What would you do if you woke up as an Omega? All I wanted was to do was go camping to get away from it all. I was overworked, stressed, and neglected, with a man-child boyfriend to boot. But overnight, I woke up in a new place and my body is definitely going through some, shall we say, interesting changes. One where they tell me I’m an o mega . Suddenly, I’m being told I need to mind my perfume, find a scent match, and learn how to make a nest. Oh, and I have a heat coming soon, so I need to find not just one, but preferably multiple alphas to help me through it. I am not interested in a pack - I can barely stand having one man in my life! What’s a freshly turned omega to do?
One delicious pack, coming right up! Our pack has been hurt before. Declan, Dominic and I swore off omegas and anything to do with them after the disaster we went through in the past. But when the magnetic, mysterious little omega fell into my arms - literally - I have to wonder if it's fate. But how can we manage with an omega who doesn’t want a pack? Furthermore - how can we stay away when she smells so… very… delicious? She can deny the pull all she wants, but I can tell it’s getting harder and harder to resist us. We just need to show her we can be everything she never knew she needed. She’s definitely knot from around here!
I wanted to love it. But feels like a rough draft. Lots of terrible paragraphs breaks, walls of text that aren't grouped correctly dependent upon speaker--it's a mess in terms of grammar.
It has a very generic writing style. The first person perspective is a little stumped, and it's hard to stay present in the action because of that hiccuping detail sorting.
Lots of details don't quite line up, such as when she first gets there, this alternate universe reacts like this:
"When the police saw my cell phone, they had immediately taken it and asked questions about what brand it was and where it came from, asking what county it was made in, where I got it, and what technology it used."
So they don't recognize the branding of an iphone or whatever. Yet later in the text:
"He winked at me and led us out to the front of the building where a very nice, very expensive looking Rolls Royce was parked."
This universe has branding that matches up with her universe. So weird details like that become hinky as the story progresses. Draft revision and editing would have caught these.
On the topic of strange typos: my favorite was 'flip switched' instead of 'switch flipped.'
So it is what you make of it. The characters were nice, and the plot was engaging, it's just unfortunate it had so many weird things working against those two winning bits.
This was different but I really enjoyed it overall. I was super busy so I had Alexa read it to me so I didn’t notice any formatting idiosyncrasies. I really liked the premise of the story though. It could have used a wee bit more polish in certain spots but it was a quick fun read. I really loved the alternate world spin here.
It’s slow burn. The h has several TSTL moments which did make me roll my eyes. I wish the author had found a different way to handle that situation rather than having h out herself in danger, that would have been more enjoyable but it didn’t put a huge damper on the book.
Safety - there’s no cheating, one of the alphas and the beta pack member play solo together. The entire pack once seriously courted and almost bonded another omega previously but she betrayed them, they aren’t pining for her though they just don’t want to be hurt again.

- TSTL FMC that did not act her age - Inconsistent characterization - Being in a MM relationship isn't "playing" or all about sex - Weird pacing and incomplete world building - No feeling of true connection or emotional depth - Overly dramatic and not in a fun way
There was no reason to make this a portal fantasy. She could have just been a late-presenting Omega.
I feel like people who really liked this book have not read other books before. I skimmed the last quarter. I will not continue this series or read this author again.
That was one of the more unique twists I’ve seen for an omega awakening and I loved it. I will say there were times though when I really wanted to knock Piper upside the head lol. Did she have to be so bratty sometimes? Overall, really enjoyed the premise and the characters.
Yall!! This right here!!! If you love Omega awakening stories but don't want the “I've always been a beta” thing… this right here. I did not put this down. I read straight through. Luckily is only 250ish pages. I was hooked!
👍Omega awakening 👍 MM 👍🏻 growly Alpha 👍🏻 cinnamon roll alpha 👍🏻 Beta 👍🏻 heat 👍🏻 sweetverse 👍🏻 ooof a really good makeup
This book was terrible, honestly I have no other words for it. In defense of myself I had no electricity and I think I was going through something psychological. I will be taking no questions at this time.
Piper is an over-worked, over-stressed, perfectly normal woman who just needs to get away. On an overnight camping trip, she meets a man who gives her a strange coin and gives her a hint that she might just be destined to be somewhere else. When she wakes up, she's in an entirely different world. A world that is part of the Omegaverse, and she is rapidly changing into an Omega right before the eyes of a very compatible Alpha. Now, she finds herself in a world where her designation is revered and cloistered, and she is quickly approaching her heat. She has to reconcile herself with the facts that she is in a new world, monogamy is a rarity, and she's going to have to let go of control and allow others to take care of her.
So, the concept of the story is great. Just great. I love the idea of a perfectly normal woman waking up as a remarkable Omega. That's the sole reason this book got 2.5 stars from me, honestly. The entirety of the book - with the exception of the epilogue - was Piper coming to terms with what she was and her becoming semi-acquainted with her pack (while resisting the idea of packs in general). Honestly, I didn't like most of the main characters - not you Declan. Declan - the only Beta! - was a burst of sunshine.
At the start of the book, Aiden is closed off, seemingly utterly destroyed by the actions of an omega from their past. That lasts all of two seconds. The second he comes across Piper again, he is all about signing is pack up to court her. He chucks all caution to the wind and throws himself into the dating pool face-first. Eh, okay. It's not really believable, but okay.
Dominic, though. From the way the pack was described, I fully expected Dominic to be the hopeful cinnamon roll who doted on his omega. But, no dice. Dominic is an absolute jerk. He is horrendous to Piper from the beginning, and while I do understand it at first - we'll get to ridiculous Omegas who should probably watch the crap they say in a minute - some of the things he says and does to Piper later on are just unforgivable. He treats her like crap until the moment he finds out they're fated for each other, and then his attitude turns on a dime. No, thank you very much.
Piper. Ohhhhhhhhhhh, Piper. Piper is a hot mess. The first time she is planning to meet the entire pack as a whole, she gets on the phone with a fellow omega friend - while standing in the pack's front yard - and says some of the most mean-spirited, harsh things about the pack that I could possibly imagine. All within earshot of Dominic. I almost put the book down there. I don't like mean girls, and I certainly don't want to read about one who is having the world placed at her feet. But, I kept in mind the loss of control and the change and decided to give her some grace and moved on.
But here's the problem. She's been over-worked, under-paid, unloved, and burned out for as long as she can remember. And, suddenly, she finds herself in a world where she is absolutely adored, she is cared for, she is provided for, and she is sought after by gorgeous men who want nothing more than to worship her. And. she. HATES. it. Now, some of it, I can understand. After all, she is at the mercy of her biology and she is seemingly being cloistered by Omega Social Services in this new reality. But, she was independent in her old world, so she thinks she knows what's best in this new world. I can understand that. A little. I would demand control, too, if I were in her shoes. HOWEVER, Piper, sweet little remarkable Piper, demands control to such an extent that she repeatedly puts herself - and by association, others - in danger.
Lots of spoilers below. Tread carefully.
They keep telling her, you can't go out by yourself; your body is a ticking time-bomb, if you go into heat while you're out and about by yourself, you could be kidnapped, raped, and bonded without your consent. Alphas can control you with just their voice. You got a taste of that on your first day here. But, Piper is like, Nope, you can't tell me what to do. Several times during this book, she cannonballed into too-stupid-to-live territory. She got herself assaulted - nearly raped - and one of her alphas got beaten to within an inch of his life while he tried to rescue her. And, all of this happened after said Alpha rejected her in the cruelest manner possible.
I almost DNFd this book at 98%. The book ends when she agrees to let them court her! We, the readers, get almost NO romance. There's a little bit of sex - most of which occurs during her heat that should not have happened the way it did. One of her alphas had already rejected her, but you better believe he helped her through her heat because she was worth something to him at that point because he had discovered she was his fated mate. The epilogue takes place 6 months later. The way they say I love you every day is described, the way they courted is described, the way they actually get along now is described, and the way they went through another heat a couple of months before is described. We got NONE of that romance in a book that is supposed to be a romance novel.
Oh, this book upset me. I don't know if you can tell. I seriously considered putting it down midway through the epilogue. Honestly, it feels like the whole book is a prologue, the story itself is missing, and the epilogue is the only thing that is where it's supposed to be...

This is the first book I have read by Violet Coltair and I loved it. I have read plenty of omegaverse books and of them all this one is my favorite. I never imagined that I would feel that way by the end of this book, but it is true. Violet has breathed life into an original plot that was intriguing and kept my attention throughout the book. There was action, wonderful characters, and plenty of hot steamy moments that made this a very entertaining story. I will definitely be on the look out for more books written by Violet.
Have you ever wished to escape your life and wake up somewhere else? This is exactly what happened to Piper. The poor girl has a difficult time adjusting to her new world. But, things get better when the alpha she met on her first day can't stop thinking about her. Aiden has sworn off omega's after being hurt by one years ago. It destroyed his pack Beta Declan and Alpha Dominic as well. Piper has breathed new hope into him and now Aiden is ready to try again. Declan is excited to add an omega to their pack, but Dominic is not interest and fears that history will repeat itself. Piper must prove herself to the men and everything is going well until her date with Dominic. Now her world comes crashing down and Piper begins to question if this is really the right world for her after all. Aiden, Declan and Dominic are at odds with the possibilities and one thing is for sure.....none of them will ever be the same again. Will this world be the answer to Piper's problems or just make her life worse? Can Aiden, Declan and Dominic come to an agreement about Piper or will they be too late?

I really, really wanted to love this book. In this one, we had a fascinating concept, and I love how the whole omegaverse concept is explained in this one! So, in this book, we start off with the real world. Piper is working multiple jobs to afford her bills, her boyfriend is a loser and refuses to do anything but play video games all day while she struggles to pay the bills, and she ends up leaving to go camping after he spent the day playing games again instead of trying to get a new job. While there, she comes across a man who is odd because she doesn't understand what he is talking about. However, he's explaining to her that she's just in the wrong world and if she wishes hard enough, she might wake up in a new place. This is how she ends up in a world where the whole omegaverse thing is, and we struggle with her to grasp all of these new concepts as well as deal with her becoming an omega. That whole thing was super intriguing, and I was obsessed! Now, the execution didn't really hit me that much, though. I feel like there were too many moments where she kept putting herself in trouble or hyper-focused on dating these guys but did not make any next steps or even try to return to the world she suffered in. I just wanted to see more of this world and how it differs. The whole world shift thing was kind of forgotten and then brought back up at the end like oh, we still need to deal with this.
Goodness, yes! After obsessing over those "regular girl gets transported to a different universe accidentally" Web comics all those years ago, I had no idea it would come back with a vengeance, and a twist.
I'm in love with these omegaverses, it's just so fun to read all the different stories. And now it's crossing over with past hyperfixations, I'm in heaven!!
When I first started it, all I could think was, "How has she never wandered into the omegaverse genre of books?" But then it occurred to me that not only did she not have time for hobbies, but it would probably be too meta for that to work in the story. I am still holding out for a situation like this where the FMC is actually a huge fangirl and excited to be changed or different like this. Because lord knows us book girlies would not have normal reactions to these types of situations.
You know a book is good when you completely lose track of time and finish the book only to realize you haven't eaten anything in hours because your body did not exist while you were reading. This was one of those, and now that I've eaten my fill of this omegaverse, I'm going to eat some real food. Maybe that delicious breakfast they had post-heat. That looked drool worthy in my brain.

This is my first time reading this author and I was surprised how quickly I was able to get into the story. I was sucked in from the beginning and loved how it starts off as a normal world and turns into an omega world. Piper is used to being the hard worker and when she comes to this new world she can finally rest and relax, but it can be too much sometimes too. Being forced to change and learn a new life is hard but especially when it’s against what you have always known. Piper dosent want to be controlled by her biology and it takes her time to come to terms and learn to love her life. I love how the guys are so open to her (well mostly all of them) and that they take it at a reasonable pace to build an actual relationship. There is some conflict and some real hard choices that need to be made but I love the world that has been created. I look forward to reading more from this author and hopefully more in this series.

This was a really interesting twist on the Omegaverse and I’m totally here for it!
I’ll admit, the writing was a bit clunky, it feels like it needed another couple of passes from an editor but the bones of the story were awesome! I think it has tons of potential and I would love to read more from the author to see what else she can do.
I really enjoyed the structure of the world, the courting process, scenting, and Omega House were all really fun and well throughout the story. It feels like a ton of thought went into the worldbuilding and the character introductions.
I loved the three male members of the pack and their interactions. I’ll admit one of them was super frustrating for the majority of the book but I felt like that frustration was really well-supported and easy to understand.
The spice was decently good! I would have loved a bit more from it because it was really well written!
A refreshingly different take on the Supernatural RH romance I thought. Hard working but Underappreciated Piper (FMC) has a leech of a boyfriend who is completely self-centred and uncaring. So when she gets a chance to get away from all of that she ends up in a parallel universe with Alpha's, Omegas and Betas. So she's basically like a fish out of water and has to find her feet in this new world. I understood Piper's view on being uncomfortable with her new life and her role in this new world but her relationship with the guys was a bit strained I thought. Mainly because of Piper's naivety about everything around her. The pack in general though were sweet guys if slightly damaged by past events in their lives. I enjoyed reading this book. It was a good read.
Well, this definitely turned out to be a delightful surprise! I enjoyed it a lot, and for readers not familiar with Omegaverse, this would be a great introduction since you will be learning about it alongside Piper, our FMC.
I liked the pacing and how the story unfolded, Piper having to adjust to a new world and new designation as an omega. It definitely wasn’t easy. Aiden, Declan and Dominic had distinct personalities and that is always a plus because pack members tend to blend in together.
I knocked off a .5 from the rating because of some of Piper’s stupid decisions that made me facepalm. Like girl, I get it, but WHY did you have to do that??
Violet Coltair is an author I will keep an eye out for.
This book is an omegaverse reverse harem MMFM romance written in first person and is MPOV. I enjoyed the premise of this book and I feel that it made the book stand out to me against other omegaverse books I’ve read. Reading about Piper having to adjust to her new life was interesting and because of her past she was a totally different type of omega which was refreshing to see. Her naivety of the world also made me dislike her slightly for a little while in the book, but I had to remind myself that the world was still new to her and she probably didn’t understand it. Overall, even with my slight dislike of Piper for a short time I still really enjoyed the book and I’m glad that I finished it. It was interesting and well worth the read.
No one in this book acts in a realistic way. The cops, the doctors, the regular people- it was all ridiculous beyond the realm of suspending disbelief. The dialog is corny, cringey and juvenile. Piper may be the stupidest MFC ever written. She is entirely unlikable. I'm not a fan of the "Not like other girls" trope. The way she felt about same sex relationships was problematic. The way she so quickly moved on to fetishizing it was awful. All of the characters felt very whiny and melodramatic. 1 star because the author wrote a book, which is something I have not accomplished. A 2nd star because it was readable, despite the many typos and entirely incorrect words.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story about Piper and how she had to travel from our world to another universe, while out camping, she travels to a world where the sexes are a designation, not just male and female, it’s alpha, beta and Omega. When she meets Aidan, Dominic and Declan, she doesn’t realise that they are her true mates until they have been tested in a way that they never wanted. They had trusted in Omega before. And will let down, but now they feared that Piper would do the same. They go through a lot of conflict until eventually they have their happily ever after.
I am voluntarily leaving my review for this book and this is my honest and fair opinion.
This was a first time read for my by the author and I was pleasantly surprised. I have been in a RH, breeding, knotting frenzy for awhile now. Piper lived a life where she was working 2-3 jobs, 50 hours and week and in a relationship with a dead beat. Fed up one night she decided to go camping, something she always liked. She meet a man in the woods and he told her a tale of different realms and gave her a coin. The next morning waking to familiar but an unfamiliar place. Becoming an a omega on a new world and meeting Aiden and his pack. Eventually Piper realized this is where she belonged.

Piper has a deadbeat boyfriend who sits around playing video games while she works multiple jobs to keep them fed. She needs to get away from this for a break and goes camping. She had a strange encounter and ended up in another place that was nothing like the world she lived in. She has become an Omega and finds herself attracted to 3 males, beta Declan, Dominic and Aiden (Alphas), while trying to figure out what is going on. Her body is prepared to go into heat. Will she accept the 3 men to help her through this if they can all come to an agreement? Will she decide to remain here with them, or try to return to her own world?
The alternate dimension idea was fun and original.
I laughed at the start when Dominic tells himself he’s going to watch for red flags in Piper. This lady is homeless and says she’s from another universe. Let’s be honest: Piper is a walking red flag. Who would want to date her?
But everyone takes this alternate dimension thing with a grain of salt and Piper is lucky enough to have some caring social workers, doctors, and friends.
Piper appears to be insane though, so she ignores everything they say. She repeatedly goes out without taking her meds and gets into trouble. She lies, she throws tantrums, she’s very self centered.
The “woke up as an omega” concept was not what I expected. However, I thought it was an interesting premise and would be a good way to introduce those new to omegaverse.
As another reviewer mentions, the FMC has TSTL moments. While I too rolled my eyes at first, I couldn’t stand it as the next event was coming up. DNF.
This issue might be on me - read on kindle and there were odd paragraph format issues (ie extra space line?). While read-able it took away from the flow of story, as you were expecting story transition but really you are in the middle of a conversation.
Piper, Aiden, Declan and Dominic were likeable characters and their chemistry was spot on. A different take too on the Omega world and how Piper stumbles into it. Fav Quote: "Even if she is our mate, she has a whole other life." "She had to choose us, as much as we chose her." Star ratings: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - I can't stop daydreaming and telling everyone about this book. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - A great read with all the feels. I would read again. ⭐⭐⭐ - I liked the book but wouldn't it read again. ⭐⭐ - Usually in the DNF pile or I suffered until the end for whatever reason. ⭐- Just no.
I love this book!! Never have I read a storyline like this one!! I should have known I would love it, I loved the Highlander tv series. Cannot imagine going through the omega change after being just a normal person all my life… too much to handle that’s for sure. I love the characters and how developed they are. There’s an established MM relationship in the pack, and while it’s totally relevant it adds to the relationship they all ultimately have together. About to go check out the next boom in this series! Happy reading friends!
I absolutely loved that this was different than any omegaverse I've ever read. I just really wish there was more. More growth of the characters, more building of the relationship, more detail. The story was great, i just couldn't develop any feelings for the characters as I didn't feel I ever really got to know any of them. I hope the author doesn't take this as criticism but more as the opinion of 1 person. I would gladly read more by this author as a feel she will definitely grow with time and experience.
Piper gets thrown into a whole new world when she takes a coin from a strange man and doesn’t wanna live in her life anymore. In this new world she’s now an omega & doesn’t know how life works! Aiden, Dom & Declan are a pack. They start courting Piper even though they have had a bad past with omegas. Aiden & Dom are both Alphas while Declan is a Beta. Aiden & Declan are both drawn to Piper long before Dom. This story had so many ups and downs It wasn’t my favorite omegaverse. But it was worth the read because their story was so good!
