Voyagers #4

Endeavor

Rate this book
Challenging the status quo in Hollywood doesn’t make me the most popular director in showbiz lately. Suing a former studio exec for almost ruining my life twelve years ago, even less so. But I’ve worked hard to get where I am, I’m not staying silent anymore. While filming my latest movie in Thailand, I get word that my legal case is moved up and in addition, there’s another threat to my life. But I’m not backing down. And I have all the support I need from the two men who’ve occupied all my thoughts lately - my sarcastic lawyer, Aiden Barstock, and my faithful bodyguard, Alex Sheffield. Did I mention that I’m falling for both men? Yeah, my life is complicated. But I know in my heart that Aiden and Alex are meant to be mine. Now all I have to do is convince them that three is not a crowd, it’s the perfect number. My work as a barrister is my sole passion. And my personal life? I keep it casual. I don’t believe in love. I thought I was in love once, but it turned out I was a fool. Fool me once and never again. Until a work trip to Thailand to prep my client, Jared Elwood, changes everything. Suddenly I’m alone with Jared, and his bodyguard, Alex Sheffield. Two men who become so much more than friends when circumstances bring us together. They see beyond my snark to the vulnerabilities I keep hidden. And now I risk being a fool again. Not over one man, but two. I was trained by the British military for a life of service but after the death of my closest mate, I entered private protection. Being Jared Elwood's bodyguard is no easy matter. Crazed fans, angry stalkers - you name it, Jared attracts it. He brings out all my protective instincts and there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for him, including laying down my own life. But Jared’s latest film is interrupted by a threat that’s far too real and likely connected to the lawsuit he’s filed. Now his brash barrister, Aiden Barstock, is along for the ride, and suddenly things get intense. It’s not just Jared I would die to protect, it’s Aiden too. One endeavor binds all three of us together. For now, or forever? Endeavor is a friends to lovers, boss-employee, MMM romance filled with snarky banter, wild shenanigans, and an HEA to make even the most cynical heart swoon. This is Book Four of the Voyagers’ one superyacht, four love stories that span the globe.

All in all this was better than I expected. 3,75 stars.
Hot yet sweet MMM romance.
Jared (actor/director), Jared's attorney Aidan, and Jared's bodyguard have been attracted to each other for months/years. During a week together (because of threats to Jared's safety) they get closer, their attraction and chemistry as well as their feelings for each other get stronger. They have to face the death threats, and fall into an affectionate relationship with lots of sex (no kinks).

This was a sexy, enjoyable MMM story that made me swoon, smile, tear-up, laugh, angry (at bad guys)! The 3 men came together for the case, but stayed due to their intense connection. So happy to have gotten this #ARC. I devoured it in around 7hrs, Loved Jared, Alex, Aiden!

Jared is a sweet, kind, American actor turned director who's sueing the studio exec who SA-ed him years ago. With him are his British bodyguard Alex (Ex-Miltary), stoic, protective & observant. & His British Lawyer Aiden, snarky, bold.

The 3 have known eachother for months, but it's not until they're in Thailand at a shoot, in Voyager ship, that the lines get crossed.
Gosh, they're so sweet, mature even. The build up's good, chemistry is HOTTT! Relationship is lowish angst & they talk like adults. Liked how they took care of eachother & lived their truth 🥰.
The case & stalker gave this a thrill aspect which is handled well, fast & realistically.

Loved the HEA! This was my 1st book by Ava, I liked the side characters & will be checking their books out!

4.5 stars. I always have such high hopes for MMM stories as I am very particular on how I like the relationships to go. This one was done so well! I need throuple relationships to be equal and for all of them to be in it together and I 100% felt that with these three.

Right from the start as we got to know all the characters better they had great sexual tension and a wonderful awareness of each other. I loved that they didn’t rush into anything. They had time to think about how everything in their lives would be impacted. I loved seeing them grow and their first intimate scene was incredible!

Jared, Alex and Aiden were great together and I loved how the side plot really helped to bring them together more. I enjoyed the little bit of tension we felt from outside sources. I did feel that Aiden changed his mind too quickly regarding wanting to be with the other two but other than that the whole story was awesome and I loved their HEA!

I also really enjoyed being able to see all the characters from prior books. I would suggest reading in order just to get the feel for all the couples. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

I wanna start this review by saying when I picked it up it said reading the previous books was not required, but I strongly disagree. When this story starts it feels like it’s continuing on from something, and that we’re already supposed to know what happened with Jared since things were only mentioned in passing a bit into the book. I feel like this really impacted my read and I had no emotional connection to the characters or their story because I wasn’t told it. So I think people who’ve read the previous books would have a better time reading this than I did.

This is a very low angst book considering the issues Jared is facing. It was almost too low angst for me, I felt like everything resolved way too easily. I hate relationship angst, but things felt much too easy between Jared, Alex and Aiden. I wasn’t looking for drama between them, but they settled into being a throuple so easily and everything was just too perfect for me. It felt a bit unrealistic.

Honestly this is closer to a two star read for me, but I think it deserves an extra star because it’s not the books fault that I wasn’t aware of how necessary the previous books were. I can’t say for certain if long time readers won’t have the same issues I did with the lack of drama, but having the connection to the characters might make a lot of difference in how enjoyable this book is.

Well colour me surprised.

I tend to avoid MMM/MMM+ as it's just not my thing. Whenever I am tempted I generally find I just feel the balance in the relationship is off which is why I don't enjoy them.

But I've enjoyed this series and while intrigued by Jared and Alex in the previous instalments, I've bloody loved Aiden in every appearance he's made and essentially it was my desire to read his HEA that made me read this (in trepidation initially).

First off thank you to the author for being consistent with the characters. Can't tell you how many times I've loved a side character in a series only to really not by the time their book comes along as their personality / likeability completely changes. I'm pleased to say Aiden was exactly as I thought he'd be. I also loved getting Alex and Jared's back stories and just watching these men who for varying reasons don't feel like they deserve love, fall in love and accept love from each other.

I felt the pacing was done well, there was some back and forth initially but I liked that. Due to their pasts and the nature of their current circumstances, I'm glad they didn't jump straight into sexy times. Once they did it was hot y'all!🌶🌶🌶

Most importantly for me, this relationship felt equal and they were all protective and possessive of each other. At times it felt more tell than show and I Would have liked to see them interacting more as a couple once the relationship was out in the open, but it didn't take away from my enjoyment.

Would definitely recommend and very much looking forward to the next book in the series.

Just when I thought that I could not love this series any more, Ava Olsen gave us Jared, Alex and Aiden's story and it was Freaking EPIC! I have loved these character from the previous books and I knew that their story was going to be perfection, I was right. All three of these men were broken, one jilted by love, one feeling unworthy of love and the other mourned for a love that never was. There was an unbelievable depth of emotion to this story which added to the perfection of this relationship. These three together were a powder keg of chemistry and angsts so when they all let themselves go...HOLY HELL, it was sexy AF! I absolutely adored these men together, they were romantic, they were protective, they were surprisingly emotional (which made me melt) and they were so much fun. They fit like the perfect 3 piece puzzle, they had a hard fought HEA and the epilogue...OMG, I've been smiling for days!!! I absolutely recommend this book and if you have not picked up this series in it's entirety please do, it's one of the best series that I have ever read. Ava Olsen has put together an amazing series with some of the best written characters, I cannot wait to read Charlie's story next ❤️.

* I received an ARC from GRR, this is my open and honest review *

Ava is an author I am so glad I found. I found her through this series and I have thoroughly enjoyed everyone of them. I appreciate being able to read an early copy.

We’ve met the three men in previous books. Aiden is a sassy mouthed Barrister and he is shut off to love. Nope. Been there done that no more. He is representing Jared, a well known movie producer, who was assaulted years ago and out to nail the *****. Lol. Alex is Jared bodyguard. He is very closed off and will do anything to protect Jared. Even from himself.

These three come together on the “love ship” and the ship does its job as usual. Lol I loved seeing all three men let go. Let go of their pasts and find their future with each other. Will it be easy? No but they are willing to put in the work to find that peace, love, and happiness.

I really can’t say how much I love this series. They found family, the friendships and support, and most of all love they all have found. I really can’t wait for the novella which I think will finish the series 😥. I highly recommend picking up book one and falling in love

A Joyfully Jay review.

3 stars

Endeavor is the fourth book in the Voyagers series and can be read as a standalone. While other couples make an appearance, none of them play any real role in the plot. The series is, on the whole, a lot of fluff and fun with an emphasis on characters and the relationship, with the romance usually being a quiet simmer in the background. This book, though, puts a greater emphasis on the love story between the three men, with the lawsuit and stalker plot fading quickly into the background.

The author has a talent for banter, especially in the first two books in the series. Here, however, Alex and Aiden were fine on their own, but every three-way conversation ended up feeling lifeless as everyone had to get their share, and personalities fell aside in favor of the three men falling into bed.

Every book in this series has brought me joy, it’s always a swoony & sweet time with smoking chemistry. We’ve met the 3 men a little throughout the series and the tease was worth the wait, they’re all so opposite but damn their connection is good when they all get together. Aiden is a hard ass lawyer who hates love and it’s so much fun watching him fall. Jared is a totally cute American actor turned director who is going through it dealing with some past trauma and Alex is Jared’s bodyguard, and the way he is fierce and protective will make you all swoony! This boat has magical powers and can definitely bring those who seem impossible together, because these 3 were kind of cold and snarky until they all got on that boat together. It’s fun in the sun, with just the right amount of plot to keep you guessing how they will find their HEA.

Not my favourite of the series, but I enjoyed reading it and getting to know Alex, Jared and Aiden better. The intense feelings that the three had for each other were obviously something special. The storyline itself was good, I liked the mystery and how it played out. Also the characters were well done, the bond between them growing exponentially stronger as they accepted their situation and feelings for one another. It's actually a very romantic and sweet love story, I liked the laughter, support, encouragement, and heat between the three guys, but most importantly the closeness they shared. The ending was lovely.

After finishing each book in this series, I’ve thought ‘I need the next one yesterday’, but none more than this one. The premise was set up well in the previous book and I knew from books 1-3 that I’d love these characters and story. Alex, Aiden and Jared were undeniable from the off and slotted easily into each other’s lives and desires, as much as they (Aiden!) tried to run away from his feels. I could very easily read many more books set on this boat and never get bored.

Fourth book in the Voyagers series and each book has gotten better than the last. This book is hot and I mean really hot. Jared, Aiden and Alex are hinted at in the previous books and it does help if you have read what comes before but not vital. I really enjoyed the subplot of the stalking and court case as well because it gave the story substance.

A bodyguard protecting a Hollywood producer who is being stalked, along with a lawyer who is defending, said Hollywood producer. They shouldn't work. However, they totally do.  This is my first by this author. It's definitely not my last. I love finding new authors. This is a standalone with a HEA. However, I do want to go back and read the previous books to read their stories.

This book was sweet and cute and all but mostly it was lacking. I expected a trial- nope. I expected a showdown with the villain- nope. I expected at least some stalker-villain dramatic scene - nope. The disagreements were solved immediately. I mean there was one scene when Aidan was a commitment phobic asshole. 5 book minutes later (not real time, I mean one or two pages later) everything is fine and they announce their relationship? What the actual fuck? The sex scenes were nothing you didn’t read before. So all in all Not the worst mmm I’ve ever read but I wouldn’t give a ringing endorsement.

Loved, loved, loved. This fourth book in the Voyagers series was exactly what I was anticipating and exactly what I wanted for Alex, Jared, Aiden. Our bodyguard, our director, and our barrister (lawyer). They were perfect for each other and each had their own personalities and distinct characteristics. Ava Olsen has become an author I really enjoy, this series especially. The characters, the storyline, and the steamy romance have all worked so well in each book.

I adored these three together. Jared is our sassy, beautiful film director. He is strong, fierce and brave for himself and his men. Alex is Jared's bodyguard who is somewhat guarded and very orderly and protective. His career fits him perfectly but this man also has a soft and needy side just waiting to be brought out by not one but two me. And then last but not least we have Aiden our barrister (lawyer) who is charming and witty, bossy and confident who may not believe in love anymore but who no matter how practiced he is cannot lawyer his way out of two men's open and tender hearts. THEY ARE GREAT! I did not want for ANYTHING in this trio as they embodied every characteristic I hope for in my male characters. The circumstance which have brought these men together is tragic and Jared's hardest battle yet. Alex and Aiden are both very important roles in Jared's journey and recovery and I loved how the events all played out. And being back on Now, Voyager in Thailand was amazing. Ava aways chooses awesome settings and the detail is wonderful.

The flow of the story as well as the connect between our men was really kind of perfect. Oh man the pining and the flirting and the toeing the line of professional and passion kept this story going perfectly. The steamy bits, dear lord they were good. There are so many good moments from them all trying to deny the pull and then slowly watching the walls fall away. They form and understanding of one another and a very strong bond that is only enhanced when they fall into bed together. The dirty talk, the roles these men fell into so easily together, and the love I felt while reading was more than I expected. If you are a fan of poly MMM romances you need not look further. Alex, Jared, and Aiden encompass it all. And Ava seriously squeezed in one scene which I am partial to in my MMM stories and she did it so well and just in the nick of time! Oh without spoiling the surprise there is an extra wonderful surprise on one of our guys (yay!!).

And with all the steam and passion Ava still managed to give us an interesting and powerful storyline. From Jared's journey, and Alex's confessions and Aiden's revelations, they all mattered. Ava even had me flat crying at one point. That's just good writing!

This series has been so so good. I have loved it from beginning to now and with Nauti or Nice: A Voyagers Christmas Novella being the final book/novella I will be sad to say goodbye to this world.

I'm giving this one 4.5 stars rounded to 5!

I've been loving the Voyagers series, and Jared, Alex, and Aiden's story was no exception! It was pretty obvious from the previous book that these three were feeling something for each other, but their journey in this book went so much deeper than I anticipated. Aside from the obvious conflicts of interest, these men all had scars from their pasts holding them back from pursuing a romantic relationship, and I really enjoyed digging into each of the characters and seeing them open up and get closure over the course of the book. Jared's trauma was central to the main storyline, surrounding his assault, and it was truly heartbreaking to hear him recount what happened to him in preparation for the lawsuit he was building. I thought some of the memories could be pretty triggering for survivors, and the details can be skipped without making the story confusing if needed. Alex and Aiden had their own reasons for avoiding a relationship--fear of losing a loved one or experiencing betrayal--but despite their initial caution, their mutual attraction to Jared was hard to resist. As they spent time on the boat and on set, they kept gravitating together, sexual tension building and building until it finally reached a breaking point during a rare day off from work. Once they admitted their attraction wasn't going away, the floodgates opened for some delightfully steamy mornings, afternoons, and evenings--really any time they could steal away to be together. Along the way I got to see each man open up and share their vulnerable side with each other, and it was wonderful to see the way they supported and cared for each other during those emotional moments. For me, the softer moments were what really made me feel like Aiden, Jared, and Alex were falling in love, even though they didn't say the words for quite a while. They showed me multiple times that they would be there for each other through any situation, and that's what made me confident that they would make their relationship work even with their busy schedules. Oh, the real world tried to intrude on their happiness--from well-meaning friends to excited families and individuals with malicious intent, just about everything that could have thrown a wrench into Jared, Aiden, and Alex's relationship did. At the end of the day, these men made the choice to stick together, even when it wasn't the easy way out, and their love was such a beautiful thing to see, especially that sweet scene from the epilogue.

**I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.

My first with this author, and I loved it ! A marvelous MMM, throuple story with romance, deep passion and a relationship for a lifetime.
JARED, a movie director and artist,

with long dark hair, (on cover) is going to film in Thailand. He has a lovely personality, and quick wit. He also has a lawsuit against an abuser.
AIDEN is Jared's Lawyer,

a Brit/Italian with Ginger hair and hazel eyes, who wears suits mostly. He's fun, plus is sarcastic and in charge.
ALEX, 34, a British bodyguard

after his Special Forces Military service. His eyes are blue, his head is shaved, and is a huge and muscled guy with many tattoos. Protection is his life and he does so for Jared and Aiden, too.

In Thailand, they are staying on the ship, New Voyager, docked in Bangkok. We get light tension, wit and banter with these close men, and an exciting tale with lots of anticipation, deep thoughts, and more. The three men have some sexual heat that they keep fighting against.... until they give in.

The adventure they set on is not easy. They are intense, fearful at times and chaotic, as many things are going on. They take a few days for a getaway that is eye-opening.

The movie making carries on, but there are strange situations, and Jared is still receiving threats.
The men slowly come together amidst the twists and turns. Evidence is building for the lawsuit, a break in, and much more.

The men's relationship is solid and loving,

plus their sexy times are scorching hot and vers. We get detailed loving sessions that are tremendous, where Aiden's control is very erotic.

I liked the story and epilogue, and I'm ready to read more from this author.
ENJOY !

These 3 men captured my heart and I absolutely loved their story! Jared is a very famous actor, turned director, who is suing a studio executive for SA. Because of the publicity of the case Jared has attracted a stalker. This puts his loyal bodyguard Alex on high alert and while Jared is making his new movie they will stay on a boat because Alex thinks it will be safer and he can keep a better eye out for danger. Aiden, who is Jared's lawyer, starts getting harassing messages too. Aiden goes to the boat so he can start to prep Jared for the trial. The side characters in this book bring so much to the story. The men's friends teasing them about the boat causing relationships to develop, them teasing about their throuple relationship and of course the relationship between Aiden and his assistant Lairin. There's also Alex's and Aiden's families pushing their way in! 😂 This is a slow burn so when the men finally give into one another it's so hot! Jared is the mushy heart, Alex is steadfast and brutish and Aiden's cocky and has a hard exterior. But has the relationship develops you can feel the character growth especially in Aiden. He starts to show his soft marshmallow side while also becoming fiercely protective of both Jared and Alex. The separation they have to endure totally gutted me but the phone call 🔥🥵🔥makes it worth it. All the sacrifices they make for one another and their relationship so where they end up is even that much sweeter!

“I just couldn’t go another minute without telling you how I feel. I can’t promise things will be perfect from here on out. Have patience with me. I’ll probably make mistakes, but know that it has nothing to do with you and everything to do with me. But I promise you this. I will be the man you both deserve. The man who loves you without question.” 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

"I reveled in her exuberance and yes, even my silly nickname. No matter what, my sister was the sun shining through a cloudy day." 🥲😭🥹 - Ava totally attacking my heart!

I am leaving my honest review for a complimentary copy of this book via the author.

4.5/5 I found this book more intense than the others in the series, I think both because we were wrangling three men instead of two but also because of the subject matter. Dealing with Jared’s lawsuit (and the threats) was rough at times, and it brought a harder edge of seriousness than I remember from the other books (though they certainly had serious topics as well). I thought the book did a good job of showing how draining and painful this kind of event can be, while also showing the possibilities of helping on a path of healing. (There were some people I really hated in this book. And some who were totally awesome.)

Alex, Jared, and Aiden had chemistry from the moment we saw them together earlier in the series, and it was lovely to get to concentrate on them and see how this plays out here. It was wonderful to see how they each cared so much in their own ways, and to watch their resistance crumble in the face of getting what they never knew they always wanted. It was so very clear that they were good for one another. I often worry with a triad that someone will feel left out, but with these three, they were so deeply intertwined all together that concern never crossed my mind. I truly enjoyed the friendly, caring times they had at least as much as anything more intimate. They were three guys who so clearly needed more in their lives. (And I liked how sensible Alex was getting Kiernan involved. Sure, the three of them weren’t always 100% professional, but they weren’t stupid, either.)

Alex’s and Aiden’s families were awesome and funny, Dylan is a hilarious pain in the butt for those three, Lairin was worth her weight in gold, and it was just lots of fun to see all that banter. I loved just how much happier they were at the end, even when they had to figure out lots of things about their lives.

Can’t wait for Kiernan and Charlie’s story!

I received an ARC from the author. This is my honest review.

Book 4 in the Voyager series is another great read. Jared, a movie director, is in Thailand filming a movie, protected by his bodyguard Alex. At the same time, Aiden, Jared’s lawyer, is pursuing a case on Jared’s behalf for sexual assault 12years ago. Aiden flies out to prep Jared for the upcoming court case, and all three are stationed on the yacht Now, Voyager (famous in the other 3 books as a Love Boat, due to the other three couples who have found their forever other while on the yacht) as the story unfolds. Jared is attracted to Alex, but has no sense that he reciprocates the feelings. Jared is also attracted to Aiden, but Aiden isn’t into relationships. Alex is attracted to both Aiden and Jared, but denying it to himself, and Aiden is attracted to both men, while denying it, too.
Jared has been receiving threats for several months, and they continue while on the yacht. Alex continues to try to trace the origin of the threats while protecting Alex, and once Aiden is included in the threats, concern raises for all three as they start to realize, then accept, this mutual attraction. As the attraction grows and proximity contributes to temptation, the three must navigate all the things in their regular lives along with the growing emotional connections and physical desires, trying to decide if they can each handle being part of a throuple.
Not without problems and additional threats, the Love Boat works its magic again, and the three finally get to their HEA.
I love all three main characters and the baggage each brings into the start of the relationship, how each supports the others in dealing with their past baggage, and work to use it to strengthen the new bonds. Former couples show up on the yacht, and the groundwork is laid for the next “victims” for the love connection. Enjoyable read, many interesting characters, a plot that is varied but moves the story along, and a satisfactory ending for all. What more could one want?

sort of split on this one

I waffled a bit about reviewing this book because I didn’t want the rating to be misconstrued as about the spice. It’s more to do with how I ended up skimming the entire ending after the major conflict resolution with my eyes rolling from the silliness of it all. I do not know why chapters have to begin with time skips but these literally go “one week later” and I swear I hear it in the bikini bottom narrators voice. And it was almost every chapter. This book worked best when there was a mystery to solve, and someone to protect. It did not work well when it was “time passes” they fall on each other. “More time passes” visit family and a cemetery. “Time passes again” hey let’s get married….ish. The narration up to that point was about paparazzi and gossip rags, solving the stalker…The consequences of that almost … non existent after the initial blow up at the law office in England. The cameras are there, then they aren’t, then..silence.
Which brings up another issue with this group of men. It’s spicy I’ll give you that, but the spice read a bit like “let’s pick a scene out of a hat”. Some of the mechanics felt a bit weird (from an anatomical geometry sort of way) and when you are dealing with three not two bodies at times I gave up trying to figure out who was where and skipped.
First half was fun. And the investigation and some legal stuff was interesting. The film set was largely forgettable (which is sad because I love watching production crews work and Thailand is a beautiful setting) because it’s a romance, once they admit their feeling for each other it’s all hands on deck and kind of funny honestly. The bad guy was icky but didn’t feel like a major threat. Our bodyguards stink at their jobs but look good doing it.

Final rating, 3.5 stars.

This series truly never disappoints. I was curious to see how Ava would handle a 3some, and I have to say I really enjoyed their book. I don’t know if it’s the story or the fantastic characters, but I never wanna get off this love boat!
To say that Aiden, Alex, and Jared had a lot going on would be an understatement. Between Jared’s lawsuit handled by Aiden, the threats against him handled by Alex, Aiden’s refusal to start a committed relationship, and Alex’s PTSD, these men already had a very full life. I enjoyed it immensely that they all started out from a friendship of sorts … friendly boss in Jared’s case, friendly banter in Alex and Aiden’s case. The development of their throuple was natural, and I never felt for one second that any one of them would be left out. I also loved how different their personalities were, but they fit together perfectly. Alex is the natural protector of the group, Jared is affectionate and gentle, bossy Aiden has the strongest snark. Yet, each man had to deal with their own mental blocks differently … Alex had to get over his guilt and start a journey of healing, Aiden had to get over his broken heart and be open to the possibility of a true partnership, and Jared had to let himself to be wanted. Their sex scenes were incredibly hot, of course, I would have expected nothing less from Ava after so many great intimate scenes in each book. I’m 100% sure you’ll all enjoy this poly book as much as I did!

Jared, Alex and Aiden may all be opposite on the outside but their souls are drawn to each other no matter how much they try and fight the forbidden aspect of them being together.

I have been intrigued by these three throughout the entire series and was excited to dive into their book. The three men did not disappoint. They have amazing banter between them as well as some undeniable chemistry that burned bright once they lit the flames.

I can not wait for the next unsuspecting men to climb aboard the Now, Voyager and get their own happily ever after.

Get ready for... mmm, celebrity, bodyguard, lawyer, grumpy/sunshine, forbidden, workplace, British heroes, suspense, told in the multiple first-person points of view.

Content... stalking, mental health (anxiety, depression, PTSD, panic attacks), assault (sexual, poisoning), death of a loved one, harassment, alcohol (addiction)

4.5 Maple Leafs / 5 Flames / 4 Tears

Sweet throuple

Jared is a film director in the middle of a lawsuit against a former employer; he’s also being harassed by an unknown person. So he has both a bodyguard and a lawyer. He’s also got the hots for said bodyguard (Alex) and lawyer(Aiden). As it turns out, they both are hot for him and each other too. Now they’re all aboard the Now Voyager super yacht. Close proximity, some danger, and a magic boat mean these three are probably going to fall in love 😁

I really enjoy the chemistry between these three. They each have emotional baggage reasons why they’re reluctant to get involved as well as ethical reasons, so it takes time before they give in. The fact that they have been working together for a long time made it clear this wasn’t infatuation or insta-love.

I also really liked the side characters and the way they all banter back and forth. I especially liked Dylan—so funny!

Mild spoilers to follow

While I enjoy romances without a third act breakup, this one left me feeling like there was something missing. I kept waiting for the point of the scenes. Once the guys were in a committed throuple, and the harassment issue was resolved, the story went on too long without enough tension to keep it compelling. I kept reading because I wanted to know what they ended up doing, but I skimmed a lot 😬

Another factor was that the dialogue between the guys once they were together could be a bit “on the nose.”

Overall, it was a sweet story with some fun steamy moments. I’m glad they got their HEA.

ENDEAVOR is the fourth book in the Voyagers series and I'm really hoping isn't the end! After all, as was pointed out, Charlie hasn't found love yet. Please tell me there is more to come!

Anyway, back to this one...

Jared, Alex, and Aiden are all characters we have met in the previous books. Alex is Jarad's bodyguard, and Aiden is his lawyer. The sparks have been there for all to see but they haven't acted on for numerous reasons. But then they stay on Now, Voyager and the love spell works once again.

This was a hard read in places, dealing with stalkers, sexual assault, depression and PTSD, to name just a couple of topics. However, they are perfectly written, with no quick fixes, just understanding and compassion.

It was also hot as hell, and not just because they're in Thailand for part of it! They may have a multitude of reasons, but once they decide to go for it, phew! Hold onto your hats! Hot and steamy and so full of feelings.

Once I started this, I couldn't put it down. Absolutely fantastic and HIGHLY recommended by me.

Just... please tell me there's another book. Please?!

I loved Jared, Alex, and Aiden! Endeavor is book four in Ava Olsen's Voyagers series, and the romance has been teased in previous books. It is a sexy and swoony MMM romance that made me laugh and tear up throughout the story.

Jared is a sweetheart American actor turned director who had to retain Alex and Aiden's services due to a lawsuit against a studio exec who SA-ed him years ago. Alex is a no-nonsense British ex-military bodyguard who is stoic, protective, and observant. Aiden is a snarky, bold British barrister who is always quick with his barbs.

It's been shown previously that Jared was interested in both Aiden and Alex. Dylan, whose romance was featured in book two of the series, has caught on to Jared and teases him about it at the beginning of the book. Dylan mentions that Now, Voyager, the yacht they are staying on, is known for bringing couples together.

Jared, Alex, and Aiden have known each other for months, but they begin to cross the lines when they are in Thailand on Now, Voyager. The romance is really sweet, and the build-up and chemistry are top-tier! The relationship is low-angst, and they have mature conversations. I liked how they all came together to take care of each other.

The harassment of Jared was handled realistically, and there was a great resolution to that conflict. I loved their HEA, and this book has solidified Ava Olsen as an auto-buy author for me.

Thank you to Ava Olsen for the ARC copy.

4.5 🔥🔥🔥🔥✨ This was too hot for stars.

Alex, Jared and Aiden were on fire 🔥 I'm surprised they didn't set Now Voyager alight. Their romance is definitely the hottest of the series and I loved every minute of it.

I enjoyed the whole mystery about who was threatening Jared. Things certainly ramped up in this book, now that the court case was imminent and the bad guy was about to lose everything he was pulling out all the stops. I loved how Alex and Aiden rallied around Jared determined to protect him while leaving their hearts susceptible to real feelings. Alex and Aiden certainly tried to fight their attraction to each other and to Jared, but alas it was too strong and I was entertained by their behaviour at times while they were still in denial, but it certainly worked out well for the three of them in the end. I do love a good MMM romance and this had plenty of chemistry as well as emotional connection and past trauma that needed to be dealt with by each man, together they were strong enough to overcome anything.

The setting of Thailand was great, I've been there and explored some of it myself and this made me want to get back there and explore some more.

I always love catching up with the cast of characters from the previous books and I'm glad to see all their romances are still going strong, there is definitely a love curse on the Now Voyager, if only I could jump on board.
