Our schools and parents teach us only a small fraction of what we need to learn in order to reach our true potential and achieve success. The rest we must learn through our own trials and tribulations. 'Street kid' John Assaraf broke free from a troubled past to create a multi-million dollar empire. In Having it All, Assaraf tells of his discovery that, no matter what kind of difficult circumstances someone happens to be in at any one time, he or she can achieve whatever they want in life. By combining old-world wisdom and street-smart tactics, Assaraf created the life of his dreams. He shares his method here.

I am happy that Assaraf is living the life of his dreams, one he envisioned, spent time germinating and incubating with deep seeded emotion, in his brain, daily. Now that I know how it is done, now I will. I have used many of the techniques in this book, some of which are not new, just presented in another light. One thing I particularly like about John Assaraf, is that he demonstrates the benefits of having a degree from the 'university of life'. Far too many of us place too much importance on "official" university degrees and rubber stamps. John Assaraf's sincerity comes through in this audiobook. Highly Recommend!
Lots of books with the same idea. If you want good things in life put your trust in God, be positive, really positive and ask Him in abundance. Expect beautiful things. "أنا عند ظن عبدي بي"
The focus of the book is regarding the Law of Attraction. Rewire your brain with positive thoughts (so that you can match your consciousness with your subconscious mind) and believe in yourself. Another subject named many times is the efficacy of meditation, which the author doesn't explain in detail what to do, rather just an invite to make your life more positive.
Quite an insightful read; albeit also quite generic in approach. In similar form as 'The Secret' Assaraf charts his life, and goes onto explain ways of living a life full happiness, joy, love and worth.
His personal story, though impressive, of a street boy who managed to grow a multi-million dollar business empire, has many of the chapters read more like platitudes just to fill the pages.
Best PD read to date. The addition of physics and brain science make it a unique approach and something for everyone. Accessible and applicable. A definite favorite.
I got some useful stuff out of this book like visualizing your goals achieved and writing those goals out from the point of view of already having achieved them.

This book started out very strong for me, really liked the first half a lot. First book of John Assaraf's that I have read. The reason's it doesn't get five stars from me have to do with the latter portions of the book. I've never been a big fan of books that have "workbook" sections where you have to list this, that and the other things and think specifically about what's right and/or wrong with your current situation. I've read several books like this, they always bog down at that point in the book so I usually avoid them entirely. Didn't realize that was a part of this book when I started it. The beginning portion was SO good that I went through all the workbook exercises and was able to finish the remaining chapters and then entire book. Worthwhile read. I'd read more from him in the future based on the quality here.
This book is a must read, it just shows you no matter how hard you are having it right now success is still possible for you and you will actually find out that the very same tough life you are having is the very same life providing you with the necessary training that you will later use to have it all.
I actually had to go through parts of this book again to re-enforce the principles I learned. definitely a must read.
A light read if you have read dozens of books in this genre already. Yet still a nice synopsis of a lot of material.
The interesting thing for myself was the number of parallel points I hit on in a recent presentation. So many that anyone in the audience who read this book would have thought I had too. Instead it has been my own journey, experiences, and readings that drew me to many of the same conclusions.
Great ideas on how to find and get your dreams going towards being realities. Learned some great things in this book. Things that made me say: "Wow--that's cool!" Funny part of learning these things, is that they were always right there in front of my but I never saw them in that perspective before.
Inspirational quick read.. The Main Message That I Received From The Book... We all have INFINITE POTENTIAL, and it's up to us to create the life that we want. So, if you're going to create a life for yourself... why not have it all!
John offers many valuable exercises in the book for indentifying & creating the change you desire.
The book is a brief summary of several neuro-linguistic programming texts I have come across (like Rhonda Byrne's The Secret) but the most practical aspect of it is the Daily Results Planner at the end.
With a journal, it is easy to set the tone for the year by planning it 30-60-90 days ahead.
That is the one highlight I loved from this book, as short as it was.
