Travellers, standing stones, an abandoned baby, and icy water rushing over a lifeless body in an alpine stream – when Meadow’s dreams of a warm Highland homecoming become a real-life nightmare, Finn steps up to offer a helping hand. But Meadow is bent on going it alone.
Finn’s boss, Heather, thinks Finn is trying to take over while she’s on maternity leave, and Finn’s mum, Jaelle doesn’t need help from him now that she’s got Munro. What does a man do when his strength is helping others, but the unshakable women he’s surrounded by don’t need or want his help?
When heartache threatens their lives, working together to solve mysteries and uncover secrets may help fuse Finn and Meadow’s friendship. But can an old curse be broken before it breaks them?

Note: I received a free copy of this book ahead of the release date and all these thoughts are my own.
Alpine Meadow is another great book by Sherrie! I felt that I was transported to the Scottish countryside while reading this cleverly crafted who-done-it. The characters were relatable and the conflict, drama and romance were all perfectly balanced with just the right amount of surprise sprinkled in. Hoping there’s another book in this series!
All of the books I have read by this author have been standalone, so when I purchased this I didn’t realise it was a follow-up until I started reading it. It takes up where the last one left off perfectly and made me want to go back and re-read it. Some of the characters are the same, but there are also new ones. Though it follows the same story trope, it is very different in regard to storyline. It has a bit of mystery to it and flows well.
I highly recommend you read Highland Heather and then continue on to this one
What a great book! I couldn’t put it down and lost lots of hours of sleep finishing the book. I loved the descriptions of the Highlands. I loved Meadows mother and how she showed up to protect meadow from doing something stupid. Lots of great strong women characters. So happy when meadow finally found who she was.
Sherrie has that extraordinary talent to take you from your living room to another land without leaving your easy chair. She weaves exciting stories with fascinating characters. I enjoyed the Scottish vernacular.
A beautifully crafted, evocative story from Sherrie. Meadow’s complicated past has her cross Finn’s path and soon they have to consider where they stand with one another. Set in Scotland, the country becomes a character in her own right.
