Inside every person is that same desire to get better. I am convinced we do not like being average, struggling, or not excelling. Many have resigned to mediocrity and defeat because of past failures, rejection, and adversity. Still, the majority of those people are heartsick. Instead of getting better, they become toxic and condescending towards those with high drive and goals, and many become anti-success and promotion. However, if they are honest, inside of them is a drive they must suppress that says the same thing I heard that night in my parents' driveway, "Better! You must get BETTER!"
