It's basically a "Who's Who" of hard blokes.

Not all of them are gangsters, some of them are just doormen etc with no criminal records but all the questions asked are the same.

Asking someone who has never been in trouble with the police about their life of crime is a bit silly.

The writing isn't the best, there is misuse of phrases all over the shop and any cockney rhyming slang is in quotes, for some reason.
