Honestly, I do it to myself. I pick a series and get so emotionally involved with the characters. I truly thought Jules was going to be in Pops and Ds life. I really thought they would be a happy family once Jules killed Stacy (btw fuck that bitch).
I'm so sad. It's 1am and I'm crying over a fictional character.
RIP Deicide

I’ve seen a few reviews that have stated that this finale felt rushed and unfortunately I have to agree. This is not how I expected the ending, and pretty anticlimactic… I mean a great unexpected character BUT there could have been more of a story there and honestly was expecting a bit more out of the Stacy story line
Ho-Ly Sh*t that ending! That ending to the series was just AMAZING. Also am I supposed to get teary-eyed for messed up awful characters in a splatterpunk book because.....I did. Over the course of these last 10 books, I hate them, loved the writing, cared for some, wished death slowly on others. D is a tragic mess, Pops is an a*whole raised by an even bigger a*shole, Alec is a traumatized kid that was in the wrong place at the wrong time since he was a baby and Jules....OMG Jules.
Oh my God are you guys in for a treat!!! A real shocker!!! I can’t say anything else or I’ll spoil it. But you have to read this series from beginning to end!!!! Sea Caummisar has outdone herself, once again!!! Highly, highly recommend!!!! Awesome! Just awesome!! 5 stars for every book in this series!!! You must read them. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant books!!!
Words can't describe my feelings! The end to this series was bittersweet. All the characters we had come to know and love are basically gone (RIP grams, pops and deicide) but I feel we were shorted on somethings. Like not having D know Julie was her mother and what the hell happened to Bliss?? So hoping we get an Alec spin off from this. Will re read this series again!

Sea Caummisar is one of my top Splatterpunk and Extreme Horror queens, her books literally leak intensity. This series started off with a bang (Books 1–3 were unhinged “what the hell” did I just read). But as it went on, the shock started to feel familiar. I kept reading not for the Horror, but for the characters. And finally, in this conclusion, book 10 gives us what we were looking for. 💥 Multiple POVs from our favourite characters 💥 Story closure. 😱 HOLY SH*T moments that finished this series off strong It’s the finale I needed 😊
I thought it was a great addition to add Jules back into the picture to attempt to have a relationship with Decide. After D and Alec got out of jail, I knew what was going down… Overall I REALLY enjoyed this series of books and hope the author does a spin-off of Alec’s life after all this tragedy.
I wish this wrapped up including Bliss as well…it seems like there was no context into how a further book would discuss her as she gets older or if she was ever even at the neighbors?? Just a lot of empty plot lines and it felt like it wrapped up quickly. But overall it was a 3.5-4 ⭐️ series 🙂
Okay actually such an amazing conclusion!! It felt like she fit so much in this last novella. The way these character’s stories ended and came together. I sobbed. I CRIED WHEN I FINISHED. These psycho serial killers.. I cared about them so much.
The tenth and final book in this series, so you’d be expecting big things.. you’d be wrong. I was looking forward to the final instalment in this series for such a long time, and I found myself severely disappointed.
Firstly, this one didn’t need to be labelled as extreme horror, as it was more storyline based (which is fine). Secondly, it’s so damn rushed! How can Deicide and Andy die in such a lacklustre manner? Or the manner in which they died was fine, but the writing was missing umpth.
I did enjoy the series overall, I’d definitely say the first 5/6 books were best, as we watched deicide grow, adapt and change.

I read this complete series in weeks I could not put it down. This is my first extreme horror series and now one of my favorite authors. This series has been disturbing I have been on the edge of my seat the entire read I have been annoyed, angry, and I have felt so bad for Deicide, and pops also. I did shed a few tears over this series, and there was times I had to stop and go touch grass. I never would have guessed the ending and I'm looking forward and hoping for an Alec spin off. Now to read every other book written by Sea Caummisar
So to start with, I have supremely enjoyed this series from start to finish and all the dodgey, violent, twisted up's and down's. Did I love this ending.....no but did I see how it was a necessary and very real life ending....yes, yes I did, the ending is a bit of a gut punch but I love a book that makes me feel something and boy did this last entry achieve that!!! All in all, I loved it, loved every one of them, truly fantastic series!!
The twist in the beginning of the book blew my mind. I definitely didn't see it coming. I also like that this book bounced back and fourth between perspectives. The ending of this book was really sad but very well written.
This entire series is *chefs kiss.* Were there slow spots? Yes but I don’t think people realize those have to happen, unfortunately, to set the timeline or the plot. This series, I just can’t recommend it enough.
Wow!!! I finished the last 2 books in 1 1/2 days. This series was great. I loved how this book switched between the viewpoints of D, Pops and Alex. I’m happy that Jules found D but she was never able to tell her since everybody died!! This ending hurt me. What happened to Bliss???

Somehow I ended this series liking the father and feeling bad for him? I wish there wouldn't have been such a crazy switch up in his personality. He gets so upset about Deicide getting a concussion in prison but also made her break her own arm in a car door, lock her in the closet, burning her etc. I'm kinda glad she got her ass beat in jail. She deserved it to be honest and it made sense. The only thing I really liked about this book was the way she reintroduced Jules. I think it was clever and was definitely surprising! I'm sick of stacey and I'm glad he picked his daughter over her. I think it's kind of funny how he thought they would just be able to live together peacefully again. The fighting between Jules, Deicide and Stacey was kinda crazy. I really didn't expect Deicide to not make it through. However I was extremely annoyed about how she died. Andy is a doctor... He is seemingly so worried about his daughter's wellbeing now but, he left her unattended on the couch with a severe head injury? Let her sleep when he already knew she had an awful concussion..? I think Jules is the most relatable character in this whole series and I was really bummed about how little time we got with her. I think the way she died was incredibly unsatisfying and just.. Upsetting. Lastly... Andys death was also just out of character in my opinion and extremely lazy. All of them dying in the end was just... boring and a big let down. It felt as if the author wasn't sure how to end it and figured killing everyone would be good enough. It sucks that this series left on one of the most unsatisfying notes I've experienced ... Almost made me want more. Almost but not quite (:

This series has a strong start and I was super into it, but by book 4 the writing goes massively downhill, there's no plot, no atmosphere and as an "extreme horror" it can't even rely on the gore to keep it strong.
I'm so irritated as I was really looking forward to this but each book after 3 was just shit scraped from the toilet and thrown onto the page so that someone could say "look, I've written a series of books!"
Deicide just gets progressively worse until you can't stand her - again, book 4-5 and the dialogue is like someone vomited up alphabet spaghetti and put some words together. The ending to this series is the biggest load of bollocks I've ever read, massive cop out - badly written - and just all around lacklustre.
In the afterword, the author makes mention of how she changed some things because her beta readers didn't like it. Let me tell you, that's either absolute bullshit, or the beta readers were illiterate. There is no way you got away with publishing all of these without someone telling you how shit the writing was, how bad the characters were written once they evolved from a child perspective, how wooden the dialogue was, whilst also mixing certain characters speech mannerisms onto other characters, and the amount of grammatical and spelling mistakes was embarrassing.
I'd also like to shame those of you that sat there and hyped up this series. I don't know if the author paid you or if you're all delusional but this was a massive waste of time.
Sea, please know that the harshness in this review comes from a place of deep, severe disappointment.
The 10th and final novella in the Raised By a Killer series left me with my jaw hanging open. Told from 3 POVs (points of view) - Pops, Deicide, and Alec. Deicide and Alec are bailed out of jail and with a surprise passenger in tow return to Pops where Stacey is waiting. In this fast-paced conclusion, all bets are off and all fates are decided. Who will live, who will die, and who will sail off into the sunset on a yacht?
Sea Caummisar managed to take me through a thrilling set of novellas that left me wanting to look away yet kept me hoping for a brighter day and a happy ending. Nope, nope, and nope! This series is definitely not for the faint of heart and please pay heed to every trigger warning provided, because she ain't joking. But if you dare, hope on this roller coaster, enjoy the drama and horror, and weep at the end.
4.5 but I’ll give it a full 5 stars for goodreads.
While a lot of the reviews said this felt rushed, I can say with full confidence that I’m satisfied with this ending. One thing I hate is a HAPPY ending and this delivered exactly the blow I was looking for. I was not expecting the series to end this way tbh and maybe that’s just my own naivety lol. But I’m so thrilled to have been apart of deicides journey. Along with Alec and pops as well. This was such a wild ride for me from the first book (which was an extremely hard read for me since my child is 4 years old currently) and the cult, and this insane ending. Thank you Sea Caummisar for this brilliant series. Happy to have wrapped up my year of reading with this book. 🥰
ok so this being the last book in the series im going to give it a 5 stars. not necessarily the book as a stand alone. of course Julie showed face at the end wanting to get to know her daughter when her case file showed up on her desk. im not surprised that she essentially was a social worker for battered women. im a fan that Jules was the one to kill Stacey bc she joined the murder club and Stacey had to go. she should of been gone. im kinda bummed Deicide ended up dieing. but then again pops killed them all in a fire bc what else do you do when your ex wife shows up and murders your fiance when said finance is trying to kill your daughter. Alec is left all one but now he has all the money so overall I loved it. the only time I put this book down was bc my wrist hurt bc its a tank.

i have mixed emotions :/ i LOVED this series up until this book and binge read the first 9 books in less than a week and was really excited for this release but it was kinda lacking
Deicide was such a fighter and overcame so much so her losing her life to the effects of a few fights just felt really out of character
I also felt robbed of Deicide knowing her mother especially with all the drama surrounding their family dynamic and how much of a bomb was dropped on her when Pops told her some of how she was conceived.
I really love this series and getting to know the characters but the ending felt very rushed and lackluster :(
This was a great gruesome series, and this final book was no exception. Deicide, pops and Alex all have issues with each other and now stacey is o the scene too, things just go from bad to worse. In This read everything piles on top of each other and fates start to come about. But who is the fresh face and what is their purpose? Can stacey and deicide sort things out, and what will happen with bliss? All revealed in this excellent ending to a great series. Would love to see a spin off as suggested by the author, especially if as good as this series. Recommended
I read the first 9 books almost consecutively. This series was such an interesting story and very well written. I was hooked the entire way. Having to wait for book 10 to come out I was so excited, I couldn't wait to see how it all ended. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I have given every single book in the series 5 stars until now. It was completely rushed. Whiplash can't begin to describe how quickly the important parts of the story went by. Brining in characters that just created a unfished plot point. I will certainly not be reading any spin offs. Such a shame.
Major missed opportunity for some deeper drama… super disappointed that Deicide didn’t even find out that Jules was her mother. And for D to have such an anticlimactic death… Andy setting the house on fire after losing everything makes sense - seems completely on par for what he would do and shows good evolution of the character falling back into the same caring ways he had when he and Jules were together. Alec being the one to run away with the money is ironic since he’s the one who caused all the issues to begin with.

What a wild ride this series has been. Issue #10 wraps things up with the same intense, chaotic energy it's had from the start. It definitely ticks every trigger warning box, so it’s not for the faint of heart — but if you’ve made it this far, you know what to expect.
The writing style stayed strong throughout. I liked how it kept me hooked, even when things got absolutely insane. It’s not perfect, but it never got boring, and that says a lot. A dark, messy, but strangely gripping finale to a seriously twisted series.
