Daughters of Sarah

Rate this book
Daughters of Sarah – This is a book of hope and encouragement. On first reading it will relieve the wife of the indecision regarding God’s will for her life and will give her firm and immediate direction. It will also be a very real help to those who are separated or divorced or just not experiencing the joy and fullness God planned when He created marriage. Answers to some very tough questions are dealt with in this book. Also, there are powerful testimonies of how God moves when women choose to obey him.

Elisabeth Elliot wrote, What an encouragement to find another author “on my wavelength”! You and I have been reading the same Book! Thank you for sending yours–in line with Scripture, thank God. I had just answered a letter from a lady who wrote, “My husband is not a Christian and I’m NOT ABOUT TO SUBMIT TO HIM!!!” So I added a note recommending your book.

Truth, truth and more truth. This book saved my marriage and changed my life. I live the authors style of no frills, no sugarcoating and just scripture after scripture bringing raw truth. I needed this specific approach to see just where I have been wrong in my marriage. I have recommended it numerous times and each reader has felt the same.

I feel like I should put a huge question mark on this book until I re-read it and evaluate each scenario according to the Bible. Of course, that's what the author seems to present anyway, so maybe that course of action would only confuse me further... Certainly food for thought.

I really liked this book for its quiet encouragement to believe God, giving me real help in how to walk out submission practically, BY FAITH, in a way that didn't seem smug.
