Luca is adamant he has to have Natalya. She’s so naïve being a virgin & protected by an overprotective father. Her father doesn’t trust him & yet, she continues to sneak out of the house to meet up with him. Once her father discovers she’s at Luca’s house, dad believes she’s spoiled & reluctantly lets Natalya marry Luca. She loses her father if she marries Luca but she’s so drawn to Luca & his dark side. Will their wedding ceremony go forward without a hitch? Will they have a normal HEA? The suspense of a cliff-hanger has me intrigued on what’s going to happen next. This is going to be a very interesting relationship indeed!

This is a story of a mafia romance, but it isn't what I would consider traditionally arranged. Russian mafia princess Natalya is courted by Italian mafia don Luca. He wants to be allied with her father's crew, but Daddy Alek wants nothing to do with Luca and doesn't want Natalya anywhere near Luca.
I like this story because it shows the perils of sheltering a child too much. Natalya is enticed by Luca because he is open and honest with her about what goes on in the mafia, letting her observe and participate in the violence and brutality. I'm really curious about what will happen in the next installment of this story.

I love that this book basically continues with Alek and a grown-up Natalya. Alek being a hypocrite not watching his daughter with Luca because he says he's dangerous but he's willing to marry her off to another Mafia man. I love that Luca is dangerous and that he brings out Natalya's dark side. I can't wait for the next book to see what happens after their marriage. And I'm disappointed in Alek that he would basically cut off his daughter because she fell in love with somebody that he doesn't agree with.

Luca has a strong affection for the game, especially causing pain and killing. However, he is strategic in choosing his targets. Luca wants to form an alliance with the Russian mob boss Alek and decides to use Alek's daughter Natalya as a means to solidify the deal. Unexpectedly, Luca falls in love with her. This story has plenty of violence, a weird type of romance, and steam, ending in a HEA (?) and a cliffhanger. Very highly recommended.

I enjoyed the first book of Luca and Natalya's story. What surprised me just how she transfered from the sweet, innocent woman to something dark almost instantly. It definitely makes me wonder if Lucas's assessment of it already being in her was accurate. The drama they find themselves in wasn't surprising though nor the push back from her parents. I like how the plot flowed in the story, and it's going to be interesting to see what happens next.
This is book 1 of a trilogy and it ends on a cliffhanger. She’s a Russian Mafia princess, sheltered from her father’s business, a caring, sweet and innocent woman. He’s an Italian Mafia Don who wants to form an alliance with her father and will do anything he can to make her his. The drama they find themselves in isn't surprising. I like how the plot flows in the story, there is so much manipulation, secrets and violence. I'm looking forward to see what happens next.
this was a quick read. i read it within 2-2.5 hours. i did enjoy the storyline of the innocent girl being corrupted by the handsome, dark mafia boss. i enjoyed the story of how they fell in love. my one issue that played in a four star rating is the very close repetition of the word “goon” in the first chapter. i feel as if it was overused. other than that i’m excited to see how their story continues.

A rather short but good read. It did’t end in a cliff which I was happy for but you will have to get the next two books if you want to know about the story. Me, I prefer to read the whole story at once, but the author has graciously priced so it’s just a matter of waiting.

If you love short dark mafia romance then I highly recommend reading Luca & Natalya's story. He's head of the Italian mafia & my dad doesn't approve. What lengths will they go to be together? Will their story end in tears or a HEA?.

Loved it!!! I have no words but WOW this new spin off series was totally intense and I loved it. Once I started reading Savage Union I couldn’t put this book down. Natalya and Luca’s story was on the wild side and I can’t wait to see what happens when their story continues in Sinful Union.
This book has everything mafia and more! Alek is in charge of the Bratva and he will do anything to protect his family. When Luca comes and ask for Natalya‘s hand in marriage Alek is absolutely against it! Luca is dangerous and a bit unhinged and he doesn’t want him anywhere near his daughter!
Their love story is action packed and full of suspense and drama! Natalya loves how she can be herself around Luca but she knows it’s hurting her dad too and she doesn’t know what to do….their future is uncertain and they both know there could be dangers around every corner.
The story is not completed in this book so it does end with the knowledge that there is more too come!! Can’t wait to see where their next chapter takes us. Happy Reading!!
Alek & Katia’s book is just as amazing so check that out if you haven’t already! “Bound by the Bratva.”.
This is an intriguing story. Natalya and Luca are wonderful characters and the storyline is captivating. I was hooked from the first page and couldn't put it down until I finished it. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Highly recommend reading this book.
