A family lives on Apple Tree Farm and another family arrives wanting to camp out on the farm. Poppy and Sam are the kids who live on the farm and help the other family with their things. Thrilled by this idea, Poppy and Sam also want to camp out and ask their parents who say yes.

When the kids have put up their tent, their cow Daisy peeks inside the tent and take sit away with her and Poppy and Sam go inside to spend the rest of the night.

It's a book about camping and to introduce kids to camping. I think it was a good idea but the execution wasn't that good.

Read with my Turkish host family's children. Some missed opportunities here. A random family arrives at Apple Tree Farm and wants to camp there, and the children barely interact with them. Merely a plot device to set up for the main story of the children's own camping adventure.

My kids loved the Usborne Farm Yard Tales. I can't even count how many times we read the stories to them. Lovely memories to look back on. They also really enjoyed finding the little duck on each page.
