Rate this book
AWAKENING IN A DAZE with the inscrutable God of Nightmares standing above her, Shivalri demands to know what happened after her monstrous fall. Ombrose relinquishes naught, and the goddess is left to question as they travel through the Forest of Lost Souls.

After Ombrose discloses his capture of Shivalri to his godly line, the Orsimm family grows weary. No one defies the ruler of the Under Realm-except perhaps Shivalri herself. When Pyre Malum ventures to retrieve her, the pair will uncover how significantly she becomes his only exception. Truth, lies, and magic line their path to discovering their ties.

SATYRA KNOWS THE PROPHECY Shivalri must repair the veil and keep the physical Gates from opening and unleashing pandemonium unto Earth. But how could she when she is missing?

Through a see-walk, Satyra witnesses Shivalri slumped over and blood-soaked, surrounded by the High Council and a diabolic creature. In this dream state, Satyra can do nothing to stop the winged fiend from taking Shivalri through a flaming portal. A portal to where? Hell? When she relays this vision to her grandmother and cousin Raidan, they hatch a plan to save Shivalri-with an unforeseen rebel at their side.

In a twist of fate, enemies become allies, family fights for freedom, and the new triple goddess embarks on a journey to repair the veil between realms.

I love reading this book. Multiple POVs and easy to follow plots.

“I just wish that this time together felt like enough to hold on to for eternity.”
“May I love you now?”

“A Fate of Gods and Fire” by Shania Scichilone

Shivalri thought she fell but awakes finding out she was saved by the God of Nightmares. He wanted to save her from Pyre. Shivalri’s feeling for Pyre is conflicted and she decides to go with God of Nightmares to his home in her need to run from Pyre. But does she really want to flee from him? Meanwhile her family is trying to get her back to the human realm and fight the ones who gave Shivalri to Pyre in the first place. Danger lurks in both realms.

I loved this book so much. It was even better than the first Fates Divine book. Finally, Shivalri and Pyre face their feelings towards each other. The second book delves deeper into the world building, and I loved every second of it. I cannot wait to read the next book OMG. I gave it a 5 out of 5. And finally, I find out why the first book cover looks like it does which made me so confused during the first book.

-Multi POV
-Magic
-Gods/ Goddesses
-Enemies To Lovers

I have waited a year for the release of this book and it has not disappointed. Shania does a wonderful job describing the Under Realm and introducing new characters that I can’t wait to see more of. I love the multiple point of views between Shivalri and Satyra and the easy flow between their POVs. The little plot twists kept me from putting the book down and the romantic tension between some of the characters is beautifully written and I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds. And of course the absolute wonder that is Pyre!! His character development is unreal and I’m even more head over heels for him. The way he kneels for Shivalri alone and finally opens himself up to her just proves how far he’s come. From only wanting his freedom to realizing that all he needs is her.
Yet another beautiful cliffhanger that leaves me needing the next book!!
The only thing I’d like to see more of is more chapters in Pyre’s point of view.

Thank you Netgally for the free eARC!

Shivalri is still stuck in the Under World, kidnapped by Pyre, saved (?) by the God of Nightmares. As she tries to escape the Under World, she's betrayed again and rescued by Pyre. Her family on earth is fighting for her rescue and get involved in a rebellion.

Pyre has such a great way with words - I really loved his story. The love story between Pyre and Shivalri was entertaining but it didn't feel as natural, because they didn't openly communicate until like 60% of the book. Despite this I really liked Shivalris character development.

This should be a New Adult Fantasy Novel but I still got YA Vibes, especially Satyras Chapters. They felt like another book to me. The witch plot felt unnecessary to me. I feel like I could've skipped through it and still understand the plot. The introduction of all the new characters seemed important but unfortunately I couldn't care less about them.

A Fate of Gods and Fire by Shania Scichilone

RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
SPICE: 🌶️🌶️
TROPES: Gods & Goddess, fated mates, dual timeline/pov, magic

“You’d be surprised what I would endure to ensure the safety of the world.”

Oh my word… yes this took me a bit longer to read than I want to admit but in all honesty when I did sit down to read I soaked up as much as I could.

I love Pyre again, well mostly. There are times I wanted to yell at him but overall he ended up being such a freaking sweetheart. All scary but actually a giant teddy bear once cozied up to him.

Shiv really developed in this book. Her character growth was huge. One thing I have noticed is that she can be a bit naive and quick to trust, which works out but sometimes she should air@on the side of caution.

Saty’s POV in this book was a big development. It opened up to let the reader see what is happening on earth while Shiv is running around in the Under Realm. At the same time her adventure kept me on the edge of my seat. I need to know more about the book she has. I also want to read more about her and Ember!

That cliffhanger ending too… @shaniascichilone I’m in need of some answers please!!! Please tell me there is another book coming soon!! 😭

The book is compelling and it begins right where the book one ended. But it is filled with unexpected twists and turns. The unthinkable things happens in the plot. The prophecy comes in effect. Shivalri finally accepts her destiny but things become even more twisted than before. She was supposed to repair the veil and close the physical doors of the realms but there was someone else also who knew about the prophecy. Loved Pyre’s and Shivalri’s bond. Pyre’s character encapsulates and the hidden intentions comes in light. Though the book again ended on cliffhanger. There is a monstrous fall and we come face to face with god of nightmares. There is a twist of fate where enemies become allies and the quest of repairing the veil and the fight for freedom are there.

This book was a interesting surprise. The various POV made the book was more easy to read, the whole sense of Magic and world building was interesting and the relationship of character (Enemies To Lovers) was interesting to. Is a solid fantasy book that I would recomend to read if you want to start reading fantasy.

great read

The second book was better than the first. A lot more action. I knew it was going to end in a cliffhanger just a soon as it was getting good. Can’t wait for the next book.

Wow, I tried to get through this and probably would have given it a better rating than the first if it were not for the massive grammar errors, and strands of words stuck together. I will try to revisit this later when it's been updated.

“This.” I inhaled sharply. “Is the one thing I thank the Fates for. You are the only thing I will ever thank the Fates for.”

Phenomenal and captivating sequel. I look forward to the next one…
