Whew!! Brutal Submission by Em Brown is the story of Vincent and Martina (Ramona). She has one life goal…revenge….and that is aimed at Vincent. Just when she has him, he thwarts her attempt. Then, his tortures begin….and I DO mean torture. This story is not for the faint of heart!

Martina is unbelievably strong! She goes through unbelievable anguish at Vincent’s hands…humiliation, abuse, and so many other things. But, she is steadfast in her truth, in her devotion, and unwillingness to give up her secrets…ends in a cliffhanger!!!

This is a very intense dark read that will have triggers. This is amazing read loved the plot and how alpha is trying to get the omega to give up who her partner is and her family that be killed. The cliffhanger is not what I was expecting to get.

He didn't sense her until the last minute but he was able to intercept her actions and the bullet lodged into the bed board. This was the biggest mistake that she could ever make when she failed, and now he's going to break to his will.
Vincent is a sadist, evil, cruel, wealthy and powerful man. At first he thought that she was a young boy because she didn't have any breast. This was because she had them strap down with a towel. Martina was the first person who ever got that closed to killing him out of all his many enemies and he was intrigued. He saw the fire in her eyes and he have never seen so much hatred before and he had to figure out why and who she was before he kill her. His bodyguards worked her over pretty good. She's twenty-one years old. She has never had anytime for relationships because she was so focused on avenging her family's death. Martina name tag said that she was Ramon but she was no Ramon. Vincent wanted to know who she was and ordered his guards to put her into the dungeon. He torture her with various objects to get her to disclosed her name. But she went from Ramon to Ramona, then Irene Lazzrini someone from the Italian family. She threw him off the richter when she mentioned the name Irene, because that was name of the love of his life and the mother of his child who murdered three years ago.
Martina was strong and it doesn't matter what type of torture that he came up with she stuck to the name and she didn't tell him who she was working with. She had a secret that he wasn't aware of at first. She's an omega and he's an alpha. But she's suppressing her nature through the help of the beta blockers which is manufactured by Vincent company. However, without them she will go into heat, which is bad for her and good for him. Whether she wants to or not her body will submit to him. And when she did he was licking her tears, savoring her trembling and dominating her until she was begging him to climax. Each he would torture her with different implement and deprave her of liquid and food but she still would not break. Even when he let is guards use her while each watched.
However, when he had her he could not get her out of his mind even after he slept with someone else. He had to go back and have her again. She brought out something in him that no other woman had before and he have had plenty of omega's before. He went from going to kill her in a couple of days to deciding to keep her for himself. But Martina is just waiting for the right time to struck and enact her revenge. Vincent had never let his bodyguards part take in this type of torture before and he really didn't know why he did it.
At times this was a little bit difficult for me to read, because of the constant rape with guards then Vincent. But I pressed on and finished the book.

Wow! Please read the full description of TW!!! This book took me on a roller coaster of emotions I didn't think I was going on. It's an incredible book, very well written. It Gets to the point and it's spicy! 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ An alpha and omega story line. Very true to the enemy to lover idea. Honestly these two couldn't hate each other any more than what they do and yet it turns around so fast you're left putting the book down going "what in the heck am I reading!" (In a good way). You wouldn't think you would agree with anything going on in this book. It will put you in a downright rage, but the way the author goes back and forth between the alpha and omega, I'm left speechless, wondering why Ive continued on. It's DARK. It's twisted. But, if you've read Alpha and Omega books prior to this, you get a really good idea about half way through about what's going to happen. You just have no idea how and the way the book ends on a Cliff hanger has me BEGGING for my next check. Honestly, I've never read anything this dark, but I've never read anything this enticing, this intriguing and captivating. I'm not going to spoil anything about this book. But it's good .... Really really good!!!!! Now excuse me while I go take a very cold shower, cry, scream, and then drink a very tall glass of wine. Because this book just took me through a ringer. ❤️ Enjoy book girlies!

I'm about 75 pages into Brutal Surrender and about 40 of those pages literally repeat THIS whole book basically. Some things need a reminder but not every single thing. There was no point in the first book if it was all going to be in the second, minus the BDSM torture (no pleasure) and more. Could've just all been one book. Anyway..
This was my first "omegaverse" book. I'm not a fan. I'm going to see it through and finish the second book but I won't be reading another omegaverse. It's just not for me. My rating is solely based on everything else from the book.
There were maybe 2 or more handfuls of typos, missing words, cut off words, punctuation errors. It's like no one proof read this more than once maybe not even that.
Another thing is that there should've been a glossary of translations for us that don't know Korean (?) and/or Italian. Definitely would've been helpful along with that a description and definitions of an "omegaverse." I had to stop and Google many times what alphas, betas, omegas etc were and other things among the omegaverse.
Heavy on the trigger warnings so be advised: SA, rape, abuse (physically, mentally, emotionally), starvation, murder etc. This is heavily based on BDSM but it's torture with no pleasure until about the point of the cliffhanger (end of the book) so just a forewarning.

This book is dark and mess up in a lot of ways but so addicting I couldn’t stop reading and turning the pages fast enough! It’s pages are full of steamy intense scenes with lots of different feelings going on. It’s got revenge all over it hated which I don’t blame her whatsoever but as I read I had a couple different guesses about what really happened I can’t wait for book 2! When everything you know and love is gone how far will you go to get justice? This women is so independent strong and crazy in my opinion for everything she doing/ going through in this book! Get ready for unpredictable uneasy moments page turner twisted and enemies all the way plus so much more! This book will have you wanting book 2 right away! Please be careful this book isn’t for everyone gots lot downgrading and a lot more things that could be too much for someone there is TW please pay attention!! A keeper it reminds me of some other books by Em Brown it did not disappoint a great dark start for another amazing series!.

As suggested in the title it’s kinda brutal so check your triggers. Alpha/omega, sub/dom, age-gap, non-con, bondage, captivity, r*pe, psychological & physical abuse, torture.

Brutal Submission is the first book in Em Brown’s Dark Mafia Omegaverse. It’s currently available on KU or paperback. It’s an enemies-to-lovers dark romance/erotica with morally grey characters.

The majority of the book takes place on Vincent’s private yacht. Vincent is the boss of a criminal enterprise and also owns a pharmaceutical company that manufactures Omega Blocker pills to quell the effects of an Alpha on an Omega.

Martina sneaks onto Vincent’s yacht seeking revenge for her family’s brutal murder. When Martina’s caught by Vincent and his crew they enforce brutal submission upon her.

This is erotica for people without triggers. Its spicy scenes are good but not as all-encompassing as they could be. For erotica the storyline is decent, and I like Martina as a FMC. Martina’s tough as nails and determined as all hell.
The last book of the Dark Mafia Omegaverse trilogy is set to publish in August ‘24.

This book is very intense and dark from the beginning to the end.
This definitely isn’t a book for the faint hearted.
For me it’s fine and I was able to read this.

I love how strong Martina is, and how dominant Vincent is.
Was easy to read and I couldn’t stop turning the page hence why I read it in a couple hours.
Very descriptive book, not like your usual dark romance. I think you need to be open-minded enough to enjoy this book. It’s also understandable why someone wouldn’t like this.

Was going to buy the second book, ‘brutal surrender’ but I heard that there is supposed to be a third book that was supposed to come out almost 3 years ago, called brutal redemption.
It seems like there won’t be a third or ending to this book. So at this point is there any point reading the second? But there was a cliffhanger and I’m curious to see if Martina and Vincent’s bond changes throughout the second book.

I feel like every intense scene they had together would have been better if Vlad and Jack weren’t there at least some of the time, so that their moments felt more intimate, especially at the end.
I also wish the book was longer.

To start out, this book may not be for all, please read the triggers. Has action, revenge, tortures, abuse, very brutal scenes, some BDSM, along with some twists. Is well written by this author but does end in a cliffhanger, so does that mean there will be another book to follow. Good plot and able to hold your attention. Martina goes after Vincent thinking he was the one who murdered her family but is mistaken. So now Vincent has her and uses her as he feels. Has some very intense scenes so again may not be for everyone. Would recommend to some.

The main FC is captured while she tried to unalive the MMC (who she thinks ordered a hit on her entire family) & OMG he makes her pay in the most unrelentingly brutal ways as his captive😳👀😯🙄.There is no ❤lost between these two enemies, do don't expect any romance in book 1. Despite the intense darkness, I am hoping they find a way to resolve conflict & misunderstanding🤷, find a way to avoid bringing up daises; and dare I say love???? I think the author is honest with her warnings about the dark content in this book. It is dark, not a romance, and graphic. Martina is captured after her attempt to kill Vincent is not successful. Now, he wants to figure out who she is and why she tried to kill him and he's going to torture her to get the answers. His method of torture is non-consensual BDSM and it's intense. Deprivation, humiliation, bondage, paddling, caning, forced bj's and rape are some of his methods. This ends in a cliffhanger.

This is dark af. And twisted af. Just the way I like it. Her family was murdered yet she survived. She's trying to kill the man she believes order their deaths. But she got caught. Plus she's going after the wrong man. You get plenty non-con and degradation. The Cliffhanger will have you begging for more. I'm anxiously awaiting the next book. This is the first book I've read by this author and I'm hooked now.

Brutal is as brutal does! Dang, I never could have dreamed up so many brutal methods of torture! Martina is the only member of her family that survives their massacre. She is only 15 but five years later, plots to murder Vincent, the head of the Black Dragon Triad criminal organization and responsible for the murders. Unfortunately she fails and Vincent tortures her unceasingly, determined to discover who she is. Adding to her woes is the fact she is an Omega to Vincent's Alpha. Extremely violent and sexual. Intriguing however. Be warned.

There's no plot. Her family is supposedly murdered by mmc and she's out for revenge. She manages to get onto his yacht and not kill him. But of course she doesn't tell him who she is, why she's there, or any other important information. So 90% of the book is him torturing her by having his men rape her and depriving her of food and water. If you read the first couple of chapters and the last, you won't have missed much in the middle. There's no romance in here, and there also wasn't any plot. More like torture porn, and it also ends on a cliffhanger.

Woa, not my cup of tea at all

I try not to give less than 3 stars but especially to books that just aren’t MY style of book. I don’t want to spoil this for others but any book without a possessive hero or hero’s just don’t do it for me. The degradation, passing around and and Willy Milly use to any and all doesn’t tickle my fancy. I will not be continuing this series.
All in all, just not my kïnk, I absolutely hate when women are used like she was in book. Just nope. It’s a no for me.

Book Review:
This is my first book by E M Brown, and I have read this as a physical. Tbh this book started great (even though it’s 162 pages), but some of the sentences and wordings made me re-read the whole sentence or paragraph. There is no trigger warnings on the front of the book which is unusual since there is either a QR code to all the triggers or a whole trigger list. This book was filled with spice, barely any plot! wtf, I had to take a sip of a drink after this book!

I enjoyed the story even if it was a little harsh on Martina. One of these days they are going to write about a woman with a strong back bone like Martina appears to have and once the man has come to terms with his true feelings for her she'll tell him where to stick it. LOL Not saying he can't win her back a few years later but he should have to work extra hard to prove he really loves her and is sorry.

I personally did not like this book , it ends on a cliffhanger, but the nastiness of these men is so outrageous when these men put her in the cage and Sexually raped her through the cage and peed on her then the main guy she was out to kill let all his guys rape her I was mad I was turned off I like to read to enjoy it but this book didn't do it for me I didnt even want to read book 2 so this book was a big no for me. This book is as the author described, very dark and contains many triggers but there is an undercurrent of something else and Vincent is coming to terms with his humanity. I can’t say I enjoyed this book, who could enjoy what happens to Martina, even if she did try and kill Vince, but it is a fascinating read about human nature.

This was right up my alley. It was honestly a good mix of things. I wish there was more colorful descriptions during the scenes, but I can get over it.
Be mindful of the trigger warnings. I could see how this could trigger someone.
