The Great Divide: Walking the Continental Divide Trail

Rate this book
After hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, Tim Voors recounts the second of three Great thru-hikes across America. The Continental Divide Trail (or CDT, as it is known) is the longest trail, at 3100 miles or 5000 km, through any country in the World, renowned for being beautiful yet brutal―an endurance test requiring versatility, flexibility, and adaptability in the face of nature’s many whims.

Having read author Tim Voors' first book "The Great Alone: Walking the Pacific Crest Trail" I was immediately inclined to read his second one. Voors does a great job bringing the people and places to life that he encountered along his multi-month hike from north to south on the Continental Divide Trail. Voors is not only a skilled storyteller, but he's a talented illustrator. His drawings and photos further bring the journey to life. Excellent book, definitely recommend for my hiker friends and nature enthusiasts alike.
