Written in the Stars” is a sensational story that is loosely based on the events of my life. It entails the story of a set of twins, Dynasty, and Destiny Star. They were born in the influential suburbs of Chicago, Illinois to a prominent and prestigious family, The Devereaux’s. The family were founders and owners of a well respected law firm, a successful real estate brokerage firm, and a record label that managed all aspects of the entertainment business. Their father, ___ David Copeland Star ran the entertainment business while dealing with his own struggles.
After moving from Chicago to the southwest Alief TX. when they were teenagers, Destiny experiences a sexual assault while singing background on the road for one of her father’s artist. Dynasty, who worked at her father’s record label during the summers while pursuing her dreams of becoming an actress, falls in love with her high school sweetheart only to be betrayed by one of her closest and dearest friends.
The Star’s seemed to have it all but as life lessons would uncover, all the wealth and prestige that comes with money does not equate to happiness. This labor of love will have you on a roller coaster ride of emotions that will leave you laughing out loud, crying, angry and sometimes in a state of disbelief. With every twist and turn the Star sisters will navigate their way through life and turn tragedies into triumphs.
