Wow; that Ace is one smoking hot mountain man! He’s not only obsessive, possessive and protective but he’s also got a dominant personality when it comes to the bedroom and a dirty mouth; he’s basically the world’s most perfect man! He’s had his eye, and heart, set on Mackenzie for the last four years, ever since she kissed him. He turned her away then but now his control is starting to slip— only thing is, she’s the daughter of his best friend. His best friend who will NOT understand. Ace knows this but he’s about at the end of his rope and the only comfort he can find is following her, watching her, every move she makes and it’s getting to be almost more than he can stand.
Mackenzie has almost given up, she kissed Ace four years ago hoping for more but he pushed her away; maybe she should just give up and find someone else who could love her. Unfortunately, she can’t stand the thought of anyone else touching her but she’s getting desperate. Oh my word! This is one of the best books I’ve read in a while. Holds so much fun inside Ms. Brody’s imagination😁. Sooo…
Ace is our delicious alpha mountain man, MMC. He’s x military and his only weakness and dark obsession for four years, is Mackenzie.
He has scars, mental as well as physical, from his time in the boys home he and Rogue, his best friend and Mackenzie’s dad, grew up in. Ace’s childhood is tragic. You will weep for him.
Eventually both men move to Courage County and Rogue meets the love of his life. Till she dies and he moves to the mountains close to Ace. Mackenzie, our MFC, stays and runs her dads hardware store.
She does videos tutorials to show single girls how to do home improvement projects. She loves it!
She’s in love with Ace but gets discouraged because he dosnt come forward to do any thing about it. He feels he’s too old for her and Mackenzie dads is his best friend.
She goes out with her friend Ginger one night and that sure gets things moving, with her thrown over Ace’s shoulder and being pulled out of the club😜!…only to be taken to his house!

This book is dad's best friend, forbidden romance to a "T." I have read several books by this author, and you can always count on their being lots of chemistry and lots of spicy scenes. The storyline was good, and it was a very quick read.

Ace is best friends with Rogue. Rogue owns the hardware store in Courage County, and his daughter, Mackenzie runs it. Ace has been in love with his bestie’s daughter since her mother died four years ago and Mac kissed Ace. He has been fighting his feelings for her for a long time because he doesn’t want to mess up his friendship with Rogue. Ace hears a problem arise in the store between Mac and the part time help. Ace handles it. Totally hot. Lol. When Ace isn’t running wilderness tours, he is watching over Mac and obsessing about her. Meanwhile, she is doing the same. Mac’s friend Ginger, who has a podcast online, talks Mac into going to a bar, dressed up. Since Ace follows, he does something that is totally swoon worthy and Ginger knew what she was doing. Hail Ginger! Woooo. Lol.
Ace is extremely protective of Mac and then once everything is going well, mayhem occurs. OMG> I wanted to just hug everyone. Ace has been obsessed with his best friend’s daughter Mackenzie for years, keeping his forbidden feelings a closely guarded secret. Until an incident pushes him into full protective mode and he starts stalking Mackenzie night and day. Little does he know that his obsession is matched by Mackenzie and she has plans of her own for him. The stories in this series are actually totally ridiculous with over-the-top characters and plots but they are oh, so, so much fun! They are more like fairytales or fables which seemingly focus on the steamy romance of an extra-possessive hero and his (maybe not so) innocent leading lady (the power drill wielding vlogger Mackenzie can certainly take care of herself), but once you finish reading, you realise that they almost always deal with some heavy or serious topics too. So, Ace with his internal monologue felt to me almost certifiable at first, until I realised that this was his way of dealing with a lot of trauma, while his actions are mostly those of a sweet and caring man. Anyway, this is a good addition to the series and can’t wait for the next one!

Ace and Mackenzie have had mutual crushes for 4 years but neither of them have confessed because she's his best friend's (and saviour) daughter. Since Ace thinks he can't have her, he can't help but protecting her, which includes following her around. He's supposed to be an ex-military man with Ace recon skills, but it sure is different when you're not on a military mission and your entire mind is just filled with one woman, lol.
Mackenzie's friend Ginger is a spunky fun addition to the story (can't wait to read her story!) and decides Ace needs a little jealous to make him come out of the darkness. Figuratively and literally. However after that incident it seems like nothing is progressing, so Mackenzie knows that Ace is stalking her, and watching her every move, and one day decides to put on a show for him. Slowly they come together and quite quickly but not without reservations, Mackenzie's dad accepts them. Oh I'm interested to read if Mackenzie's dad will also find love after being widowed!
This story was short and sweet and also it was quite touching between the characters.

Ace pushed her away but has kept a close eye on her since, considering her his woman but never making the move Mackenzie has been desperately waiting for. One night he’s finally provoked into action thanks to her friend Ginger. Then it becomes a matter of breaking it to Mackenzie’s dad.
Ace is a growly, possessive caveman when it comes to his woman and a damn fine dirty talker as well. Heed my warning: Ice water and extra panties may be required. He’s also sweet and willing to do anything to make Mackenzie happy. And Mackenzie is just as determined to prove to Ace that he’s not broken due to his past and that he’s all she needs to be happy.

I luuuuv Mia Brody!!!!
Mia dealt with several tough subjects - mental illness, childhood neglect and abuse, institutional abuse, and PTSD. Ace and Rogue were closer than any brother could be..and nothing could tear that apart;not even Ace's love obsession for Mackenzie and vice versa.
I try to stay away from these types of tropes but Mia made this relationship more than ok..not because of the happy ending but how she told the past of Ace and Rogue and how eveything her father did when it came to Ace made sense. Her father keeping her in the dark was understandable about his past and how it relates to Ace.
I have to give you serious high marks and sheer kudos Ms. Brody. You shined a spotlight on mental illness and PTSD in a way that did not detract from Ace's and Rogue's pride and integrity.
Take a bow, Ms. Brody!!!!

Once again, another amazing book by Mia Brody. I love the Courage County world she has created and being introduced to new characters that I hope get their own books, and seeing glimpses of old couples. Ace and McKenzie are so great together. They have both known for years that they are meant to be together. They fight it for the sake of McKenzie dad, Aces's best friend, but you can't stop something that is meant to be. One of the things I absolutely love about these books is that her characters are never perfect. Ace deals with mental health issues that are very real and relatable for a lot of people. Other books have had characters with physical disabilities, but she always shows that everyone deserves love and happiness. Loved this book and a very dirty talking Ace!.

Ever since Mackenzie kissed Ace after her mother’s funeral Ace hasn’t been able to get her out of his mind. He follows her everywhere, he tells himself it’s to keep her safe, but in reality he’s become obsessed. Makenzie has been holding on to the memory of her kiss with Ace but he hasn’t shown any interest in her and really, what would her father’s best friend see in her. This was another engaging read in the Courage County Curves series. Mackenzie runs the hardware store for her dad and also makes videos to help women do home improvements. She smart and beautiful and just wants Ace to love her like she loves him. Ace feels he’s damaged and broken and not good enough for his Mackenzie but he soon reaches the breaking point and needs to show her who she belongs too. Looking forward to see what mountain man falls next! I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a fab addition to the series and I love how skilled this author is. She takes a fluffy story that's highly entertaining but you soon realize what deep subjects she tackles. For Ace, he thinks he's broken because of having PTSD and, therefore, not good enough for Mackenzie. Doesn't help that she's his best friend's daughter.... Mackenzie is smart and realizes that life it too short to miss out on love. She kissed Ace at her mother's funeral, four years ago, but the man has made no forward movement to a relationship with her. He does think he's rather wily by stalking her everywhere....but she knows he's doing it ;P Things finally come to a head and they connect. There is family drama, discussion of past abuse, and war trauma, but there's definitely a cute and steamy romance in here. Well done!

Mackenzie knows that her Ace is her soul mate. Problem is he is also her dads best friend. They shared a kiss 4 years ago her mom's funeral but nothing past that. She thinks that Ace doesn't have the same feelings for her. What she doesn't know is that he's been watching her for those 4 years. Ace feels as though he doesn't deserve love or a happy life because of how he grew up and his struggles since leaving the military.
Sometimes you just have to force a man's hand when he is too scared to make a move himself. Which is exactly how Mackenzie gets Ace to make his move. The rugged mountain man finally takes what is his and he isn't gentle about it either. I loved their connection and how she got Ace to open up to her. Age is irrelevant when you find your soulmate.

Four years ago, Mackenzie kissed her father’s best friend, Ace. After a few moments, Ace pushed Mackenzie away. That one kiss awakened something in both of them. Ace became obsessed with her and Mackenzie was sure that she only wanted Ace. Ace follows her around, telling himself that it is to ensure her safety but deep down, he knows the truth. Stalked by the Mountain Man is the eighth book in the Courage County Curves series and it is a dirty, naughty, taboo romance with enough heat to light your Kindle on fire. This is a large age-gap romance, as in he is her father's best friend who grew up together. For me the gap was a bit much but I just went where the story took me and enjoyed the read. Mackenzie runs her father's hardware store in town and Ace well not really sure what he does. Four years ago it all started with a kiss that set both of them on fire, but it was quickly doused only to continue to simmer just under the surface. All it takes is one incident where Mackenzie is in danger and Ace rushes to her rescue and finally claims his woman.

Maybe 2.5 stars? This wasn’t terrible, but it had a great premise and sometimes it brought the heat, then it would leave me cold.
It would have bits like this:
“What does a broken soldier like me have to offer a curvy innocent virgin?”
I dislike writing like this because no one thinks like this, but this sort of writing is everywhere. It’s this need to spell the tropes out in the writing, not just on the blurb. It feels like stating things, rather than making them felt through the story. Like I said, a lot of books do this - so this is no means only on this writer. I just get put off by this type of thing, and maybe the rest of the story wasn’t original enough, or had strong enough personalities to win me back.

Ace is very much an OTT hot stalker. But with the best of intentions. Mackenzie knows he’s watching her. She likes that he watches her. She just wishes he’d do more than watch her. After a bad encounter with an employee that is blatantly disrespecting his position and how he got it. He gets in her face. Ace won’t stand for it. He’s ready to kill him for touching her. Until Mackenzie stops him. But then Ace backs off from her too. Back to watching. So, she pushes his limits on purpose to see what he’ll do. Once she does that it’s all over for Ace. He’s done watching from afar. Now he’s all in. Best friend (her father) just has to accept it in Aces mind. He tried to stay away. But just can’t anymore.

I loved Stalked by the Mountain Man Book 8 of Courage County. Mackenzie loves her fathers best friend, Ace. She knows she should forget about him but she doesn’t want anyone else. Ace is to broken for her, he can’t do that to her or his best friend; but can he really let her go? He’s been following her, he knows her schedule and he will protect her. She knows he’s there, she wants him there. This is a short and sweet story. It was a good storyline and I loved the characters. A few hints to future books. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

Obsession or Obligation?
Oh my goodness, did this book grab my heart. I’m a sucker for a MMC who thinks he’s not good enough for the woman he wants, but goes ahead and pursues her anyway. Ace fits the bill and of course he’s a wonderful guy, but no one can convince him of that. Perhaps his best friend’s daughter Mackenzie, can change his mind.
As always, Mia gave her readers another imperfectly perfect, HOT hero to fall in love with and a heroine who embodies our #sassylifegoals.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This romance has an ott older man and a young woman who knows her mind. If Ace would give up on the denial, MacKenzie is the perfect girl for him. Her father and their past are the biggest stumbling blocks for Ace. Especially with how he finds out about them. Rogue is protective of his daughter, but in the end he can see what's best for her. Their love story has plenty of steamy scenes, highs and lows. It was a good addition to Courage County. I'm looking forward to the next book, but am anxiously awaiting Rogue and Susie's love story

Ace has been stalking Mackenzie for 4 years. Even tho Ace is her dads best friend he has loved Mackenzie for those years. What he doesn’t realize is that Mackenzie loves him too. She is doing everything in her power to make him notice her. It isn’t until she finally decides to go to club that Ace makes his move. But what happens when Mackenzie’s dad finds out. I enjoyed this fast paced steamy read. There’s a depth to the characters that I wasn’t expecting in this novella. I loved that. Excellent storytelling.
