Although uneven, this one had me laughing out loud several. The tag line on the cover is "A guy, some girls, and his answering machine." Whitfield has a great hook for examining dating, but what keeps this one going is the totally clueless narrator. What is really impressive is the contrast between the 1st person narrator's perspective and what is actually happening in the scenes. The plot gets questionable in places, and the writing/editing is sloppy in places, but there are some funny scenes, and it is the best clueless narrator I've ever come across.

I don't remember how I discovered this book but it grab my attention and never let go. I couldn't wait to get home from work, grab food, a drink and read! I laughed hysterically throughout this book and at times, frustrated by the characters inability to move forward or see the obvious. Great reading for someone just getting into reading or looking for something light and entertaining.

I remember this book, the title and color it what initially attracted me to this book, but then I read the back and feel in love. Another romantic comedy by Mr. Van Whitfield.
