I am NOT a child. I’ll show Soleil I’m a man. A man who can take care of her. Just as soon as I put out the flames from the bed I set on fire.
When Brody Bragg shows up at my doorstep with those baby blue eyes begging me for a place to stay, I can’t resist.
But he’s my roommate. Nothing more. He can strut his six-pack abs up and down the hallway as much as he wants. I’m not giving in. Not even when we end up sharing a bed after he sets his on fire.
I may accidentally cuddle into his strong arms in my sleep, but that’s where the touching ends. Brody is way too young and immature for me. I want a man to take care of me. Not a man-child I have to take care of.
Brody thinks he can change my mind. He’s going to ‘show me’ I’m wrong.
Spoiler alert – Scaring me by blaring loud music causing me to drop the pottery I’m designing is not the way to ‘show me’ anything.
This forced proximity, reverse age gap, small town romantic comedy features a woman who wants a man to take care of her for a change, a man who is willing to give her the world but tends to screw up A LOT, five brothers who think it’s hilarious to watch their baby brother get turned down by the woman he wants, and a whole town of hippies convinced they’re the best matchmakers this side of the Mississippi.
Bragg’s Match is a standalone novel in the Winter Fallsseries.
D.E. Haggerty writes funny, heartfelt small-town romances filled with quirky communities, lovable chaos, and unforgettable happily-ever-afters. Her books give readers a joyful escape into charming towns they never want to leave. Originally from the United States, she now lives in the Netherlands with her husband and far too many book ideas.
Another fun, full of laughter, emotions, friendship and craziness Winter Falls's love story. Brody the younger and the prankster in the Bragg's family and Soleil, older than him and the caretaker, can't be more different, or aren't they? They are made for each other but Brody needs to convice Soleil that he is her HEA.
I know I say this every time... but this really is my favorite in this series.
Soleil has been a supportive part of her friend group, always the voice of reason and caution. She protects her heart just the same. Brody, being the youngest of the Bragg brothers, has always been the prankster of the group. Until that isn't the man Soleil needs him to be - and he makes it his mission to have her see him in a different light.
Brody's personality is so easy to love! I appreciated the care and attention he showed Soleil, even if it took her a while to accept it. The chemistry between these two is addictive and steamy, and the way things wrapped up made me very happy!!
The Bragg brother relationships are fantastic, and the Gossip Girls continue to be the menace of Winter Falls!! (Hahaha...IYKYK!!) Yes, you can enjoy this as a stand-alone, but it is sooo much better if you know all that came before.
I am a huge fan of this author's creativity with these characters and their world. Every story is entertaining and engaging. Most of the time, I am unable to pull myself away from the pages until I finish - so plan your time accordingly. *wink *
I can't wait to share this reverse age gap, forced proximity, one bed, opposites attract, he falls first, small town romantic comedy with you. Brody makes every mistake known to man as he tries to woe Soleil who won't give him the time of day.
I didn't intend to write a reverse age romance but then I noticed Brody staring longingly at Soleil. I couldn't deny the prankster who's been keeping quite a few secrets. I'm a sucker for a man who falls first!
This Brody is much different than the Brody we met in How To Fall For A Rockstar. However, having an assistant named Leia is sort of funny after the ending of this book.
Brody’s had a crush on Soleil since the rest of the Braggs came to town, and now that Elder’s kicked him out, Brody moves in with her and tries his hand at a relationship. Only Soleil is not interested in dating a man eight years younger than her, and a prankster. One breakdown later and Brody sees he needs to change his ways to show that he can be there for her. So what happens when the Gossip Gals interfere too much and make Soleil panic over her feelings and that Brody can’t change.
Brody and Soleil get their happy ending in this standalone book in a series.
Brody has always been a goofball since we first met him, but it was great to see him as a serious person and someone who could be counted on. I do wonder where Soleil was sending the pots she made for the mysterious buyer, that she didn’t realize it was someone local. I am surprised the Bragg Brother Bunch knows nothing about Cash yet, and it will be a surprise to see what they discover in the next book!
Brody Bragg, the youngest of the Bragg Brothers is a prankster, causing chaos wherever he goes, and is constantly being teased by his brothers.
Soleil makes a living from making pottery, and lives in her childhood home. She is eight years older than Brody, and thinks he’s too childish for her, but lets him stay in her spare room when he finds himself homeless.
Brody has another side to him, which he keeps very much to himself, and not even his brothers know about it, as he wants to surprise them when he is good and ready.
Soleil is devastated when her pottery shed burns down, after an electrical fault in her kiln. Brody decides to prove his worth to Soleil, and show her he’s a real man.
Brady’s wooing of Soleil is sweet, but Soleil takes a lot of winning over. The crunch comes when he burns some croutons in the oven, and Soleil has a meltdown and tells Brody to pack his things and go.
I loved the two main characters - Brody trying to make a good impression but mostly failing, and Soleil constantly doubting her feelings towards him.
This latest instalment in the Winter Falls Series doesn’t disappoint. It has all the usual colourful characters, most of whom are busy poking their noses into other people’s business.
There are moments when I laughed out loud, and moments when I threw my hands up in despair at one or the other of them. Mainly though, I loved their story, which was well written by the author as usual, and I was kept entertained by the twists and turns in the story.

I want to live in Winter Falls, this is the fourth book in D E Haggerty's Bragg Brothers series and they just get better. Soleil Hawk couldn't believe her eyes when she saw blue eyed, tall, handsome Brody Bragg on her doorstep, he was looking for somewhere to live, why her, he had four brothers, Oh, did I also mention immature. Potter, Soleil lived in Winter Falls, a carbon neutral town set up by a group of hippies many years ago, many of the hippy rules still stand. Soleil had no family and because Winter Falls is very family orientated she felt isolated even though she had a group of brilliant friends who looked out for her, Friends who wanted to see her married, married to Brody Bragg, the youngest of the Bragg brothers, it didn't help that the gossip girls, the towns unofficial matchmakers, had Soleil and Brody in their sights, bets were being laid. Brody was so attracted to Soleil, he would do anything to get her on side.....anything apart from stopping pranking. Soleil wouldn't even admit to herself that she was attracted to Brody, Brody with his immature pranks, Brody with his ever going list of disasters, Brody who spent his time playing video games, Brody who was eight years her junior. This story follows Soleil and Brody's bumpy, witty, romantic journey on their way to their HEA. I love all the wacky characters that live in Winter Falls, I love the hilarious banter between the friends and the brothers, I love that Brody manage to keep a secret in Winter Falls where nothing is secret. A great story and I now look forward to reading Damon and Love Hill's story. I received a free copy of this book and my review is voluntary
Match found, challenge accepted, maturing with pranks (and love of course!)
Oh my goodness, Bragg's Match (Bragg Brothers Book 4) by D.E. Haggerty is hands down romcom awesomeness. Brody takes his pranking to a new level, all in the efforts of winning Soleil's heart. Attempts back fire (emphasis on the fire!) in spectacular fashion. The reader is entirely entertained while Soleil is absolutely not! Until…. Let's just say Brody is totally misunderstood and a little patience as well as perspective sets him in a new light for Soleil. These characters, Brody and Soleil are complex and complicated and yet so fun to read. Soleil's exasperation only seems to spur Brody's need to prank and joke. While he is endearing to the reader, Soleil struggles to see beyond his perceived fun and games. Both of these characters have baggage that make their true connection hard to accept and believe in, but the reality of their true selves brings hearts and minds in line. Overall, I love this author's romcoms so much! Plenty of Winter Falls quirky high jinks on top of these silly Bragg brothers and the well-meaning gossip gals, make this such a lively, entertaining read. Romcom fans will not want to miss this one and even if you are new to the series, all of her books are standalone despite their inter-connectedness. That's the beauty of it, try one and your hooked with a whole slew of new books to be entertained by! I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.

🤔What could have been better -
✔ There were places I felt Soleil was a bit unfair to Brody.
📚Who Should read :

📈My Rating : 5/5
P.s- Hands down this is one of the best in the Bragg Brother series. So looking forward to Damon's story with the most unlikely character of winter falls.
Soleil has always been the one in her friend group that has been dependable. She's rational and focused on doing well for herself. When Brody shows up at her door asking to move in, she gives in despite some protest. A mutual attraction starts between them, but Brody is younger than Soleil and also not mature, in her mind. However, Brody is far more put together in life than she gives him credit for and having him around makes Soleil realize that it's nice to have someone care for you.
Something that I have found with this series is that the characters don't communicate as well as I would hope for them to. Brody is hiding a secret about himself that he doesn't share with anyone, including Soleil which causes her to form an incorrect opinion about his person. I really wish that they could have shared more about themselves and been more honest.
I think Brody is hilarious with his constant pranks as a way of showing is love. While I would hate this done to me, it was incredibly cute to watch as he both pranked and showed Soleil how much he loved and cared for her.
Of course the best part about returning back to this series is revisiting the town of Winter Falls and of all their many characters. The Gossip Gals are such a fun and meddlesome group and the Bragg brothers are such characters. Also the town council meetings are always such a hoot and I'm so glad that the author continues to include them in the books.
I received an ARC via BookSirens for a honest review.
They have been sparring throughout the Bragg brother's series trying to fight their attraction to each other.
Brody ends up on Soleil's doorstep when his brother Elder kicks him out.He begs her to let him stay.Soleil cannot say no to anyone in need, but regrets it.
Brody wants Soleil but she rejects him,she does not want a younger man even though she is attracted to him.
He does not help his cause when his loud music causes Soleil to break one of her pottery peices.
She thinks he will not mend his ways, and grow up.She wants someone to take care of her not the other way around.
Brody wants Soleil and will do everything to win her over, but when she thinks of him the same his family does he is dissapointed. He is more than just the brother who plays pranks on everyone.
With the help of all his meddling brother's,their girlfriends who are also Soleil's friends, the town's accentric matchmakers known as the gossip girls he wins her over with lots of laugh out loud moments, spice, brotherly banter, girly gossip, winter falls betting pools, romance they get to their happily ever after.
Cannot wait to read the next book in the series.
I recieved an advanced review copy of this book for free and am voluntarily leaving my review.
This is the fourth book in the Bragg Brothers series and is set in the Winter Falls world. You can read it as a standalone but it is connected to the first three books and the other books set in the Winter Falls world so you'll definitely have spoilers. If this doesn't matter to you than proceed to read, if it does than you may want to start with My Forever Love which is book 1 in the Winter Falls series.
I love Winter Falls, the residents are quirky, caring and protective, family and friends are important. The Gossip Gals never fail to make me laugh at their antics and they're at it again, they're successfully helped match four of Brody's brothers and now they want to help Brody win over Soleil. Soleil thinks Brody is a man child who needs to grow up, he's eight years younger than she is. Brody wants to convince her that he's not and that they'd be perfect together and their age difference doesn't matter to him but Soleil isn't willing to give them a chance. Brody is goofy, sweet guy who loves pranking people. Soleil is the mother hen, caretaker and peacemaker in her group of friends. Soleil and Brody's story is a funny, steamy reverse age gap romance. Four Bragg's down, one more to go. I can't wait to read Damon and Love's story. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Tropes: * Small town romance * Forced proximity * Reverse age gap * Grumpy x sunshine * Golden retriever
Brody is the next Bragg to fall in Winter Haven, and he has a battle on his hands…
Brody is a prankster and seems to think that this is the way to cheer people up. I kind of struggled with him - the pranks were annoying, and he acted quite immature, but then had moments where he seemed to settle down. But those calm moments were kind of rare. Then he annoys me with comments about her… he wants her, wants to look after her, but then kind of proves he doesn’t know her. “…I’m not discussing money with Soleil. I want her to want me for me. Not my money.”
But, Soleil also frustrated me with her disparaging comments and wishy-washy behaviour. Her envy over her friends’ children was semi-understandable, and her history kind of explained her attitude, but it didn’t give her permission to be nasty to Brody.
Plenty of small-town hijinks, meddling and drama. I alternated between being frustrated with them and giggling. Brody, despite his early immaturity, ended up being my favourite character in the book. Underestimated and treated pretty shabbily by everyone, he ended up being a golden retriever who just wanted to be accepted.

This is a rom-com rollercoaster set in a small-town backdrop that feels as cozy as a warm hug. Meet Brody, the endearing goofball head over heels for Soleil, a woman older than him. This tale flips the script on classic romances: Brody's all in, keeping a couple of secrets up his sleeve that add an air of mystery, while Soleil remains unyielding, resisting his every attempt at charming her. It's a whirlwind of reverse age gap, forced proximity, one-bed scenarios, and opposites-attract dynamics that will leave you in stitches and rooting for this mismatched duo.
The charm of this book lies not just in Brody's fumbling attempts at winning Soleil's heart but also in the picturesque small town where their story unfolds. The author paints a vivid picture, bringing to life quirky townsfolk and delightful settings that make you wish you were right there, part of the gossip and laughter. With witty banter, laugh-out-loud moments, and a heartfelt journey of unlikely love, "Bragg's Match" is a feel-good romantic comedy that keeps you hooked until the very last page. So, if you're up for a hilarious, heartwarming escapade into love's unpredictable twists and turns, this book is an absolute must-read.
The Bragg brothers series continues with Soleil and Brody's story and somehow, these brothers keep getting funnier and more romantic. Brody is determined to get Soleil to accept his age difference (it's really not that bad!) and realize he's not the child she thinks he is, but she is just SO stubborn about it. Yes, he likes to prank, but that's his love language, and she is so serious, so he's just trying to get her to have some fun! She is the nurturer of her friend group, and has a history of issues, so she isn't looking for another person to take care of. If she would just look past the surface level and see what Brody is actually offering, she would find out that there is a lot more to him than the jokes that he tells. I mean, come on! The stuff he does! At one point, I was so mad at her-and in my opinion she got off too lightly from her friends- she just sabotaged herself. I was happy to see the ending though, because Brody deserved to come out of the shadows of being the little brother!! I have a lot of feelings about reading the next one based on the snippets we were given!! EEEK! No spoilers :)
I have read all the Winter Falls books, including the bonus stories. I have my favorite characters, however, I have to say Brody Bragg is my #1.
Brody is the youngest Bragg brother and the prankster of the family. Some of his pranks are a little off the wall and honestly, if I happened to be a target to some of his pranks, I would hate it. Which is why Soleil didn’t seem to intrigue by his pranking ways.
I felt I related a lot to Soleil. Whenever I’m a part of a group and even with the tight knit of friends I have now, I always seem to get deemed the motherly role. So, I understood her want of wanting a guy who wants to take care of her, instead of her having to take care of another person, who is capable of taking care of themselves.
So, when Brody started to show up for Soleil and prove to her that he can take care of, that is when all the feels for Brody came out for me. I was definitely #teambrody.
Though there are quite a few books by Dena based in Winter Falls, you can read this as a standalone.
I received an ARC and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
D.E. Haggerty is the Queen of Dialogue. Here is a perfect example (this is an excerpt from the book, so be warned of possible spoilers):
"She raises an eyebrow. "Do you know how to fire a kiln?"
"No."
"Glaze pottery?"
"No."
"Wield the pottery wheel?"
"No."
"Then, basically, you're useless to me."
I know she's teasing but those words burn as they pierce my heart. I'm not useless. And I'm not a child. But try convincing my brothers or Soleil otherwise. Not a chance.
"But I am pretty to look at."
Perfect writing! With just a few sentences, we get to understand Brody, how he masks his hurt with humor. He's so much more than the runt of the Bragg pack. And Soleil, oh I just love how she is portrayed. Strong and stubborn, she has her reservations, which are totally understandable. Plus, the brotherly teasing, jokes, pranks, and banter are so spot on! I'm with Petal on this one: Project Cub is my favorite! As has been and will be every gossip gal project in Winter Falls :)

This is another Bragg brothers’ story set in the quirky Colorado town of Winter Falls, a small environmentalist town founded by hippies. The book works as a standalone, although it’s definitely more fun if the reader has already met the characters and spent time with Winter Falls’ unique lunacy. Brody, the youngest Bragg brother, is perceived as immature and as an unemployed prankster. Brody actually has some surprising secrets, along with a very large heart that has been captured by Soleil. Soleil is about 8 years older than Brody, with a ton of baggage about irresponsible younger men from her own parents’ marriage. This story is filled with very entertaining, fast-paced banter, obstacles, interference, plenty of entertaining supporting characters and heat. I’m not usually a big fan of the reverse age trope, but I loved this book. This entire series is very highly recommended! I received an advance review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily.
I was blessed enough to receive this arc from DE Haggarty but the thoughts and opinions of this review are my own.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ In book 4 in the series, we follow Soleil and Brody in the wonderful town of Winter Falls. Brody is determined to change the way everyone thinks of him, including Soleil. Soleil is an artist, a potter by trade. She is hardworking and independent and doesn’t want to get tangled with trouble like Brody. Brody has hatched a plan to not only show his family he’s a professional adult but also Soleil. Brody tries to slow down his shenanigans and prove who he is as a changed person. Soleil and Brody’s relationships grows before your eyes and you can’t help but swoon at how perfect it is. The heart, spice and humor were the best balance. This was another fantastic book in the series. As always it has enough laughs love and spice to keep you flipping the pages and before you know it it’s done in one sitting. Can’t wait to get back to winter falls soon!
More Crazy Fun in Winter Falls - Prankster Brody Meets His Match?
This was the well written crazy fun we have come to expect of Winter Falls when Soleil allows Brody to move into her spare bedroom fearing he will be homeless, even though he has engineered the move solely to get closer to her and win her heart. They were both incredibly stubborn and hiding things from each other and their friends and families that would have helped them move forward, so at times I just wanted to shake them. However, due to their chemistry, banter and even his pranks, it was a very entertaining read. The Bragg brother's text convos were hysterical, as was the Gossip Girls meddling and the town's propensity for betting on everything.
I was sent an ARC by the author and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Moving around between brothers, Brody Bragg shows up at Soleil doorstep asking if he can stay with her for a while. Being a nurturer and helper to anyone that ask, she couldn’t say no even though she wants to. She is older than him and knows that nothing will work out between them. She remembers her parents where her dad was younger than her mother and she had to leave college to take care of her mother. She is always calling him immature and childish. He wants to prove he is a man and he can take care of her. He is also the youngest brother and therefore called the baby. Actually I felt for him throughout the story as the words thrown at him by Soleil and his brothers weren’t very nice. As you will find out he is a successful businessman. I enjoyed this story and was on Brody’s side.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I am not a fan of age gap relationship, especially if the heroine was older than the hero. But, honestly, it was because the Bragg Brothers series, I did love everyone in Winter Falls, including Soleil. So here I am to say: I loved this book.
Though it was hilarious all the time but there was still a few moment you would feel sad and you would cry, for the character, by character I mean Soleil.
Brody now became my favourite book boyfriend at the moment. He was humorous yet sweet and mature. He was so protective, so man. He was just perfect…
Okay, you believe now? I truly liked him very much!
There was one thing, which was at the end of the story, I couldn’t believe that certain someone who’s name begin with L and shall jot be named will be the heroine of the next book…!!!!!
I am not usually a big fan of reverse age-gap stories, but this one is a cut above. I found myself very drawn to Brody, who has been continually underestimated his entire life. I can understand his love of pranks as a means to gain attention and to stand out from his family of 5 boys, with two sets of twins, including his identical.
Matching him with Soleil, who already had been burned by caretaking expectations, was a brilliant idea by the author. I loved the real-life type progress of two-steps-forward, one-back in Soleil and Brody's relationship. When Brody surprises everyone with his care and his attention to detail for his surprises, I could have just swooned.
I received a free advance copy of this story from BookSirens and voluntarily chose to share my review.
4.5 Stars This is the fourth book and prankster Brody is up. I knew this one was going to be a lot of fun, but I didn't anticipate the emotion. My heart went out to Soleil because her backstory pulls on the heartstrings. It explains a lot of her personality. I understand her being tired of always being the one to be there for everyone. I fell that myself at times so I definitely can relate. Brody's fun personality is exactly who Soleil needs in her life. This book is such a fun read with Gossip Girls up to their mischievous match making ways. Brody gives me golden retriever and cinnamon roll hero vibes. He is such a sweetheart and I was getting so made at his brothers for how they treat him as the baby of the family all he time and don't give him enough credit. The mysterious brother Damon pops in and boy am I ever excited for his book now!
I have loved all the Bragg brothers but I think Brody just took the top spot! I am older than my husband, so I loved that Brody was the baby (shhh! Don’t let him hear me say that)! Bragg’s Match was the fourth book in Dena’s Bragg Brothers series. It was sweet, swoony, and full of laughs!
Brody was on a mission to show Soleil he was not the child everyone portrayed him to be. He knew he was the man for her, but would he be able to prove it before Soleil shut him out for good?
These two were too cute! I loved how much Soleil wanted to push him away at first because he was younger, I did the same thing! But like my husband, Brody was persistent and showed her just how much they were meant for each other! And the ending…I despise Love Hill but I have a feeling I am going to end up liking her. Can’t wait for Bragg’s Christmas!!
Brody is the youngest of five brothers, as well as his half-brother, and is the proclaimed immature prankster. At 30, Brody is finally ready for people to see him as he truly is a tech genius who uses pranks to show his love.
Soleil is the small town artist that craves a family more than anything. She believes that the age difference between herself and Brody makes them an impossible match. That as a 38 year old woman, she needs a man who is mature and capable- the complete opposite of Brody Bragg.
But Brody has other ideas and whilst it’s a bumpy road, the small town of Winter Falls gains another couple.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I love this town an all of the quirky characters. But, these two were both a bit too stuck for my taste. Soleil was stuck on Brody being younger than her so wouldn't give him a chance. Brody was stuck on being liked for himself so couldn't show her that he was actually a successful businessman rather than "just playing videogames" as she and his brothers all believed. The amount of time and energy spent on even his twin brother giving Brody a hard time about being the youngest was ridiculous (can you tell I'm a mom of twins?). Overall, I was able to ignore these annoyances and enjoyed their story and all the twists they took getting to their HEA. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is book 13 in the Winter Falls Series and the 4th book about the Bragg brothers. You could technically read it as a standalone but there will be a lot of spoilers to the previous books. There is also cross over stories between the books. If Winter Falls was a real place, reading this series would make you want to move there. Soleil is the last single one of her friends. Brody would love to change that but he’s 8 years younger and Soleil considers that a deal breaker. But what will happen when Brody moves in because he needs a place to stay? If the matchmaking Gossip Gals have their way Brody & Soleil will be the next couple. I read this book in one sitting. Off to the last book in the series!
Brody, the youngest Bragg brother has been eyeing Soleil for some time. But she won’t give him the time of day because he’s afraid of their age difference. Her mom married a younger man and it led to disaster. She’s convinced history will repeat. Brody knows otherwise and sets out to prove he’s not the child everyone accuses him of being. This book was a fun one to read. Loved Brody and his antics. Soleil does stand a chance of holding out. Enjoy another great chapter in the Winter Falls community. This one is definitely a keeper! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review.
Brody is the baby of the Bragg brothers by two minutes and is Riley’s identical twin. Soleil is the oldest of her friends’ group and wants to be taken care of and be a mother. Brody is in love with Soleil, but she thinks he is a child because of his pranks. His good intentions backfire. Soleil is afraid of falling in love with a younger man and having to take care of him because of family issues. The dynamics of the characters in this story made me read the book from cover to cover to find out what would happen next. I loved it.
This is book 4 The Bragg Brothers starring Brody and Soleil. This one is super hilarious and full of drama and humor. I have to say Brody is a hoot and the one scene with the library and his half Bragg brother Peace will have you in fits and giggles. warning do not be eating or drinking while reading this book the humor will have chocking if you do. The pages are full of good humor and jokes with a lot of sibling teasing and the gossip gals to have you turning the next one and betting right along with the crazy stuff in this awesome town. I can not wait for the last brother’s story.
