USA Today Bestselling Author Cindy Kirk is a Booksellers' Best Award Winner, a National Readers' Choice Awards finalist, and a Publishers Weekly bestselling author. Cindy launched her Good Hope series with a bang. Christmas in Good Hope hit #1 on the Amazon bestseller list for both Contemporary Romance and Women's Fiction.
A lifelong Nebraska resident, Cindy started writing after taking a class at a local community college. An incurable romantic, Cindy loves seeing her characters grow and learn from their mistakes and, in the process, achieve a happy ending.
Someone once told Cindy that to know a writer you just have to read what she's written; she hopes that once you read her books you can tell she is an eternal optimist, one who truly believes in the power of love. She invites you to kick off your shoes, pick up one of her books, and get to know her.
Cindy and her high school sweetheart husband live on an acreage with their two dogs.
The hero/heroine wake up married in Vegas which is weird because they weren't drunk when they got hitched. They are best friends and have been friend with benefits for three years. They've known each other since childhood and even dated in college before she realized that he didn't want kids and she did so they broke up and despite being on the pill she became pregnant in college and got married. Her rich husband left her when she was pregnant for the second time and that really dented her confidence because her marriage was trouble, her husband blamed her for trapping him, made her conscious about her pregnant body.
The hero is a happy bachelor and wants to stay that way. He raised his siblings when in med school so wants freedom now. He is also an OB/GYN. They plan on getting their marriage annulled when the h announces her pregnancy. She wants to get divorced after she gives birth. He doesn't want that, the h has had enough trouble in life, nurse, mother of three at 26, her extreme fertility plus her douchey ex.
Hero starts off as pretending to be a family man and soon becomes one, it is so natural but the heroine's marriage did a number on her and she is scared and doubtful inside.
I found the book okay, atleast the fear of raising five kids was raised by the heroine. I found the hero's turn around too fast & the characters never stood out for me. The book was filled with inconsistencies, it took her ten years to realize that she was in love with him forever and she didn't mind him wearing the cologne she bought him, for other women. The same with him, he has such a reputation with women but he at one time thinks she is the only one I have been sleeping with since the past three years, so what about the reputation. All of this gave me huh moments.
I was taken in with Mary Karen and Travis's story from the beginning. Sometimes it takes time and some soul-searching to see what is right in front of you. I enjoyed visiting with familiar characters again and experiencing the small-town closeness. I did wish Mary Karen would have believed Travis was changing his views on marriage and family a little quicker than she did, but the scene when she finally got it was great. They have a very satisfying happily ever after. I received an advanced reader's copy from the publisher and am voluntarily leaving this review.
I am very happy I read this book. I became invested in Travis and M K since the last book and am so happy they made the right choice. Certain things MK did I didn't approve but everything worked itself out and Travis really melts your heart every chance he gets.
This is a sweet tale of finding the right balance and understanding what truly loving someone else brings to enriching one’s own life.
If you have read any of the other Jackson Hole books, you know Mary Karen as the single mom of rambunctious twin boys and their younger brother. She has her hands full, but luckily has a great family and friend support group. No one deserves happiness more than Mary Karen. And she finally finds it with her best friend, Travis. I do love a friends-to-lovers story. And this tale will not disappoint as the two figure out what their best-friends-forever relationship is really about. A slow-building realization that they are more than friends arises from a surprise you won’t want to miss. I loved the ending.
The Jackson Hole series is a lot of fun, but each book can be read as a standalone. I’m so glad Mary Karen has her story told.

M.K. and Travis have been best friends forever, and the past few years they've been friends with benefits. When they impulsively get married in Las Vegas, they plan to have it annulled, but M.K. finds out she is pregnant. She's already a divorced mother of three, and is completely overwhelmed. And Travis has always declared marriage, and especially children, are not in his plans.
I gave this book 5 stars because I couldn't put it down. The main characters are both super likeable, and I loved seeing them work through their issues of past disappointments and heartache. I've always been curious about M.K. and Travis when reading past Jackson Hole stories, and it was neat to see them get their happily ever after.
Thanks to the author and publisher for letting me review this book!
Cindy Kirk is one of my favorite authors, so I am willing to pay for this series since it's not included in Kindle Unlimited. The editing in this series (which is a different publisher than Good Hope or Hazel Green) is awful. There are no breaks between the paragraphs when time passes or the point of view changes. This book had some snags in the plot that were baffling. In chapter 13, a "baby is sleeping upstairs in a fashionable nursery" but is somehow transported downstairs and is nursing.... I love the author but am reluctant to buy other books from this publisher.
This is another Jackson Hole hit! As with all books in the series, this can be read as a stand-alone... but you would miss all the little intriguing snippets that Ms. Kirk drops about our 2 main characters that makes you love them oh-so-much more! MK and Travis are supporting characters in other books of the series but here you finally get their story! As Cindy proved again, sometimes love is right in front of you and you are not seeing it quite yet! This is a great story about learning from your past but not letting it dictate your future! Definitely a quick and easy read

First time with this author, and did not know I was buying 4th book in a series. So it's a given that these books will be a little unrealistic, but a single mother of 3 children 5 and under who is now pregnant with twins -- not believable that she feels sexy or anything other than exhausted. But it was sweet she ended up with someone to help her raise her kids.
Novel in a Nutshell - Mary Karen and Travis have a lot of history. They previously dated but went their seperate ways when they realised they wanted different things out of life (a family for MK and the bachelor life for Travis). However this didn't stop the chemistry between the two of them and they ended up friends-with-benefits. After a chance meeting in Vegas, they married. Will they go through with their annulment, or will Mary Karen's new pregnancy convince them to give their marriage a try?
Review - I liked this book, although the beginning was a bit far-fetched, when they woke up in Vegas married with little memory of their wedding despite being stone cold sober. I met the two characters in a previous book in this series (Falling for John Doe), so it was nice to read their story. It did seem that Travis' change of heart about relationships happened a bit quickly, and Mary Karen veered from feeling everything was perfect, to feeling everything was a disaster, to feeling everything was perfect again without much cause to do so, but all in all it was an enjoyable and easy read.
Listened to the audio for this one. I loved the story. It felt real, and I loved the chemistry. It wasn't totally clean, there is a start-up to foreplay, but it ends there, and the rest is implied behind closed doors. The female narrator was ok, not great, just ok. She kept the same tone of voice throughout all the characters, and there were times I didn't know who was talking. The first chapter/scene felt like a huge chunk was missing. It took me a while to figure out what was happening, but after that the story flowed nicely and I enjoyed it.
This started out as a friend to friend with benefits. Then they get married on a whim. She had 3 boys 2 being twins. And then she gets pregnant on her wedding night. He is a doctor and keeps saying he doesn't want kids. But he wants her and her kids and the twins they are expecting. But she had a bad marriage and can't believe he really loves her. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.
Two people that grew up together were always there for each other. Two completely differently personalities. One vowing never to be tied down and one with three small children .
What happens in Vegas does not stay in Vegas. When Travis marries MK in Vegas it turns his sworn bachelor lifestyle upside down. Sweet slightly spicy story about love's ability to transform lives.
Mother of three to twin five year old boys and a three year old, the last thing Mary Karen needs is to wake up married to her long time best friend (with benefits) Dr. Travis Fisher. Not able to annul the wedding before Travis must met work obligations, its four weeks later before they see each other again.
And M.K. is pregnant. When she gives Travis the news, divorce is no longer an option for him. Now, he just has to convince M.K that he’s not with her out of obligation because she ‘trapped’ him. But the once confirmed bachelor has an uphill climb to convince this mother to risk her and her children hearts.
Coming off a marriage where her husband never loved her or their children, M.K. is not trusting that all of a sudden Travis is ready for a wife and not one, but five kids. The memory of her ex is strong in M.K.’s mind and she has a hard time letting go of the verbal abuse and abandonment she went through.
When the news hits that they are having twins, M.K. nearly falls out at the thought of another set twins. Now, Travis is even more determined to convince her of his love. Their marriage goes well until M.K’s brother mentions giving Travis a ‘push’ in the right direction.
Now once again, M.K fears Travis isn’t there for the long haul. Wanting him to take time to ‘think’, Travis gives her his final answer when they celebrate Christmas in the form of a new van in place of his sports car.
The story was sweet overall. I enjoyed Travis taking responsibility especially over the car situation. Although sweet, the romance and back story wasn’t really there. Perhaps that is given in the previous books. Overall, enjoyable.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. Welcome back to Jackson Hole. Mary Karen Vaughn and Dr. Travis Fisher have been having an uneventful yet satisfying friends with benefits relationship until that weekend in Vegas. Mary Karen is a divorced single mother of three very active little boys. Travis helped raise his brothers and sisters and has never wanted kids of his own. Travis is also Mary Karen’s brother’s best friend. They have been in each other’s life forever.
After an unforgettable night in Vegas, the couple realize they are married. The number one goal is to get a divorce as quickly as possible. Unfortunately it would have to wait. Before Travis came back from a mission trip, M.K finds out that she is pregnant. Pregnant with her husband’s baby that no one knows about and that has never wanted kids.
Travis processes the information of the pregnancy by concluding that he wants to be there for M. K. and her children. The problem is M.K. has some serious pent up issues from her ex-husband and lacks the self confidence to feel wanted. Travis has a hard job ahead of him. While his goal is to convince Mary Karen to stay with him, he starts coming around to the idea. M.K’s only stipulation is that this relationship is built on love not a sense of obligation.
Can Travis convince M.K that he loves her and wants to be a father to all of her kids? This is a worth it read especially if you have read other books in this series. Cindy will melt your heart with this one. Readers will fall in love with this possible family.
Travis is Mary Karen's brother David's childhood friend. They grew up together, and call the other their best friend. They spent time at the other's families homes. They each were in Las Vegas for different reasons, Travis for a conference before his trip overseas, Mary Karen won her trip in a raffle. What happens in Vegas, doesn't stay in Vegas. They got married, then meant to get it annuled, but Travis left for Cameroon, so they decided to wait. The day after he gets back, exactly 4 weeks later, Mary Karen has a positive pregnancy test. She doesn't tell him, until later that night after he says he never thought about having kids, after helping to raise his 7 brothers and sisters after their parents die. He realizes he wants to stay married, and raise their child. Spoiler Alert, its twins ! They talk, spend time together, separately and with the boys. They have a small fight, and Mary Karen wants him to be sure he loves them all and wants to be there. When they give each other Christmas gifts, she realizes he is all in. She got him floor mats specifically made for the Z4 to say she is ok with him keeping it. He has traded in his Red BMW Z4 convertible roadster, to get her a brand new van that seats 8, just in case she says yes to a 7th child. The epilogue is the birth of their boy and girls twins, Benjamin and Sofie. Up next is Margaret, Travis's sister, and Cole who become the parents of their friends who have passed son, Charlie.
I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
I took a 4th of July trip to Jackson Hole and loved it!
MK and Travis have been around our Jackson Hole gang for quite a few of the stories and they have always been intriguing to me. I could always tell something was going on there, and boy, was I right!
They find themselves crossing paths in Vegas and the sparks fly. Impulsive decisions are made and .... of course, there are always consequences for these decisions. MK has a quite apparent consequence of this impulse decision, one she knows that she just does not have the headspace for. She also comes with a ready made family, and our good doctor Travis has always said this was not the path he wanted to take.
However .... life always plays strange little jokes on people. They find themselves really, really drawn to each other and there seems to be no way to say no. How our lovely couple navigates this new life they find themselves in is what makes this story fun, heartwarming and quite, quite lovely. I totally enjoyed reading this book and was impressed and amazed at how this book just proves that if there is a will, there is a way. I always find myself thinking about Cindy's books long after I am done reading them. This is definitely one of those books.
I am so glad to have visited Jackson Hole again; I am also glad to have met and fallen in like with MK, Travis and their little gang!
** I received an ARC of this book but this review and all opinions herein are my own.

This book is another hit for Cindy Kirk in the Jackson Hole series. If you've read other books in this series, you will already know one of the main characters, Mary Karen as she & her best friend Travis have been supporting characters in other Jackson Hole books.
Mary Karen is the mother of three boys - twin boys & their younger brother. Travis has always been Mary Karen's best friend & lately, a friend with benefits until they meet up in Las Vegas. After a few drinks, they get married.
Back in Jackson Hole, MK thinks Travis regrets getting married so she wants an annulment until she learns that she's pregnant with Travis' baby. At first she keeps it to herself but eventually tells Travis. Travis has always made it known that he doesn't want to be a father but the more time he spends with MK & the boys, makes him change his mind. MK thinks Travis only wants to be with her because of the baby but soon learns that Travis has always loved her.
Let's just say that through events that happen in the book, the annulment doesn't proceed. What will happen to MK & Travis' relationship & will MK get her HEA that she has always wanted? Read the book to find out. You definitely won't be disappointed!
Mary Karen and Travis get their story and their Happily Ever After. Long time friends and somewhat recent friends with benefits, run into each other in Las Vegas and impulsively, and a little loosely because of a few drinks, get married. The next morning they are afraid that they made a mistake and plan an annulment, but it has to wait for Travis to get back from a month of helping out in Cameroon as a doctor. By the time he gets back she has found that she got pregnant on their wedding night, so they would have to wait until the baby is born and then get a divorce. He takes the pregnancy news fairly well, but doesn't want to get a divorce. If he is going to be her husband and dad to her kids and the new baby, he wants forever, unlike what he famously planned for himself.
Mary Karen goes through a lot of emotions, since, well, pregnancy hormones, and the fact that her ex-husband felt that she had trapped him with her first pregnancy and divorced her during her second. She knew Travis had never wanted a family and felt he was standing by her side and loving her as just committing because of the baby.
That's all you'll get out of me, except it was a great book with an HEA and a bit of spice.

I have been awaiting the book about Mary Karen and Travis as their chemistry has been hinted about in previous novels and I was not disappointed. Loved the backstory of Mary Karen. A single mother of 3 boys under school age, she appears extremely confident but has underlying self esteem issues bought about by her ex-husband. Travis is her best friend, and although they dated when younger, they decided to go their separate ways as they both wanted something different from life. After bumping into each other in Las Vegas and rashly deciding to marry they both resign themselves to annulling the marriage until Mary Karen finds herself pregnant. All Mary Karen’s self esteem issues raise their ugly head again and with 3 boisterous boys already, she worries she will not cope. Travis steps up to the plate, although he had made it clear he never wanted any children. Mary Karen does not want someone in her life who is only there out of obligation. This is fantastic novel about the ups and downs around their relationship.
WOW - Love this couple and boys! This is about Mary Karen (M.K.) and Dr. Travis Fisher’s story. From previous stories where they both showed up, this story was much better than what I expected. Mary Karen is still young but has three children all boys from her previous marriage which occurred right out of college.
Unfortunately her ex thought she trapped him and wanted out of the marriage and family life. M.K. did what she had to do, but due to him, she never believed that she would find the right man and refused to accept another man based on obligation.
Travis and M.K. have been best friends forever and they also have a friends with benefits relationship that they have enjoyed for some time now. However things change when she decided to take a much needed vacation in Vegas and guess who is also there? One crazy night and they wake up married!
Now what are they going to do? Will Travis want to try family life or will they get an annulment? How does the family take the news and what about the boys? They happen to be my favorite couple for everything they endured and resolved!
I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. In this latest epoch to the Jackson Hole series, Ms. Kirk shares with us the love that develops between two best friends. Sometimes, the thing you want is right under your nose and you can’t even see it. And sometimes all it takes to bring everything to light is some alcohol, a vacation, and an Elvis impersonator. Mary Karen is the single mom who’s been spurned by past love. Dr. Travis is the best friend who’s always supported her when things got rough. And after that one special night, he’s willing to support her and their family for the rest of his life. I thoroughly enjoyed Travis’s outlook on life, by changing his perspective of being the forever single and fatherless to willing to once again take on child rearing responsibilities for children he did not biologically create. I enjoyed following his struggle to prove himself and his love to Mary Karen, while she learned to not hold him accountable for the actions of another. This is a sweet story of finding true love and the most obvious and yet unexpected location.
I had an Advanced Reader copy of this book. This is another Jackson Hole hit! As Cindy proved again, sometimes love is right in front of you and you are not seeing it quite yet!
Travis and M.K. have been friends for years and through a series of circumstances they had never thought they would be together. However, the Universe had another plan.
Travis has a kind heart and he thought he was not up to the job of being a Dad and having children, even though he is an obstetrician. He was not sure he wanted to give up his toys to have a family and was vocal about that for years.
Mary Karen became a mother much sooner than she anticipated. She thought that no one would want her and her three boys, even though she is still relatively young.
A chance meeting and a night of romance changed their lives.
I believe anyone who has read this series, will love this book as much as the others. This book can stand alone and you can catch up with the others later.
Cindy Kirk has done a great job with this story and you will certainly enjoy the story.
Travis and Mary Karen have been "friends with benefits" since Mary Karen's divorce that left her a single mother to three boys under the age of 5 with the older two being twins. Travis and Mary Karen hook up in Vegas and drunkenly get married. They vow to get the marriage annulled until Mary Karen finds herself pregnant. Travis has repeatedly said that he does not want to be a father, as he raised his siblings after his parents died. After spending time with MK and her boys, Travis realizes that he was wrong and wants to be a parent to her boys and the twins that they are now expecting. MK must learn to deal with her doubts about herself and Travis so they will all have a happy ending.
Back in Jackson Hole, we are reunited with some characters that we have seen before. It is amazing to see how MK and Travis deal with the speed bumps that they are given so they can get all of the happiness that they deserve.

Looks Like Love is another story from the Jackson Hole series that can be read as a stand alone story. This is a story of friends with benefits to happily ever after. Travis is a single, hot doctor who raised his siblings after their parents died, and has sworn that he doesn't want marriage and kids. Mary Karen is a divorced, single mother and Travis' best friend with benefits who will only marry again for true love and commitment. One free trip to Las Vegas, a chance meeting, a few drinks and a spur of the moment marriage begins this adventure. MK and Travis agree to annul the marriage, that is until MK turns up pregnant. She refuses to stay married to a man that she believes she "trapped" into marriage but Travis is determined to change her mind and realizes that this is what he has been wanting all along, a family. This is a wonderfully written story with great characters, a range of emotions and happily ever after to make you sigh.
I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher but all thoughts and feelings are my own.
