Facing new challenges and formidable foes, Boyd must harness his inner strength to navigate a world suddenly fraught with uncertainty.
Will Boyd’s newfound strength be enough to confront the Wild Lands' monsters? Will his relationships survive the challenges and a mind-altering reveal? Uncover the answers as Boyd embraces his true path and steps boldly into a future that will redefine the very essence of what it means to be a Hero.
Book 3 of Boyd's story brings a lot of improvements. The tense change made a lot of improvements. The addition of an editor also improved things. Still spelling errors and a few grammar errors in this entry, but not nearly as many. Now for the characters. Its been quite some time since the last entry, so I find myself happily feeling like Boyd grew significantly this go round. Silvie is silvie as always. We see more of Raev, Daisy and Tinker, as well as some new additions. This one leaves me looking forward to what comes next. I'm hoping the author has a fun and spicy universe here that they'll let us enjoy for a long time to come.
While definitely improved from the first 2 and having some explanation into Boyd’s childish ideals. 3 1/2 books to get there is pretty long. This book also felt like alive of life. Less than 10% of this book had action in it. It was all relationship drama. I’m aware this is a harem book but it needs much less harem time. Everyone is always trying to make everyone feel all happy and perfect. And apparently Boyd is still just a damaged child who is allowed no agency with his own psyche apparently. Gave 3 stars instead of 2 due to improvements from the second book. I’m gonna give 4 a chance until 30% to have a bit more action and interesting things.
We get to see a true team being built this h me around. Most of the action is at the end. Lots of character development in the book. Part of the secrets that were hinted at are revealed and new issues are introduced. Brooks grows Boyd's character well. Tinker blossoms. This is well written for a development novel. Worth the read. Can't wait to see where things go now that the stage is set.
We finally get some explanation of what's going on with Silver and her mysterious contacts. The action continues to ramp up and Boyd finally gets over some of his hangups. It seems they are not all due to pure morals, but instead a much more sinister motive. Looking forward to where things go from here.
big changes, important reveals, and he still takes time in the meals.
I enjoyed the plot twist, the surprise reveals, and the character progression for Boyd, Sylvia, and Tinker quite a bit. That boss monster pop up was unexpected.
The wait for the third book of this series was worth it. It was slow moving at first with a lot of revelations but man did it end on a high note. I can't wait for book four.
Boyd is back, his team is solidifying, and the epilogue cliffhanger from the previous book is fully resolved. And... The Last Dragon. (No, Boyd is not a dragon, don't freak out. Ha.) Can't wait for the fourth book in a few months.
What an amazing world the author has built for.our imagination to play in!!! Fantastic creatures to battle, wonderfully interesting ladies and an intriguing mystery!!! I can't wait for the next book!!!
Loved this book and taking up Dutch as an editor was definitely a good idea, I can’t wait for more books down the line, the slice of life and action have a great balance in my opinion. Keep it up.
After the edits, this series is very binge worthy. I read through the first three books in less than a week, and I wish there was more! I'll be waiting with bated breath for book 4 and beyond!
