Eon Warriors #3

Heart of Eon

Rate this book

Okay, maybe hijacking an alien commander’s warship wasn’t her best idea…

Genius computer geek Wren Traynor prefers her high-tech comp lab to socializing with people, and she definitely prefers it over crawling through the bowels of the huge Eon warship she’s hijacked. When Earth’s Space Corps blackmails her into this deadly mission, Wren will do anything to help her beloved sisters and save the Earth from invasion by the insectoid Kantos aliens. That includes entering into a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the tall, hunky, and seriously enraged Eon war commander who captains the Rengard...

War Commander Malax Dann-Jad is a born protector and has forged a successful career in service to the Eon Empire. Haunted by an early mission where he lost good warriors, he’s dedicated to protecting his ship and its crew. Especially since his warship is carrying a special, top-secret cargo. But one tiny, infuriating Terran puts all that at risk when she commandeers his ship and refuses to listen to reason!

When the ravenous Kantos set their sights on the Rengard - using sneaky, underhanded tactics - Malax finds himself with an armful of curvy woman. He and Wren must join forces to fight back, and are shocked at their improbable, intense attraction. But with lives at risk, both will learn that strength comes in more ways than one, and love can hit when you least expect it, and that in order to survive, you have to put everything on the line!

Don’t judge, I’ve read three of these in a day. Am I skimming a lot? Yes. But sometimes that’s all you need, some bad human/alien-action/adventure with cheesy lines and smut.

Heart Of Eon is book three in the Eon Warriors series by Anna Hackett.

Here we move onto Wren, the baby sisters, to Lara and Eve. Wren is not a warrior/soldier like her sisters. She’s a computer wiz/hacker in the family. That doesn’t stop Earth’s Corp from blackmailing her too and having her steal an Eon Warship full of Eon Warriors.

Wren is brave, bright, and a woman with heart. She’s doesn't kick ass like her sisters, but she can do things with a computer that most can’t.

Malax, War Commander of the Rengard, the ship that’s been hijacked by Wren. He needs to get control back of his ship even if he is intrigued by the small human who’s hiding on his ship and running rings around him and his crew.

I had a lot of fun with this one and I really like that we get a regular woman, one who has no special soldier training, becoming a mate to an Eon Warrior. I like Wren and that she is different from her sisters and determined to save Eve, even if it’s no longer needed. The way she sneaks onto the ship, takes control, and keeps the Eon Warriors running around, was a lot fun. Their is no shortage of action, battles, surprise’s, and fun banter. I enjoyed the banter between; Wren and Malax, which is a prelude to them hooking up and becoming mates. The romance was sweet and fun.

Heart Of Eon was another fabulous read in the series and I can’t wait for more. Anna Hackett is a must read for any Science Fiction Romance fans. She has a way of pulling you into the world, characters, story, and romance.

** This series should be read in order.

I was so looking forward to getting to read Wrens book as the idea of a computer geek hiding out onboard a space cruiser and taking control of its systems sounded absolutely preposterous and yet so very intriguing. This is actually quite a fun read and frequently had me smiling. Wren might not be all toned and kick ass but she's bright, brave and a woman with lots of heart. She will do anything for her sisters even if that means taking on an alien War Commander.
Malax needs back control of his ship although he's quite intrigued by the small human who is running rings around him and his crew. If I'm blunt I wasn't initially that impressed by Malax as right from the start he's mooning over Wren and getting distracting by her lips etc. I'm sorry but I prefer my heroes a little less sappy but luckily as the story progressed Malax definitely improved. As for the story oh my you are in for a real treat as unusual AI's and even an action packed space battle will have you gripped. There's a sweet ending to please fans of the series and a huge hint about how it could continue although for this reader it's obviously the King who I'd like to read more about. This book though is all about plucky Wren and her very own Warrior.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

I loved their banter the most. Wren was one badass! She single handedly hijacked one of the eon battleship and created havoc with the warrior crew for a week. She also saved hero many times. And He was an outward grumpy- inwards softie warrior.
The actions scenes and epilogue was very good! Anxiously waiting to see what happens next.

Wren and Malaz kept me in stitches. I love to laugh and I love wit and sarcasm. All are found here!

Great flow to the series and storyline is consistent. Unlike the other reads you will find a lot of humor here and a some heat too 😉

Not a 5 for me...which I am repeating myslef....but.....there is a feeling of I have read this before, yet I still found it quite good.

Happy reading,

Blurb tells you what you need to know - warrior and computer geek. Cat and mouse. Mouse finally gets caught. Cat and mouse bond and fight alien bugs. They mate and the three sisters get reunited all happily in love with their warriors. Another good storyline for the niche. Action + cheesy sexy times.

This concludes the three sister’ stories, and book four moves on to an unrelated human space captain and the second in command from book one. I’ve enjoyed the ride, but I think I’ll put the rest of this series on hold now that I know the core characters are all happily settled.

Wren Traynor is blackmailed by Earth’s Space Corps into using her hacker skills to hijack the Eon battlship Rengard, forcing the war commander of the vessel, Malax Dann-Jad, to meet with Earth's leadership who need help against the insectoid Kantos invasion. Earth needs to get one of the Eon leaders to come to Earth to discuss an alliance which requires the physical presence of an Eon to happen. Wren's mission is to divert the vessel to Earth to make that happen. Success will result in her sister being unconditionally freed from prison.

War Commander Malax has every intention of severely punishing the Earth female who has taken over his ship's computers regardless of his king's direction not to harm her in any way. No, this is personal. He let his crew down once in the past with dire results which is why not having control of his ship is hitting him so hard. He's been gentle with the elusive female who has been hiding in the ships ductwork but a approaching Kantos kill ship changes everything.

If he's not able to engage the Kantos vessel, all is lost. Time to up the ante to get his hands on Wren

* * * *

In this the third installment of the "Eon Warriors" series, the third and final Traynor sister, Wren, takes down another alpha alien. This can be read as a standalone and does include adult content scenes that compliment the story line vs being an active component of the story.

Wren & Malax. I loved the cat and mouse chase between the two. Nothing gives me the giggles more than strong Earth women bringing down big bad Alpha bad ass alien men in a brain vs brawn sort of way. Yup, intelligent females can be sassy and classy. 😉

Secondary characters. The crew of the Rengard are featured to various degrees. This series is now sustainable for the future as the author has included characters who can and will play a role in future installments. While I have my eye on King Gayel, the next installment will feature Brack & Davion. I can't wait !!!!!

One thing I want to comment on is that I can't help make a parallel between this series and the author's Hell Squad series. I threw in the towel on Hell Squad because it's been way too many stories of failure for the good guys. Holding their own at best but it's too depressing for me to continue reading as they lose, lose, lose. In this series the author has provided the reader (me) with the good guys holding their own against the bad guy elements who keep trying to do a takeover of Earth. I can get on board with that premise. Even if the good guys suffer a major defeat or loss, there's hope. Hope that good will ultimately prevail. I'm crossing my fingers that the author doesn't change that mindset, even if it's just my imagination, as this is a fun SciFi series that I'm a fan of.

Best of series so far: Geeky programmer falls for brawny warrior

Although I have been rather critical of the first two installments of the Eon Warriors for various reasons, amongst them the close resemblance of the set-up and backstory to that of Anna Carven’s Dark Planet Warriors and the repetetiveness with regard to some plot elements (particularly in book 2, Touch of Eon), I still felt a strong compulsion to get my hands on this story. Either because I am the world’s worst masochist or maybe because of Anna Hackett’s clever strategy of ensuring reader loyalty: though each book ends with a HEA for the couple in love, the two main protagonists for the next book and hints about the nature of their story are set up at the same time which makes it very difficult to resist them.

This was particularly the case with Wren, who is the youngest of the Traynor sisters and nothing like her two older siblings. She is not athletic and even less a soldier, but a computer geek with some impressive hacking skills. Like her sister Lara she gets conned by her government into trying to rescue their oldest sister Eve by capturing an Eon warship and delivering it to the Space Corps. She manages to get aboard an Eon warship and get a measure of control over it, much to the consternation of the commander of said warship, Malax Dann-Jad. He of course tries to wrest control back, but Wren manages to elude him (which only makes him more determined to capture her), and they begin an exciting game of cat and mouse…

I really liked that the dynamic between this couple was a bit different, that their sparring took place mostly on the intellectual level, by trying to outwit each other. They also had some of the best banter, with Wren being somewhat unfiltered in her observations about the world in general, the enumeration of a certain Eon warrior’s physical attributes and her personal issues and feelings.

There is also a new twist with the Helians and plenty of action and fights, as we have come to expect. This definitively is my favorite installment so far, also because it managed to break the mold of what was threatening to become a too formulaic set-up, so 4 ½ stars from me. In that vein I also hope that in the future we will maybe also get a story between an Eon female and a Terran male, though it’s not going to be the next one, Kiss of Eon.

Heart of Eon is the third book in the Eon Warriors series and what a ride this Sci Fi romance is. I love that Anna can write any genre and still make a great story for readers to get lost in. I have read a lot of her books and can say I have enjoyed each and every one.

Blackmailed into doing someone else's dirty work Wren finds more than she bargained for when she steals a warship full of warriors in order to save her sisters. What ensues is an action packed fun tale.

It was good to re-read this series and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time.

HEART OF EON was a fun read with plenty of action and a hot romance. The Eon Warrior series hasn't been my favorite and I can't quite put my finger on why but they're still an easy read. I really enjoyed Wren and all her spunk; she's not afraid of anything and even when her confidence isn't the highest, she still refuses to give up. Wren isn't a soldier like her older sisters but she has her own inner strength because she's willing to do anything to protect those she cares about.

Malax Dann-Jad is your typical stoic, alpha War Commander and he's equal parts frustrated and intrigued by Wren. At first, he can't believe that an inferior Terran human is the one behind the mess on his ship but he quickly learns that Wren is anything but inferior. While I liked Malax, he didn't really feel any different then the previous War Commander heroes we've seen. The Eon warriors are all just a little too similar to make them feel like new and fresh characters. That being said, I did love how much he supported Wren and how he knew he could count on her when needed.

Sassy was probably my favorite character and she had me laughing out loud with her comments. Overall, a quick and easy read!

Start with Book 1 in the series. Though I think I like this one the best.
Malax is a cool guy and treats Wren wonderfully. There are no stupid misunderstandings. He has a job to do, and distraction could endanger the lives of others.
Excellent action and love scenes. The AI character is delightful, and the way she and Wren interact to be effective during action scenes is well-done. Wren might not be a physical badass, but she has weapons of her own, and plenty of ingenuity.
I received a review copy.

Since Eve's book (#1) I already needed Wren's book. Something about her character and personality seemed so appealing. Wren is more a computer geek than military badass like her sisters. In fact this book proved she's even more of a badass which I didn't think was possible. Space Corps is once again manipulating the sisters to do their bidding all while basically blackmailing them. Wren is called in to hijack an Eon vessel and hijack it she does. In fact it seems like for days Wren is a menace to War Commander Malax. She pushes all his buttons and then some but once he gets a look at this Terran (from Earth) he's struck. In fact he would never admit it, but you can tell he admires her before they even meet. Eon warriors are not known to lose, at anything. That she takes over his ship completely does not bode well for them particularity when he tries to tell her, her mission is moot because her sisters are safe and happy with their mates. Wren refuses to believe him and this puts a wrench in both their lives, then again without her interference and the threats it poses there would be no story.

Sci-Fi fans and Anna Hackett fans will be extremely pleased, .

Like her sisters, Wren is chosen to bond with Malax's symbiote but what's even cooler is Wren is chosen by a symbiote and they become one. This is unknown of for Terrans but Wren is not a typical Earthling. Through her technology she is able to bond with her beloved tablet, who names herself 'Sassy.' Together these two are phenomenal and I wish Sassy came out more, I think there were a lot more situations she could have come in handy if she just took charge. But she works together with Wren and they are unstoppable. The two basically save the day multiple times. Sassy is just a super fun addition, that's more of a invisible force. At one point she tells the sisters she's so happy to be one of the girls, I kinda lost it, like it was just too cute and funny. Throw in the addition of Eve's pet Shaggy and I was in a happy place lol

The one thing I prayed for in this story was for the girls to tell off or at least make the Space Corps sweat. After all they did to them, for selfish reasons, the ways these girls were manipulated and used was disgusting. It's all politics and boy do I hate that lol. Unfortunately I did not get my wish and in fact the three never communicate with space Corps as least where readers can see. It was disappointing but I'm so in love with this book, I will still hold out hope they get theirs in the end.

I was thinking as the 3 book progressed this would be a trilogy but almost at the end we get an intro to some new characters or a least two characters who I have a feeling not only deserve but NEED their own book. I'm looking forward to it. If there is one thing I've learned reading Anna Hackett, this woman can write a kick ass female who is more than equal to their warrior mates. I cannot wait for more and I'm sure before the year is up, I'll have many many reads from this author. Can't wait.

I have waited this book eagerly and hopefully not too long, as I read the two previous books in this series just few days ago.
It is the perfect action-packed-big-protector-sassy-heroine read.
Mrs Anna Hackett has created a great couple with Malax as the perfect champion, never he tried to overpower Wren even when she turned his ship upside-down. He guards and defends even against herself, plus he does not fight his feelings when he understands what they meant.
Wren is like I do prefer my heroine, clever and resourceful, not necessarily a skilled trooper but someone who fights with her own devices and does not give up.
Sure, it is such en entertaining thing to see some women kick alpha male’s asses but I adore when they butt head instead of clashing weapons, when they complete another rather than being similar.
Of course their meeting is incredibly hot, they clash but they surrender to their attraction, attraction which evolve with these Eon Warriors quickly to something deeper and stronger.
I adored this read with a little less frenzy battles and more interacting moments.
Wren rocks in her own way and Malax takes the plunge hard.
Can’t wait to see the Eon Warriors and their King falling for the Earthlings.

Love it! Wren is an obnoxious character at the beginning of the book but at the middle she change from a baby boo boo to a fierce, loyal woman that fight to protect Malax and the warship she came to hijack, even if she's not really a warrior like her sisters!
P. S. Poor Brack, he's the next!

Best series by Anna Hackett ever. Great universe building, great characters, creepy bad aliens. This was another great book in the series. I’m somewhat sad that eve, Lara and wren’s stories are done, but I’m already impatient to read the next two.

This book was for the baby sister of the family. In book one, middle sister Eve was sent to kidnap War Commander Davion. In book two, oldest sister Lara was sent to steal precious gemstones and War Commander Caze was sent to stop her. Both sisters ended up mated to their war commanders and had to save baby sister Wren, who was sent on her own mission. She was said to hijack the ship run by War Commander Malax.

Like with the other books, they had to face and fight off steady attacks from the bag aliens that have been trying to take over earth and Eon. Basically they want the whole galaxy. And during the course of all of this fighting and battling the bugs, Wren and Malax become mated. And we see that all the sisters are happy, mated, and right where they are supposed to be. The series continues as Earth and Eon continue to fight against the bug aliens. But I’m not sure if I’m going to continue along. I am curious to see the king find his mate, but at the end of the day, the books all end up being pretty much the same thing and it’s a little repetitive by this point.

Heart of Eon is the third book in Anna Hackett’s marvelous space opera romance Eon Warriors series. It also feels like it wraps up what I sincerely hope is just the first arc of the series, as these first stories have featured the Traynor sisters, Eve in Edge of Eon, Lara in Touch or Eon, and now Wren in Heart of Eon.

The Traynor sisters were manipulated and coerced by the Terran Space Corps to conduct extremely covert and highly illegal missions in Eon space. The sisters have all been caught between huge rocks and multiple hard places.

When the Terrans made first contact with the Eons, the Terrans acted like superior assholes. This had multiple problems and consequences, besides being just plain rude and stupid. First, the Terrans were far from the superior force. The Eons were light years ahead – and not inclined to put up with a bunch of idiots. Eon space closed itself to Terra, and were just fine with making their entire sector a no-fly zone. The Eons didn’t need the Terrans one little bit.

But not the other way around. The Terrans, still getting their space legs, are now under attack by the insectoid Kantos. The Kantos have a history of literally chewing planets up and spitting out the dead husks, and Earth is next. The Terrans are desperate to get the assistance of the Eons they spurned decades ago.

Their methodology is highly questionable, but the results they’ve achieved by the end of Heart of Eon are hard to argue with. Space Corps “persuaded”, for extremely manipulative definitions of the word persuade, the Traynor sisters to secretly enter Eon space and 1) kidnap a leading Eon starship Commander, 2) steal Eon sacred relics and 3) hijack an Eon warship.

Heart of Eon is the hijacking story, and as the story opens ace computer hacker Wren Traynor is in the bowels of an Eon warship, locked in a virtual battle for control of his ship with Eon War Commander Malax Dann-Jad.

It’s extremely debatable who is winning at this point. Malax has managed to shut down the ship’s faster-than-light (FTL) engines, but Wren is in control of navigation so they are still heading towards her assigned rendezvous point – albeit very, very slowly.

But there are a couple of things that Malax knows but Wren doesn’t. Or rather one bit of information that he’s revealed plenty of times but that Wren doesn’t believe, and one Eon military secret that he is desperate to protect from both Wren and their mutual enemy, the Kantos.

Wren refuses to believe that either, let alone both of her career-oriented military minded sisters have mated. She is particularly disbelieving that they have each become mated to Eon warriors, but they have. Those romances are the stories in the first two books in the series.

Which means that Malax is under orders not to harm Wren. That he’s secretly enjoying the cat and mouse game that they are playing with his ship is something he hasn’t admitted to himself.

He is also laboring under the misapprehension that the experimental nature of his ship is a secret from both the Kantos and from Wren, in spite of her rather effective exploitation of every single hole in his security network.

He’s wrong on both counts. Wren discovers the Helian symbionts secured in his ship when she hides in “their” hidden room from Malax – and one of the symbionts decides to merge with her tablet computer. The resulting entity, who appropriately adopts the name “Sassy” for herself (not itself, definitely herself), bonds with both the computing power of the Terran tablet and with Wren herself.

When the Kantos find the erratically piloted Eon Warship meandering in space, it’s clear from their first salvo that they are aware of the nature of the experiment – and that they plan on capturing the Helians at all costs.

Malax and Wren (and Sassy) will need to join forces to keep all of them out of the Kantos’ grasp. It won’t be easy. But it will allow them to finally give in to the simmering attraction between them.
It’s just going to take a little bit of help from their friends – including the Terran Space Corps.

Escape Rating A-: This entire series has been an absolute shipload of fun, and Heart of Eon is no exception. I love space opera type SFR, and if you do too, this series is a real treat!

Part of what I liked about this particular entry is that Wren is different from her sisters. They are all kickass heroines, but they are thankfully not all heroines in the same mold. Both Eve and Lara were military-types, so they quite literally kicked ass – and it was pretty awesome.

But all women are not alike, not even all sisters are alike. Wren is the different one among the Traynor sisters, but she’s different in a way that’s nearer and dearer to my own heart, as Wren is the geeky nerd in the family. Not that she’s not extremely capable and effective, but her effectiveness is completely different.

That she’s also not the tall, muscular, athletic type of heroine just makes her that much easier to identify with. She’s small and soft and curvy – which gives her a bit of a familiar-type of self-doubt. At the same time, she’s an absolute genius at her computer skills, and rightfully both proud of and confident in those skills. She’s still a heroine, but she’s relatable in her heroine-ness.

Her differences fascinate Malax, who falls for her exactly as she is. And accepts her exactly as she is, including her need to put her skills and talents to work in their fight against the Kantos. She has a job to do, and he doesn’t protest at her doing it – a difficult thing for his protective nature.

But Heart of Eon definitely feels like Wren’s show. And Sassy’s. Definitely Sassy’s. Sassy saves the day with a little bit of help from her Terran and Eon friends. Sassy is just a terrific character, in every sense of the word character. I hope we see her again.

Speaking of again, this series could have ended here. The Traynor sisters have all found their happy ever afters and they’ve accomplished their mission of getting the Eons on board for fighting against the Kantos WITH the Terrans.

But the ending of Heart of Eon foreshadows a new romance brewing between the captain of the Terran ship that helped save the day and the Eon Commander who can’t seem to stop himself from sparring with her, verbally if not otherwise. Yet.

I hope we see that romance, and the future of the Eon alliance with Terra in future installments of this series!

The youngest Traynor sister Wren is not a kickass fighter like her older sisters. Instead she's geeky and klutzy but like her sisters, tenacious. The ways she played cat and mouse on board the Eon ship she "captured" was fun. And the alien tech that bonded with her was suitably sassy and so cool. I'd love one myself!

Another fun read with Wren and Sassy practically saving the day. And we're also introduced to some new characters that I'm sure will be featured in the following books and the wider universe.

I'm 3 books in and giving up.

The characters and plot are copy paste with nothing moving forward and zero character development.

Change their names and settings but it's still the same characters doing nothing.

The FMC in books 1 and 2 are identical diwn to the words they use. All of the MMCs are the exact boring same and by book 3 I was desperate for something new but 77% in and it's the same dull insta-love carbon copy story again.

I'm giving up. Shame.

Book three of the Eon Warriors series. This one is about Wren Traynor. She's the nerdy sister of the three who is not too much like them. Instead of being athletic like her sisters, she's a techie, great on computers, great at hacking. Her job is to hijack the War Commander Malax's ship and deliver it to an agreed upon location. She's on this job because she's under the impression she's going to save her sister Eve. Anyone who has read any Anna Hackett book will instantly know Wren and Malax will be together. So you just sit back and enjoy the ride. I was looking forward to this book a little bit more than the others because i felt i connected a little more with Wren. Myself being a nerd, not very athletic, and into computers, i was looking forward to how Wren would use those computer skills in this book. Unfortunately, i felt the story did not touch that much on her and her computer skills. There were definitely elements where she was interacting with technology, sure. But it wasn't as much sitting down and coding or hacking as i was expecting.

However, i did think this particular story, and the uniqueness of Wren and something happening to her.... could have been huge! There were something that happened to her that was extremely unique, at least in terms of those helians and stuff we know about so far. I could see a huge potential just focusing on that for several books to be honest. Something i always gripe about in my head... these books are too short. So although there was so much potential there with that, i felt it wasn't up-played as much as it should have been.

I didn't feel that Malax had that much of a unique personality. I didn't really see anything that defined him as his own character, other than his name is different. That was a little bit of a let down but ultimately, these books aren't meant for the kind of deep character development i am perhaps into. As always, the steamy scenes were great. I enjoyed their budding romance throughout the book.

I almost wanted to stop reading it though to give myself a break. Those bug enemies, the Kantos, are extremely annoying. The fact that their strategy of fighting is to just continue pouring in Kantos soldiers to overwhelm them means... you guessed it.. just a ton of the same type of action fighting Kantos over and over and over again. I'd say there was just too much action scenes fighting them! It got to be annoying to be honest. And all three books so far are like that. So it's repetitive and boring in that respect and because of this... i think i will take a break from the Eon series. Get some other books in in-between. I will definitely continue the series though as i really enjoy the world and the space theme in general.

I've given the book 4 stars out of 5 because i felt Malax wasn't very unique a character, the special thing that happened to Wren wasn't played up as much as it could have, and the Kantos scenes were a little too much and too long.

also last lil bit.. i love Sassy!!!

So this started out ok. We got some moves, some traction and some action from the get go annnnd then the clichés started showing up… Not only that but they repeated in the other books as well and when you listening them back to back they are glaringly obvious. And the list goes as following:

- h shows moxy and goes toe to toe with the H thus impressing these alien species that think themselves superior.
- h & H are forced to spend some time in confined or/and constant danger circumstances that induce the state of constant adrenaline flight-or-fight existence thus making the characters bond in now this constant struggle to survive and save one another from peril.
- h almost dies a few times forcing H to realize how awful it would have been to lose this fascinating Terran and making them re-evaluate their career sole focus life.
- h laments her previous homelife with alcoholic mother and vows never to be as week or take down by soft emotions. Gets taken down by soft emotions by falling in luuuuv.
- H almost dies and everyone freaks out but everything turns out very happy singing in the end when the h and H find out all the near death events triggered their mating and now they gonna be happy forevaaaa…. Imagine that.
- One dimensional villains shaped in the most hated shape know to men – bugs. And thus making their attempt at Universe domination and Earth destruction all that much more easily hated – like destroying the Earth was not evil enough. But making the main characters kill them off throughout the books feels all the less conflicting to enjoy if they are nasty bugs don’t ya know.

All in all what start off as ok turned out pretty repetitive and cliché riddled and killed off any enjoyed one might have developed for this world or sympathy for the characters. Just made everything seem so yuck. Gonna be avoiding anything coming in next for this world.

(Worst were in book 3 with the standard h with body image issues and seeing every other female in vicinity as competition and having to tear them down mentally to feel better about oneself – woman power is trumped by this character's insecurities. Only when she is bestowed the everlasting love, affection, devotion and worship of the H does the h feel like she might be ok in her skin. Chick was chosen by an alien symbiot to be her companion of sorts, she managed to stow away on an alien ship and avoid capture for weeks not to mention how much of a tech genius she is and she gets taken down by the former remarks of her limited ex, WOMAN KNOW AND LOVE THYSELF ALREADY. JEEEEEZ).

Wren the youngest of the Traynor sisters has been recruited by the Space Corps to hijack the Eon warship the Rengard along with War Commander Malax Dan-Jad and his entire crew. Wren only agreed to do this to protect her older sisters Eve and Lara. Earth's officals thought it would be a good idea if they could convince the Eon's King to help them in the war with the invading Kantos. Wren is unaware that both her sisters have been rescued and are now mated to Eon Warriors. She has managed to evade the Rengard warriors sent to search the ship for her thanks to her superior hacking abilities and her trusty tablet but everything is about to change as her taking control of the ship systems has left them vulnerable to attack from the Kantos who desperately want to get their hands on the Eon symbionts. Wren now realizes her error and is giving back control when she finds out that the warship is powered by symbionts and the Kantos has breached the ships defenses and after her accidental run in with Malax in his cabin in which both of them found it hard to fight off their attraction she has to stop the Kantos at all costs. If Wren and Malax cannot stop the Kantos from achieving their goal nobody will be safe. Love this series I was looking forward to reading Wren's story and I thank Anna Hackett for the gift of the review book. I also bought another copy for my library. Totally awesome read, highly entertaining. I am also really happy that the series does not end there.

Malax/Wren

Eon Warriors is a good SF space opera/ romance. At the moment I don’t think that it is as good as GG but the characters are still developing. Not sure how the first three pairs will be incorporated into the following stories which is one of the things that makes GG so good! However, EW is full of action and romance (definitely 18+). This is the youngest Traynor sister Wren’s story. The Earth government doesn’t come off looking too good in this series.p so far! Firstly, Eve was set up to go to prison so that they could blackmail her into kidnapping War Commander Davion Thann-Eon. Then Lara was ordered to steal the Sacred Stones of the Eons and met Chief of Security Caze Van-Jad. Well we all know how those great ideas panned out. Now Eve and Lara’s youngest sister has been pulled into the plot. Apparently the government thinks that attacking the Eon Warriors and sacred sites is the way to forge an alliance with the Eon against the, insect-like, Kantos! Now Wren has to hijack the Eon warship Rengard and fly it to a rendezvous point given her by the Space Corp. what she doesn’t know is that the Eon/Earth alliance has already been established. The old Eon king has died and the new, young, King Gayel Solann-Eon has already changed their future path. Of course, Malax and his crew keep trying to wrest control of Rengard back from Wren and, unfortunately, the stopping and starting brings Rengard to the attention of the Kantos.
A good series!

Wren's hijacking shenanigans were mentioned in a previous book and, well, they intrigued me. Those Eon warriors are big, bad, and kinda badass, so the idea of a little human woman sneaking in and taking control of a warship from under a War Commander's nose made me laugh.

Wren certainly lived up to the hype. She's smart and sassy (as is her newly acquired friend) and she kind of delights in irritating Malax. She calls him WC, for Pete's sake. HA. Admittedly, her actions are a lot less delightful when the Kantos try to join the fun. Wren's fiddling with the ship's systems has left them not as able to defend themselves as usual. Which isn't great when the bad aliens appear.

But, as you might have guessed, Wren and Malax make a formidable team once they stop pushing against one another. Wren's got the smarts and Malax has the military know-how. Also, they send sparks up when they're near one another. Not literally.

Danger (on a cosmic scale), sexy times (on a more intimate scale), brilliant, sassy computers and the brilliant sassy lady who interacts with it, a glowering mountain of an alien War Commander, and a sisterly reunion. Oh, and let's not forget a shipful of cocky human soldiers. GOOD TIMES.
