One thing leads to another and before long, her involvement with him blows up in their faces. Can they get past the drama and danger that’s threatening their pending relationship and proceed with the matters of their hearts, or will Dallas walk away to stay the course he’s on to a better life?
Starting with poetry, writing has always been a constant in Monica's life. The interest began in her teenage years, being in love for the first time. Her love for writing has only progressed. Song lyrics and poetry led to short stories, then one day in her down time, a short story became a 56k word novel. It has been non-stop since then. Being a wife and mother, has only added to the joys of Monica's life. Attaining a BS in Sociology, helping her better understand people and their behaviors, has only helped her become a better writer, understanding characters and their complex personalities. Romance of all types has been her passion, and she plans to continue honing her skills in that genre.
I was trying to go to bed, but I couldn’t because this book had me chocked up 😂! My adrenaline was pumping pumping, the anxiousness wouldn’t allow me to settle down! I be so tired of Monica and these stories, because BAYYYYBEEEEEHHH, this was a S T O R Y!
Dallas Winters a 30 year old ex-con & Latisha Babineaux a 40 year old mother, as well as a billionaire because of her father, was a couple to read about!!! Their meeting and getting involved with one another was very different. However, when they got together, ooohhhhh they got T O G E T H E R 😂👏🏾. They were a couple that was made for one another and I felt that through every page of the book, after their first encounter with one another! I’m happy everything worked out in the end for them 🥰❤️.
Uncle Poncho, Uncle M E F F I N G Ponch Babineaux is that D U D E!! My man S T E P P E D when he needed to S T E P & D A S S I T!!
That “ex” boyfriend Memphis 👊🏾😤😡😳😨🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️!! Definition of a fu**boy! They say it’s the people closest to you, sometimes you’re sleeping with the enemy & don’t even know it! Finding out all of those other things about him & the part he played was shocking! & this is another reason why I love me some Monica, you don’t know where she’s gonna take the story! I had some ideas, but I was off 🤣😂.!
Now, Siobhan pronounced “Shavonne,” was a R I D E R & that’s all I’m going to say about that!
I already knew how Monica was coming though, so I shouldn’t have been surprised that she would again take us on a journey with her storytelling skills! This was, and will probably remain my favorite book of the series!!! It was a great little one, two and I wanted more! Maybe I’m biased, but with over 82 bodies of work, I haven’t read one bad book YETTTTT & I doubt I ever will. Standing OOOOO 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾, as always!!
I am witnessing a legend in the making. Mrs. Walters is going to be a literary legend of my time. You know you can never judge a book by its cover. This book was suspenseful, steamy, and loving all in one. It was times when you didn't know who was living or dead. You didn't know who was running the cartel. Or who was telling the truth about Reign's death? And if Uncle Poncho Babineaux was a friend or a foe. Mrs. Walters put her foot into this book. The moment you realize that LaTisha was found by the love of her life it was a whole ah ha sigh. Dallas's soul and heart connected with LaTisha on a deeper level than any other man in her life including Tyler and Memphis. Dallas was in it to win it he wanted it all her, the house, the kids, and the dog. He wanted and needed a family. I do wish we got to experience more of Dallas and LaTisha loving on each other. I would love to read more about this couple. Shoot at this point I will also take a story on Sioban and Ethan. I feel like Ryan knew more about that street life than he portrayed. Dallas and LaTisha got their happily ever after through many scary adventures. They also got Princess Dallas Junior as well. It is safe to say I enjoyed this read.
This a magnificent read, it will keep you on your toes. The uncertainty just pulls you into the folds of the book. Don't sit on this series! Grab your copy of this masterpiece today!
The story was not typical for this author. The pacing and storytelling was slower and not as connecting as I'm used to getting. The relationship between the leading characters was slightly slanted for me. I could never make a connection with either character. The pregnancy was channel and was not surprising at all. Overall, the story was okay.
I had this book on my TBR list and after reading it. I should’ve read this book a long time ago. It was so good it had secrets on top of secrets and I was here for them.
Who would have thought going on a date would turn your world totally around?! Tish was that girl!! Being spoiled by her father in life and most certainly even more after his death she didn’t want for anything! But be that it may even though she had everything her love life was trash. Her so called boyfriend Memphis was a piece of sh*t and was constantly dismissing her and her feelings. One night of him fucking up led her to the sexy Dallas and the rest as you say is history lol Despite them having a 10 year age gap they were drawn to each other and they couldn’t understand why. Things that were supposed to pull them apart just brought them closer. They went through some stuff but baby in the end it was worth it. What’s meant to be will be and no one can stop it!!
My heart is so full. I was literally holding my breath at times because I was so enthralled in the book. It was drama filled, passionate and a true page turner! Made me want to find me a "Dallas"! 😜 Well done Author Monica Walters, way to draw us readers in and give us so much to enjoy! 💞
Great read it was like a movie , the book took me to Cayman Islands and Jamaica, I could ask for more . Latisha and Dallas did get there happily ever after in the end, one big happy family.
This book put me in a chokehold and wouldn’t let go. It was well written book was action packed and definitely kept my attention. Dallas a felon met Latisha after she came into the diner that he worked at. The attraction was immediate even though he was not aware that she actually owned the place. She was also 10 years older than him. Secrets were revealed, snakes were terminated and Latisha got her happily ever after in the end.
So, full disclaimer.. I was under the impression that all these “A Billionaire Baby Romance” stories were of the same path or whatnot. Not was the case with this story! In the descriptionLatisha is described as the former princess of someone named Reign.. so, it’s Reign her former man or ?? Anywho, if you read it you’ll find out. At this point I’m already not liking the tone or direction this story is taking. When Latisha meets Dallas she has a man and three whole almost-grown kids by her ex husband. But still, she out in the streets playing games! Don’t let me forget about her uncle - who she had a weirdass relationship with. Needless to say, there were some twists in the story but honestly I had already checked out and was skimming the book by this point. *Oh, the sex scenes where hot! Like, hot hot 🥵 if your into that (I am). There should have been more of them but these two had to sneak around and only got it in maybe twice before all the drama ensued.
Definitely not anywhere near a fav of mine. This one just didn’t do it for me at all - except the hot scenes between Latisha and Dallas.
This story was so good that I couldn't put the book down until I finished. Watching Dallas and Latisha's story play out was a roller-coaster ride for sure. He entered her life when she was going through a tough time, still tethered to a man who broke her. However, he was up for the challenge because he loved her just that much. Even during their time apart, their love for each other was immeasurable. Even through the drama and threat to their lives, they yearned for each other's love. I was happy with the ending because Latisha and Dallas deserved a happy ending. I won't go into full detail here, but I do recommend this book to anyone who loves a good urban romance that'll make you shed tears in a few different ways. The connection between the two main characters was magnetic, the sex was steamy, intense, and passionate and the love was ever-flowing. You will be thoroughly entertained from beginning to end.
I think if you like urban/street lit and erotic romance, you will like this because this is very much exemplary of this genre. I’m a fan of the secret baby/surprise pregnancy trope so this was up my ally. I did like the main characters, Dallas, just out of prison and working to stay on a legal path, and Latisha, heiress to a drug baronetcy grieving the loss of her father and the decline of a toxic relationship. I think the way they got together was messy and a lot could have been solved by coming clean early on, but I also understand Latisha keeping secrets. There were lots of dramatic twists to this- I appreciated what seemed like a realistic depiction of a heroine with lupus as a romantic heroine… I think ultimately I wish we had gotten more time with Tish and Dallas. But overall, this was okay.
I enjoyed this story and all the drama it held. Latisha and Dallas were so cute together and I loved their intimacy and their chemistry. It was easy to see that their love for each other was unexpected because they weren’t really looking for love, especially Latisha dealing with her situation with Memphis. Memphis was a trash a*$ individual and he got what he deserved. I had a feeling he was moving funny from the beginning of the story but I had no idea he was going to be that trash. I was pleased that even though Latisha and Dallas ended up having to spend so much time apart that their connection never waned and only seemed stronger when they were reunited and led to them getting their happily ever after.
They were everything the other needed and more. Despite going through drama over her that day would’ve had any other man chucking up the deuces, he stuck beside her. I was happy to see lupus getting talked about so well in the book. As a fellow lupus warrior myself I always appreciate when someone spreads lupus awareness and accurately. I also was happy that she was a 40 year grown woman. As a 40+ woman I appreciated that she was pursued by a young man who wanted more from her than just sex, that she was open to dating him, and that she wasn’t focusing on what he lacked financially. She already had the means and needed love. The drama was real!!! Plot twists and everything! Good read!
This is a good writer who just apparently threw this together. The immediate connection between the main characters felt forced and then they were done....to eventually get back together. Latisha being a billionaire was in title only because she never exerted any power, authority or direction including her own body. The sexy scenes were written well but the story surrounding it was awful. It felt like random scrapes of story but together. Motives were vague, truth was vague, connections were strongest in past or older bonds...ie best friend, mother and father. I wanted to like this book but I just couldn't, especially given what I knew the author is capable of writing. This was just an okay read 📚👌🏾.
This story kept my attention from start to finish. Poor LaTisha had been dealt a bad hand and it was fate that she ran into Dallas. To have so many snakes right in your corner is disheartening. This one brought a new meaning to 6 degrees of separation because the way all the characters were connected was wild. The connection between LaTisha and Dallas was unmatched, but I do wish we had more time to see how their relationship would develop once the dust settled. Oh well…I’m still very satisfied. Oh and Memphis TRASH….and Poncho redeemed himself to me (somewhat).
First time reading your book but won’t be the Last Monica Walters. OMG I loved everything about this book. Memphis got what he deserved it’s always the snakes 🐍 that be close to you trying to get ahead without really putting in the work. Latisha was a real one she was battling Lupus (that’s real what a person goes through when having an episode). Her kids where the bomb love the love and open communication and tight bonds. Her best friend need one of those true ones in your life. So glad she met Dallas what a try Live Story. Hopefully we get an update on Them This was a Great Read made u mad sad frustrated and wanting more
Although this book wasn’t the typical romance book I read, I did enjoy the story. There were parts of the book that I really enjoyed like the suspense of who killed Latisha’s father and the connection that Latisha and Dallas had during their first date. I hate the time they spent apart and it almost made the love feel forced since they only had a couple of interactions with each other. I appreciated the authors note at the beginning of the book about remembering that every story isn’t always for you. This was my first book from the author and I will read more to get a better feel of her writing.

You are climbing your way up my top 10 favs! I just fell in love with these to people. The storm that they weathered together and wasn’t even together, but made it back to each other….honey chile, now that was a true divine power that was only made for them two. You showed in this story that what God has for you is truly only for you in His timing, and NO MAN or anything can stand in your way once He blesses you! Well written story of telling people to hold on and NEVER give up because God has the last say.
Thank you for this story, because it blessed my heart ♥️ 🤎
So far this book is the only one to have the woman as the billionaire in the A Billionaire Baby Romance Series. The story started off intriguing and as a cute insta-love story but loses me with Latisha’s family issues, the abusive uncle, the boyfriend , the hiding from him. It seemed like there were twin plots merged together with no cohesion. While either plot seemed like they would be great, them being merged together didn’t work for me. I did enjoy the insta love and the relationship between Latisha and Dallas tho. The connection was cute and steamy.
This was a very busy story and I truly wasn’t expecting so much to be involved in such a relatively short book. I went in blind except for the character descriptions on the author’s socials. It was entertaining. I liked Dallas’ energy the most out of everything. Though the story was a bit chaotic I enjoyed the idea of two souls recognizing their other half. It wasn’t quite phrased that way but that’s the general idea of the romance. I may not have loved the way the plot unfolded but it was a good read.
Latisha's time with Memphis had run it's course and Dallas was just the man she needed by her side. Age ain't nothing but a number when it came to these two. The attraction and chemistry were off the charts, with Dallas already staking his claim to Latisha. You knew he wasn't playing when he was willing to be a side piece. Lol. This book had just the right amount of drama with secrets being revealed, snakes lurking, and finally being eliminated. Through it all Latisha and Dallas were able to get their happily ever after.
A whole lot of drama with a side of 'say what???' and a pile of craziness. Two people keeping secrets about who they truly are and those secrets linked to another secret and another. I loved LaTisha and Dallas intimacy together. That's how you love on someone. The part that took me out is Dallas willing to be LaTisha side dude...say what???? Then come to find out because secrets become exposed, you creeping with the daddy you never knew girlfriend. Then to have to hide out in another country because he's gunning for the both of you.
Memphis was no good from the start, all he wanted was power and didn't care who he had to cross to get there what he did to Latisha was just disgusting and in the end his very own son won. The one date turned into a life time of happiness . For a minute I thought Tasha best friend was betraying her but in the end things worked out, dealing with Lupus no one really knows what your body goes through and to have that peace near you helps which her best friend knew that was what she needed and made it happen.
I loved this, Latisha was the real deal. I was glad that she had planned ahead if things started going left with Memphis and her Uncle. Memphis didn't care about any of his children, only about himself. So glad he got what was coming to him. I loved Dallas he was who Latisha needed. It was amazing how the author tied their lives together. This story touches on Lupus, greed, attempted murder, murder, revenge, and finally happiness. Kudos to the author👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
My…My…My!! What a story!! This was not what I expected but I tell you what…Ms Walters did her thing with this!! This was a Thrilling, Sexy, Dangerous and Fulfilling Experience and Journey!! I’m just happy I was here to enjoy the ride, roller coaster, if you may!!
If you haven’t had a chance to read this yet, what are you waiting on! I’m mad at myself for taking so long!! Grab your copy and get ready! You’ll definitely be glad you did!! Kudos, Monica!! 💜
Monica, another good read. Watching Latisha go through so much pain that could've been unavoidable but greed and no loyalty had everything in an uproar. I'm so glad Latisha stepped out of her comfort zone and let go had her finally open to understanding true love. She had to protect herself and her family. All in all I loved how mature Dallas is. Great read.🤗🤗🤗🤗
