Healing the Soul



It's a dark, yet great addition to the series. There's a close, personal loss of one of the littlest ones, so take heed if you prefer to avoid that.

Nyla Pippin certainly makes an entrance. She comes with a horrible story, and I love how Owen "Eagle" Asher and the rest of the Iron Tzars MC step in to offer her a safe haven.

When things get really hard and awful, I love how each woman rallies in similar ways, even the club girls are at the ready. Nyla stepping up to Eagle and any others who question her intentions or get in her way is comical to observe. The best is when she gets up close and personally smacks Alexi Petrov. It is kinda perfect. 👌 😆

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrator is Umi Markkanen who continues to do a great job with these characters.

Nyla suffered for years by a monster, and when she's able to get away, she runs right into Eagle's arms. Eagle has his own demons from his military days and also helping an ally get rid of scum.

This was a really great story and the it keeps you turning the pages, but their are some heartbreaking moments as well.

Wow! Just wow! A nonstop action packed, suspenseful and thrilling roller coaster ride to go on with Eagle, Nyla and the Iron Tzars MC. From the moment this book started I was intrigued and remained captivated till the end. I can’t even put it into words how good this story was. Eagle started out as a rough, gruff and intimidating man but meeting Nyla changed him into a softer, sweeter and more protective man. This story was definitely intoxicating.

Eagle and Nyla fit well into the Iron Tzars world. A strong but broken, in need of help Nyla meets and falls for a broken and struggling Eagle.
This book is fast paced with a load of action. I did struggle a bit with how many characters get introduced, then promptly carted off to the barn.
The only real problem I had with this book is the trigger warning needs to be adjusted. Something happens to a character that took all the joy out of the book for me.
I have read other books in this series and the overall world Marteeka has created. I am a fan. However I would have skipped this book if the given a proper warning.
I still love her books and will be back for the next one.

What a start for this book! Eagle is the one everybody watches out for. Nyla is the one that's either going to tame the beast or accept him as is, dark side and all. When Nyla runs for her life, the last thing she must expect is to find her future. She and Eagle both have traumatic pasts and lots to work through.

"I’m not what you need, but I want to be."

They're exactly what the other needs to heal and become whole. She's the light to his dark and he slays her dragons and is her protector. Their chemistry is undeniable from the beginning and will leave you breathless to see the almost immediate change in Eagle. This book is completely consuming, heartbreaking and me wanting more of this couple.

"With your love, I know I am complete."

I believe Eagle may just be my favorite.

Nyla escaped from an abusive situation, where she was just property to be sold or rented out as her owner wished. She knew it was best to keep him happy. She runs into Eagle’s arms, and he brings her back to the Tzars. In the Tzar’s, Eagle is one of the roughest, and least “loveable” guys. Even though Nyla has not accepted it yet, Eagle knows she is his, to keep. The abusive scum plots and attacks the Tsars, trying to get Nyla to run. Needless to say, it fails, and the Tzars take revenge for the attack. The bad people die in ways that fit their crimes. The story is fast paced. There is violence hinted at or clearly stated in all of Marteeka’s books I have read. This one was a bit more clear. I could envision the happenings in the barn. Overall, it was a good story and well written. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving my review.

As usual, there are familiar ‘faces’ along with some new ones and this kicks off amidst some danger and trafficking … love it. It wasn’t particularly different from the others in this world, but it was a fun listen.

A great addition to this series. At just 3.5 hrs, it is a quicker listen. But alot happens here. Eagle. Big. Bad. Rough. Haunted with nightmares from his past. Meets Nyla, a woman escaping her captors from being a sex slave. Wow.Two lost, but strong souls. See how they find their way. Exciting read/listen.

The narrator, Umi Markkanen, is one of my favorite narrators. Her male voices are just as good as her female voices. She puts so much emotion into her performance. I really feel her passion, her lust, her anxiety. She makes this book and her others come alive. I'd give her more than 5 stars if I could.

Heed the author's warning on this one. This author does an amazing job of handling such topics as human trafficking in a way that portrays the horrors of it, but also the resilience of those who have been forced into that horrible fate. Nyla is one such person and when things go horribly wrong for her, she finds herself with Eagle. Both have to learn to trust and to love and it is interesting to see how they do that. The narrator is fantastic as always and I look forward to more in this series.

Eagle and Nyla were just meant to be. Their story is not an easy one, but nothing good in life comes easy. Nyla escapes a deadly situation to run right into Eagle’s arms, literally. She is beaten and naked, but Eagle sees the woman underneath all those scratches and bruises. The Tzars need to know her story before they will be able to help her. She can only hope they believe her, as she knows her captor is coming for her. No one runs from him without there being dire consequences.

This is book 7 in the Tzars MC Series. I liked this interconnected series. This is another great addition to the series. Eagle and Nyla's story is fast-paced and entertaining, filled with danger, actions, and twists and turns. I liked the sweet ending for this couple. Umi Markkanen did a great job bringing this story to life. Looking forward to listening to Cyrus, the next book in the series. #StoryOrigin

Eagle and Nyla both have troubled and tortured pasts. When we first meet Eagle he is frustrated and spoiling for a fight. When Nyla falls into his arms his focus changes. This is a great listen the men are strong and the women fisty. The story moves along at a fast pace with lost of twists and turns.
The narrator does and excellent job.

When you have done the job from hell, as needed, gate duty of the compound seems a rough thing to have to do but when you catch a naked woman fleeing from two men you make another stand. When protecting her endangers everyone and causes devastation the Iron Tzars pull together and show that woman what true belonging is - no matter the cost. And love blooms.

Eagle was on shakey ground due to his time on the service bit Nyla showed up and his ghosts seem to settle just by her presence. Nyla was used and abuse from a teenage on and now as an adult it wasn't better til she met Eagle..her fierce protector. Together they knew nothing could come between or against that they cannot withstand...with Iron Tzars at their back.

I like how the characters always seem to fall in love at first sight, it may be cheesy to some but hay o I love it. The narrator was pretty good too even at the male voices. She brought it all to life.

Great book to add to the series. Love the characters and the storyline was interesting. The movement of the story was paced just right and the characters interaction was great.
