Wickedly Depraved

Alessandra, college graduate, newly appointed head of the Valentino family. This was always the plan, but never like this.

Four years flew by since I walked away from Luca and Vito and what could have been. Four years since I spoke my final words to my father. And now, with too many deaths to count, I must take my place as head of my family or let it fall to my stepbrothers.

Depravity surrounds us as the heirs huddle close, searching for answers and the ones who took so much from us. One false move and our lines will end far sooner than anyone ever expected.

We are safe for now, but with so much of my past in one place, can I proudly wear my new crown or will my life remain forever wicked?

Meet Alessandra and the others in Wickedly Obsessed, the prequel to Wickedly Depraved for the full reading experience. This book is intended for readers 18+ due to language and content. It is also a why choose novel meaning that the heroine will have multiple love interests that she will not have to choose between (MMFM), and there will be MM within the harem.

Miranda May does it again with Wickedly Depraved. This books takes place 4 years after the end of Wickedly Obsessed and answers a lot of questions that were raised at the end of the prequel, but leaves some questions at the end.
Lies, secrets and betrayals leave Alessa questioning if she wants the life she has been groomed for. Hearts have been wounded and bonds have been broken, but is there a way to get what was hers back?
Death and destruction bring Alessa back to her true loves, James, Vito and Luca, but can the hurt of 4 years ago be overcome or is everything going to be taken away from them.
Just the right amount of danger, suspense and steam have me addicted once again to Miranda May and the worlds she creates.
This is a dark Mafia romance that has some triggers so be sure to read them first before you dive in.

This is the conclusion of story of Alessandra, Vito, Luca (the step-brothers) and James her ex. We start four years later, and Alessandra gets the phone call to tell her it is time to come home. She has spent four years away from them, the men that hold her heart, but it was her father who broke her heart and pushed her away from them. Now her father is dead and it’s time to come home to take up her position as the new ‘Queen’. How is she going to handle seeing them, how will they be with her as she has avoided home after that one time she came home and spoke with her father. How is she going to handle her new position as head of the family and then we have her ex. He is now part of the family and not only that but he is in a relationship with .

Not only to Alessandra have to fight her feelings not only for her ex but also for her step-brothers but she needs to navigate the world she was chosen for, brought up in and groomed to run. She needs to get over her grief for a man that destroyed her and step up and be the force and strength that the family now needs. Who can they trust in the inner circle of each of the families now.

Vito now has a roughness to him that makes him more stand offish and harsh, Luca is the same as he was and James as grown in himself. The thing is all three want her they have discussed it but can they navigate them together in the disorder that surrounds them.

This is another fantastic story by Miranda May and does not disappoint. She brings the development of Alessandra as the Queen that she is as they all navigate the issues that surround them. She is a fierce, loyal Queen, who will let no-one stand in her way to protect those that she loves. The relationships is not instant with the boys but a gradual build that turns full circle by coming back to the boy her first captured her heart and then with the others being brought in. Their relationship is not an easy one as they have all been hurt and I think the way Miranda has brought their dynamics together has been well written and it is not all happy and plane sailing. Absolutely loved this book.

Plot/Storyline : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice : 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Editing (grammar/typos) : ✏️✏️✏️

This book begins a little before the events of the prequel novella (Wickedly Obsessed). Alessandra, the FMC, is getting ready to graduate from college and studying for her finals. She receives a call that changes her world and forces her to make a decision that she thought she had more time to make : taking her position as a Mafia queen or stepping down to pursue something else.

She returns home after 4 years away to confront the decisions of her past which include her ex-boyfriend (first love) James and her twin stepbrothers, Luca and Vito.

This is a mafia, why choose/reverse harem romance.

I felt that the pacing in this book was super accelerated. I thought that this story had so much potential to be much more than what we were given especially with there being five mafia families that we were introduced to and thrown into the storyline. I understand that the author intends to use those families to expand on this world which is why a lot of plots were left vague or unresolved, but I still think there could’ve been more.

The MM aspect in this MMFM, why choose book also was a point of contention for me. Although hot and sexy it didn’t come off as believable (to me). I understand that Alessa has been away for 4 years without contact/communication but there was no buildup to think that James and Luca would pair up together.

As I mention, there’s some pivotal timeline issues in this story that could be improved upon to turn it into a five star read especially since we meet some kick ass female characters (Valeria, Aria and Natalia) and I definitely think there was space to make Dante part of the harem with the chemistry the author established between Alessa and Dante.

There were a few spelling errors and lack of continuity on names (people).

I will continue to follow future books in this mafia, why choose series as I am eager to find out more about the other families.

*4.5 star review

"Wickedly Depraved" can be read as a contemporary RH standalone, but if you want to know what happened to these characters before their second chance together starts, you might be interested in reading "Wickedly Obsessed" first. It also helps to understand the relationship between Alessa and her father better, and the connections between Alessa, the other heirs and her friends. When you read "Wickedly Depraved" as a standalone, the book starts immediately, without a real build-up. As a result, this is an action-packed read, with a lot happening in a short amount of time. Still, the story never felt rushed to me.

I can honestly say I like James, Luca and Vito. They balance each other out perfectly within the harem, and the relationship between James and Luca is a nice extra to the poly relationship between these four characters. At the start of this book, the two men are already together, but knowing how they ended up together in the prequel definitely added to my enjoyment of this story as a reader. Somehow, Vito ended up as my favorite though. The road to get together was never easy for him and Alessa, but for me that only makes their ending sweeter.

The main reason why I ended up taking away half a star, is because I believe this book lacks character building when it's read on its own. I really like the men in this book, but I like them because I've had time to get to know them better while reading the prequel. This book is focussed on the action-packed storyline, but on its own there aren't many moments to really get to know them all. In my opinion, it might have been better to market this as a duet, where the first book (prequel) should be read first. But as a duet, I believe many will like it, and I'm looking forward to see future stories with some of these side characters!

Wicked Indeed 😈

Ever since I read the prequel to this story, Wickedly Obsessed, I have BEEN obsessed with getting my hands on the rest of Alessa’s story. You can definitely read this book without reading the prequel, but it’s kind of like starting a relationship & not asking anything about their past. You can still fall in love, but you won’t really know the true depths of who you’re with. Make sense? Good…so read the prequel lol.
As for this book, WHEWWWW 🤯 It just starts off with a bang. Four years after the events of the prequel, and definitely beyond time for Alessandra, James, Luca & Vito to let go of the past. This book is full of action, one twist & turn after another, and will throw so many unpredictable moments at you. Yet it is well balanced with Alessa & her guys finding their way back to each other, and building a strong bond that finds itself being tested over & over before the end of the book. The passion, chemistry & spice that we saw in the prequel is magnified by 💯 & is pure fire in this book 🔥 As amazing as this book was, I am definitely left with a LOT of questions, so it’s a good thing this isn’t the end lol. I’m really excited about the other stories that will be coming out in this universe, and that’s a big deal, because I actually don’t like mafia romances lol. Just goes to show how much faith I have in Miranda’s skill 😉

Warning up front: Be aware of the triggers. Mental health is always more important than a book.

I have been anxiously been awaiting this standalone novel since I read the prequel, Wickedly Obsessed, when it was part of an anthology. Now it is available on its own, so check it out if you haven't already read it!

Alessandra just wanted to finish college, take a summer trip with her besties, and figure out what her future was going to hold. Would she take over the family business, be the heir her father wants, give up what she might want like she had to do four years ago?

Well life sometimes (or human forces) don't give you a choice in your decisions. One event changes everything and starts a rollercoaster of events that will take Alessa and those around her to places they never wanted to go. There will be loss, there will be sacrifice, but most of all, hopefully there will be a HEA for someone.

This book was everything!! You will laugh, you will cry, you will hold your breath, and when you let it out be glad it'll be a chapter or two before you have to hold it all over again!

Wickedly Depraved is a dark mafia romance written by Miranda May. It is recommended to read Wickedly Obsessed, a prequel novella, first before starting with this book to give you more background information on what is happening.

💜 strong, smart FMC
💜 twins
💜 childhood sweetheart
💜 forced proximity
💜 why choose
💜 mystery
💜 🌶🌶🌶🌶 spicy spice

Alessandra just wants to finish these finals and she will be officially done with college. She can’t wait to travel during the summer with her friends and unwind. Unfortunately, she has to make a decision on if she will take over for her father or not as the head of the family. Can she go back home and face the three men she’s still in love with? Can she take over as the family head? Is she willing to give up on any other career option?

This was a good story about how to pick yourself and keep on going. Sometimes we can surprise ourselves with our strengths when we need them and Alessandra does just that. This story has such a diverse group of characters in it which is also refreshing. I really enjoyed the start of stories within this new universe that has been created.

Oh my, Miranda has just shown us that she can write any genre she pleases. Because this was so darn good.
I loved Alessa and her best friends. Especially Dante, I just loved him and I need more of him.
I didn’t care for the MMCs from the start but since Miranda always steers me into a direction she wants I knew I will like them eventually.
This book was also filled with heart-stopping moments and for a moment there I thought I would have to stop liking Miranda, because I was so mad and scared. But fortunately she redeemed herself.
Also there were hints for other stories during the book and I’m so intrigued and have so many questions that I can’t wait to read the next book even though it will have some things I’m not comfortable with. I will just brave it, because I need to read the story.
I’m a bit disappointed with the end because I don’t know how it will fit into the story and I really hope we won’t see less of Alessa because of that. We need her in the other stories. Because she has a strong bond with her friends.
Overall I have to say I’m not even surprised Miranda aced it again because she is becoming a damn good writer.

Wickedly Depraved is an action packed romance.
Alessandra, Vito, Luca, and James are forced to see
each other after the death of Alessa's dad and Vito and
Luca's mother. Some party has been taking out the
heads of all the fellow crime families and their spouses
leaving their heirs to take their place. The big question
is why and how are Alessa, her men, and the fellow
heirs are going to stop them before they take places
right next to their parents.

Alessandra comes into her own in this book. She steps
up to the plate and takes charge as she is now the
leader of the Valentino family. She's been away at college
and during finals week, she finds her father has been
killed and she must come back home. Coming back
home means facing the three men she left behind and
hasn't talk to for years. There isn't really any angst
between the four. There's a bit of tension, but the ongoing
threat takes precedent. The story ends with HEA.
I hope to see more of the four in the other books in the
interconnected universe.

I loved this story. It is jammed packed with action, drama, and suspense. It kept me glued to it. I did read the prequel Wickedly Obsessed and I absolutely loved Alessandra, Vito, and Luca together. Alessandra was such an amazing FMC. She absolutely was feisty, fierce, and oh so strong. I will say that at the start of this book I felt she wasn’t as fierce but then as the story progressed we started to see her again. Throughout this one Vito, Luca, and James were definitely a vital part of her story. Not wanting to give anything away but this story was most definitely a fantastic story and had me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire story. The heads of the five families just never seem to be able to catch a break. This only adds to the intrigue throughout it. This story was extremely well written. It is the type of story that you just can’t put down. I will say to completely get the full experience you will want to read Wickedly Obsessed as it gives so much information about these amazing characters. This is absolutely a must read and does not disappoint.

Wickedly Depraved is a dark mafia forbidden romance by Miranda May. Before reading this book, it is recommended to read the prequeal, Wickedly Obsessed. As with any dark romance novel, be aware of the content warnings before reading.

This novel is the conclusion to Alessa's story, set four years after the ending of Wickedly Obsessed. Alessa gets the phone call telling her to come home, that her time to decide has ended. She has spent four years away from the men that held her heart, but it was father that pushed her away and broke her heart. Now that her father is dead, she is to come home and take her position as the new mafia Queen.

How will her loves, her stepbrothers react to seeing her? How is Alessa going to react to seeing them after spending so much time avoiding them and their phone calls? Is head of the mafia family something that Alessa wants now? Dive into the Valentino family and pick up where you left off by reading this book.

Another great read by Miranda May, with the right amount of spice to plot ratio!

One bad@$$ FMC

I love how much Alessa has grown in the last four years. She's now ready to become the mafia queen she was meant to be. She doesn't need a man to protect her, but her love for James, Luca, and Vito is still strong.
She must return home to not only take over her father's territory, but also become the head of the five families, thanks to a planned attack on all of the heads at the same time.
I love that she doesn't just fall into the arms of her lovers, but takes charge of the situation.
Each of the characters have shown growth since we last visited them and so !much happens in this story that you never know what's going to happen next. The person who is the enemy is a big surprise, but they all Coe together in the end.
I can't wait to see what the story behind some of the other families is. Especially with how it ended.
I will say that the spicy times between these characters was HOT, no matter who it was between.

Good!

Wickedly Depraved, by Miranda May & @mairandamayauthor is a relatively new to me author.

Read the trigger warnings!

This book picks up 4 years after the ending of Wickedly Obsessed. Vito called Alessa the night before her last final at college to let her know that both their parents were assassinated. Alessa gets home & finds out that James, her ex, is in a relationship with Luca. All 3 want to be with her & she agrees to try. All of the mafia parents of the 5 families are killed. The 5 families' adults & children all head to a compound for safety. While there they are ambushed & the under-18 kids are taken. The person who kidnapped the kids disclose who they are. They locate & rescue the kids. They make a plan to take him & his mafia family down. They succeed in taking them down. Vigo, Alwssa, Luca & James move in with each other & have a HEA. 🥰

Wow!! I loved the short story prequel to this dark why choose romance (Wickedly Obsessed)so my expectations were high going into this read.
This book is not as dark as the prequel but I loved the continuation of the Mafia storyline and loved the tension in the story. This was a real page turner for me as the storyline had me gripped from very early on and I couldn't put it down.
The character development from the FMC and the 3 MMCs from the prequel was fantastic and a very pleasant surprise. Loved the introduction of the newer characters who either weren't in the prequel or played a very minor roll in it. Some very interesting twists and turns and I'm already eagerly awaiting the next book to answer some questions!
Spice was spaced out but worth the wait! 🥵
An easy 5 stars for me 😀

A Mafia story with a few twists you may not see coming. Plus a few hot Mafia men all in for the FMC. These boys are to die for and those spicy scenes are on fire. The story moves fast and you are never bored. It’s well paced and keeps you turning the pages and saying to yourself, “One more chapter.”
I really enjoyed this, and though there is a prequel, you don’t have to read it to know what’s going on, but it is nice to have the background on the characters and the insight into their relationship before this book.
By the end, we get the HEA we were looking for, but then a whole new slew of questions. After all, what is going on with all the other families?
I look forward to revisiting this world in future stories.

Alessa has just lost her father and is now the head of the Valentino family. Not only does she need to return home to see the loves of her lives and step-brothers that she ran away from 4 years ago, but her ex-boyfriend is now much closer to the family than he was before.

Can Alessa, Luca, Vito and James find a way back to each other or has too much time past? With war just around the corner, can Alessa rise up to the role that was always meant for her, or is mafia queen no longer in her future.

Miranda SMASHES it out of the park with this book! If you have not read Wickedly Obsessed, very much recommend that first, but Wickedly Depraved can be read without it. Full of violence, spicy and a very Boss B female main character, this book is well worth the read. LOVED IT

Amazing mafia RH

This is a mafia RH standalone. It ends with a HEA for our main characters. I would recommend you read Wickedly Obsessed, the prequel novella, before starting this book, as it introduces you to the characters.

I love this book! Lessa is a strong, kickass FMC who knows how to learn on her men, but also takes charge and is basically awesome! And the MMCs are soooo perfect! I don't know who my favorite is... I used to prefer the twins in the prequel, but now, James completely redeemed himself for me, so I love all 3 of them equally... Also, the MM content is *chef's kiss*!

I strongly recommend this book to anyone who loves RH: you'll fall in love with these characters and root for them!

This book will take you on a wild ride. If you read the prequel you know Lessa is the daughter to the Valentino family head. She's been away for four years, but with the unaliving of her parents and the other family heads, she's back and war is coming. Then there's her relationships with James, her ex and childhood sweetheart, Vito and Luca her twin stepbrothers. She left to protect them, but now that she's back will old feelings still be there? Can they reconcile what happened in the past and move forward? I absolutely loved this book and look forward to future characters books and seeing their stories unfold.

Fantastic

Wow! This book was everything I was hoping for and more. There is a prequel to this story but it can read as a standalone. I do recommend you read Wickedly Obsessed first since you will have background on these characters going in. I loved Alessandra and how feisty she is . I love her men and how different they are from each other. I was hooked from the start, completely drawn in and couldn't stop reading. There are twist that you don't see coming. I love that we get some of the chapters from the guys POV. Mafia stories are not my usual go to but Miranda May does such a great job as an author that I didn't care I can't wait for more from this world.

I love Alessa, Vito, Luca and even James. This book picks up four years after the prequel. Alessa left home without looking back four years prior after feeling betrayed by her father, ex, and basically everyone in her inner circle. When she gets a call bringing her home she is forced to try to take up the mantle and run the organization while she is also trying to navigate feelings for her step brothers and ex boyfriend.

This was a great stand alone, but I definitely recommend reading the prequel. This book had the perfect mix of danger, spice, and humor. I loved the characters and once I started reading I could not put it down.

I first met Alessandra and her men in the prequel wickedly obsessed and let me tell you I did become obsessed. I also got to met several of her best friends and I’m attached. Their story definitely takes you on a ride. There were several twists and turns I never seen coming and once they did damn was I thrown off my game. I may have even shed some tears and then that ending is just so unfair and now I have so many questions. I’m truly hoping there will be more to come from this group of characters in the future.

After reading the prequel to this book a while ago, i was excited to see where this story would go. I was not disappointed! The big focus in this book is second chances, without spoilers all i can say is, this applies in more than one way. If you love a strong willed heroine, with a sweet side, a bit of MM and an alpha hole, then you will love this book! With a mafia setting and a whole lot of side characters (i seriously need a family tree of all the families, with note's about who their friends are!) This world is definitely got more stories to tell, but i really did love this one.

As Alessa comes to terms with her parents death, and taking over the crown of the family things get more and more complicated. She needs to reconnect with her past loves, James and the twins and also with her friends from the other mafia families. Things get tense and complicated and they need to work together to save everyone. I loved how Alessa, James, Luca and Vito's relationships changed as they got to know each other again. I can't wait to read more from this world about some of the other mafia families! Another great read by an author whose work I love!

I discovered Miranda May through a recommendation and after reading Wickedly Obsessed the prequel to Wickedly Depraved I knew I'd found yet another talented author and I was excited to explore the mafia world of Alessa, her men and the threat to the five families. I was drawn in from the first and was enraptured with the character development with the strength, passion and determination first displayed in the prequel. The story was wonderfully written and the world created has me excited to delve into the lives of the supporting characters. An ending that leaves you happy but wanting more.

Secrets

Miranda May’s second book in her Dark Mafia series was even more exciting than the first. Actually it had a lot more of everything. There’s more adventure, tragedy, emotions, suspense, mystery and of course the steamy scenes. With all that drama, secrets and action, it leaves you breathless and hanging on the edge of your seat. This author is simply amazing and I can’t wait to read more about some of the characters we’ve previously encountered. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!

twin stepbrothers and the boy next door/ex-boyfriend

The highlights of this story: great world building, a high action plot, and twin sandwiches!

After reading the prequel in an anthology earlier this year I was beyond excited to get more of Alessa’s story! And it absolutely did not disappoint! With unexpected plot twists, a strong slightly unhinged FMC, and a full cast of amazing side characters this story was bound to be a hit! I look forward to getting to hear more of these character’s stories later on!

As I read this story I kept worrying that there was going to be a cliffhanger. I searched but no answer so I kept reading, through meals and long past my bedtime. This story is so good. I was in the room or the car or wherever the characters were; listening to the sassy comments, the serious planning, hearing the gunshots, people running, sounds and smells of the meals and the steamy times. Miranda is an amazing storyteller and I am anxious to read more of this amazing world she has created .

Aaaand she does it again I kid you not. It takes place after wickedly obsessed and do read that one before deciding to pick this one up. Lies, deceit and a whole lot more drama happened. Can Alessa and her mates come together again after all the hurt and pain? The guys all want her and have talked about it but now it seems to be happening can they work together? I absolutely loved it and this ends the duet.

I love Alessandra's strength and ability to not allow anyone to stand in her way. This was an amazing dark mafia RH romance.
