I decided to review these together since it is a series. However, I believe it would be okay to read them separately or out of order. I believe you can understand more of the back story if you read them in order, but I think they could easily be read on their own also and still be enjoyable.

Back in high school, I remember a librarian taking me around the library trying to help me find books I was interested in. I really hated reading when I was younger. I just couldn’t seem to find anything I liked. This librarian introduced me to mystery books and I finally found something I could read without wanting to put it down after a few pages.

I hadn’t read any mystery books in years though and these books reminded me how much I enjoy mysteries. I really enjoyed these books because I also enjoy Christian Romance/Love Stories. I don’t like the hard-core, I’m-in-the-bedroom-with-you type romances, but I really enjoy the more toned down, real life romance stories, which is what the Love Inspired selections of books is all about. This series is a great combination of the love story aspect along with mystery/suspense. I honestly did not want to put these books down, which is to say a lot for a book for me. Even though I really enjoy reading, there are few books that I really just want to keep reading and reading and reading until the end without breaks!

I also enjoyed this series because it didn’t give too much away. I couldn’t figure out the whole twist and/or bad person too soon in the story, which is also great for me. I don’t like figuring out “who did it” in the second chapter of a book because then it’s more likely I’ll put the book down & not even finish it – unless it’s like a Columbo movie! These books were all wonderful because they held my attention & didn’t give too much away & were really page-turners for me!

I think I actually preferred this one to the first book, Hide in Plain Sight, and I could definitely tell how Marta's writing had matured since the initial novel in this trilogy. While I did have an inkling of who was behind the mystery in this one, the conclusion wasn't quite as sudden as in the first book, where the "bad guy" had given a big monologue that explained everything. The climax of Buried Sins seemed a lot more realistic and things were revealed gradually over the final chapters. Marta's definitely good at creating suspense and this was not a book that I wanted to put down, especially late at night! I'll admit that, hey, Love Inspired Suspense books aren't always entirely original and could seem a bit repetitive if you read a lot of them at once, but Marta always puts a unique spin on her romantic suspense novels. I loved the details about Caroline's jewellery and her passion for art, as well as the minor mystery surrounding the unusual quilt they found. It was nice to catch up with the rest of the Unger family again in this book. While I skipped #2 in the series I didn't feel like I'd missed out on anything as these are all technically standalone books. A very enjoyable read that kept me on my toes as I tried to figure out the mystery. Not my favourite romantic suspense novel but I'll definitely be reading more from Marta in the future, 8/10.

Great book...I love Marta Perry's books. At least this series, since it is the first that I have read by her. She is a great writer. I was hooked on the book from chapter one. She has enough mystery through out the book that keeps you reading. The great thing is that the middle is just as intense to keep you interested. It's not until the last chapter that she reveals who is behind the mystery, love that!

Buried Sins & Hide in Plain Sight were both in the same book. Both had lots of action. This one had Andrea's sister Caroline who was the rebellious one and had been in lots of trouble in her life. The family had not seen her for a long long time. When she returns to the Amish country the family did not realize she was running away from problems that she brought with her. Excellent reading!

I am saving it for you Tiffeny!!

A friend sent me this book in a box of books. I think I have read at least one other book from The Three Sisters subseries though I couldn't tell you much about it if you asked. I know the author's name is familiar also, so I am sure I've read books by her before.

The mystery was good. I didn't anticipate all the twists and turns it took. I too thought gambling when the man approached Caroline in Sante Fe. I did finally guess one of the people behind it after an obscure clue caught my interest--and I had sort of suspected the other person also but later discarded that for the most part.

I could understand Caroline's uneasiness around law enforcement. It's always a bit nerve-wracking to be around them, I think. But after we find what happened to her at 16, it is more understandable. I was surprised that no one reached out to the grandparent when they couldn't find the mother, but . . . I know little of how law enforcement for juveniles works, so that might be the norm--plus it sounds like the officer involved wasn't on the straight and narrow like he should have been, so he might not have done everything in the "by the book" way.

The history of the quilt was interesting to me. I think I vaguely remember mention of quilts being used in the underground railroad, but I didn't realize there were specific patterns used also. It makes sense. I did guess that part slightly before the author revealed it, though I didn't guess how it tied in with the story until that was revealed by the author.

Jewelry artist Caroline is the youngest sister, the rebel, the one with the fewest memories of her grandparents and their home and the one to have been harmed the most by her feckless mother. Caro's coping mechanism has always been to runaway when things get tough. And things in Santa Fe are about as tough as they can get. Her husband of a month is dead, she is being threatened, she is discovering more and more that her husband spun a web of lies around her. So she uprooted, leaves a letter of resignation at the gallery where she worked, and ran away - home to the Three Sisters Inn.

Where she is pulled over for speeding as she arrives in town by handsome, burly, poker-faced Zach, the police chief. He knows something is off, and sure enough trouble has followed Caro from Santa Fe as someone leaves hints that maybe her husband isn't dead. Meantime, Caro starts restoring an historic quilt and becomes involved in local craft shows, and begins to feel a sense of homecoming, of having a place to settle. Along the way Zach and Caro grow closer as the mysteries and dangers around her escalate.

Caroline is on the run. After her husbands unexpected death, she finds herself being theatened to pay her husbands debts. She is beginning to wonder if she even knew her husband of two months. She moves back to her family’s home in Amish country but can she make it a home again without looking over her shoulder? This story had a nice flow and good level of action to keep the reader’s attention.

I think I liked this novel the best of the three in the Three Sister's Inn trilogy. There was more action and mystery than in the other books. I will say that there are some similar plot details in it. It is a quick, easy, safe read that provides good escape.

Good! I like learning about the Amish and their customs. The characters are Christian and remind us how God is present in our lives at all times. The story line keeps the reader interested ! Good read!

This is the first book I have read by Marta Perry, but the second book of the series.
While I don't read murder mysteries much, I really got into this one and enjoyed the guessing game of what's going on and who done it.
I enjoyed this book.

I was tired of this series by the time I got to this book. It was a cozy story, not overwhelmingly interesting and not suspenseful at all.

Interesting mystery with some parts I liked and some I didn’t. An okay read overall but I’m happy to have cleared a book that’s been on my TBR for over a decade!

I think this is the best in the series. There are two mysteries here, and both kept my interest throughout the book.

Caroline is a somewhat complicated and interesting character, very different from her two sisters, which we got to meet in the first two books of the series. Her romantic lead is character I learned to like and appreciate in A Christmas To Die For, and was not expecting him here, so that was a very nice surprise. The romance was touching: here you have two characters that have gone through a lot (she has to learn and want to trust again, he has to let go of his hurts and fears to love in peace), each with his/her own baggage, who find each other and give their hearts another chance, little by little. A very nice, beautiful thing to see.

The main mystery was very engaging and entertaining. Very good. The second mystery was much more easy to figure out, although nothing here is unpredictable. The book has a very nice pace; a quick and easy read. It can be read alone, but it really is much more enjoyable, interesting and satisfying when read as part of the series.

Cute romance, and yes, a very good mystery.

This is the third novel of The Three Sisters Inn trilogy, a combination of romance and suspense. This is the story of the youngest sister, Caroline, living in Sante Fe when her husband Tony is killed in an accident, under suspicious circumstances. She flees Santa Fe when a man there begins stalking her, and returns to Pennsylvania to her sisters and grandmother at the inn. However, trouble seems to have followed her, and local police chief Zach Burkhalter is determined to help Caroline and get to the bottom of it, even though Caroline is reluctant to accept his help after a bad experience with law enforcement she went through when a teenager. But when home turns out not be the safe place she expected, she is forced to let her guard down and learn to trust Zach.

This book seemed to have more religious overtones than the first two books, but not presented in a "preachy" way that would make readers who do not care for that uncomfortable. The romance part of the story was for the most part subtle and realistic; like the previous two books, the suspense was the main part of the story. I enjoyed this book, but I think the 2nd book of the series was the best out of the three.

Caroline decides to come back to her family in Pennsylvania after being confronted by someone of her recently deceased husband. She decides that it is best to start over and get away from it all. She learns that her late husband is not who he said he was. She meets Zach, the county sherriff, who is suspicious of her but as they get to know each other, they become friends. Will Caroline learn the truth of her husband's death?

This is the third book in the series, The Three Sister's Inn. I read the first one, Hide In Plain Sight, but I thought this one was much better. I really enjoy reading Love Inspired books! I read this one in a day. But I must admit that I listened to it on my kindle while I was knitting out on the deck on Sunday! LOL! Thanks Marta for writing another great book!

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.

4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.

5 stars... I loved this book! It had earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.

This is the 3d book in a series of three. This is the story of Caroline, the youngest of the three sisters. Rachel and her grandmother had opened The Three Sisters Inn and Caroline went home when her husband, Tony, was killed. There are many secrets her husband kept from her. After she moved, she met Zach Burkhalter, the police chief suspected there was something going on. Through many twists and turns, they finally discover that Tony had lied to her and her boss, Francine Carrington had also deceived her. After almost getting killed, Zach saves her life and she decides to stay at Three Sisters Inn and open up Three Sisters Arts ad Crafts Center.

Three Sisters Inn
Book 3

The suspense in this book was good. I had some figured out, but there were some surprised at the end. I think one of my favorite characters is Cal - I like how big brother he acted. Zach, though, was the hero in the story. He had a little girl that he didn't seem to spend much time with - but that's because the author spent a lot of time on the mystery and the Hampton sisters instead of Zach's story. I would have liked to see more father/daughter interaction.

I wasn't too impressed with the romance in this one. I never felt like they made much of a romantic impression on each other.

Another good book by Marta Perry. This is another series about the "Three sisters Inn". I enjoy a book that has a good story and has some Christian values intertwined in the story line. This is the second book in the series. Caroline has returned home "The Three Sisters Inn" after her husband has been killed in a car accident. She was living in the big city and now needed family. She worked at a art gallery and was not sure what she could do with her life. There is a love interest in this book but it takes a while to come through. I am looking forward to reading the next one.

This is the third in a series concerning three sisters. Good afternoon read, although the story is very predictable after reading the first book. All have the same format without any unexpected plot twists that the reader hasn't already figured out. The books also have a basic Christian theme returning people to their basic faith. If you are looking for a book to read while traveling or lying by the pool, this is OK

Have I mentioned lately just how much I love Marta Perry's books! The third book of the Three Sisters Inn series is probably my favorite.

Buried Sins, was an incredibly thrilling book. There were twists and turns at every corner. I was able to figure out "whodunnit" fairly quickly...but it was fun to figure out how and why. There were also little side mysteries that really made the book intriguing.

I can't wait to read Ms. Perry's other series!

This 3rd book was just as good as the other 2. Marta told a wonderful story. I could relate to her characters, I cried and prayed with Caroline and fell in love with Zach (although I am a sucker for a man in uniform and my husband is a policeman, so I am a little partial). The suspense kept me guessing and I couldn't put the book down. I hope there will be more books about the Three Sisters Inn. I enjoyed reading about them. I am going to look into more books written by Marta Perry!
