About the author

Scott Peterson got his start in comics as an editor on the Batman line of comics, working with the legendary Dennis O’Neil. He edited DC’s flagship title, Detective Comics, and launched the first of the the Adventures sub-genre of comics, The Batman Adventures. He later went on to edit for WildStorm, where he oversaw such titles as WildCats, Midnighter, A God Somewhere and North 40, as well as Scooby-Doo and Looney Tunes. As a writer, he has been published by Disney, Scholastic, Golden Books, HarperCollins, and DC Comics, including a four-year run as the regular writer of The Gotham Adventures. He is the author of Batman: Kings of Fear with art legendary artist Kelley Jones, and the original graphic novel Truckus Maximus.

Another great cover! I’m glad they haven’t forgotten the tradition of making the cover enticing. And putting children in danger.

”Cash ‘n the Hood!” has Bane robbing a bank. Beating up 10 guards as he goes!

Batman & Robin and Commissioner Gordon are watching the news.

”As the steroid-aided supervillain known as Bane continues his string of bank heists with little difficulty.”

Batman notes that Bane is 6’5” and 340 pounds and has committed a dozen major hits in less than a month!

At the next bank height, Bane gets away - and Batman lets him.

But Batgirl has captured Bane’s getaway driver. He tells the Batman that Bane is in the lower east side. They find his headquarters and spot Bane with a bunch of children.

Batman fights Bane to distract him while Batgirl and Robin rescue the kids.

But the kids yell for Bane to help him! Batman jumps out a window with Bane but then the neighborhood yells at Batman.

”Why don’t you go pick on a real villain, like City Hall?”

Bane gets taken away by the police. Batman goes for coffee.

LOL! This was a wonderful story. Batman and the entire bat family has been beaten! 5 stars and a must read! If kids were reading this the world could be a better place! Highly recommended!

Do you like the 1990s Batman animated series? If so you would love the Batman: Gotham Adventures series! I am slowly reading my way through these issues and this one is issue fifteen. The story here is titled “Cash ‘n The Hood.” It involves the villain Bane.
There story here involves Batman, Robin and Batgirl trying to figure out how to stop Bane’s spree of bank robbery. However there’s a mystery: Why hasn’t anyone reported spotting him and also giving tips to the police to stop him? It turns out Bane is playing the role of Robinhood. But what drives him to do this?
I like the drawing that reminds me of the Batman animated series. I did like this short story. I recommend it.
