Storm of Eon is book seven in the Eon Warriors series by Anna Hackett.
I love coming back to the world of the Eon Warriors. It’s got action, adventure, and romance. Hackett knows how to blend the perfect combination of world-building and character growth.
This time around we spend our time on Earth. Security Commander Sabin Solann-Ath is a Eon Warrior sent to Earth to help weapons scientist Dr. Finley Delgado get a special defense weapon operational to protect Earth from the Kantos invasion.
Storm of Eon is another fabulous read. I was hooked and enjoyed this one. Finley is smart, determined, and not afraid to defend herself. I instantly liked Finley. Sabin is a hunky warrior determined to fight his growing feelings to Finley. I liked his protectiveness and his drive to fight his feelings. The chemistry is great between Finley and Sabin. I really enjoyed their budding romance, their determination to get the job done, and that they weren’t afraid to die together.
Storm of Eon is another action-packed science fiction romance. Can’t wait for the next novel.

Good. Not excellent, but good.

So while I didn’t love how this one started (Finley was just too annoying in the beginning), I enjoyed it a lot more than I have some of the previous books. The story was not as repetitive as they had started to become. With this book, we get a new and exciting addition to this saga. I did not 100% love the romance between these two - I kind of thought Sabin had a lot more chemistry with Kiara - but in the end, the made a sweet pair.
Speaking of Kaira, her insta-mating with Thane was wild. I can’t wait to read about those two.

I truly enjoy how Anna skillfully tells stories in different genres, engaging readers and drawing them into well-developed worlds. After reading many of her books, I can say that each one has been a pleasure.
Storm of Eon is the seventh book in the exciting Eon Warriors series, and it offers an engaging Sci-Fi romance that keeps you hooked.
In this story, the Kantos are sabotaging their ships and helions, which threatens the alliance between different species. This leads to a gripping saga full of surprises and high-stakes drama, taking the characters—and readers—on a thrilling journey.
It was a joy to revisit this series, and I found myself just as captivated as before, enjoying every exciting moment again.

How I loved the change of scene. The Eon Warriors visiting Earth, so having to confront a different way of life.
And like always it is non stop action interspaced with hot moments and sweet recollection times.
Sabin is the typical warrior, determined to never have a mate, not because he is arrogant but is afraid of not deserving her. He fears he might be too much for a woman, his specificities rendering him dangerous. Why he hold back when from the very beginning he knows he recognizes Finley for whom she is for him.
Finley hides her romantic heart behind a gruff exterior, loosing herself in the sole thing bringing her solace her work. Yet while she is a bit put out by her instant chemistry with Sabin, she quickly accepts it for what it is and chooses to enjoy it at its fullest for how long it might last.
What a ride they have until their HEA, from the Australian desert to the confines of space, they are in for a bumpy journey.
And oh my ... the glimpse for the next book, I am already on pins and needles.

Four and a half
I love being back in the world of the Eon warrior's although hasten to say the majority of this particular story takes place here on Earth. Security expert Sabin previously had a virtual meeting with Tehran scientist Finley and to say they didn't exactly hit it off is most definitely an understatement ! Now he's on Earth to help fine tune the weapon system that is Finleys little baby. However the much reviled and feared Kantos are aware that the new weapon could be a game changer and are sending in assassin's to stop it being used !
I do love these stories with their mad mixture of evil aliens, hot romance and rip roaring adventures. Even though I pointed out that most of the book centres on events here on Earth believe me this is far from tame or boring.
Finley has no time for romance and I thought it a shame that she couldn't initially believe that she was attractive. Sabin is exactly what she ( every woman ? ) needs though as he's intelligent, brave and without a doubt a hunk ! Yet he has doubts and fears of his own to overcome and no I won't say but I really liked that he's allowed to not always be perfect. The action when it came was edge of the seat stuff but it wasn't an easy ending as the couple truly get tested. My only tiny niggle is the weapons that the Eons symbiots can create as for this reader they are perhaps a tad too far but it didn't stop me really enjoying this book . I suspect the Eons doctor might get a happy ending soon but as always it's their King I want to know more about but whoever grabs this authors muse will definitely be someone I want to read about.

Not bad. Not bad at all. I just didn’t walk away satisfied.
I enjoyed Finley and Sabin.
I wasn’t sure how I’d feel coming in because while Ms.Hackett’s books are almost guaranteed a certain level of quality you don’t always find out there, the last few I’ve read have been really hit and miss for me.
More miss than hit. Of late.
In the last “Team 52” book I didn’t feel their chemistry’s all and their beginning seemed to start and then stop then start again , like some one caught I rush hour traffic, then suddenly it’s was like they were fast tracked on the autobahn in Germany and they’ve taken off and I’ve all “I Love You’s” and worrying about their future. While they were telling at the end saying they always knew they were “meant to be” I was left scratching my head wondering what the hell just happened .
Then when I tried two from the latest series “Norcross Security”, I just couldn’t connect w/out liking the MC’s. Especially in the second book where the heroine is far to willing to play the fool in a “friendship” that saw its expiration date expire a very long time ago. And the choices she made knowing her life was in danger to due said “friends” actions was pure classic TSTL.
But here ?
I had a good time with Sabin and Finley,which I dearly needed.
Had read a few books of late that had started me down the road to a real book funk. Especially the last two.
One an older historical romance where the H decides he wants to “keep” the English woman he’s just met and supposedly it’s the highlander way to keep her confused while you evade her questions and then manipulate the poor naïve girl into marrying you when a priest shows up. Between how confused you have her and how naïve she is she walks away not even knowing she’s married and he doesn’t have the balls to tell her.
Dear lord.
I quit that in frustration. Then a a book set in space where the heroine is soo perfect,kind,intelligent,strong and charming,she never puts a foot wrong. Her and her H then fall into each other soo perfectly and easily all the heroines from every Hallmark movie might just die from envy. With the one true sex scene so bland ,her waking up the next day to experience her new lover being able to blend into his surroundings in his sleep was the most memorable part. Ha! So perfect it was bland and kinda Meh by the end.
Or at least it was for me.
So I needed this . Anna delivered.
But
I needed more.
I was hungry for a meal and I feel like I only got a snack.
I needed both Finley and Sabin to have more emotional range.
More depth. Finley seemed limited to her work,hurting over painful things from her past or lusting over Sabin. While Sabin was just either working to protect Finley or worrying over loosing control over his abilities,while lusting over Finley. And other than being attacked and getting kidnapped that was basically it.
Now yeah, that was overly simplified,sure. But there wasn’t much more to it. I needed more. Something where we get to see them truly connect in ways that have nothing to do with work or lust. Nothing to do with survival on the run. Some moments where we get to see them just laugh and smile and share something deep and meaningful. Maybe they take a break in her work when she’s stressed before the Kantos attack again, and they talk about important memories from their pasts as they stare up into the beautiful Australian sky.
I don’t know,just something more.
Good and definitely needed and would happily recommend. But easily forgotten .

Ahh, yes. A prickly, work-a-holic scientist and the locked-down-tight warrior who absolutely isn't going to give into his desires at any time. Until, you know, he does. Yep, Sabin and Finley are both extremely dedicated to their jobs and their dedication has them giving off mixed signals because while they may want to explore this explosive things that is simmering between them, they both think they need to avoid the distraction their attraction brings to the table.
HAHA. Right. In the end, there's nothing that can keep an Eon Warrior from following his heart. And Finley trusts Sabin jussssssst enough to let herself fall before she even realizes that's a possibility. And, sure, she expects nothing but heartache out of it, but once these two start talking, things get straightened out.
Meanwhile, the Kantos are continuing their relentless drive to conquer Earth and all its inhabitants. Finley and Sabin are working on a weapon to keep them from doing just that and they're *thisclose* to getting it down. Which is precisely when things go sideways, of course.
Assassins, dangerous situations, steamy kisses, and another alien/human couple who are determined to save the people they feel responsible for. *thumbs up*

She doesn’t want Security Commander Sabin to invade her lab because he will be a distraction. While working tirelessly to develop the weapon and fend off Kantos assassins, Sabin and Finley grow closer together with each day that passes.
I really enjoyed this one. Finley was a smart, determined scientist who has had a traumatic past. While she may be a scientist, she wasn’t afraid to defend herself of Sabin if necessary. Finley was just a great heroine who I instantly liked and want to see more of. Sabin was a hunky, alien warrior who was determined to fight his feelings for Finley. I love a protective hero who is fighting his feelings.
These two had a lot of chemistry and were a great couple. I loved that they weren’t afraid to die together if it meant they didn’t have to part. Anna Hackett does an amazing job at creating emotional characters and scenes that just keep you hooked to the story. Also, I am eagerly waiting for the next book after that ending.

What an adventure!
I just love the Eon Warriors and who isn’t interested in a brilliant cranky scientist? This book brought both of those together for a cracking good time! Finley is charged with making a weapon to protect Earth from the evil Krantos. And Sabine is the warrior assigned to help her. They immediately have a sizzling connection but Sabine tries to fight it. Throw in Krantos constantly trying to kill our heroine and you have thrills that just don’t quit. This was an amazing thrill ride and I can’t wait for the next Eon Warrior book!
I just love the Eon Warriors and who isn’t interested in a brilliant cranky scientist? This book brought both of those together for a cracking good time! Finley is charged with making a weapon to protect Earth from the evil Krantos. And Sabine is the warrior assigned to help her. They immediately have a sizzling connection but Sabine tries to fight it. Throw in Krantos constantly trying to kill our heroine and you have thrills that just don’t quit. This was an amazing thrill ride and I can’t wait for the next Eon Warrior book!

I enjoy Hackett’s Space Opera and Contemporary Action series. I recently purchased several audiobooks in the EON warriors series and so am listening and rereading through the series again. I finished reading STORM OF EON and again enjoyed the imagination and kick a$$ action. The series does contain more detailed sexy scenes than I prefer so I skim past them (which I find easier to do when reading than when listening). For this reason, (only) I think I prefer reading rather than listening to this series.

Together the king of EON’s Empire and earth’s defense leaders have developed an alliance, focusing their efforts to successfully fight their common enemy, the Kantos, an insectoid specie which literally seeks out other planet populations to serve as their food source. The Kantos has repeatedly attacked the EON Empire and it’s now beginning to attack earth, as well.
Space Corp’s weapons scientist in charge of the StarStorm defense (laser projected space-net satellite) project, Dr Finley Delgado/FMC, has been temporarily assigned to work with EON weapons expert, EON Security Commander Sabin Solann-Ath/MMC of the warship Rengard. Dr Finley is a genius with weapons systems but she isn’t political nor does she like to waste time on non-essentials. She’s known as Devil Delgado. But Dr Delgado doesn’t intimidate EON Security Commander Sabin - who has been tasked to both work with and protect Finley. As they work (and end up fighting their common enemy, the Kantos, together) a mutual respect grows followed by attraction.

1) The Eon Warrior series - the characters, settings, and story arc as imagined by Anna Hackett reminds me a bit of SG-1, a televised program I loved. The tone in this series is light rather than dark. Hackett’s male and female characters are strong, resilient, loyal and brave. Generally, the action moves quickly and I seldom get bored.
2) STORM OF EON can be read as a standalone title (with no cliffhanger ending) however an over-reaching story arc was begun in bk#1 continues throughout the series, plus book #1 is particularly fun.
3) Readers who enjoy Action-Adventure Space Opera Romance but are unfamiliar with Anna Hackett novels may wish to check out the Eon Warriors series (think Star Trek or SG-1 with added steamy scenes & strong language). I have already purchased the other books in the EON WARRIORS series and look forward to reading the next book soon.

There’s a very old Terran saying about not judging a book by its cover. But that’s just what Dr. Finley Delgado does when the Eon Warriors come to her research station to “help” her with the defense grid/weapon that she is developing for Earth.
Finley is just sure that the big, brawny Eon Warriors are only going to get in the way of her finishing the project. Even under the best of circumstances, Finley works better alone. Other people, even other scientists and engineers, just can’t keep up with her. Attempting to get them up to speed only slows her down.
And time is of the essence as this seventh entry in the terrific Eon Warriors series begins. The dreaded Kantos are on their way to Earth to strip it like a plague of intergalactic locusts before Finley’s weapon is operational.
Before the Terrans can get fully up to speed on assisting the Eon Empire with wiping the Kantos out of the galaxy.
But the Eon Warriors are all big, brawny and distracting. Finley is absolutely certain that anyone with that much brawn can’t possibly have all that much brain. And she really doesn’t need the compelling distraction from her work that Security Commander Sabin Solann-Ath is going to be.
It’s only after the Kantos send assassins into her highly secured facility with specific orders to eliminate Finley that she is forced to admit that, as much of a distraction as Sabin oh-so-definitely is, he’s also exactly who and what she needs to keep her alive AND help her finish the weapon in time.
The only problem is that Sabin isn’t just a distraction for Finley. She’s every bit as much a distraction for him, no matter how dangerous their situation or how very little time they have left.
Escape Rating A-: I love the Eon Warriors. Honestly, I at least like all of this author’s work, but her space opera-type science fiction romances have a special place in my heart, and Storm of Eon is no exception.
This series started off with the edge-of-the-seat SFR action/adventure romance of Edge of Eon, and the world developed for this series just gets more fascinating as it goes. (It is possible to read the series in any order, but it’s more fun if you start at the beginning!)
One of the fun things about this series is that there’s just this tiny element of the “Mars needs women” trope that works really well. Not that the Eons are Martians, and not that they actually NEED Earth.
The Eons have been exploring the galaxy for centuries, they don’t need any technological advances from us. But we provide them with a couple of things that their own society seems to have lost along the way.
In the fight with the Kantos, the humans are the plucky underdogs. The Eons have been on top for so long that they don’t really know how to come from behind. Humans have been on the back foot in fighting the Kantos from the very beginning, and we just keep coming up with weird, wacky and desperate ways to stay one step ahead – even if we have to come from behind.
The Terrans, out of desperate necessity, think outside of a box that the Eons have been contentedly ensconced in for, probably, eons. Their society is a bit on the rigid and stratified side.
That rigid stratification has led to an unfortunate side effect. Eons are only naturally fertile with their fated mates. They’re having an increasingly difficult time finding them – or they were until they met us – so they’ve been making do with test tubes – so to speak. The intermarriages between the Eons and the Terrans, starting at the very top of their society, are changing both worlds.
But this story, like many of this author’s romances, features a desperate fight for survival and a couple of the people fighting for that survival who are also battling an unexpected and initially unwelcome attraction for each other.
Both Finley and Sabin are convinced that they are not worthy of being loved, for reasons that make perfect sense in their respective societies but totally collapse when they meet each other.
It’s easy to understand why Finley has little belief that any man could actually want her. Unfortunately, not just for her but for all of us. Beauty standards for women seem to get narrower all the time, and Finley isn’t petite and willowy and is never going to be. She’s tall and strong and beautifully proportioned for the body that she has. It’s just not the kind of body that is considered to be beautiful
In addition, Finley has the personality of a velociraptor. (Not quite, but close.) The character she seriously reminds me of is Rodney McKay from Stargate: Atlantis. They’re both certified geniuses in multiple fields, neither of them works well with others, they suffer fools not at all, they make their minions cry on a regular basis and they are arrogant and abrasive to the max because they both know that they are the only person who can possibly save the day. Because they have before and will again.
The thing is, all of those characteristics are considered what a genius is due when they are in a male package, but get criticized and beaten down at every turn when a female displays the exact same behavior.
And Finley isn’t willing to be anyone’s pity fuck, no matter how much she’d like Sabin to do her in pretty much every way possible.
Sabin’s problem is a bit different. He’s as handsome – and arrogant and sometimes overbearing – as any of his brethren, but he holds a secret that makes him afraid of any emotional involvement.
His physiological responses to stimuli, to pain and especially pleasure, are too sensitive – and even more so when enhanced by the symbiont that is part of all of the Eon Warriors. It means that Sabin has the equivalent of an addictive personality – just ramped up to the max. He can get lost in any kind of pleasure, whether that’s delicious food, intoxicating drink or drugs, or sex and the endorphins that come from love.
His father became an addict to those sensations, and Sabin is afraid that he’ll go down the same path if he lets himself get involved with Finley.
They are afraid of each other, afraid for each other, and deathly – and correctly – afraid that if they can’t keep their shit together their distraction is going to get a whole lot of people killed. And that even if they succeed in powering up the weapon their careers are going to wrench them apart.
But Finley’s job is to save at least this day for Earth. Even if she has no hope that tomorrow will take care of itself. That Sabin and Finley find a way to each other past their fears makes the romance of this entry in the series every bit as pulse-pounding as the impending Kantos invasion. But a whole lot more fun!

Sabin Solann-Ath and Dr. Finley Delgado are both working together at Space Corps Headquarters in Houston, Texas. She has been working hard on finishing the StarStorm array, which would create an impenetrable net around earth using satellites. This array is important because it keeps Earth from being invaded by the Kantos, an alien race of bug creatures that want to use Earth as their new feeding grounds. Sabin is part of a race of Eon warriors, who are invested in helping Earth repel these invading aliens. Finley is an intelligent scientist who is hyper-focused on completing the array, while Sabin is an intelligent warrior intent on protecting Finley and helping her succeed.
In an Eon Warrior book, we know that 1) many aliens will die, 2) the protagonists will be in danger and have to fight multiple times, 3) they will somehow end up captured by said alien race and escape to a different planet, 4) someone will fall in love/find their mate and 5) there will be sex. It sounds formulaic, and is to a certain degree, but each of these stories is different enough to sound somewhat fresh. For instance, in this book, several warriors end up on Earth—in Houston, Texas! That was a refreshing change, as prior Eon warrior books have mostly occurred in the vast reaches of space and on alien planets.
While this story comes straight out of Anna Hackett’s amazing mind and fertile imagination, this reader wishes that real space travel could be so effortless! For example, within a 24-hour window, the protagonists are whisked from Australia to space! There is no scheduling or any need to coordinate the trip with where they are on Earth so that they end up in the correct location in space; it just works out. Obviously, this is science fiction, so readers are asked to enter into this world she has created. It’s a fun world from a technology standpoint, but those Kantos aliens better stay in her imagination!!

We're back on Earth! The majority of this series takes place in space so it was nice to get back on Earth for a novel.
I really enjoyed the heroine in this book. She's different than many of the previous ones since she's the brainy type and isn't trained to fight. I liked how she grew more confident and comfortable with herself as the story continues. However I did find it a bit unrealistic that she managed to hold her own in a fight when the actual female fighters in the series sometimes struggled to do that. An untrained woman flailing her arms against a military trained enemy? I don't think so.
I liked how the Hero was different than the rest of the warriors we've met so far. He has reasons for his iron control and it was a nice detail to add to the story.
I will say I am getting a little annoyed about the convenient 'help' the characters receive in almost every book. The good guys are losing and then reinforcements arrive and the battle turns!/ strange animals or plants randomly appear and start to help. At first it was neat and fun. But every book? It's getting too convenient and is very predictable. I am no longer concerned by the strange creatures they meet or wonder if they will try to kill the characters. I just assume they will help them fight off the bad guys.
I know it seems like I'm complaining and I am a bit but I did really enjoy the book. I am really enjoying how the world is unfolding. I love all the characters and how each of them find the HEA. I like how we keep getting glimpses of the characters from previous books and it's nice to see our old favs make appearances. We are left on a bit of a cliffhanger at the end of this book so I am excited to read the next in the series.

The Eon have landed people! Now that Earth and the Eon have an accord to help each other, the powers that be have instructed that they work together to help strengthen Earth's defences.
Sabin had an interesting first meeting with Dr Delgado. She may be the leading authority on weapons to defend Earth but she could do with a crash course in dealing with her fellow Earthlings never mind hulking Eon Warriors. Finley Delgado takes her job very seriously, maybe too much so.
But after a narrow escape and losing some friends and colleagues, she's living to make sure that they are not fogetten.
Sabin and Finley are like explosive chemicals! If Finley just let go you know that they'd be awesome but Sabin has a few walls to bring down first! Whilst it is nice to be on Earth for a change, that doesn't mean things are safe or sedate! Sabin and Finley have more than a few close calls with assassins, hunters, and other dangers.
Finley may be the smartest person in the room but she doubts her looks and the reasoning that Sabin seems to want her. She fears there is always going to be a motive behind why someone wants her. Sabin had an interesting first meeting with Dr Delgado. She may be the leading authority on weapons to defend Earth but she could do with a crash course in dealing with her fellow Earthlings never mind hulking Eon Warriors. Finley Delgado takes her job very seriously, maybe too much so.
But after a narrow escape and losing some friends and colleagues, she's living to make sure that they are not fogetten.
Sabin and Finley are like explosive chemicals! If Finley just let go you know that they'd be awesome but Sabin has a few walls to bring down first! Whilst it is nice to be on Earth for a change, that doesn't mean things are safe or sedate! Sabin and Finley have more than a few close calls with assassins, hunters, and other dangers.
Finley may be the smartest person in the room but she doubts her looks and the reasoning that Sabin seems to want her. She fears there is always going to be a motive behind why someone wants her. This series is so deliciously compelling and fun to read💖
Sabin is one of the Eon warriors form the Rengard and he's been asked to work on a weapon system than will help protect the Earth from the Kantos. He's strong, loyal and always In complete control. Like many of the Eon warriors his senses are heightened. But Sabin is special all his life he's had super heightened senses and when he bonded to his helien they doubled. He's terrified that is he doesn't have rigid control of all his mental and physical abilities he will hurt those around him. He's never had a problem keeping control u too he meets the scientist who invented the weapons system he was sent o help out with. Once he meets Finley all thoughts of control vanish I matter how hard he tries to keep them. Finley is a highly intelligent young woman who is light years above most around her when it comes to building laser weapons. She is determined to save the Earth and everyone on it or did trying. A horrible tragedy in her last motivates her drive and her work to protect others. She has laser focus and doesn't have time for anything other than her work certainly not relationships that is until she's take one look at Sabin. Sparks fly not and fast between these two fierce people. Both fight their attraction but the Kantos and danger strikes forcing them to work together to save themselves and Earth. And maybe the passion that burns between them is exactly what they both need to not only save the Earth but save each other.! Hunky Eon warrior versus a prickly brilliant Doctor

Terran genius weapons specialist, Doctor Finley Delgado is working hard in her Earth lab to build a deflector covering the earth hoping to stop the Kantos alien bug-like monsters from invading the Earth. The Eon, now our allies, knows Dr. Delgado is a phenomenal scientist but they believe she could use their advanced technology to complete her project faster. Finley is not receptive and prefers to work alone. But… Sec. Commander Sabin Solann-Ath from the Eon warship Rengard has been sent to “assist” Finley anyway. Their relationship starts out prickly but these two workaholics start to mesh. Somehow the Kantos know that Dr. Gelgado is the brains behind the shield and they’ve sent horrible buglike assassins after her. Sabin will protect Finley whom he realizes he's attracted to. Finley’s feelings for Sabin start as an attraction to him because he's a hot-muscled-warrior but morph into much more. When they finally give in, their union is explosive. Anna Hackett really knows how to give her stories plenty of SyFy, action, conflict, and romance. Anna's stories are standalone but at the end, she gives a sneak peek into her next story. No social life, no relationships, only her work had meaning for Dr. Finley Delgado. She was only aware of one thing, that with The Kantos threat upon Earth, she must succeed. Sabin Solann-Ath was sent to help Dr. Delgado with her weapon project and the attraction was instantly but he was afraid of losing control. Still feeling shame and guilt for things that had not been under her control, Finley was struggling with her emotions and she had dealt poorly with those around her, but what she was feeling for Commander Solann-Ath was strong and undenied. The Kantos had infiltrated and were ready to invade Earth so, in a race for their lives Sobin was fighting to protect Finley but what he not expected was a woman protecting him. Exciting and intense the fights against the Kantos. Liked that Finley trusted Sabin all the time and was no shy with her desires. Love when the helian takes charge and makes its magic! Last chapter was very intriguing and left me guessing with the unusual Eon-Earth couple matching. Lot of action and suspense, strong characters, nasty creatures, adventure, lovely and useful an almost, almost pet, violence, romance and heated passion. Voluntarily reviewed this interesting and entertaining book that I enjoyed.

This is another excellent adventure involving the Eon Warriors and their human mates.
Part of an ongoing series, you can’t really begin with this book, because the overarching background story builds on the previous books. Although each book has its own complete romance, they each tell only part of the story of the Eon Warriors and the Terrans coming together to fight the Kantos.
Not to worry though, the books are well worth the time, and the universe they’re set in is fascinating and well thought out.
A fast paced, action packed adventure, filled with spine-tingling danger, and creepy insectoid and arachnid aliens, what more could a sci-fi romance want?
I highly recommend this entire series, for all sci-fi romance lovers.

As soon as an Eon Warriors Book is released, I can not wait to get my little greedy hands on them. This is currently my favourite SciFi Action Series to date, but I will do my best to deliver a fair a review.
I loved Anna's take on bringing an Eon Warrior into a new environment. Yes, we've seen it before with new aliens arriving on Earth and all the cheesy scenes of experiencing everything new for the first time as if they were a child. Thankfully, Anna gave the respect Sabin deserved by showcasing not only his strength, but his smarts as well. There was no need to overindulge in writing over the top ridiculous scenes, and Anna delivered! We got to focus on the story, action, and the romance. Also, honestly, I didn't think I'd like Sabin's character, but every scene he's in, he surprised me over and over and now is one of my favourite Eon Warriors. Finley, despite her prickly demeanor was a character I enjoyed reading about a lot. Her past and present experiences were crafted and integrated into the story very well. Another 5 star read for me. All the expectations you have from an Anna Hackett book is delivered again in Storm of Eon.

A read I could not put down craving to learn what happens next.

I was a wee bit disappointed by this one, though to be fair I was having a horrendous week, so it might have been me. I struggled a bit to warm up to Finley, which led to a bit of soul searching, as she isn't likeable and you understand why... but gosh was she mean at times! I think if there had been a few more scenes of her being sweet with her colleagues or her mate, it might have helped, but this is always tricky when the pace is so swift. As for Sabin, it was a shame he wasn't set up a little bit more, his extrasensory powers were stated up front but didn't really seem to be an issue as the novel wore on. As warrior-dom (warrior-hood? No idea what the phrase is) is thrust upon him, I wondered if he might have been a nerdy little scientist who just wants to learn underneath all the brawn, but this wasn't really developed.
But. BUT. That ending. Wow. I have reread it several times now and I am in love with Thane and Kaira already, I really hope their book lives up to the hype machine churning in my mind, because what a fantastic set up. And I have only two weeks to wait! Thank goodness for fast writers like Anna Hackett.

The action has moved to Earth where scientist Dr Finley Delgado is in the process of making a laser protective system around Earth to repel the Kantos. But with invasion imminent, Eon Security Commander Sabin is tasked with going to Earth to protect Finley and help her with his technical expertise.
Although Finley's character is more in line with Wren Heart of Eon and is not a fighter, she is depicted to be of Amazonian proportions and when it comes to saving her own life and the lives of others, she's fearless. Our Eon warrior Sabin is fairly similar to the others we've seen so far but with a little something more that's revealed later in the book.
I did like that some of the action happened in the Australian outback. But what I enjoyed most was the scene where the alien lizard saved the day. Really cute.
Only two more books to go. I can't wait to see the Kantos get their comeuppance.

Anna Hackett is one of my top 10 must read authors and has been for some time now and I honestly don't know if I could ever not love one of her books. Ms. Hackett has a way of grabbing onto her readers from the 1st page to the last with her fantastic storytelling and world building. Her characters are so delightfully flawed that you can't help cheer for their happily ever after. She writes with such passion that you can't help but feel that you are on a wild roller coaster ride until the end. Sabin and Finley's story is one of fighting to save your world as well as the soul mate that you can't believe that you found when you least expect it. This book has everything that you could want: comedy, action, drama, danger and of course hot romance. This is the 7th book in the Eon Warriors series and you will be very sorry if you miss it, as well as the other fantastic books in this series! I can't wait for more. I received an advanced readers copy of this book from Bookfunnel and am voluntarily reviewing it.

I liked how this installment started out - Finley and Sabin got some time to know one another and build more of a relationship before being tossed into the capture/escape cycle. Having to send the two of them off to a remote location gave them the chance to talk through their past issues and work on building trust, which made the actions in the last third of the book more believable. I also liked the supporting cast and was hoping that Karina (?) would get a starring turn.
Not so good things - when they went to Australia it made me think of the Dark Planet Warriors series, as they also have a base there, and remember how much the bug-aliens and magic black armor are also reminiscent of that series. The last third of the book crammed too much action in, though it was nice to see a non-combatant heroine hold her own for a bit. And, as cute as the lizard was, this is the third book in a row that an adorable native animal has helped the heroine save the day ...

This is the 7th book in the Eon Warriors series. In this one our Eon warrior, Sabin, comes to Earth to help Dr. Finley Delgado get her laser defense weapon operational. However, she doesn't want help from a warrior that she thinks has to be all brawn and no brains. She just wants to work alone and get the laser weapon to work. The weapon is meant to protect Earth from the Kantos, so of course the Kantos do not want her to be successful. They send assassins' after her and luckily she has Sabin there when they appear. During their adventures, she realizes there is more to him than just muscles. This action packed romance will take you from Texas to Australia, to outer space and even to another planet as they fight to keep Earth safe from the Kantos. This is another awesome book in the Eon Warrior series that I highly recommend.

Action, adventure and heat
Eon Warriors is an addiction I'm happy to have, once you start this phenomenal series you are hooked for life. This was an action packed book full of desire, spice and plenty of adventures.
Based in earth we get to meet a whole new set of characters and a new journey of danger and discovery. The kantos have there sights set on world destruction this mission unites the Terrans and the Eon in more ways than one. Sabin is a very disciplined character in the other books but we get to see a different side of him this time, his heightened senses make him more focused, intense and in the end passionate. Finley is prickly, focused and has no time for social fratinising with brawny warriors. Together they are an all consuming heat!
