About the author

Jackie Bennett is originally from a small town in Northern Wisconsin. She moved to the Twin Ports when she was young. In her former life, Jackie was an over-the-road truck driver with her husband. She spent hours traveling all over the United States and Canada listening to audiobooks. She retired from the open road when she had her first daughter. She now has three children, and she still loves to read. Although audiobooks are still her go-to, so she has her hands free! Along with her family, including their adorable dog Doug, she loves to explore state and national parks and enjoy the outdoors. Her family holds a special place in her heart, and she gets inspiration from them.

I just wrapped up writing Book 2 of this trilogy, and it’s given me a whole new perspective on Book 1.

Silver Creek was where it all began—the spark, the introductions, the secrets waiting to unravel. When I wrote it, I knew I was laying the foundation for a bigger story, but looking back now, I see just how many seeds I planted that are blossoming in unexpected ways.

I fell in love all over again with my characters’ first moments together, the quiet conversations, and the hints of the conflicts that become explosive in Book 2, Silver Skies.

If you’re starting the journey, know that every detail in Silver Creek matters—and the ride only gets wilder from here. I can’t wait for you to keep reading!

Vivid descriptions Easy Read

Im not usually a fantasy reader. However, occasionally, I will find one that is mesmerizing. This is one of those books. The characters come to life while the author paints a picture with words. Reading this book is like having a movie play in your mind. Keep in mind that this is a young adult book. It reminds me of Twilight, but without the toxic relationships. I can't wait to see what else this author puts out.

This is a first book for this author and you can tell. I had a hard time getting into it because of shifting points of view. It was more like reading a movie script than being in the story. The story itself is great but the delivery needs work. I also feel like I am not the intended audience. (31 year old female)
