Queen of the Night: Halloween Standalone
I was fine with the life I lived. After what happened, I settled into not being wanted by everyone. I’d become invisible, and I liked it that way. I had my Gran, a shitty job, and my love for photograph. What else did a girl need? I’d planned to save enough to get me across the country, I just had to play my cards right.
Everything was in place until they showed up.
Beautiful bastards that forced their way through my carefully crafted walls. It took one night with all three and I knew I belonged to them. Dante, Chase, and August were all Heathens.
They woke up the part of me that I tried to keep hidden, making me realize that red looks really good on me.

For a dark romance, I probably laughed way more than I should have. I love Gran. She was the perfect comic relief the entire time. From the first page to the last, it was non-stop. It was definitely SPICY but had some sweet moments, too. Aside from Gran and Trinity, August was one of my favorite characters. You couldn't truly hate any of the Heathens. They all had something to love about them.

I’m struggling with a rating for this one. Overall I enjoyed the read as well as the characters, but everything was just so coincidental (I don’t want to give spoilers so I’ll leave this vague). I understand it’s a novella and that the story is supposed to wrap up quickly, but I still was left wanting more. The smut was great though.

Plot: 4/5 • Smut: 4/5 ———-> This was short and sweet and to the point. Her new next door neighbors are three fiiiiine men who are vigilantes working for a different kind of boss. She’s just a girl who’s trying to piece her life back together. Add a little spice and you have a fun explosion with three brothers.
Smut is very good. We love a sexually empowered FMC.

My first book by this author, but definitely not my last. This book had me hooked from the very beginning. All the stars and all the chili peppers. Excellent read and extra spicy.
We have Trinity. A young woman that lives with her Gran. She's been through some things. Her Gran points out there are some people moving in next door. Trinity doesn't think about it too much, knowing Gran will send her over later with some kind of baked good and heads down to the beach instead. At the beach she and Dante are going to have a run in. Then she goes back home where Gran pushes her to the neighbors house with a plate of cookies and an invitation to dinner.
Dante, Chase, and August are in town to do a job. The boss wants them looking into to some people in this town. The three separate to do some scoping out. Dante ends up at the beach meeting a girl that turns his world upside down. After there run in, he's certain he will never see her again. Until they go next door for dinner and the granddaughter is none other than the girl from the beach.
All three men standing in the dining room are hot and sexy AF. Also, they all seem to be interested in Trinity. She isn't complaining, but isn't going to make it easy for them either.
The witty banter between these characters made this book. I can't count how many times I literally busted out laughing at some of Trinity's comebacks. These men each call to a part of Trinity and it just makes this match up even more perfect.
Truth be told, Gran was my FAVORITE. The dinner conversation had be crying I was laughing so hard. Even if she was more of a background character, she still has allllll the main character energy.

This was such a fun, dark, fast paced, why choose romance. Now I don’t usually enjoy insta love or lust and I’m not even sure I would classify this as that but if the shoe kind of fits🤷🏼♀️ with that said, it didn’t bother me in this one probably because the scene after was funny af.
Pros: Trinity had a rough childhood and it’s great and all when people heal and become good people but when they become 🔪 after that’s also great. Love when the FMC is badass and doesn’t take any shit. If you know me, you know I love a good why choose. The dark broody guy always used to be my fav but I’m becoming partial to the funny guy and Chase was such an enjoyable character. I definitely wasn’t expecting the plot, and the suspense made things very interesting. The spice was good and I loved her grandmas character lmao.

With "why choose" being one of my favorite tropes, I can get very picky when reading them. I was so pleasantly surprised by this story!

✨Queen of the Night was my first N. Owens book I’ve read and MAN did it DELIVER! The prologue had me hooked from the start, and even when the reveal came I was so invested into Trinity’s life. I found myself rooting for her, feeling her emotions, and audibly responding to some of the story line.
📚At one point, I even said “Gran is me in about 40 years.” The characters were so thought out and well-rounded. They played off one another it seemed like this was actually a real found family.
🌶️ Some books are “all spice, no plot” and N. Owens does not fit into this category. The spice was a few open door scenes, however I felt more spice in the banter, tension, and emotional aspects rather than the actual scenes.
🩸 All in all, a great first book to start venturing into the author known as N. Owens. 207 pages of pure found family, multiple POVs, and hilarious banter. If you like any of those in your books-especially with some spice-definitely check this one out!

This was my first N. Owens book and I found it was a great dark and spicy read. There were so many moments I laughed when I probably shouldn't have but they were really likeable characters and the banter that went on was great. There is a kickass FMC that can actually handle herself and doesn’t take shit from anyone, and three badass tattooed and pierced MMCs. Also her gran who brings some super funny moments to the story. The instant lust and obsession that happened between the MC’s made for some HOT scenes. Then with some unaliving of people who absolutely deserve it to bring some darkness to the story. Overall a great fast paced, spicy read with dark elements.
I listened to this on audible and the narrator did a good job, there were some points where a longer pause was taken between words or sentences, but i listen to most books on 1.1 or 1.2 speed so it wasn’t too bad.

What a fun and amazing story. It has so much humor but yet it also has a bit of a mystery involved. I loved Trinity and her take no prisoners type of attitude. She definitely has a lot of sassy back talking and at times it is just humorous. The guys are great. I loved Chase and go lucky personality. His antics were funny but you can still see the protective side of him too. Dante was you alpha jerk that just can’t help but love. He shows a couple of sides to himself and you end up loving them all. August is your clam hand steady guy that keeps them all together. The four of them have absolutely amazing chemistry that is felt throughout the story. Then we get to Gran. Just as many others love her she is an absolute riot. She will have you falling out of your seat with laughter. This story is extremely well written and developed. It flows so beautifully that you don’t miss a beat, it is absolutely a read that you won’t want to miss. Is has spice and action that will pull you in and keep you glued to it.

OMG!!! I legit read this book straight through. No breaks. Usually I stop and take breaks and do other stuff but I seriously could not put this down. 10/10, 100% recommend! Dante, August, and Chase make the perfect book boyfriends. The relationship dynamic between Dante, August, Chase and Trinity is just incredible. The banter, the nicknames, the lusting, its just…. IDK, Im starting to run out of ideas of how to describe just how incredible/amazing/prefect it is! And thats not even beginning to discuss the thriller/dark romance vibe and the storyline, both of which btw is also just 10/10. Lol lots of repeating in this review but its all true. Your going to either take my word for it or read it for yourself which you probably should do anyways because its that amazing!!
Also Trinity’s Gran is a HOOT! I absolutely love her character in this book. She is so witty and adorable and her character has the best personality ever

Queen of the Night
This book was not what I expected! Actually, I don’t know what I expected, but this was absolutely a mind blowing super intense read. I feel for Trinity knowing she must’ve had abuse as a child to turn her into the person she is today. But when three single, hot men move in next-door to her and her grandmother - her life changes in some seriously drastic ways. Trinity has two jobs one working in the diner and one taking pictures for the local paper. When she inadvertently stumbles across a plot to steal local girls and traffic them, she learns that the guys living next-door are there for the same purpose to stop this ring from continuing to steal young girls from surrounding areas and ship them out. The humor in this book all came from Gran! She was incredibly funny! I really enjoyed reading this book and read it in one day because I couldn’t put it down. Oh and did I mention that it was hot as well. Well, now you know.! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dante, August, and Chase become almost instantly obsessed with Trinity. Trinity is a strong sarcastic girl. I loved the dynamic between the four of them. Plenty of spice! And even some pierced peppers😏

Wow. This is my second N. Owens book and my second time arc reading for her. Yet again, I was not disappointed. I may even like this more than Darkest Dawn. It’s RH and gramma Betty is on board. With her constant pestering of Trinity to just accept her new harem because each man will satisfy a different part of her. Also, Chases’ constant sarcasm and comedic relief just makes this book *chefs kiss*. Dante’s is sinfully hot with a piercing and filthy mouth. August is a quiet soulful artist just looking for a new muse. All three men find something their hearts have been yearning for in the FMC, Trinity. She’s our stabby unhinged fmc and the new Queen of these contract killers hearts. Dive in to find out what happens cause shit gets wild.

N. Owens has again shown everyone she deserves her title of Queen of Dark Romance! I was hooked from the very start, absolutely loving every second! Trinity is such an amazing FMC, a badass and incredibly funny girl - which she 1000% gets from her Gran! I thought was such an amazing character and kept me on my toes! August, Chase and Dante are absolutely amazing - and I’m ridiculously jealous of Trinity - the girl should learn to share 😩.
At 204 pages, this took me just under 2 and a half hours to read. There are some graphic and adult scenes throughout the book, as well as some depictions of murd3r. Please read the blurb and trigger warnings before starting! Highly recommend to any dark romance lover.

I was not prepared for the rollercoaster of emotions I went through while reading Queen of the Night! Where to start? I love Gran, Gran is goals. Gran is the light in the darkness, not that the darkness is a bad thing😈
I laughed, I was shook, and my heart strings were jerked every which way! Trinity will always have a place in my heart with her Heathens❤️🔥 and if you ask me to pick a favorite, I refuse, I can't, I need them all!

If you have not read this book, don’t walk, run to read it. N Owens is my go to author. I have read multiple books of hers and I will always go back to them every time. This book right here had me in a freaking chokehold and wouldn’t let go. It was hot, sexy and badass. Dante aka Lucifer, that man is everything and I’m so glad that she put his ass straight in his place. August aka Picasso, loved me some August. Chase aka lover boy, WTH can I say about him, he had me dying of laughter. I love the banter between him and Gran. Speaking of Gran. I love me some Gran, more like Naughty Gran, this women stole my heart. I need some more of her. She had me dying. This wasn’t enough. Definitely one of my top reads this year!!!

Gran was the rockstar of this book! I absolutely loved her! She was hilarious, and her relationship with Trin was amazing! I loved Trinity. Her personality, her bad*ssness, her humor, & her sexual empowerment. She was not afraid of these 3 sexy men. I love how she’s drawn to all 3 of them in certain ways & they each match a part of her so perfectly. After everything she’s been through she thought she was unlovable, until she meets these 3, and they are absolutely perfect for her. Not only are they perfect in chemistry, but in their darkness. Loved this book so much & can’t wait to read more from this author. This wasn’t my first of her books. So I knew she was an amazing author, but this just made me love her more! Highly recommend not just the book but this author!

This book, was just WOW! The plot, the characters, the drama and oh the SPICE! A great Halloween inspired vibe book.
Trinity has a past that Dante, August and chase stumble into finding out when they move in as the hot new neighbors!
Oh and gran’s cooking 👏🏻
I absolutely loved this book! Consumed it in one day! I couldn’t put it down. 100% recommend. Dark, spicy and RH are right up my alley so this book checked all the boxes for me. If I had just one wish for this book, I would have loved to have just a little more story in the end. 😉 oh and to have my own Lucifer, Picasso and lover boy! 🥵🌶️💋

Overall enjoyable, understanding it is a novella so we are supposed to get from A to Z rather quickly, I wish it was a longer novel so there could have been more backstory and depth. Certain topics and time frames I feel were too lightly touched on and I really wanted to delve in deeper.
That being said, the characters and spice were phenomenal. For being a dark romance, and make no mistake there are hard topics that may be triggering to some, I laughed way too much with the character’s interactions. Gran really bumped it from a 3 to 4 star rating for me, we all love a crazy protective old lady with an insatiable dirty side.

Loved this book so much, would 100% read again and again.
The Heathens are instantly drawn in by Trinity, little do they know she is the woman their dark band of brothers needed. Each of them complements a different part of her, Dante is the rough and dangerous one = Her Lucifer, Chase is the sweet and romantic = Her Lover boy and August is open and artistic = Her Picasso. And she is also matched a different part of them, Dante's Cupcake, Chase's Kitten and August's Little Muse. But is not all sweetness and kisses, with the Trinity & Heathens finding the truth about hidden sex trade in Tall Pines, Maine.

Spicy and adventurous!
Really enjoyed this book!! Some typos here and there throughout, but nothing crazy. My fave character was Trinity’s grandma! We all need a grandma like this one! - Trinity has a dark past, but doesn’t realize her three new neighbors have one just as dark. The Heathens are here to get rid of some bad men that are abducting and s£lling women. Trinity gets involved in the mix and we have a bloody show down. - There is a lot of spice in this book, as well as blood/violence and a very foul mouthed sassy FMC! - TW’s: domestic battery, murder, attempted assault, human traff!cking. - Spice level: 4/5.

This is my first book I’ve read of this author, if the others is as good as this one…..well, I will have a lot of reading to do.
Loved the Heathens, and Gran! Gran coming out the door saying I’ll be back with the bleach. WOW, what a gran to have. FMC has had family trauma, but she came out stronger for it. The only lady to make the Heathen’s stay for more than one night.
If you are wondering whether to read this book, and like me check the reviews to make that final decision…..READ IT!!!!! You will not regret it, just plan your time ahead so you have time to not put it down till the last page.

From start to finish this book is captivating! It has dark themes and dark scenes but ultimately that’s what we’re all here for isn’t it? It starts out with a pretty traumatic even for our FMC and then dives right into how she tries to navigate the effects of that. Add in some hot new neighbor men that her grandma absolutely must invite over for dinner and you’ve got yourself one perfect book! There are mentions of assaults, human trafficking and murders so check trigger warnings ♥️

Heathens are my new favorite!
I cannot express how much I loved this book! The three men are just perfection and complement the FMC perfectly. The four of them were cut from the same cloth because they are the perfect match all the way around.
Grams might just be my favorite though. How do you argue with a smut loving, protective, grandmother? The only acceptable answer is that you don’t!

Lucifer, Picasso, and Lover Boy- I’ll take one of each, please! I loved all 3 of these men and I like how they each have a special interest in common with Trinity. Trinity is a feisty, independent woman who knows what she wants and takes it! There’s no stopping her when she has her mind made up.
Then there’s Gran. She’s sweet, she’s funny, and she reads reverse harems. What isn’t to love?
I loved the characters, the plot, and the spice! I’m left wanting more of their story! What happens next??? I hope there’s more to come in the future!

N. Owens did it again!
I recently read Darkest Dawn and while I enjoyed it, this book is officially my favorite book by this author.
I can not wait for everyone to be able to read this.
I might have had a favorite Heathen, (Hint: he called her his Muse) but like every good reverse harem you can’t really stick with just one right? 😏
Each one of the MMC’s hit just the right spot on the FMC’s needs and honestly that’s all you can ask for when it comes to reading a great RH.
I promise there is a damn good plot to it too.

The Heathens. That’s it. That’s the sentence. Those boys were something else! I’m so wishing I had new neighbors that just so happen to be similar to them right now!
Trinity is totally living my dream with them. She is also a queen who know how to take care of her own! Which I loved.
And don’t get me started on Gran. I was literally laughing almost every time she said something.
This was a good faced paced why choose! I wish it were a little longer to go into the backgrounds of the boys, but other than that, loved it!

The only reason I gave this three stars is because the grandma was amazing! Man she cracked me up. This had so much potential but there were like a million and one plot holes. There were also tons of grammatical errors that were hard to overlook. The "plan" they had was so dumb it was laughable. These guys are supposed to be trained killers?! Yeah, there is nothing that would ever convince me that is true. The characters were in their twenties but they seemed like immature teenagers. The entire things just had me questioning my sanity for finishing it.

My new favorite. I love that it took the men a couple times before they embraced her crazy strong independence. Each man had just enough of his own crazy and the fact that they’re protective and all push each other in just the right manner. Plus the spicy scenes were brilliant as always!!! This was just enough to deliver the story line and have me wanting more. Like even more of just this world. Please? And thank you!
