The tube sock had it coming.
That’s Joanie’s story and she’s sticking to it.
He can say what he likes, try and deny what’s between them all he wants, but those lips don’t lie.

It all started with a lost cousin. Rosa went missing, just, poof, vanished. No one knows anything or is willing to be of any real help about it, and Joanie is just plain sick of being left in the dark.
Armed with the last few bucks to her name and enough caffeine and chocolate to send her rocketing to the moon, she drags her unhappy buns all the way up that ice pop of a mountain her cousin just had to go vacay at, all alone, in a cabin in the woods, without her favoritest cousin and best friend by her side, ahem, and now Joanie is doing the same, if on a less than fabulous budget, under less than stellar circumstances.

Cue Rek, the Abominably dressed hot mess she stumbles across in her snooping- Ah, discovering, of her cousin Rosa’s whereabouts.

He’s obnoxious, probably full of bologna with all this beast talk nonsense and that bleached gorilla suit he’s got on, thinks growling and snarling will get him his way, he has no idea who the heck he’s messing with, and not only does he claim to know where Rosa is and that he can take Joanie to her, but Joanie finds herself attracted to the mouthy beast of a male, despite the headache that he is.

Not only does he claim to prefer someone like Rosa instead of Joanie, but the walking, talking fur coat wants some paragon of perfectness, this mystical, magical “good female”, the total opposite to bad Joanie.

Joanie, however, knows that being bad can be so much fun, and she means to teach the fuzz bucket she can’t get out of her head just how much.

Can she convince Rek that bad is better? That she’s all he’ll ever need?
Will Rek wake up to what’s right in front of him before it’s too late and some other furry bachelor snatches Joanie up for their own?

Things are about to get wild and wooly in Yetidom.

Yeti or not, the adventure starts here!

This is book one of Joanie’s story.
Two times the Joanie, because one book just wasn’t enough.

*SPOILERS AT THE END*

⭐️⭐️/5 ; OVERALL RATING

🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 ; SPICE

🖤🖤/5 ; ROMANCE

Joanie is on the search for her best friend/cousin named Rosa from book 1 (I think) and ends up in another dimension with the help of Rek (an alien yeti looking dude). He wanted Joanie so he will be in Rosa’s good graces so she’ll take him as her mate. This doesn’t work out as planned, so Rek and Joanie end up in a toxic relationship.

I really struggled with this book. I was so excited because I love this authors other books/series and was on the lookout once this duet was finished. Joanie was very unlikeable. She was brash, rude, and very whiny. I’m a huge girls girl so it says a lot when I couldn’t connect or find a likeable trait within Joanie’s character (besides her loyalty to Rosa, though that is also questionable). Rek was also very unlikeable. Joanie knew what she was walking into once she returned to the Lo denaii yet was very whiny and complained about everything. She also had MAJOR body betraying syndrome and would let Rek treat her like shit to then sleeping with him shortly after. The over storytelling was also troublesome as there are a lot of abrupt shifts within scenes between moving around and such. A lot of telling not showing. Awkward and stilted writing, comma splices galore. I just don’t understand what happened… some of the other books in this series are in my favorites category in Goodreads so this was a huge let down:(
