O jei to per mažai, joje rasite kalnus be galo taiklių citatų…
The beginning of the book was challenging to get into because of the way he tells his life examples. Eventually you learn he was homeless at 13 and had to learn to read and write, so I wonder if that's why his stories are presented the way they are - a bit repetitive and undetailed. I also found myself questioning if they were true, but put aside that notion to focus on the theme of the book, which I got a LOT out of. Gratitude is essential to your life - I am a person who gets annoyed at toxic positivity, which Dr. Demartini actually agrees with - that there is balance between the negative and positives in our emotions and in nature. What inspired me the most is looking at gratitude as a way of getting relative (getting real) with reality. To be ungrateful is to have fantasies like "wish it would've been" "wish it could be" - which is not logical or helpful in life. Being grateful is taking inventory of what you have (which brings me instant satisfaction that you can call gratitude). I've described myself as someone who could be "neurotic", so books with colorful hearts on the cover and a title like "The Gratitude Effect" did make me cringe expecting I'd be reading a mushy emotional book, but I was wrong. If this book brought wisdom to someone like me, I'm sure it would benefit just about anyone. Being grateful is a new tool I am going to implement in my life.

Short but sweet book on gratitude and by how recognizing the good in everything in your life can thus, change your life. Really felt the author did a great job of blending his personal experiences, his client's stories, coupled with philosophical ideas and exercises to help you understand the impact of gratitude.
Nepaisant to, vertinga knyga, generuojanti kitokį požiūrį ir skatinanti “panirti” į vidinių pamąstymų/konfliktų jūrą
O, gal, tiksliau sakant - dėkingumo mokymo vadovas.
Dėkingumas santykiuose, darbe, finansuose, sveikatoje, tiesiog - gyvenime.
✔Labai patiko man šis skyrius, beje.
Such an important book about the importance of gratitude that can help us in so many ways. Are you grateful for everything you are, do, and have in all of the seven areas of life? If you're not, Dr Demartini seeks to balance your perceptions so you can appreciate the richness of your life. His goal is to bring you into a state of love and gratitude wherever you've placed blocks in your path to seeing these two things are the natural order of life. He works his way through the seven areas, sharing stories so you can appreciate the divine order. Each chapter ends with quality questions to ask yourself, affirmations to affirm, and action steps to take. When you do so, you will be more grateful for every event in your life.
A life changing book in my opinion. I discovered this book from 'unleash the millionaire within' and I immediately recalled John Demartini from the Secret. There was something powerful about listening to the Gratitude effect while reading and doing the exercises from Unleash the Millionaire Within. Experimenting with both books simultaneously brought on this kind of 3 dimensional learning. I'm still working on the exercises from Unleash the Millionaire Within and recommend both books.
This book came to me unexpectedly and I’m so glad it did! My gosh, what a beautiful concept to write about. I absolutely loved it! I enjoyed the questions and affirmations that he includes at the end of the chapters; it really gets you thinking. Lastly, I like that he provides a “balanced” perspective on life, thereby eliminating a dualistic view.
Great book that can help you to think more consciously about how we approach our lives.
Being grateful is one of those underrated tasks and demartini uses parable, story and theroetical knowledge to explain how you can apply this to your own life.
Hayatımınız her anına dair şükürler edilecek şeyler vardır.
Inspirational! Even though I've read many books from the self-help area, I could still find some things new and inspiring here. Recommend it! Especially if you currently feel worried, stressed or helpless.
One of the BEST books I’ve ever read. I read it during the explosion of tiktok and it helped me tremendously deal with haters comments as my videos were going viral and received some haters comments. It’s a book I’d buy my kids to help shape their mindset for resilience
