Rebecca Sharp always loved a good love story. Let's face it, when you include a romance novel on your 8th grade summer reading list just to see if the teacher would notice (she didn't!), she was bound to give writing one of her own a go. There's really no corner of romance that she doesn't (or wouldn't) enjoy writing, except maybe aliens, much to her husband's dismay, so her large catalog features a little something for everyone. However, her love of shows like NCIS and Criminal Minds makes her favorite stories to write the ones with some kind of suspense and crime solving.

When she's not writing, she's at her office treating patients, and somewhere between those two things, you'll find her wandering the globe with her husband always searching for their next adventure.

Casanova Dante finally found the perfect woman to wrangle his heart!

Dante has always been a favorite of mine, the big Italian with the sweet tooth of a child is hard to resist, but when he sees a woman walking alone along a busy highway looking lost and afraid she is the one person that can resist his charms...at first anyway.

Lennon Love Clarke aka Lennie needs to lay low for a while, she's hiding from a stalker and she can't remember who he is. So she enlists the help of Covington Security and wouldn't you know the person she doesn't want as her bodyguard is the person Ace assigns to her.

Lennie and Dante have great chemistry right from the beginning even if she does fight it. I love watching these Alpha Men fall for the perfect person and Lennie, the Queen of Dragons, is the only person that could claim this Casanova's heart.

If you enjoy Romantic Suspense, Bodyguard/Client Relationships, or are just looking for a good steamy read I would recommend this book to you.

Happy Reading!!!

M/F Romance
Triggers: Stalking
I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

Dante is a guy who gets what he wants. He loves his family, loves his job and loves women. When he spots a woman walking along a very dangerous stretch of highway, he knows that he needs to make sure she's OK. After all, he wouldn't want his sister's left alone like this woman. But, when he tries to help her, she wants absolutely nothing to do with him. His powers of persuasion have failed him at a crucial moment!

Lenni knows that she's in trouble, but knowing in her heart and knowing in her head are two very different things. I loved Lenni's personality. She's sweet, without being a complete doormat. And I absolutely loved her relationship with Skye. They had a bond that was so tight, a friendship that spanned Lenni's dangerous situation. Despite having some issues with her memory, Skye knows that Lenni was scared before her surgery and just because there are some questions about what she remembers now, doesn't mean her best friend isn't going to believe her.

With danger around the next corner, Dante can't help his attraction to his new assignment. Lenni knows that she lives in a world that not many want. No privacy, rumors galore and when we fall from grace, you fall hard.

These two have an attraction that is combustible. They dance around their own issues, issues they have together and the danger that surrounds Lenni, all while trying to deny themselves and their hearts.

I really enjoyed this story. The Backstreet Boys part made it hilarious at times and I think that Lenni was very down to earth.

I can't wait to see the next story because these are fun, flirty books that will make you swoon.

Oh I absolutely loved these two. I knew Dante would make me melt with his broody possessiveness and Lenni with her strong and fiesty personality.

I was gripped to this emotional rollercoaster, consumed from cover to cover, the chemistry from these two was palpable throughout and I absolutely loved every single page, I couldn't put it down.

Again Rebecca has made me fall in love with another one of the broodish security team.

100% recommended,  every book Rebecca writes blows me away and this was no different.

What an awesome tale that we absolutely loved, and we loved each and every character, and Lenni and Dex's story turned out to be one of my favorite couple in this ongoing series to date.

We loved Lenni from the moment we met her. She was not your typical Hollywood star, and we loved that about her, she was anything but. We found her to be a little lost and broken and due to her ongoing troubles that was understandable but, overall she had an amazing personality, and we found her to be funny, and she made us laugh all the time.

Dex aka Casanova fell hard and fast, and his actions never coincided with his denials. Dex was really all over the place with his emotions you felt whipped lashed at times but, it was almost comical but, from the moment he met Lenni this Casanova was done and cooked.

Overall we just loved the story from cover to cover as it had a ton of romance, a bit of mystery and danger, love, a great cast of characters, a ton of hot and sexy scenes and boy were they hot but, most of all we just loved it! Oh, boy did this story make us laugh out loud time and time again with such serious goings-on, it was a plus in our book.

This author is one of my favorites and I highly recommend her books they are fabulous and if you haven't read her works, yet you are missing out.

An intense, provocative and captivating read from this author. These Covington Security men are certainly fierce and dedicated....none more so than the Casanova Dante. Never short of female company, this man certainly knows how to charm a lady.... whether it be on a date or looking out for one of his five sisters......but even he isn’t prepared for the mysterious actress Lennon.

Life for Lennon is on the up....after securing the lead role on a hugely popular fantasy tv show her life is just perfectly poised.......until it isn’t! Until it all comes crashing down and she has no way of knowing how to fix it.... petrified she turns to Ace and his team.

Mystery, pain, heartache and intensity are what follow as the Covington Men race to try and unpick Lenni’s life all while Dante keeps her safe and protects her from an unknown harm.
Little does he know that it’s himself he should be protecting as the beautiful, caring actress gradually bribes her way into his heart and completely bewitches him!

I am so looking forward to Dex and Jo next.....

The way this one kept me on the edge of my seat!! I loved Dante and his flirty, Backstreet Boys-loving protectiveness. I was so intrigued by Lenni’s story and what happened. The two of them are fire and definitely fought hard to get their happily ever after–both against bad guys and against their own worries. Loved this one!

The story would be ok, if the Inspiration wasn't this obvious. It felt wrong to me, like real person fanfiction. If you are ok with RPF, it is an ok book. But I felt uncomfortable. Like I was one of the very same paparazzi and press the book is judging.

Universal

Dante is the playboy of Covington Security. Then he sees a woman walking on the side of the road, and his previously closed to business heart is making him believe in love and relationships. Too bad she seems to be the one woman who wants nothing to do with him - personally or professionally. Too bad for her that he's been assigned to her case by his boss. Lennie better brace herself, because this Backstreet Boys loving alpha is coming for her heart.

Lennon needs help, protection from someone she can't remember. She doesn't want the big playboy with the charming grin and the big muscles to be her bodyguard, but when he's assigned to her case, well, she just might end up being grateful he's the one protecting her, because their attraction isn't the only thing between them. If Covington can just figure out who is bothering her, and take care of the problem, it will lead the way for Dante and Lennie to complete the journey they started.

Bribed is the perfect romantic suspense. The relationship between Lennie and Dante starts of reluctantly on her part, but she can't deny her emotional and physical response to the big Casanova. I love how sweet and possessive he is as he falls, hard, for her, and the suspense portion blends perfectly, but never overwhelms, the romance.

I am loving this series. I love being in Carmel Cove, whether it be spending time with either the Covington Security guys or with the residents of this gorgeous town. It is such a beautiful setting and I have grown extremely fond of all those who live there, and now the added thrill of seeing the Covington team at work makes me never want to leave.

Bribed is Dante’s story and to be honest it was full of surprises. I loved getting to know Dante. He’s hot, caring, thoughtful and conscientious. As the team’s resident Casanova, he has committed himself to a life without love - even though many would do anything to be the one to find the way to his heart.

I enjoyed reading Lenni’s journey throughout the book. She’s a famous actress who for the past couple of years has gone through some of the most terrifying times. I understood her reasons for the decisions that she made, even though I wished for her to be honest and open.

There are some incredible scenes involving Lenni and Dante. Some are humourous, some are intense, and their sexual chemistry is off the charts! I loved that the author kept me waiting to discover all the details regarding Lenni. My mind was working overtime trying to suss the reasons for her actions and why she needed help from Ace and the team. Just when I thought I had it all worked out….. plot twist! Which I absolutely loved!!

The final couple of chapters brought mixed emotions. On the one hand I was thrilled and on the other devastated at the decision that had been made and what this meant. I can’t deny that the epilogue closes this story perfectly, and it also gives us insight as to what to expect in Beguiled when it releases. This is the next book in this series – which I cannot wait to read.

Bribed is a must-read story. The second half of the book was thrilling - the closing scenes being especially unputdownable. I loved how this case affected the Covington security men in different ways, even though there were times when my heart ached for how they were feeling. I award this story 4.5 stars, and I look forward to discovering the reasons why a certain guy is smiling once again!

As seen on my blog (Jessie's Reading Corner):
Bribed is an excellent addition to the Covington Security series by Rebecca Sharp. While it is the second book in the series, I do think it can be read as a standalone though you do get to see glimpses of our hero, Dante, in Betrayed. Dante is Covington’s personal security specialist and just a real big lovable dork. He enjoys his 90s classics (especially the Backstreet Boys) and eating candy like it’s going out of style. He also is 100% committed when it comes to protecting those he loves and those he’s put in charge of. Lenni, our heroine, is a Hollywood actress who comes to Carmel Cove and Covington Security for protection but she’s not sure from who. When Dante and Lenni first meet, she’s wandering around on the busy highway and Dante offers her a ride to wherever she’s going. What follows is a pretty hysterical conversation between the two. I thought this story was really good! I loved the banter between Dante and Lenni and the chemistry between the two was off the charts! (Seriously, I thought Ace had moves but he’s got nothing on Dante!)

While this was a lighter read than Betrayed, the suspense and mystery surrounding Lenni had me holding my breath! I loved the glimpses we got of the other members of Covington Security and I loved the camaraderie/bromance between Dante and Rocco. I fell in love with this series reading Ace’s story and even more after reading Dante’s. I can’t wait to read more about them in future books and see what Rebecca has in store!

If you like steamy romantic suspense and bodyguards, this is the book for you!

5 Star Review Bribed (Covington Security #2) by Rebecca Sharp
I was riveted to this story from the first chapter although I there were times that I was on the edge of my seat for what might happen. This is Lennon (Lenni) Love Clark and Dante Lozano ‘s story and what a story it was, set in Carmel Cove.
Leni is in hiding, she has a stalker and has lived some terrifying moments that were nail biting to say the least. Dante is a member of Covington Security and has the reputation as a ladies man. However he certainly knows his job, if only Lenni would let him do the job he was hired to do.
However the intense attraction that these two have constantly comes to the surface and boundaries are pushed to breaking point. Lenni doesn’t know who to trust but as the threats intensify she will have no choice but to put her trust in Dante. I fell and fast for swoon worthy Italian Dante. There was so much more to him that meets the eye and it was entertaining as his layers were peeled back.
There were some twists and turns that I didn’t see coming and the epilogue was certainly fitting.

Flip! Dante Lozano is HOT!!

”There was something about her that flipped off my cool and collected switch and turned on something else – something more primal and uncontrollable.”

Dante is the well-known, carefree Casanova of Covington Security. Not only is he a lover of women, but he’s a hardcore Backstreet Boys fan and he thinks that snacks are a main food group of their own! He has his reasons for never committing to only one woman, but when he meets Lennon Love Clarke, she might be a game-changer.

”That was what I loved most about him – that he made me feel alive. Every hair. Every cell. Every drop of blood and every beat of my heart. He gave it all a life I’d never had before.”

Lenni is in hiding, but she can’t remember from whom. She needs peace and anonymity to recover, but she also needs security. When she realises that her bodyguard will be the gorgeous, flirty guy who saved her from being run over, earlier that morning, she baulks at the prospect. Not because she doesn’t like him, but because of the way he looks at her – like she’s unbroken and whole.

”I would rather live a thousand lives knowing I’d love you and lose you in each and every one, than live a single life never having had you at all.”

This was a scorching, intense and heart-melting romance! I absolutely adored it! Dante was all kinds of alpha – possessive, fiercely protective with a swoonworthy softer, caring side. Always the fun-loving one of the Covingston Security crew, he had some many sides to his character that made him someone so worthy of love and happiness. Lenni was tough – she’d been through so much. She was also stubborn but when she let herself go, she was more than a match for Dante. The two of them together were FIRE!! The build-up between them was incredibly tense and electric – you could cut the tension between them with a knife – all of which added to the suspense element of the story. Such a fabulous read!

I really enjoyed this book! I have not read any other books by this author yet but I guarantee I will be nosing through Amazon and doing some one-clicking, especially on book one – Betrayed, to catch up on what I’ve missed. Though I will say this book can easily be read as a standalone and still make sense.

Bribed was an intense, suspenseful, emotional journey for Lenni and Dante from the start. They had a fiery chemistry that was hard to be denied. From their interesting introduction, Lenni was drawn to Dante for his large presence and feeling of safety, along with a major spark of attraction and Dante was definitely intrigued by her circumstances, vulnerability, and beauty.

Lenni had a hard journey, especially having no memory of important, life and death details to share with Covington in order for them to protect her. She also had her reasons for keeping secrets and though I really wanted to shake some sense into her several times, I did understand her hesitance to trust and fully depend on others. I was glad to see when circumstances got really bad, she did do what was right for her. I loved Dante’s persona; he was larger than life, sweet, caring, and all alpha. Also dubbed the resident Casanova by his team but as drawn to their newest client as he was, he was determined not to form any kind of permanent attachment or fall in love. And he waged a major war with himself and Lenni in the process of his downfall. There was some major push/pull drama between the two with lots of serious moments, some sweet and tender moments, laughs, danger, and angst. It was an intense read from start to finish. It was fun to get to know these characters and I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.

Oh my me how I am loving this new spin-off series by Dr. Sharp!

The absolute alphaness of the crew from Covington Security shines through the pages of this newest story.

I was such a fan of Dante and now to get his story was perfect! As he is called, the Carmel Cove Casanova, I love his humor, his love of family, and his need to protect.

Lenni is such a beautiful soul, I grieved for her when her story came to light, to see what truly happened to her and her struggles to become better.

I enjoyed the way that Dr. Sharp played out both Lenni and Dante's backstories. To see why they react and behave the way they do now.

The smexy times in this story are going to absolutely make you grab your proverbial pearls and make you melt! Be prepared!

It's lovely to see past characters make appearances and just add more to this story and makes the world that Dr. Sharp created in Carmel Cove more believable, I so want to live there!

I cannot wait for the next story in this epic series!

Okay have to say this was by far the most funniest and aww feeling in this book of Lenni and Dante. One thing for sure loved the whole music scene Dr. Rebecca Sharp brought in this book considering this review is a huge Backstreet Boys fan. I mean for anyone to say they're like N'Sync is just harsh and seeing Dante singing their songs in this book and Lenni not falling for him right away was brutal lol. I loved seeing that even though she is famous Lenni just wants to be normal and have a life of her own. Now Dante may seem the jokester in the Covington Security business but here is a man with some secrets of his own. Together these two are perfect for one has secrets that might kill and the other is afraid to really feel and love. Dr. Rebecca Sharp and these security men are a winner and cannot wait to see what she does with Rocco and Dex. Loved it.

Bribed is a Fantastic edition to the Covington Security series of books, this is Dante and Leni's story and I was transfixed from the start.
Leni is an actress but for a famous woman she is down to earth she needs protection and Dante is just that guy.
I Love Dante he is such an Alpha and a typical protector but also funny and sexy, when these two meet the attraction is clear.
Falling for your protector was not in Leni's plan, but these two are an ideal match for one another.
But there are secrets that both are keeping....and you wonder what will happen once they are revealed.
As always Rebecca Sharp's words leave me mesmerized with her spellbinding storylines that keep you turning the pages.Leni and Dante's story is no different with Romance, suspense, humour, steam and an abundance of chemistry Bribed is a rollercoaster of a book and I Loved it.
I am excited for more.
I Highly recommend it.

Absolutely loved!!

This book had everything; steam, laugh out loud moments, tears, angst, suspense, love, just everything to draw you in and not let go. Dante was hilariously adorable with his Backstreet Boys obsession and his flirty ways but how protective he was with Lenni from the beginning was the start of something amazing. They balanced one another. She is strong and a fighter to have survived all she had and now she had to outsmart a stalker on top of it with the help of Covington security. Only wished that even after everything on the table she wouldn’t have always considered herself broken and always fell back on that when she didn’t get what she wanted from Dante. She might need therapy after everything she had been through. Dante too for his survival and loss back on the force. But they were almost like therapy to one another. Can’t wait for dex and rocs stories!!

I loved this book so much! I didn’t see the twist coming at all, it completely caught me off guard. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, the story took a sharp turn, and I had to stop for a second just to take it all in.

Lennon and Dante? I adored them both. Lennon is strong, determined, and brave, which made me root for her even more. And Dante, he’s intense, a cassanova, but the way he softens for Lennon? Perfection! Their chemistry was off the charts, and every scene between them had me hooked. The tension, the push and pull, the way their connection deepened, it was everything.

And then that moment. The twist. I never saw it coming, and it made the whole story even more gripping. It’s one of those books that stays with you because even after finishing, I kept thinking about how all the little details fit together in the end.

I wish I could read it again for the first time because wow, what a ride!

No 'Bribe' (pun totally intended) necessary, as I devoured and loved every minute of this story.

When the MMC is driving and belting out a Backstreet Boys solo on the first page if you are like me you are hook, line, and sinker.
Covington's Casanova Dante gets his story and oh boy what a story it was. He is humorous, sexy, sweet, alpha, protective, and oh so swoon-worthy.
When he meets the beautiful Lenni, his next security job, she sets his feelings on fire. However due to personal reasons and in order to protect his and the hearts of others he has committed himself to a life without love.

Dante and Lenni's journey put my emotions through the wringer.
The suspense and action had me on the edge of my seat, the chemistry between them heated up my Kindle, and there backstories ached my heart.
The banter and antics had me laughing out loud, the sweet moments they shared had me swooning, the twists and turns had me gasping, and I can't deny that at times the secrets and the push and pull between these two had me oh so frustrated.
The ending.... had my heart a little happy and a little sad but then the Epilogue had me smiling, intrigued and soooo ready for the next book, Beguiled.

Trust Me You Need These Covington Men!
A Highly Recommended Read!

It's amusing the obsession and how much of a fan Dante is of the Backstreet Boys. He normally has an easy going demeanor but it's cool to read how he looses it when it comes to protecting Lenni. Even if it is from other men's wandering eyes. He goes all caveman and it's surprising even for himself. He is very perceptive. And the way the story goes it feels like a clock is ticking on Lenni. But she is a fighter. Nothing can defeat her. And that is exactly why she makes a difference. Why she can stand out from any other woman in this Casanova's path. This story has action, BIG consuming hot action in the sheets, entertainment and of course, great characters.

I loved this book! It was very emotional but still filled with so much humor. It seems that the author might have been inspired by the real life drama of actress, Emilia Clarke of Game of Thrones. I loved the connection between the main characters and I’m glad I read this book.

I have to say I am a huge lover of everything Dante! His over the top personality had me laughing out loud, his love of pop just sealed the deal though even if he loves the wrong boy band!

In all seriousness Bribed was a little more light hearted than book one but still jam packed with broody alpha moments and enough heat to melt the pages as you read (cold shower, yes very much needed)!

Dante and Leni had some intense back and forths and I loved that because Leni had some self doubts but she was so strong when she needed to be and that assertiveness really had me falling for her character! Dante it was love at first note (and in order to get this you have to read this book)!

If you’ve been a reader of Sharps you will see some familiar faces around Carmel Cove and if you’re a newbie no worries you don’t need to read any previous books to enjoy this one but hopefully you’ll love the town and characters so much that you’ll grab some of her other books!

One of my favorites that this author has written. I loved the twists and turns and mystery in this story. Fantastic characters, plausible story, and some of the hottest steamy times that I have read. Slow read

This book dragged on endlessly to me for the first 75% I wanted to quit several times but I legitimately liked Lenni and Dante so I powered on. The book wasn't as predictable as i thought it was going to be.
My biggest complaint was the fact that poor Gwen seemed to be the only nurse working at the Carmel Hospital. It reads like it is a small clinic type place then a little while later they are rushing a gunshot victim to the OR and the poor ER nurse had to scrub in for surgery. Also the writer seems to use nurse and nurse practitioner interchangeably and they aren't the same thing!! Definitely need to find something else to read before I try anything else from this writer.
