BREE

After leaving a toxic ex, I’ve returned to the small town of Ivy River to reconnect with my father. never expected a handsome, broody man with eyes like embers, to be living above his garage.

Will Stone is completely off limits. Not just because he’s my dad’s employee, but because I have plans to restart my life. Plans that don’t include a relationship.

We flirt; the attraction between us is undeniable. One of us will break soon and I’m afraid it will be me.

WILL

My boss’s daughter will be my downfall.

Paul is more than a boss; he’s the father figure I wish I had. Lusting after his daughter is a slap in the face.

Still, Bree’s bringing out emotions I’ve stuffed down deep. I’m punching guys in bars, I’m volunteering to watch a litter of puppies, and I’m falling harder every day.

She’s changing me.

She’s dividing my loyalty.

She’s consuming all of me.

Yes, I did reread my own book for giggles. And if you don't give yourself five stars, how can you expect others to do that as well?

As of date of publication of this review (season 6, episode 7) of The Handmaid's Tale, I wanted to read the book I wrote that was inspired by the Nick and June romance. While there's heavy emphasis on "inspired," it felt good revisit a book I worked so hard on. Will is one of my favorite heroes I've written because he has the essence of Nick Blaine and is almost as frustrating.

While I chose not to continue the series, I do think it's a great read and worth any small town romance fan's time. I hope you love Bree and Will as much as I do.

This was a very emotional book for me and I really enjoyed reading it.

Bree returns to her hometown to visit her father, after ending a very toxic relationship with her boyfriend.

At the beginning, she was still quite affected from all the times her boyfriend treated her badly and she didn't want to share with her father. The attraction she felt towards Will was instant, but there were things stopping her from trying to be with a new man. Will, on the other hand, also liked her from the first moment he met her, but he doesn't want to do anything, because she is his boss's daughter. After a while, they can't hide their feelings anymore and finally get together.

They were really good for each other in all aspects. She sees in him a better man and a person that she can fall in love with. In her he sees his soulmate, but is still a little afraid  to let go.

I loved the love scenes. There was plenty of smut, love and heat and I was there for it ♥️♥️♥️.

There was a little bit of drama towards the end of the story, but everything finished beautifully.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading Bree and Will's story.

•Forbidden romance
•Forced proximity
•Small town charm with plenty of side characters for future romances

All of Me was a great first novel in Jenny Bunting’s latest small town romance series, Ivy River. Will & Bree had great chemistry and their romance was so easy to fly through. Jenny writes small town romances so well & she has me invested in all the future books in the series. Definitely pick this one up if you want to fall in love with a charming small town!

Ahhhh! I didn’t want this book to end!!! It started off amazing and ended perfectly. Jenny is a new author to me and I can NOT wait to read the rest of this series!!

Bree shows up on her father’s door step after being gone for 10 years. With a letter in hand she is so excited to get to know her father again. Upon arrival she meets the guy who lives in the apartment over the garage, Will. Both instantly attracted but have a past that prevents them to do anything about it.

Bree just left her narcissistic boyfriend of 4 years and is also getting over the loss of her mom. Will lost his brother tragically and has no relationship with his alcoholic parents. He has never had a relationship due to seeing his non-existent marriage between his parents. He’s also living next to his boss, Bree’s dad.

After being gone for 10 years, you will find out why for so long, she tries to figure out who she is. She is waiting for the tenant’s that live in her late mother’s home to move out so she can move it and she’s planning on going back to school in the Fall. Her time in town is spent finding out what makes her happy, meeting up with her old bestie from childhood, working at a yoga shop, raising puppies, connecting with her dad again and also trying not to fall for the hot guy above the garage.

Side Note: I’m from the Bay Area and this book had so many references with the area that I truly felt like I was a side character. LOVED all the Taylor Swift references & also the shoutouts to the SF Giants & Niners!

Before I begin, I would like to thank Valentine PR and Jenny Bunting for sending me an arc of All of Me in exchange for a fair and honest review.

When I read the synopsis of this book, and saw the tropes involved, I knew I had to read it.
Unfortunately, I just didn't get that spark.
Did it trigger emotions? Sure.
Did it make me smile? At times.
Was there a plot? There was.
Despite not feeling the spark, I was interested enough to keep going, to find out what happened in the end. The story itself is sweet.
Who doesn't love a forbidden romance?
I just think some things needed to be tweaked - specifically the romance and some word usage that bothered me.
Now, I make no secret that I don't like the love at first sight trope. I find it's a lazy way to bring two characters together. I've read books where it's done right, and other's that it isn't, and I am just not feeling like it was executed here the way it could of been.
Yes, two characters, just like people, can feel an immediate connection with one another. An attraction.
But these two fall in love with one another rather quickly, considering they barely spend any time together. It's implied that there are times they have spent time together off-page ... but how is the reader supposed to believe the romance between these two when we don't get enough moments of them together? How am I supposed to believe that Will loves all these different traits of Bree's, when I don't have enough information to do that?
I want substance to go along with the words.
Some of the words used in this book stood out to me, and took me out of the story.
There were things I liked, or course.
I liked her friendship with Sienna. I liked his friendships with Logan and JR.
I liked her reconnecting with her father.
I enjoyed the author's take on Bree's healing journey from her abusive ex, and highlighting the different types of abuse he inflicted. While I had a lot of trouble connecting with these characters, I did connect with Bree on something she does after the break up as an act of rebellion against her ex, because I did the exact same thing.

All of Me wasn't a hit for me. I couldn't connect with the characters, and despite liking the story, the writing style is just not for me. It may be a good read for you though, so if the synopsis intrigues you, it's out today!

Bree shows up as a surprise to her dad’s house in Ivy River after leaving a toxic boyfriend. However when she shows up, she sees there’s a man that her dad has grown close to like a son. She tries to figure out their dynamic and how the man - Will started living in the apartment over the garage.

While trying to reconnect more with her dad, Paul, and learn about Will, she’s still dealing with things she purposely freed from. While trying to deal with her toxic ex, Bree and Will start to fall for each other. They fell so quick, but both stated that they are just friends. As time went on, they couldn’t stay just friends. They started sneaking around Bree’s dad to see each other. As both of them started falling in love with each other, neither of them took the step to stay together - until Will knew he had no other choice but to.

There is so much emotion in this story, along with love and some spice. All the dogs made this story even more cute and warm. I fell in love with Will and Bree. The authors writing style was amazing and easy to read. I’m excited to read more from her.

Thank you Valentine PR and Jenny Bunting for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Welp Jenny Bunting has done what few authors have done before and made tears form in my eyes.

This book had the perfect amount of slow burn with ALL THE FEELS that made it hard to put this book down. It would be a lie to say I only read it once this week…

Watching Bree deal with leaving her toxic ex by finding herself again and reconnecting with her father. Gold. But reading about Will not only supporting her but helping her reconnect with her father but then also fighting their chemistry… swoony gold (tm😂😂)

I want to tell you every little detail…but it's better if you just go read it. Sooooooo just go add it to your Tbr and read it this weekend 😏

DNF @ 70% | I really enjoyed the first ~50% of this but once they confess their feelings, it just got boring. They both know they want the other but they just don't do anything about it because of her dad. Almost fell asleep towards the end.

What a beautiful story!

Bree returns to Ivy River after a long absence after fleeing an abusive relationship. She discovers Will, her father's employee, living in the apartment above get father's garage. Sparks fly for both of them but they continue to deny their connection. Love the Boomer/Honey subplot. Was hoping for more info about Sienna and Logan but guess their story will be a future book. Highly recommend!!

Bree goes home to her father for a visit. She's escaping a toxic ex who's kept her down for far too long.

Bree is a sweetheart and a free spirit. She's a little bit different, but that's what we like about her. She's definitely sunshine all wrapped up.

The town was small and cute. I just love sweet small towns. Her father is pretty well known and has taken a coworker under his wing, Will. Will loves and respects Bree's dad like a father. And the feelings mutual. What's Bree to do when she's returned? How long is this visit going to last?

Will has been a little lost. Brees dad has been an anchor for him when he's never had one. What's Will to do when he's attracted to Bree but respects her dad so, so much?

I love growth stories, and these two came out different people than when they started. Hope to get back to Ivy River soon!

This is my first Jenny Bunting story and it definately won't be my last.
I loved reading this book and her heartfelt writing....ALL oF Me is such a lovely romance between two people who are just meant to be.
Bree needs to start a new life after coming out of a bad emotionally abusive relationship, which turned her into a person she didn't recognise. She had spend 4 years being controlled and manipulated by a man who would demean her and strip her of her confidence.
After finding a letter from her father she decideds to go home to the place she would spend the summer as a young girl....and try to reconnect with her father after not seeing him for 10 years.
To her surprise the first person she encounters is Will,a man who works with her father and is living above the garage were her dad lives.
They banter and find eachother attractive but its too soon to even think about another man for Bree plus her dad was Will's boss so there will be no going there.
Will owed everything to Bree's father Paul and so finding his daughter gorgeous and sexy is totally inappropriate...He must stay away from her.
Bree and Will both have issues with their pasts that they need to reconcile and put behind them brfore they can make a future.
A friendship between them blossoms...that soon develops into something more..and so they begin a secret relationship.
I felt so bad for Will he was so conflicted with his loyalty for Paul (Bree's dad) because Paul was like a father to him..and his feelings for Bree.He didn't feel good enough for Bree and he had to change his way of thinking and learn his worth.
Bree also has so much healing, learning and rediscovering to do after being trapped for years..she also had to find her worth and find herself again.
I loved this story it was so emotional an very sweet..I adored these characters and the side characters also whose books I will look forward too.
I really enjoyed Jenny's writing style and how easily it was to be captivated with the characters and the story. This is such a great introduction to this brand new series and I am excited for more...Ivy River is looking like a small town that I would love to escape to.
Magnificent book.

Jenny Bunting knows how to write a small town romance so well and the start of her new series is just proof. She has found her sweet spot and it works!! This new town and these new characters already make me so happy and so excited for what’s to come!! This was a perfect introduction, with little Easter eggs of future couples?! I loved Bree and Will’s forbidden, but still so sweet romance!

First and foremost, I LOVED ALL THE DOG CONTENT. I know Jenny has such a soft spot for German Shepards and I loved Boomer so much!! And the puppies!! And their pastry related names!! And Honey! It fed my puppy loving heart 🥹

Will and Bree *sigh*. I loved them! I loved watching them fight their feelings because they knew the timing was bad and it wasn’t ever going to work and this that and the other thing. BUT they also knew they couldn’t stay away - literally and figuratively! They were able sneak around, have fun, be free, and be themselves together and it was so so sweet.

I also loved that Bree and her dad were able to reconnect. Things were hard, and she didn’t have the whole story. But he loved her so much, and loved that she just showed up out of the blue. And I love that Will and Paul had such a strong bond too! It sometimes made things more complicated, they all wanted the best for each other.

Will was rough around the edges but he spent so much of his life being told he wasn’t good enough, and even with therapy and working through that, it doesn’t just go away. And then in comes Bree, who’s just passing through on her way to a better life, how could he ever be good enough?? I loved that Paul continually told him that he WAS good enough, that he was a good man, that he loved him. It was exactly what Will needed.

The epilogue was so sweet!! If I’m right and I read some of the clues correctly, I am so excited about who is next! AND the other potential couple has me VERY interested and excited for their story!

Thank you so much to Jenny Bunting for this ARC in exchange for an honest review! As always, I’m so happy to be here 🫶🏻

This small-town romance gives you all the feels. Will is the kind of man you want to bring home to meet your parents. He is a forever kind of guy though he comes with baggage that makes him believe he’s not good enough for love to ever be a part of his life. He meets his boss’s daughter out of the blue on the front steps of her house, where he resides in the room up top of the garage. Bree shows up 10 years later on the front steps of her father’s house with plans to stay for the summer. What she doesn’t expect is to meet a handsome someone who is her father’s employee and someone who seems to have a better relationship with her father than her. As they are forced to each other’s company, they come to find that their attraction for each other isn’t as easy to hide. Afterall, Bree is the big boss’s daughter. In this novel, the romance is true slow-burn. So much so that you anticipate and cherish every interaction they have. Although, sometimes you might want to knock some sense into Will a few times. This small town is filled with great friends and residents that you can’t help but want to insert yourself in. I also thought some of the best moments – besides those between Will and Bree, were of Will and her father, Paul. Will did not have a great father growing up and Paul was everything a father figure could be to him. He respects him and Paul is always there reassuring and supporting Will in ways that he never experienced or received form his own father. Both Will and Bree struggle to not let their past define them, but without knowing so, they slowly build each other up to be the best person they can be. And it is precious. This is my first novel from Jenny Bunting and will be looking forward to more. Especially Logan and JR’s story. 😊

Title: All Of Me (Ivy River #1)
Author: Jenny Bunting
Hero/Heroine: Will & Bree
Tropes: Small Town, Forbidden, Broody Hero x Sunshine Heroine, Age Gap, Slow Burn, Forced Proximity

tw/cw: death of a parent, death of a sibling, toxic parental relationship, mention of emotionally abusive relationship, mention of serious illness (ALS),

✨the good ✨

When Jenny Bunting kept hinting that this story would pack an emotional punch, she wasn’t lying. Will and Bree were an incredible pairing who had experienced their fair share of tragedy, and I loved witnessing their ever growing friendship/relationship.

When Bree finds a letter from her estranged father, she ups sticks and travels to Ivy River to spend the summer with him. Upon arriving there, she meets Will, or Wonderful Will as I’ve nicknamed him. They’re immediately attracted to each other, however Will is reluctant to start anything out of respect for his friend, who just happens to be Bree’s dad. Awks.

I loved the emotional growth that both Will and Bree went through in this story. The fact that Bree finally had the guts to walk away from a toxic situation and realised her self worth was one of my favourite parts of the story (there were many). The slow burn added to the tension between Will and Bree and, not gonna lie, there were times when I wanted to slap Will and tell him to pull his head out of his arse. Still loved him though. I also adored both of their relationships with Bree’s father, especially Will’s, he had so much respect for him and it really elevated his character in my opinion.

Yet again, Jenny Bunting offers a realistic and heartwarming story with characters you can’t help adore. All I’m gonna say is give me Logan and Sienna’s story, I’m ready for it.

✨ the bad ✨

Scott. What an almighty twat.

✨overall thoughts: adored every bit of it

This was a sweet and steamy small town romance.
Bree turns up at her dad's after 10 years, this is where she meets Will. Will works for her dad and lives next door kind of thing.
Poor Bree, has managed to escape a narcissistic ex. She has sworn off men, but that didn't last long when she saw Will.
Will was breathless after seeing Bree. But soon as he found out who her dad is, he took a step back.
These two are always bantering and skirting around their attractions. Both with good excuse.
I loved how cute they were and the laughs when they're around their friends. They always find themselves at the same places. Hmm 🤔.
Until Bree goes on a date and that's all Will needed to snap. Then these two heat up the kindle, a lot!!
Unfortunately Bree will be leaving soon so there is an expiration date. They decide to not tell her dad as it's only for a few weeks.. I loved how they still manage to have some sort of dates. Even if it is with all their friends around them. It's sooo adorable.
Thrn when her dad drops that bombshell. That was fantastic! He is super duper cute. Honestly all the characters were fantastic and such laugh, except a few individuals. Read and find out how their love story unfolds and they get to their HEA.

Favourite Quote:

"Bree feels like a once-in-a-lifetime love. I’ll never move on from her. I could try. I could let her go. But I wouldn’t in my heart, not really."

“You have all of me, Bree. You’ve had it since the second you showed up in Ivy River.”

“Brianne Elise Tanager, I love you with all that I am. You have all of me, my heart, my body, my soul."

I enjoyed this forbidden romance story. It had a lot of layers of depth to it. The author included detailed content and trigger warnings at the beginning of the book, but I will mention a few key details. This is a detailed/explicit open-door romance with strong innuendo and strong harsh language throughout. There are several heavy themes included in the story, most prominent are emotional abuse in both a romantic relationship and a parent-child relationship, death, grief, and alcohol abuse. After a decade away, Bree came to stay with her estranged father after leaving an unhealthy relationship and feeling like “a toddler finger-painting of a person”. There she met Will, one of her father’s employees, and the tenant in her father’s garage apartment. Their attraction was instant, but both of their pasts and the forbidden nature of being involved with Will’s boss’s daughter, were deterrents. The characters were very engaging. I was very invested in the main characters and I also liked the secondary characters. There were some set-ups for potential future stories dropped in and I’d like to read them. There was excellent romantic tension between Will and Bree, and plenty of simmering. There’s even some hand flexing à la Mr. Darcy. (IYKYK) Those kinds of details are more important to me as a reader than the actual scenes of intimacy. I think they are more difficult to successfully craft and guide the reader through the feelings of. Overall, this is a good story and well-written. I liked visiting the town of Ivy River. One of my favourite thoughts from the book was, “‘Just because a life is simple doesn’t make it ordinary.’”

I'm still catching up with all the books I haven't read and couldn't wait to read this. Because, Jenny Bunting has never disappointed me and this beautiful book is the proof.

Bree and Will are just the perfect couple. They have such a beautiful and hopeful story. Will is so loyal, trustworthy and reliable and Bree is such a wonderful soul learning to love and trust again. Both of them in their own pain just want to bring joy to everyone around them. No one really tells you how difficult it is to accept love and to really trust yourself after you've been through trauma, but these two learn together and find the most incredible connection.

I have to give a shout out to dear Paul. He's such a wonderful character and I freaking loved every scene he was in. He deserved this hopeful, happy ending too.

I started reading it in my kindle, but just a few chapters in I freaking knew I needed the paperback ASAP. So many amazing quotes and moments that I needed to highlight and annotate. I loved every character and I can't wait to keep reading about them.

Jenny's writing and storytelling keeps getting better and better and it is my mission to give her books the love they deserve! Five stars to this wonderful book!

Will convinced his boss and landlord, Paul, to write a letter to his daughter, Brianne after he mentioned how much he missed her. They hadn’t talked in ten years. He didn’t know Paul had written or sent the letter until Brianne showed up one day out of the blue.

The attraction between Will and Brianne is evident from the beginning. He tries to ignore his feelings out of respect for Paul. Little did Will and Brianne know but Paul was playing match maker to try and get them together.

Brianne went to Ivy River after she found the letter her boyfriend had hidden. She found it along with a pair of underwear that were hers. It was only supposed to be temporary but life had other plans for her.

All of Me by Jenny Bunting was a book I was able to relate to. I was in an abusive relationship with my kid’s biological father and dealt with the self-doubt like Brianne and Will.

All of the characters were written so well that I wouldn’t care who is the focus of book 2 because I would read any of them. I do kind of hope though that it is Logan and Sienna.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a super cute read. First from the author but won’t be my last!

Bree moves back to her small town to escape her narcissistic ex. There she meets Will, her dad’s employee.

They try to keep their distance but that never works. They slowly start a relationship until in blossoms into love.

They are so cute together and I love the ending. They both truly deserve to be happy.

This is my first novel by Jenny Bunting, and I’m so glad I took a chance reading it because I adored it.
Small towns can heal a wounded soul, and they can tempt the heart with things it shouldn’t want. This is what both Bree and Will find in Ivy River.
Bree’s father took Will under his wing since he moved to town, acting as a father figure, helping Will grow through his troubles.
Bree wants to connect with her Dad after not seeing him for ten years and needing her Dad to help her heal after leaving her abusive ex.
Will and Bree’s chemistry is instant, even though he tries to stay away to let her heal, the lure is undeniable and when they finally relent it’s electric.
So, so sweet, fun, steamy, great character growth, heartfelt and heartwarming with a beautiful HEA. There are some TWs but I found them unnecessary in this instance.
Looking forward to more Ivy River romance.

I received a free copy from Grey’s Promotions and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.

Omg I love this book with my whole heart. Will and Bree were just *chef’s kiss* Perfection. They both healed each other in ways they didn’t know they needed. And I just love how sweet he is towards her and they brought each other back to life. It was the perfect blend of soft and love and angst that just made my heart soo happy and had me devouring this book because I just couldn’t put it down. Seeing Will be so emotionally vulnerable with Bree and giving her all of him was just 🥹🥹🥹 no words can capture the perfection of that scene and it just pulled on my heartstrings. And that ending, it all coming full circle for them and it not being so much of an ending but rather a beginning to their new life. I adore them and the small town vibe that was just comforting in ways I can’t explain and I can’t wait for what’s next in this series.

Bree and Will have stolen my heart in Jenny Bunting’s latest story All of Me.

Bree returns home after an end to a difficult relationship only to be faced with her father’s tantalizing mentee, Will.

I loved the soft forbidden element of their relationship and how they couldn’t help themselves. The magnetic pull between the two MC’s was wonderful and oh so pleasing. The emotional moments and vulnerability shared between the two MC’s found me emotionally investing into both of them and their relationship. It was so sweet, so raw, so honest and the emotional aspects made their H.E.A all the sweeter.

I would love to see a Paul story at some point. I absolutely adored him and his relationship with both Bree and Will.

Thank you to the author for an early copy in exchange for an honest review. I am so very excited to see where this series will go.

ARC Review

Cute small town romance set in a brand new world. Bree is starting over after a bad relationship ended, she’s moved to Ivy River temporarily to reconnect with her estranged father and finds a man living in her dad’s garage apartment. Will is her father’s employee/mentee and the two are attracted to each other but Will thinks they can’t be together.

It’s packed to the brim with Taylor Swift references, lots of content about dogs, and a fun set of side characters.

Heroine has some issues with food after being in a relationship with a controlling man that felt a little triggering to me so be careful if you have food issues/disordered eating.

"Our love story is my favorite…because it’s ours."

Bree and Will's story was a great introduction to a new series. I really enjoyed the Finch family series and was looking forward to reading this one. It was an emotional read, but handled some difficult topics really well. I especially enjoyed Paul's character and how he supported Bree and Will. I also especially loved the dogs in the book and how they helped Will realize his true feelings.

I look forward to reading more in the series and finding out about Logan, Sienna and JR.

This is the first in a new series, and this is Will and Bree’s journey. Bree has left her toxic ex, and returns to Ivy River to connect with her dad, and for a fresh start as well as to heal. Will is broody and handsome, and he works for Bree’s dad and lives above his garage. There is an instant connection between Bree and Will, and the chemistry is undeniable.
This is a well written story which has humor, witty banter, healing, family, friendships, emotions, and love, which leads to an entertaining, sweet, and heartwarming small-town romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

“The tension is delicious and infuriating…” I thought this quote from the book was perfect for this review! The tension and slow burn between Bree and Will was so good - I was rooting for them the entire time. The “mastermind” Taylor Swift reference at the end was pure gold! This is the first book I’ve read by Jenny Bunting and it certainly won’t be the last w- I really love her writing style!

If you love slow burn, small town romances full of Taylor Swift references this is definitely for you! Thank you Jenny Bunting and Grey Promotions for sending me an e-arc of this book! I really enjoyed it!

This book was my first by this author, but it certainly won't be my last!

Will and Bree are two well-developed characters who are both trying to bounce back from failed relationships.

She returns to her hometown to try and reclaim a relationship with her estranged father. What she never expected to find was the handsome man that lives above her father's garage.

Will is fascinated by Bree. He finds himself truly falling for her, but is toeing the line since he lives on her father's property.

These two come together beautifully, the tug and pull of their romance kept me riveted from beginning to end. And I can't wait to read more from this author!

🐾Slow Burn

Will and Bree are EVERYTHING!!! Bree is such a compassionate person who had so much go wrong but when she reconnected with her dad things started SLOWLY 😉 go right! Will dealt with a tragic past but was able to make something of himself with the help of Bree’s dad. However, that past still popped up every so often causing him to keep some people at a distance.

The slow burn was torture but so worth it when things finally started spicing up!

My favorite part was Bree finally sticking up for herself! I was literally screaming for her and cheering her on!

This book was a fun read! It is definitely for those readers in the Romance era! My heart was SWOONING!

(P.S. you should 100% read this book if you love dogs/puppies)
