A collection of letters from famous women based loosely on the theme of friendship also includes some of the author's own stories and reflections on women's friendships. 100,000 first printing. Tour.
I bought this book several years ago and am currently clearing off some books from my bookshelves in order to better organize the ones I decide to keep. I thought I had read this already, but I was wrong. It is a delightful book filled with letters from famous women to their friends.
The author added some words of her own, and I especially appreciated her personal postscript.
This is a book you can read in tiny increments, but you may not want to stop once you get started. It won't take long to read, and you may find that you continue to think about some of these letters long after you close the book.
I think this one has a reserved spot on my bookshelf for years to come.
I just read this again for the second time. I enjoyed it immensely BOTH times. I've always loved reading heartfelt letters and this book is full of them. I was struck over and over again by how incredibly warm and affectionate and open and supportive women are with one another.
