The thrilling next installment in the bestselling Children of the Gods series! As Aru and his team embark on a perilous mission, their past and present converge in a meeting that holds the key to their fate.
I want to love all of these books in this series since I’ve followed it from the beginning, but I’m finding that I’m sadly getting bored. I am skipping more and more sections in theses books as the series goes on. The books are now over half filled with characters either guessing at what things mean (at ridiculous length) or what’s going to happen (at ridiculous length). It all feels very much like filler now and it’s so disappointing. The series started with focus on the couples and really following their story and watching it unfold. It’s since turned into everyone talking and guessing about everything nonstop and then whatever they talked so much about unfolds eventually and your left wondering why we just read chapter after chapter of talking and guessing when the answers are presented in just a couple pages later on. Very unnecessary and pretty boring. No longer is there a sweet journey to follow, it’s all become chatter with a sprinkle of a very rushed romance. This book unfortunately had such potential to explore a budding romance with galactic obstacles to overcome. Yet once again, we get a rushed, shallow romance with little substance and no journey for Aru and Gabi.
Dark Encounters of The Fated Kind, book 76 of the Children of the Gods series by Isabel @itlucas_author - Honestly if you have NOT read this series, you need to RIGHT NOW! You must read this series in order from book 1. This is one of those series that no matter what else I am reading, I stop & start the newest book. One of the things I adore about this series is that it is about the entire clan. We get to keep learning about the first couple from Book 1 & they are still in Book 76!
I received this #ARCBook early and for my honest review. First off, I am a fan of Isabel & this book was no different! As a side note, this is my first ARC from Isabell.
So freaking good!
This is the conclusion of Gabi & Aru’s trilogy. Gabi is transitioning. Aru had put a miniature spy drone on Julian when they hugged at the end of the last book. Once Julian got to where they were keeping Gabi, Aru moved it to Gilbert as the drone flies so Aru could watch Gabi. Aru & his 3 friends meet Kian as the de facto leader, along with Turner as his advisor, with Anandur & Brundar as his security, as normal. Kian & Aru keep “dancing” around with each other, neither wanting to provide too much information to the other. Aru is told from his conversation with his sister, Aria, that he is to stay close to Kian per his boss’s orders. Syssi is actively trying for visions now & plans on asking Annani to help decipher them.

Gabby and Aru’s story unfolds in the most exciting and seggy of ways. I love this turn of events with the three new gods from Anumati of all worlds. The universe is literally expanding with their arrival and further information about the home planet of the gods. I am even starting to believe in the fates as unlikely meetups keep occurring (hopefully the other two gods find love as well). Not only does the overall storyline continue with the clan and some of their individual stories but it has expanded to other races and lines of immortals from other Gods. There are so many plots that keep readers enthralled with all the stories and the main characters we fell in love with continue to play major rolls in their own storylines as well as the new ones. How lucky we are to have this continuing saga with such an imaginative, creative and talented author as IT Lucas. Gabby and Aru make an interesting couple and how will their story play out as she will have to accompany them on their crazy quest to find the pods from the home planet. Now the drama with Annumati is unfolding as well which has me on pins and needles. Even though you don’t have to the best way to enjoy this series is from book one and go in order as the stories weave together. New readers are lucky to not have to wait for new books as I am now anxiously doing. Having this long run series lets readers rally form emotional ties to the characters and the story without having to say goodbye which is very unique and special.

The book count for this series may seem daunting since this is the 76th book, thankfully the way IT Lucas organizes the series is by having the books are set in 3-4 books in a mini-series that revolves around a main couple. There are often side characters & couples that you will see develop along side the main couple. The series does have an overarching storyline that continues through all the books so it is best to read them in order. These books are also told from the POV of multiple individuals, even many of the side characters or members of previous highlighted coupled. Each chapter clearly identifies who is telling their story so it is easy to follow.
This is the final book for Gabi and Aru. Something huge is coming and you can just tell this is a major turning point int the series. I thought the Kra-ell discovery was huge, but that has nothing over what was found out in this trilogy. I can’t wait to see where it will go next.
Thank you for the early release, always thinking of us! You set the standard for favorite authors. I was in a funk..started a couple of different books and could not get into them which is unusual for me as I am an avid reader and read everyday...sometimes into the night. Your early release was a gift. Gabby and Aru'es ❤️ story was 🔥, but the true love mate tenderness & compassion was amazing. The interactions with Gabby's brother & Aru was interesting. We learn more about the gods mission and how Gabby will fit into this. I am loving the visions and how they will play an important role with what is coming next and Kian is embracing them. Let's mate up the other 2 gods with some of the clans ladies! As always...READ THE BOOK💞 but you have to start with the first if you have not read the series & lucky you to be able to binge on 76 books. 💞
This series is my absolute favorite in all the kindle unlimited books, and it might just be my favorite all together. Because not only do you get one at least once a month they are always entertaining.
These books are for you in you’re a PNR fan do not hesitate to pick up the first book right away… I’m actually jealous of you haven’t read them yet because you have an amazing adventure ready for you.
The one issue I was having with the books was that it was getting a bit stagnant but that absolutely will not be a problem for a good long while because the storyline just got an immediate injection of intrigue and romance. Well done Ms. Lucas! Thank you for sharing your world with us, it truly is one I cherish.
I loved this story. Aru met the woman of his dreams, although human, he turned her immortal without knowing. Finding his one true love. For a God, Aru is a decent man and I pray that he finally comes clean about his position with the clan leader, Kian. The one paragraph that hit home was Kian's talk about how the King could use some different means to decimate or annihilate the population and people live with a false sense of security that is born of ignorance, or the ostrich syndrome. Burying their heads in the sand and convincing themselves that nothing is going to happen to them. Sounds like most humans all over the world. I. T. Lucas is a great story teller. Love her work!
I'm so excited to keep learning more and more of the history of the gods. Here, Gabi is transitioning, while Aru is going crazy with worry (as they all do!), while trying to deal with Kian and keep his secrets. I love how all the discussions are based in fact but steeped in the mythology of Earth's history. What will the clan do with all this new information of the many possible threats to both the clan and humans, as well? The books always mix the love of family and friends, with the hint of danger that lurks in the shadows.
I.T. Lucas continues the stories and series with the introduction of a new threat and alliance. Gabi and Uriel (Aru) find their way as the fates intended. The visions that Syssi are having are adding to the plots and once interpreted by the Clan Mother, may shed light on who and what are the outside influencers. Is it Aru’s sister that is seen in the vision? I started reading this story yesterday and finished it at the exclusion of my other readings. I look forward to #77.
My least favorite in the series so far. I was really hoping I'd grow to like Gabi, but I just couldn't fully embrace her. While I get that not every woman is strong in all aspects of life & character, I struggle to identify & embrace clingy, needy & slightly immature. Maybe it's the prednisone induced emotions I'm feeling right now, or maybe it's how I'll feel 3 days from now once the pred is weaning out of my system, but for now, I'm hoping the next trilogy will give us a better leading lady with less whining.
So nice to see how the conclusion of this trilogy came about, I love the growing knowledge of anumati and the resistance, this is clearly going to be a big part of where this overall story will arch to. The relationships between Gabi, aru and his team mates has developed nicely and I think they will become a nice family group which will be so lovely for Gabi. Absolutely loved it.
I have read every Children of the Gods book and every one just leaves me wanting for more. Isabella Lucas is a great author and keeps your mind going into these worlds looking for the next solution or who is going to be next to lose their way. I have never been disappointed with this storyline through 77 books and can't wait to see where Gabi and Aru end up in 115 years! Never a dull moment when reading this series.
Gabi’s transition continues remarkably fast with a boost from Aru. Many questions and concerns remain in the minds of Kian and the Guardians as with Aru and his team. Safety remains uppermost in all their minds, and not sharing too many of the secrets. What will the next book reveal and how will it affect the lives and safety of the clan and the Anumati’s as they move forward in their negotiations?
So good and it's nice to have Gabi and Aru together, but it seems we got more new questions than answers. As soon as they see the Odus, it seems the new gods want to weaponize them. Hello? That's why they were decommissioned to start with! Will Kian and the clan be able to prevent it? And the Supreme being is likely Ahn's mother, right? So much going on as always. Can't wait for the next!
I love this series. You never know where it's going to go. I don't know how I.T. Lucas keeps pumping these books out like a powerhouse every month, but I'm glad she does. Especially since all the stories are intricately interconnected. If you enjoy an ongoing series where you get to keep up with past main characters, then this story is for you. Oh, and the steamy romance is a plus!
As soon as they’re released I get them onto my Kindle and usually have them read in a day and a half. Providing I’m doing nothing but reading 🥰. Then I have to patiently wait for the next installment. Just like everyone else. Please do not stop this series until there is none left to uncover, unfold and I love ❤️ the side series of the Perfect Match.
But it isn't the last word. As always, The Children of the God's series keeps you reading from the first to the last words. Being an avid reader of this series, the characters are family, and I look forward to meeting new members. Lucas always adds twists and unexpected turns with each new character or group added. I always look forward to the next book, most times in patiently.
I will always recommend starting this series of books with book 1. When I first started reading this series I thought wow, there are so many books in the series I will tire of them but I can’t stop. I.T. Lucas is constantly adding new characters and with each new character a new layer to this intriguing world. I cannot wait to read the next book.
Interesting twist in the storyline, now that three “Gods” were sent to earth to find the missing Pods. These 3 are part of the story ahead. One already has found his true mate. But what does this mean to be resistance the country/planet he is faithful to. What will it mean to his newly found partner? Let’s find out!
As always a really great read. I can't wait to find out where the visions are really from. I love that each book takes on a new chapter in the life of the village and the people that live there. I love all the possibilities of what's going on from the other worlds. I can't wait to get to the next book when it comes out!
This series is addictive! It’s always great to see how one of the couples stories resolve and Gabbi and Aru’s was wonderful! But the suspense on what Syssi was seeing in her visions and how the clan is going to escape the coming doom is all I can think about! I haven’t missed one of these and love how the story keeps evolving!!!
I don't want this series to end there is still so much more I want to hear what's gonna happen to each one of Kian's clan members - the story is so gripping that its makes me want to just keep on reading but I know it has to end some time I just don't it to end with Book #77 which I can't wait to read. Keep the books coming Isabel l- love your writings
I've said it probably 76 times now....but I love this series! The characters are well thought out. Each book brings a different mix of previous characters so you get to see your favourites again and the love stories are all unique! Aru and Gabi are one of my new favourites now!
Dark Encounters of the fated kind is book 76 in the Children of the Gods Series and is the third in this trilogy. It is the story of Gabi and Uriel.
This book is more about the answers than the drama or the buildup. No story changing arc… a lot of answers about the Eternal King and the home planet. It’s a nice calming book were you get to see life as it happens. 5 stars.
As always great book, but Gabi was very annoying. She gives the feeling that she will slip up and say something that she shouldn't. She will put the clan in danger. Also, need some more stories and interactions on established characters and their abilities with the new comers.
I enjoyed the humor in this segment. It is amazing how after 76 books Isabel can still keep the coupling act refreshingly interesting and loving. Once again, I can hardly wait for the next one, especially with Annani, Sissy and her baby working together. Having a jealous sentient AI makes for many wonderful and horrific imaginings. It keeps getting better.

This series of books just keep getting better & better. More characters are brought in & they all seem to be getting the HEA they all would like.
I do hope Annani will get Hers before too long, seems like too many years have past and she's never been reunited with her Kianne, her one true love, reincarnation next please
This last installment of Gabi and Aru’s trilogy in the CoTG series was a page turner! I could not stop reading! As much as I want to know who the next couple will be, I am also excited to find more about where this storyline is headed!!
I have absolutely no idea where I.T. is leading us and I love it! If you love series like I do, come join us on the adventure. It would be hard to start with this one but the series is so enjoyable and easy to read that an avid reader will catch up quickly.
I love following this "clan" in their adventures. The people really come to life and I look forward to what happens next. I only gave it 4 stars because I dislike soft porn. I realize that it sells books and some people might read them just for that. I do skip those chapters.
