Good but short

This workbook was written in very basic terms, making it easy to read for people who are not in the therapy profession or working through it with a licensed profession. I am a licensed therapist, but I appreciate this for people who are not. That said, I wish there was more in the way of information/discussion. I get that this is a workbook, but I didn't see a companion book in this series that has more information.

The exercises were very simple, but I found many questions to be thought-provoking. Again, I think they are accessible to the lay-person and are enough to get a good start on this type of work. The spaces to answer aren't very long. I recommend using a separate notebook to record responses so you can answer fully (I always recommend this, but it's very true here).

My biggest complaint is that I wished the workbook would continue. I'm not sure what I expected, but I felt like there could have been further exploration in some areas.

However, I think this is a solid introductory level workbook for those wanting to ease in or check out this concept to decide if they want to go further.

THIS IS AN AI-GENERATED FAKE BOOK! **Video linked below**
"Written" by a young man named Josh who uses AI-generated "Linda" with FAKE credentials to write alllllllllll these books about every popular psychology term! To make money from people genuinely looking for answers!

Linda Hill's author website is a parked URL. The publishing company is fake, and its website leads to Josh. Her photo is fake, all these big companies sharing her work (Forbes, CNN, etc) have not done so. Josh has pumped out SO MANY books in her name - real psychologists take YEARS to research and publish.

Learn how to understand, nurture, heal, reconnect, and consciously parent your inner child!
Five chapters, that take you through five steps to becoming a whole person, a complete adult, by collecting the fragments of yourself that were lost to your consciousness during a traumatic childhood.
This is definitely a workbook, where you will write answers to questions and address issues, but in a clear and easy to follow way that will naturally bring you to some conscious awareness of issues that have held you back.
Linda Hill has offered up a compassionate way to root out childhood trauma, abandonment, neglect, and abuse!

Blown Away

I prayed, did Christian therapy, read the Bible and worked through this workbook. So many memories I’d tucked away for so many years came rushing at me like a flood.

Because of all of the trauma I experienced growing up, I tried to stop myself from hating my abuser by forgetting what she did. Little did I know that I was also forgetting the good memories unrelated to her.

It has been a crazy experience. I’ve cried so much and at times it felt like I couldn’t breathe, but I already feel so much freer. I look forward to going back over these exercises, focusing on self-care and inner child self care.

This is just the beginning to a new life full of gratefulness to be freed from trauma and a whole, healed heart.

This book was a little difficult for me to read as it was very introspective and pushed me to examine my childhood. Although challenging, it ended up being healing for me in the end. Even those who did not have particularly difficult childhoods should look at this book.

A great workbook designed to focus on your experiences and their impact. Spaces designated for journaling the feelings they brought up. Exercises to practice and some practical tips to act upon a personal journey. Highly recommended as it was cathartic for me.

I like reading mental health books but doing a workbook actually helps me think little back in time to help on my recovery & healing. These Exercises were helpful and help me be more aware that i cant change my childhood but i can heal from it. Learning how to handle triggers and figure out what to do when those things come up. I will say i enjoy doing the activites in the book because, i love being creative, so there is some homework but FUN....lol
