A terrific resource for language learning, but it's not for absolute beginners. You need a fairly good base to benefit from this material. The lessons work on reading, writing, and grammar, as well as instructing in cultural knowledge. Altogether, this is really useful for learning conversational Swedish vocabulary and idioms, and translating correctly from English into Swedish.

The material is organized into short lessons - 5, 10, or 15 minute sessions - so you can fit learning in during available but limited time slots, and/or really focus on getting the most from each lesson without the pressure of future lessons building on previous ones. There are checklists to mark off the activities you've completed, and space to write your answers when needed. For those who actually like to write in the book (not me, I cannot deface a book like that!), you may wish that this was printed in a larger format and with a different type of binding to make writing easier.

A well-done resource to increase your knowledge of the culture and improve your language capability beyond that of the enthusiastic tourist.
