From USA Today & Wall Street Journal bestselling author Michelle Heard and debut author Tayla Louise comes a new STANDALONE, full-length CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE novel.
Life has taught me I’m forgettable, unless someone needs something from me. While things are going great, people forget I exist, but the second hell breaks loose, my number is the one they call.
It sucks.
Just once, I’d like to be a priority in someone’s life. I’d like to be taken into consideration. I want my voice to be heard. But that’s never going to happen. I’m the forgettable one. Always have been. Always will be.
Wanting to feel like I’m a priority for one night, I take matters into my own hands and book a date through The Perfect Gentleman’s service. I figure if I’m going to pay for the date, the guy will be forced to give me the attention I’ve always craved. I’m not going to lie, I almost cancel the date a hundred times, but gathering my courage, I head to the restaurant to meet Mr. Perfect. Mr. Perfect turns out to be PERFECT in the looks department. His blue eyes are seductive and playful, luring me in like a moth to a flame, and the dominance radiating from him actually makes me feel safe.
Little do I know my entire life is about to be turned upside down.

I didn't know what to expect from this book. I can honestly say I cried three times while reading it, there were moments that truly resonated with me on such a deep level. I truly could see myself within Lillian.
Her main pain comes from the fact that her entire life she has been forgotten by the people who should never forget her, by people who she loves and deserves that love back from. My connection to her was not about her family but about her friends, I saw glimpses of my own life within those moments. She feels utterly forgettable, this was not a pity party or a sudden development but you get to see how it is all true and nobody seems to even care.
I loved the way her pain and loneliness were captured, it felt genuine for me.
Callan was a bit of a surprise; I didn't expect his own past to be so deeply embedded within him. I expected a few things to happen concerning him, but I was sort of shocked when it never happened (not that I am complaining).
These two really balanced each other out. He was extroverted and out there in his everyday life while Lillian was stuck in the shadows the people around her had placed her into. He brought her a lot of comfort by just being near her and I enjoyed how wholesome so much of their time was.
Despite the misunderstandings and moments of hurt, the two of them were such a great match. I do wish it was fleshed out a bit more but that is just my need for drama :D Bear in mind you will be absolutely frustrated with certain secondary characters and their behavior, I literally wanted to throttle so many people while reading this.
This was definitely very different to what I am used to from Michelle, but it shows how incredible of an author she is to deliver something from the opposite spectrum and deliver. Also, a wonderful debut from Tayla!
If someone asked me to describe this book in two words? It would be HEARTWARMING AND WHOLESOME.
This book gave me so much feels and happiness. Lillian was a heroine who I related with so much (except for family, thank god). The writing is so beautiful and flowy (I’m making it a word 😛) that I felt everything she did, the panic, nervousness, giddiness, heartbreak and finally peace. She was constantly dealt with so much crap and she still picked herself up and moved ahead. And Callan? Yeah, I was sold when they said he is a Jensen Ackles look alike! But god, his personality…..chef’s kiss. I adored the way he treated Lilly. But what I loved the most about him was, how in touch Callan was with his feelings. He knew he was falling in love and instead of panicking or running away, he took necessary steps to know her mind. I LOVED THAT. He was just so self assured and confident AND kind. They both fit each other beautifully. Like Lilly teased him once, “your sh*t meshes well with my sh*t”!
I loved the angst and the comeuppance. The ending was so satisfying.
I hope this dynamic duo writes many many more books in future. Recommended, safe and KU.
I received an advance review copy and I’m leaving this review voluntarily.
Okay, so I read this book in one sitting, and I'll be honest I cried many times in this book because of the way Lillian was treated!!! It's been a while since I cried, and I hate that lol but yes!! Please go read this book!!!
Lillian is a stay at home person! He loves to make art and just a good person what sucks is she's taken advantage of. From her friends who ghost her and forget to invite her to lunch to her family who just plan to forget they have a daughter at all. She's tired of being ignored she wants to be seen. And my heart broke for her. 😭😭 She bumps into Callan, but nothing more comes from that, but Callan does take notice and is stuck on her. He doesn't meet her again until she signs up at his company for a "fake" date. Since she's nervous and Callan knows she has never done this, he's going to take her out. From that moment, he was conflicted but drawn to her.
From fake to real! He supports all her dreams, he's obessed!! Possessive, which works out for her since all she wants is to be number one in someone's life. And it's a match! I swear the things they do for one another. But there is drama, and it comes from her family and Callans' past. He does make a mistake, and it almost cost them their relationship. But I'm glad they worked it out!! Kinda wish the siblings and friends got more fuck you! Glad her parents did! Also wish there was more spicy scenes.
Angsty, no ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary character, drama, sexy times, no virgins

✔️ OTT possessive and Protective Alpha ✔️ He falls first and hard ✔️ Opposites attract ✔️ Knight in a Suit ✔️ Billionaire Hero, Sweet and Strong Heroine.
Beautiful, what a beautiful story it was. Ah! As soon as I got the ARC, I literally left everything and ran to read it first. Gosh! I couldn't put it down for even a moment. It was beautiful, Sweet, grieving, emotional, everything at once.
Callan and Lily, they are each other ying and Yangs. Total Opposites yet how perfectly they matched together. Callan's unwavering attention and unconditional love, are what needed to make Lily feel seen heard and loved. She is a strong girl, but with Callan they were strongest. The perfect duo. Misunderstanding happens we all know that, but making it clear between two persons, by confronting face to face is most important.
The whole story was great, Callan was definitely not like the other grumpy Billionaire heroes , he was the perfect extroverted cinnamon roll , who needed and got Lily's undying Love and supportivenesss forever. They were truly meant to be together from the very first.
Thank You Michelle, Tayla, Candicane Pr for giving me this opportunity to read THE ARC and review. I'm grateful to be able to read this amazing story before the release .
Well….that was boring. I wanted the feels. I wanted to be heartbroken for this “forgotten” heroine. But I just didn’t get it. Will some have all the feels? Sure, in fact it’s obvious some/most due based on the reviews. For me, it was just a miss.
There just wasn’t any angst. They met, he fell first, had an adult conversation about feelings, expectations, etc, and that was it. Yeah, there was the required “breakup” but I found that to not be very emotional. Maybe it’s me, maybe it’s my mood, maybe it was just to mature (adults acting like adults and actually communicating…minus one event), I don’t know.
Book is completely safe even though the Hero runs, and has become a billionaire, an Escort service. However, it’s not a sexual type of escort business. It has a no physical/sexual rule so it’s basically just men who women hire for dates. That’s it. No drama, no angst….
Highlight is that the Hero is described as a Jensen Ackles look a like and that alone deserves the 2 stars (if you don’t know who Jensen Ackles is do yourself the life changing favor and google that fine specimen of a man. The author choose a good model for her hero).
The writing is fine but the story isn't for me. The FMC is pathetic and hard to sympathize with. She's the female version of an incel. The entire plot revolves around how she's ignored by her awful family and friends. A normal person would replace them. Not this girl. She throws a pity party daily instead. If nobody likes you, you're probably the problem.
The MMC is somehow worse. He thinks the FMC is awesome for no real reason. He's also an insane control freak. Most people would describe his behavior as abusive. He requires the FMC tell him anytime she leaves her house, she has to pickup his calls and answer his texts immediately and she's not permitted to have male friends, never mind that the guy runs an ESCORT SERVICE and all his friends are women.
I like an alpha male as much as anyone but that's not alpha. They both need therapy, not a relationship.
This story was emotional and relatable. I felt so bad for Lilian she was so lonely, because often her family ignored her. Callan was possessive, dominating but caring. He had his own past trauma. They were attracted to each other and everything was going until a misunderstanding.
I also felt that Lilian's family deserved to suffer more. There was a perfect combination of angst and the misunderstanding lasted for 10% and they had a healthy conversation. Lilian might come out desperate for attention and love because she for once wanted to be a priority. She was always left out by her family and friends.
it was a sweet read, emotional for the topics that hunts both the FMC and the MMC.
I found it a tad repetitive at moments and it has a few typos here and there with a few errors (incorrect names referring to the same character and incorrect uso of pronouns) BUT nothing that a review and editing couldn't fix.
Me cae re gorda.
4.5⭐️ This is sweet but an emotional read. Many instances where I felt bad and resonated with Lily.
“What makes me so unlovable?”
“Seriously? Is it me? Am I the problem?”
The plot is quick paced, LILLIAN who has been treated her whole life as an after thought by her family and friends. She wanted to be someone’s priority, there enters CALLAN who runs a company Perfect gentleman, providing dates / Escorts for events. Lily hires him and they develop mutual attraction and try for more. Callan having control issues , thus being offered for Lily, who craves attention of at least one.
“The only man who saw the real me, CALLAN WRIGHT has turned my world upside down”
The character development is great , both of them.Really liked how they Callan is attentive to small things she likes.
Tropes: Strangers to lovers Billionaire romance Opposites attract He falls first Alpha hero/ Possessive
This was so good, I was swooning the whole time, Callan and Lily are the ultimate cute and sweet with a "sprinkle" of *misunderstanding that couldn't get in the way of their inevitable HEA.
Lily broke my heart at parts, I empathized with her 💔💔 it was unfair, and frustrating, it was real. As for Callan his trauma and loss were heartbreaking , yet his loyalty spoke volumes in the face of all the heartache.
💠 Billionaire Romance 💠OTT Possessive & Protective Alpha 💠Opposites Attract 💠He Falls First 💠Dominant Hero 💠Knight In A Suit
I loved The way the main characters got together, it was unique, CUTE ( yes cute is the word I'd associate with this book) and how Callan was upfront with the kind of man he was, (YESSSS , TELL'EM. )😏 The way he made Lily feel , be seen and has his full focus and attention. 🧎🏽♀️🧎🏽♀️🧎🏽♀️🧎🏽♀️
I cannot EMPHASIS on how satisfying the ending was ( IYKYK). I hate when in books they forget and forgive people who wronged the main characters their whole lives, in attempt to be positive and all the " la vie en rose" BS.
In this book , though, NOPE. NOT HAPPENING. Karma was here and it was served on a golden platter. Callan protected and shielded Lily in more way than one . I was fixated on that part, it spoke to me on a personal level. LOVED.
I've read the majority of Michelle Heard's books and this Co-write with Tayla Louise showed a strong presence of something new that worked perfectly with the dynamic of the book. Well done 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I love Michelle's brand of dark but this has Tayla's brand of cute and sweet. It's such a good combo 💙. 💙
the beginning was nice but they went from zero to 'a lifetime with you' in days. also, the h was amazing accordingly to the H but somehow no one liked her 🤷
"Forgettable. That's the word I'd use to describe myself. Mpt put of self-pity but because of how people make me feel."
This book had definitely hit a nerve for me! The loneliness that our heroine was experiencing along the bad behavior from the ones around her, made me connect with Lily in a deeper level! It is so sad and frustrating to read and live throughout these difficult circumstances! Everyone deserves love and attention, no matter what....
"Just once, I'd like to feel like a priority to someone."
Lilian was feeling unlovable since no one around her gave her a slight of attention... One day, she is deciding to take matters into her own hands and she is booking a date with an escort. At least, that way someone will give her the attention she was craving for... But she never thought that this new acquaintance will change her life forever...
"How sad is it that I have to pay for someone to give me attention?"
Callan Wright is the CEO of 'The Perfect Gentleman" services.... Even though he doesn't bother anymore with the clients, this once, he will make an exception... From the very first moment, Callan is mesmerized by this rare creature that Lilian is and he wants to conquer her and show her her real worth!!!
"She might be a client, and I'm just her escort, but my atraction for her makes it hard not to take a deeper interest in her."
I loved this couple.. My heart was bleeding for Lily and the awful attitude that the ones close to her had given her. She didn't deserve to be treated so poorly... Callan wasn't the usual type.... yes, he was possessive and bossy, but he gave to Lily something that nobody else gave her. He made her his priority and he gave her everything she deserved!
"This man makes me feel special."
I really liked this story... I already love and trust Michelle Heard, and Tayla grabbed my attention for good! This story was emotional and very yummy! I loved everything about it, even though I wanted to slap some people for their resentment toward our heroine! Callan was a beautiful character and i liked how effortless he was in tune with everything that had to do with Lily!... This couple was amazing and I enjoyed being into their presence very much!!!
"Thank you for making me feel unforgettable."
**I received an ARC for the exchange of an honest review**
*
It started very well and I clearly liked her a lot, in fact I identified at one point with Lillian and sympathized with her emotions. Callan was also interesting, I liked that she helped the protagonist at the beginning. However, right in the middle of the book the story fell apart for me, I could no longer connect with the characters, there were situations, words that were a bit exaggerated or ridiculous for my taste.
this was a different register from the usual mafia romance michelle heard has perfected, but no less unforgettable; she never disappoints. i know this story will stay with me, as will with every reader because it's impossible to no resonate with one struggle or the other depicted in this book.
*i was sent an arc by the author in exchange for a honest review
Poorly written but held my interest pretty well initially. But after Callans personality flip to possessive psycho bf I had to DNF. Lilys character made zero sense too, why do you have no one in your life yet you’re gorgeous talented and seemingly a nice enough person. Odd. But yeah after callan went psycho stalker I had to stop
Poor, sweet Liliana! She really was too good for those around her, and they were some spiteful, self-centered people…until fate brought her together with Callan. The story is sweet and moves fairly quickly. Some continuity issues occur here and there, and there were some detailed sentences/paragraphs I could have done without. Additionally, I felt like some of the small conflicts didn’t get fully resolved, but nothing that was crucial or overly frustrating.
It is an admirable effort for a (seemingly) first time author, being mentored by Michelle Heard, her mother-in-law! Know that the story line is pretty different from what a reader might expect from Ms. Heard, though.
Shall I dare say that this book will be “unforgettable?”
Michelle and Tayla have created something special. The emotional connection I feel with Lily is overwhelming. Tears came to my eyes several times because I could feel her pain and loneliness. I loved the ending she got. So fitting for the person she is. And Callan, well, he’s a man after my own heart. I loved him from the moment we met his character. I want to say so much more about this book but don’t want to give anything away. It was amazing and definitely goes on the reread list!
I didn't dislike the book, but I also didn't enjoy reading it either.
If I didn't have personal reasons for wanting to finish the book, I would've stopped after reading the second chapter. . . . SPOILERS AHEAD . . . When I first started reading the book, it immediately made me think of your typical teen angst romance story that you usually find on Whattpad. The writing was juvenile and inconsistent with grammar and spelling mistakes. That's not something you would usually expect from an "international bestselling romance" author like Michelle Heard.
The story is very depressing, shallow, repetetive, rushed, and has no clear storyline. The relationship portrayed between the Lillian (MFC) and Callan (MMC) is abusive and unhealthy. Yet they call it love. There are also additional trigger warnings that both Michelle and Tayla failed to add.
Lillian is depicted as being depressed, sad, and bitter young woman with a very pessimistic outlook on life. She's also a very lonely person with no real friends. She suffers from a form of victim mentality, where she thinks that the whole world is always against her and that nobody loves her. She constantly complains about her so-called friends, her evil family, her job, and how horrible her life is. She keeps going on and on about how she's forgotten by everyone and how nobody is making her their priority. Yet, despite being so unhappy with her life, she waited 3 years before deciding to do something about it. A normal person would've done something sooner. Not this girl. Lillian comes from a rich family of lawyers and feels like a constant outsider around them. After deciding that she didn't want to be a lawyer like them, she went and studied art (which her parents paid for) and tried to become an artist.
Callan is a rich, charming, and handsome "Jensen Ackles" lookalike. He loves his family and friends dearly and is very protective of them. But he is also overly possessive, demanding, and a complete control freak when it comes to the people he "loves." Lillian isn't allowed to do anything before telling him first, and she's not allowed to have any male friends. Or any friends for that matter. He isn't scared to use his dominance, money, and power to get what he wants from Lillian and others. And it becomes a little unsettling and disturbing as the story progresses. Callan started an escort service called "The Perfect Gentleman" with his best friend 10 years ago, and the company has been successful ever since. But after suffering the terrible loss of his best friend, he's been struggling with unresolved trauma, PTSD and anxiety for the past 6 years. Due to this, he hasn't yet found a woman he could trust and actually connect with. Until he saw Lillian at Starbucks one morning. From that moment, Lillian has become his obsession.
Even though I tried, I couldn't bring myself to connect with the characters or to feel sorry for what happened to Lillian and Callan. For me, Lillian was just desperate and pathetic. And Callan was an instant red flag.
But, even though this book wasn't my cup of tea, it did have one or two sweet and heartwarming moments. Both Lillian and Callan are two broken and damaged individuals who find each other by chance. Though both of them have some serious personal issues that need to be dealt with, they fit perfectly together and make each other whole again. And at least they both find happiness in the end.
But "Unforgettable" can stay forgettable, in my opinion.
10/18: A nice story, but the author has given us way better!!
10/19: ok, ok. I had to come back and re-review this story! Was it a typical Michelle Heard, no. But was it still a beast of a story, yes? This wasn’t a solo project for Michelle and I had to take that into consideration! This is a really good story and Lillian’s situation and character just pulled at my heart strings. I don’t think I’ve ever felt real emotions like this for a fictional character before…this was definitely well thought out and well written. I’m bumping this up to 4 stars. This was a good one.
Wow i didn't expect this to be so good i finished it in one sitting i loved it. The story was so emotional and made me cry several times, i felt relatable to lillian and her loneliness so much.
Callan and his lilly took my heart ❤️
_Quotes_ "I just want to be seen. I just want to feel special. Just once."
An emotional contemporary read from Michelle Heard and Tayla Louise as Lillian, tired of being made to feel inconsequential by everyone in her life, requests a date from The Perfect Gentleman escort agency to act as her plus one at a friend’s party. She didn’t think she’d get the owner of the agency Callan Wright but something about her application touched his heart as he remembered the lonely woman, he’d bumped into in the coffee shop.
The character of Lillian nearly broke my heart. She’s such a tragic person, invisible in a city of millions. Her family, every member who is despicable, exclude her from any gatherings apparently because she didn’t toe the line and study law. With her so-called friends it seems to be a case of ‘out of sight, out of mind’ even though she repeatedly reaches out to them. Even the barista in Starbucks can’t ever get her name right. I just wanted to grab her and say I’ll be your friend. What starts as a business arrangement with Callan soon has him wanting to date her for real as gets to know her. He’s the first person to call her Lily and be interested in her and I cheered as he gave her the confidence to follow her dreams until revelations nearly break her. It’s not a smooth path for them by any means but the growth in her character made the journey worthwhile. While completely different from what I’m used to reading from Michelle Heard, I loved this book, Lily. you are unforgettable.
The beginning was so freaking sad. I felt so bad for Lilian. Her life was way too lonely and I wonder how did she bear the burden alone for so long until Callan came around. I couldn't stand any of the side characters, her parents especially made my blood boil. Callan on the other hand, was the person she needed the most. Sometimes he said and did things that meant the world to Lilian without even realising it. Everything was going on great until the misunderstanding, which I felt was really unnecessary. Lilian was so vulnerable and if anything went wrong, she immediately thought there's something wrong with her, I just wanted to protect her from all the ridiculous people in her life. Her pain was well expressed and I cried sometimes after reading her pov. Callan on the other hand was a good person but I could not really connect with him because his character lacked depth. But I loved Lilian and thought she deserved the world and Callan definitely gave that to her. I thought the ending was a bit rushed but still I enjoyed reading this book. Overall, it was a solid 3.5 star read.
I loved Lily and Callan’s story! This is a new author collaboration and the results were phenomenally entertaining…
Lily was stuck in a life where she felt forgotten by everyone around her. Her family, friends, work. She doubted everything now, including herself. When so much seems against you it is easy to place the entire blame on yourself but, if you’re lucky, you find someone who recognizes your true worth. Callan had baggage of his own but that didn’t stop him from being highly successful career-wise. A discreet, high-end escort service rules may say ‘hands off’ but they don’t mention anything about one’s heart…
The heart and emotion displayed by all the characters made this a one-sitting read I can’t wait to read again. Lily was a sympathetic character, what she put up with for so long was heartbreaking. How Callan saw her for who she was, putting her first, was exactly what both of them deserved as the feelings – and actions – went both ways. Of course there were bumps to overcome, some little, some bigger, so you know their happily ever after was well-earned. I hope there is more from this author pairing!
