A superstar couple’s double homicide accidentally casts their personal assistant into a real-life thriller.
In the cutthroat realm of Hollywood, where glitz and glamour hide the darkest secrets, Laney Marrs serves as an assistant to the stars. Day in and day out, she navigates the demands of her A-list employers, donning her signature little black dress and clutching her imitation Fendi in a world where the superficial is a facade for something far more sinister.
When Laney wakes up in a hotel room beside her famous boss, her life takes a nightmarish turn. Mere hours later she’s accused of both his and his wife’s brutal murder, thrusting her into a whirlwind of chaos. Determined to prove her innocence, Laney embarks on a dangerous journey, only to unravel a tale of international intrigue.
Amidst the make-believe sphere of celebrity life, Laney’s presented with a terrifying mystery, challenging everything she thought she knew. Is she a pawn in a clandestine conspiracy or is it all just a deadly game, leading to an unthinkable conclusion?
For enthusiasts of plot-twisting thrillers and suspense, The Assistant beckons—a tale where reality blurs, promising a read that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Bonny Fawn is an Emerita Professor of Business and suspense author. Over twenty-five years in academia her work often included reviewing organizational cases—some of which contained layers of fraud. Hence, the inspiration of her debut novel THE CLIENTS was born. Truth can be stranger than fiction.
Bonny spends her days thinking up more twisted plot lines, often influenced by real events, and walking her rescue dog, Mr. Kirby, who is beyond reproach. He turns up his nose at liars and cheats. Of course, Bonny doesn’t have the heart to tell him she wouldn’t have much to write about without them.
This is an excellent thriller! The main character is likable from the beginning as a hard worker who doesn’t put up with being disrespected by her wealthy and powerful employer, but she only becomes more likable and relatable as she’s thrown into a horrible situation for which no normal person has any preparation. She’s resourceful and thinks well on her feet, as she becomes a suspect in a shocking murder and has to go on the run. It turns out that US and Russian intelligence are both involved in the murder and the danger that follows. The whole story comes together very well at the end, tying up questions I had along the way. I can enthusiastically recommend this clever book; I received an arc, for which I’m grateful, but these opinions are my own.
I usually read one book at a time or I forget about it and get confused with the books. Reading this book felt like reading 3 books at a time for most of this book. Until the reveal when it started to make sense to me. Once it started to make sense, it became enjoyable and I was gripped. I love that she has the support of her sister til the end.
I received an advance copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Outstanding! Compelling story full of twists, turns and unceasing surprises!
After reading the first few chapters I was drawn to the characters and the intricate plot. The story is fast paced, and enthralling, and it kept getting better and better until multiple surprise twists that are exposed in the final few chapters! The book was extremely engaging and I devoured the pages in short order! This book ranks up there with the best of the suspense novels… truly! Unwittingly Laney, “The Assistant” finds herself in the middle of a very intricate web if deception, international intrigue, murder, and literally running for her life. Not knowing who she can trust she must unravel what is really happening; her life depends upon it. I very much enjoyed the thrills and rollercoaster I was on reading this book. One chapter I felt that I was getting handle on what was really going on and “who was who”. After the next chapter it was back to the drawing board. It isn’t until the final chapters that the identities of the players are revealed, and then there is a very fulfilling ending where all of the pieces fall together. Bravo!
This is the second book I have read by this author and SHE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! I will now (somewhat) patiently await the next book that I am confident will be another fantastic read. I was provided a copy of this book by the author, and am leaving this review that reflects my opinion of the book voluntarily.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a very fast paced thriller. I was sucked in from the start and the action didn’t stop to let you catch a breath!
There were a lot of characters and honestly I didn’t trust any of them. I really liked Laney though she was a great main character, she was literally on the run for her life to try and clear her name.
I loved the setting in Hollywood too. One minute everything was all glamorous for Laney being the assistant to a famous couple and the next she’s wanted for murder!
I recommend this one if you love a fast paced suspense with lots of twists.
Thank you to Love Book Tours and the author for having me on the tour and for my gifted ebook.
When Laney, a personal assistant to a Hollywood power couple, is suspected of their murder, her life becomes crazy complicated and dangerous.
Told from different timelines and POVs, this twisty thriller kept me turning pages. It has everything I love in a cloak-and-dagger book: Russians, the CIA, politics, great locations, and a splash of romance.
Laney Marrs worked as a personal assistant to Alan Tapscott. He was her famous boss and maybe her way into being a screenwriter which was her ultimate goal. Alan was married to Songie Connor who was a famous actress. They were releasing a film called Voodoo Holiday on Halloween.
Laney wakes up one morning next to her boss Alan, in her bed. She is aghast. Just as she gets to the couch to get her dress, the doors to the bedroom open and there are some paparazzi taking pictures of her and Alan in the same room. Then Songie comes down the stairs and accuses them of having an affair which is totally untrue. A little later, Laney hears that her bosses have been killed and she is the prime suspect.
She is at the airport, when she is pointed out by another passenger that she killed her boss and Laney took off down the departure lounge with the customer in tow. When Laney is near gate 2, she spots it’s a security gate and it’s opening with Nick standing there, calling her. She changes direction. She just makes it and then collapses, catching her breath as Nick slams the door behind her to many people’s disgust. They then leave the airport with Isaac driving the car.
Between the three of them resolving to clear Laney’s name, it appears that someone in Hollywood is possibly a courier for foreign agents in search of government secrets. They managed to track Dmitri and Boris to a house where Laney there was a secret corridor from the house next door so they used the corridor to get to the attic to hear what they were saying, they only understood the word ‘Ming’. Could they mean the actress? Nick said ‘Shit’, loud enough that Dmitri and Boris heard, so Laney and Nick had to make a speedy exit via the window with the rope. They got Isaac to meet them in the side alley but they were chased and when they came to traffic lights, Isacc ran the red, hitting another vehicle. They had to leave him unconscious at the wheel as they escaped their attackers. Then they were on the run for their lives.
Do Laney and Nick get to save her name? Do they find the foreign agent? Or the government secrets?
This was a really exciting read with plenty of action involved. The plot was very convincing and definitely something like Hollywood would like their plot to be. I like the fact that there is so much action including secret agents, foreign documents and microchips. It made a change to read a spy thriller including murder, innocents, spies and foreign agents. It must have taken time to research to write this book so I applaud the author for that. A book definitely worth reading if you like thrillers or spy thrillers.
This is a fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat thriller that is almost impossible to put down. I finished in just a couple of days, around a super busy schedule, because I needed to know what was happening next! It was an easy read, with a digestible plot, and twists at every turn.
Now, I couldn’t find out where Ms. Fawn, the author, lived. I tried. Because I want to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, since I can’t for a fact say she’s not from New Orleans, I guess I can’t be too upset. But I assumed, based on the description, that the book was set in Los Angeles. So when from page one we were in New Orleans, I was a little confused. Then, when we had corrupt cops, I got a little defensive. Do I know Louisiana is infamous for corrupt officials? Obviously. Do I think it’s okay for non-Louisianians to write about it? Not really. So, I have some mixed feelings about this.
I enjoyed the character development. I believed in the characters, their struggles, and their interactions. Our main character was–as more than one other character pointed out–a little unbelievable, but in certain ways that I don’t want to spoil. The storyline, upon reflection, is also a little far-fetched. There are just a few too many coincidences, but then maybe orchestrated incidents don’t count as coincidences. But the writing was so engaging and exciting, as a good thriller should be, that my belief was suspended properly, and I didn’t notice until well after I finished writing and was thinking back on the story. And it was a good story because it kept me thinking about it.
Who’s It For? Anyone who loves a good, twisty thriller that will keep you turning the page and needing to know what happens next will love this book. There’s a little bit of everything – romance, intrigue, friendship, sisterhood, murder, infidelity, and so much more!

I really enjoyed The Clients, so I knew I would love The Assistant, and it didn’t disappoint! Right from the first line, I was hooked. I loved Laney and her POV, while also getting a few other POVs. While I did not guess the twist 100% correctly, I did have some suspicions, but was overall pleased with the turns the story took. I also loved how Laney ended up changing her attitude on life by the end of the story aka became more self assured! My favorite part of the story was the fact that it took place in New Orleans, as I visited once and I would love to go back. This made me yearn for it all the more! Very clever and well written story. I can’t wait to see what Bonny writes next!
Laney Marrs has just been accused of murdering a famous power couple. After waking up in Alan’s bed hours earlier, this is definitely not how she was planning her day. Laney is Alan’s assistant: pivotal to his life, taking on every menial tasks thrown at her, just for the chance to get her screenplay sold. In the media spotlight and running away to catch a breath, she is left to clear her name with no phone, Nick (persona assistant to Sophie) and several scary men on her trail at every corner.
Laney seemed like a good person, trying hard to get ahead in the world, and she was treated as a pawn throughout the entire story. The whole idea of trust was pivotal to the plot of this book – who to tryst, when to trust them, and discovering why. Laney’s experiences were very plausible. There was nothing about her that was untoward, and that became the basis for her being a scapegoat in something so much more sinister than she could ever realise.
There are two distinct plot lines that very quickly merge at points and also travel parallel to each other, and the details in the other story line, which shared two years prior to the murder might lead you off and astray, however it is the grounding that is needed for this story to ensue. I love the conspiracies, the double-double agents, the surreptitious operations, the running from the bad guys which gave momentum. Bonny Fawn has a knack of introducing twists and turns gives you more twists and turns, and you might need to go back a few pages just to make sure you are on track with some characters because there are moments where actions do speak louder than words. A great book tour book!
When Hollywood power couple Songie Connor and Alan Tapscott are found shot to death in their suite in the Ritz-Carlton in the French Quarter, Alan’s personal assistant, Laney Marrs, becomes the prime suspect in the murders.
But did she do it? And if not, then who is responsible? And why were the two actors slain?
=========
Told from multiple points of view and in both past and present, the narrative benefits from strong characterizations and a thoroughly likable but put-upon protagonist. With unexpected twists, readers are kept guessing as the narrative moves between characters, spinning its web of deceit and danger. Almost everyone holds a secret or two; lies and manipulations are the order of the day. And Laney must find a way to negotiate all of this to clear her name.
As the unfolding story reveals backstories and readers discover closely-held secrets, a twist in the telling of the tale changes everything readers thought they knew. With nonstop action, a tantalizing mystery, international espionage, ever-growing suspense, and unexpected surprises, readers who enjoy thrillers will find much to appreciate in this unputdownable tale with its stunning denouement.
Highly recommended.
I received a free review copy of this book through BookSirens, and I am voluntarily leaving this review.
The Assistant is the perfect summer mystery suspense read. It's full of twists and turns, secret identities, a Hollywood couple behaving badly, international espionage, and a high stakes chase across New Orleans. At the center of it all is a tiny Russian microchip that could threaten US security.
A superstar couple’s double homicide accidentally casts their personal assistant Laney into the limelight as the number one suspect. As Alan's personal assistant, she’s a therapist, dog walker and toilet bowl cleaner. But she certainly isn't a killer. Now she's on the run with fellow assistant Nick, not knowing who she can trust as she scrambles to unravel what is really happening.
This was such a fun read and I raced through it in less than two days! Laney is a great character - after two years with a horrible Hollywood icon for a boss she's learned to be patient, persistent and supremely organized. Her sister, Neela, and a large cast of characters add layers upon layers of suspense and surprise.
It did start a bit slow for me and the varying timelines tripped me up at first. Once I was in my reading groove, and the action picked up, I hit my stride. Definitely recommend this story from Bonny Fawn, who also wrote The Clients.
Thank you Book Sirens and Let's Talk Books for my complimentary digital ARC!
3.5 stars, rounded up to 4 stars. Thank you Book Sirens for the opportunity to receive a free ARC of this novel, in turn I am leaving an honest review of my own opinion.
This book is well thought out; the story line is great! However the writing style and execution were not my favorite. This story was a little slow in the beginning for my liking. The author writes in short sentences and there’s not much dialogue. While reading, my thoughts were “I wish I had more details”. The book didn’t pick up pace until about 65-70% of the way thru, but once it did, I was hooked! I wanted to love this book from the beginning, but couldn’t. At first it seemed like Fawn was writing two TOTALLY different stories. Then they were finally brought together towards the end of the novel and I can definitely say I was surprised and hooked! When the story unfolded around 70% thru, I started devouring the pages! I thought I had all the characters figured out, but Fawn gives you more twists and turns towards the end. The ending is very well put together, Fawn ties the story up with an imaginary bow. This was my first book by this author and it was a great read for me! Can’t wait to see what Fawn comes up with next!
This book is a wild ride on steroids, seriously. I was completely sucked in! Picture this: the main character wakes up next to her boss, who's this big-shot actor, right? But outta nowhere, paparazzi crash the scene, and guess who shows up? His wife, who's this mega-famous actress. I swear, I was laughing and gripping the book like crazy, dying to know what on earth was gonna happen next.
And just when you think it can't get any more insane, the author drops this bomb – the boss and his wife are killed later on. Yeah, you heard me right. But wait, it gets even crazier – brace yourself – the guy's… um, private part is missing. I kid you not! It's like a jaw-dropping, heart-pounding combo of shock and disbelief.
The characters are so real. I found myself rooting for Laney while also trying to figure out what I'd do in her shoes. And the author writes these relationships so darn well – they're not just surface-level. You're legit invested in what goes down with these people.
If you're into stories that mess with your mind (in the best way possible), this one's gonna blow your socks off. Get ready to cancel all your plans, my friend, 'cause you won't wanna put this down!

Thank you @bonnyfawn_author for the gifted digital book and for inviting me to be on your launch team. My thoughts are my own.
This fast-paced book will grab your attention from the first page!
Laney Marrs is personal assistant to the narcissistic movie star, Alan Tapscott, husband of the equally self-centered actress Songie Conner. Laney puts up with the couple’s constant demands until the day Songie arranges for Laney to wake up naked in bed with Alan…all for a publicity stunt! But when Songie and Alan are murdered later that day, Laney is the number one suspect. Suddenly she is on the run, chased by spies who are leaving a trail of murders along the way. Can she untangle this mess before she is apprehended by the police - or the bad guys?
The story unfolds through Laney’s first person perspective as well as the third person perspectives of a few other key characters key. There is also a dual timeline. I found it slightly confusing at first, but quickly caught on. There are some exciting twists I never saw coming!
Read this if you enjoy: *suspense *espionage *multiple twists
ARC Book Review The Assistant A Novel Written By Bonny Fawn Fiction - Mystery Published August 16, 2023 232 Pages ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the second book written by Bonny Fawn that I have read. Just like her first book, The Clients, this book has mystery, suspense, multiple twists, and even a little romance. You can expect a riveting plot from this author.
Laney Marrs is an aspiring screenwriter. She has been the personal assistant to Alan Tapscott for two years. Alan is an actor, producer, philanthropist, and husband of Songie Connor. Songie is an Oscar winning actress. Alan and Songie are a Hollywood power couple.
The day of the premiere of Songie’s new movie Alan and Songie are found dead in their hotel suite in the Ritz-Carlton in the French Quarter of New Orleans. The primary suspect is Laney.
This book has multiple points of view, multiple timelines, and a cast of characters. In an attempt to clear her name, we are taken on a wide ride through New Orleans with Laney. There is espionage, Russian agents, CIA, FBI. Who can Laney trust? Who is telling the truth? Can we trust Laney?
🌟🌟🌟🌟 Bonny Fawn isn’t trying to improve the image of Hollywood with her latest thriller—The Assistant. No tears were shed when she killed off this famous Tinsletown couple!
Laney is working as Alan’s personal assistant but her passion is screenplay writing and she’s hopeful this job will help make that dream a reality. But when Alan and his wife are viciously murdered, this thriller turns into an intriguing tale of government secrets, undercover agents, and espionage. Laney is forced to transition from assistant to rebel rockstar! I wouldn’t have made it five minutes in her place. The last half of this story is super fast-paced and the ending is fabulous!
Sincere thanks to Bonny Fawn for providing this complimentary ARC provided by Book Sirens. As always, all opinions are my own and are left voluntarily.
This is a book that starts with an absolute BAM and never, ever lets up the pace! There’s not a single moment to catch your breath as you duck, dive and weave through the increasingly frenetic plot, which despite that breakneck speed, never leaves you behind. #TheAssistant is a well-plotted and endearingly enjoyable read, easily straddling that line between bubblegum holiday read and crime caper. You’ll keep on turning those pages to find out what happens next – and each of those pages does its best to outdo the one before. It doesn’t disappoint. Is it a little far-fetched? Possibly (although who am I to say that KGB plots in Tinseltown don’t actually happen?). Is it a rollicking good adventure? Absolutely. Would I recommend you read it? Of course! If you like your reading matter high energy, entertaining, and with a Hollywood blockbuster speed about it, then you’ll love The Assistant. As for me – it kept me guessing right to the end, and very happy to have been there for the ride. A thumping four stars!
I found the whole premise of this book wonderful! It’s a clever blend of a murder mystery, with a splash of saucy affair to lead up to it and a big spoon of spy intrigue. As the assistant works a gruelling and very unrewarding job, we get to know her, wondering if she ever will get that break she so desperately craves, and then the morning after is thrown into the mix, but we can stop there long as a swift reply of the murder of her bosses throws us into the heart of the story. I really liked seeing just how she morphed into her new self, as she tried her best to get to the bottom of things and clear her name from the mud the murder, and all the other sordid details drug her through. I found her character interesting and quite refreshing to get to know. It was written in a way that made discovering the details very fun and interesting. Overall, I was largely impressed with this book. I found it a detailed write and the author kept the story lively and exciting, as well as doing well to hold my attention and keep me quite hooked on the story.
Do you love action packed murder mystery with totally unanticipated-multiple plot twists? If your answer is YES, then ‘The Assistant’ by @bonnyfawn_author cannot be missed!
When the famous and loved celebrity couple are found dead on the same under extremely suspicious circumstances(the first line of the book!), their hardworking assistant Laney Marrs becomes the prime suspect. As she runs away from the eyes of the public, she is caught in whirlpool that can rock the world.
Written with dual timeline - past and present, the book completely engrosses the reader, the characters are well developed with a realistic feel, the mystery of the murder is cleverly built creating a huge tension while reading the book and with so much of unexpected, jaw-dropping plot twists, this book is a perfect blend of Hollywood, mafia, spies, espionage and suspense.
I am so glad that I got to be part of this book tour organised by @kellyALacey from @lovebookstours
Bonny Fawn gives me almost everything I love in a book—only missing the dragons and a full on love story—but I got multi-pov, multi-timeline, a strong female lead, armature sleuthing, drama, scandal, an underlying writer/bookish world arc, spies, espionage, conspiracies, and secret identities.
One of my favorite things when reading a thriller/mystery is to guess along the way at what is going on and what will happen—while I love guessing right, I love it even more when I don’t see the twists. There were many times I was needing to pick my jaw back up off the floor and regroup.
Bonny Fawn has made her way to my list of authors I watch and follow for what comes next as well as going back to read what came before.
I did receive an arc of this book, all thought and opinions are mine and left voluntarily.
Laney is an assistant to a Hollywood star, Alan. When she is caught in bed with him (bigger story than that) she is the target of paparazzi and when he and his starlet wife end up dead.... She had to go on the run as everyone suspects she did it. With the help of the starlet's assistant, Nick, they try to figure out why these two were killed but she's got bigger problems with her helper that she doesn't know yet.
I liked Laney and felt it was so unfair what happened to her through this story but I love how resilient she was. There are so many twists, almost no one is who they really seem, and it's just so fast paced and thrilling. There are a few POVs but you never get confused. This was just a very great thrill ride!
“Sources say Alan Tapscott’s penis is missing,” states the reporter in a matter-of-fact tone on the widescreen in gate ten’s passenger waiting area.
With a first line like that, you know its going to be interesting! This book starts out with a bang and the action never stops. This twisty thriller keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time, has you making guesses that turn out to be wrong, holding your breath, just waiting to see what is going to happen next. I literally devoured this book in one day because I could not stop reading it. A big bonus is the action took place in my favorite cities, New Orleans. This thriller has international espionage, government secrets, Hollywood celebrities, mystery, suspense, action, and a whole lot of thrills with high stakes. Be sure to check this one out when it’s released in just a few weeks!
I think I mentioned recently that I'm not a huge reader of the political espionage genre, but that it's something I watch a lot of on tv. Here is another great example of why I need to be reading more of this genre as it's such a good partner to the psychological thrillers with twists and turns which I love.
Here, Laney, 'the assistant', finds herself caught up in a messy situation as her famous employers are found murdered. As she battles to free herself from suspicion, she ends up uncovering a whole host of unsavoury goings on in the glamorous world of Hollywood.
This was an extremely fast-paced read which scooped you up from the start and whisked you through an intriguing, complex and twisty plot.
There were lots of characters and I honestly did not trust any one of them. I love flawed characters and this had many to dislike or like depending on your take. Laney was a great main character as she literally ran for her life, she showed a skill set way beyond her previous role of chasing after everyone else. A great character to develop.
I loved that this one had me totally stumped. I had no clue how this was going to end until the very final few chapters where everything came together so beautifully. Every piece of the jigsaw complete and this left me feeling completely satisfied by the last page. A great finish.
A really enjoyable read - I'm sure to be reading much more of this genre now and also more by this author.
So many twists and turns! Laney is assistant to Alan a Hollywood star. She wakes up in bed with him one day with no idea how she got there. The paparazzi is there as his wife finds them together. When both he and his wife wind up dead, Laney is the prime suspect. She goes on the run and Nick, the assistant to Allen’s wife, helps her try to find the real killer.
The story was a little slow in the beginning but it did pick up around halfway through. The characters are well described and I really liked Laney. Just when you think you have it all figured out another twist! This has Hollywood, the mafia, spies, espionage , and suspense. This was my first read by Bonnie Fawn and I can’t wait for more!
I’m pleased to be part of Bonny Fawn’s ARC team, and The Assistant is another brilliant book from the author of The Clients. It was quite literally full of WTF moments, fast-paced, with lots of violence.
Told from three points of view, Laney, JD and Vlad and set across different timelines, it took me longer than Laney to realise what was going on. Even then, I still couldn’t work out who was good and who was bad! Finally, though, all the pieces of this masterpiece are brought seamlessly and cleverly together.
Bonny Fawn is a phenomenal writer and drags the reader in, keeping them locked in until the bitter end. If there are any movie directors out there, this would be so good on the big screen - just wanted to put that out there,
Thank you to the author for including me on her ARC team and for the opportunity to read and review The Assistant.
After The Clients I knew that I would be hooked on Bonny's books and I can confidently say that The Assistant lived up to the expectations I had! I was hooked from the synopsis alone but reading through the plot, ohh boy, that was a ride! A story told through multiple point of views and through the events leading up to the BIG finale? Oh chef's kiss, loved it, every moment of it! The twists and turns that popped up kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know more! Then having Laney have her full circle moment at the end was beautiful! Amazing thriller, don't think I could recommend this book enough.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I kinda went into it blind, as this is the first book by this author that i read and i was not disappointed!
It's a clever, quick paced murder mystery that keeps you on your toes with the twists it has!
Laney is for real such a resourceful bad bitch that takes no ish from anyone, especially her boss, she was thrown into deep and dangerous waters but she survived and i really admired her for that! I really liked that her sister was by her side til the end!
I enjoyed all the characters and how the end really ties everything together!!!
Thank you Plunge into Books Tours, Booksirens and Bonny for this ARC 🙏🏻
The book is a story about an advanced microchip developed by The Russians to steal the nuclear codes of the USA. Laney works for one half as the latest power couple in Hollywood. Things go bad in the couple is murdered and it looks like she did it. The story moved though one hot spot near miss after another and it ends well with several twists I did not see coming. Power and money are certainly in play here. The setting in New Orleans was great and the description of the parties and the streets being filled was very accurate having experienced Mardi Gras time. All in all, the book was very good with flash backs helpful in fleshing out the story. Good read and worth the time
Umm so this book, where do I even start?? I mean it started out with a punch and then the bangs just kept coming. I didn't know who was who or who worked for who and who can trust. Legit I felt for Laney she was trying to do her job and got legit dumped into the middle of some crazy things!! I love a good keep me on the edge of my seat book and this didn't disappoint!! I can't wait to check out more books by this author !!! First time reading something of hers and dang I need more. Y'all go check out this book !!!
Reading Bonny Fawns’s sophomore book is a treat!!! I’ve read her debut book, The Clients, but these can be read as standalones. This book includes Hollywood glamour, secrets, spies and so much more! The book is told in dual locations. One is with Laney, the assistant accused of murder, and the other with spies out to get the US. Side note: The US has a woman president in this book, which I love!!!!
The writing style made me feel as if I was in the book. I loved the characters and the setting. This book will keep you turning the pages late into the night!
