This book should be back in print. An intelligently written analysis explaining what makes good art beyond mere decoration. One of the best art books I’ve read recently. Her example art includes both oil and watercolor ranging from classic realism to abstract which validates a quote by the artist I like and respect saying they are all the same whether it’s realism or abstract.

I paid $128 for a used book. Worth every penny.
