The story of Hanover Block has come to an end and what an ending it was!

The Hanover Block by Gregor Xane Brides of Hanover Block (The Hanover Quartet Book 2) by Gregor Xane Son of Hanover Block (The Hanover Quartet Book 3) by Gregor Xane Return to Hanover Block (The Hanover Quartet) by Gregor Xane

Do you find yourself wondering what's going on with these covers? What kind of story would involve artwork like that? Let me tell you! This has got to be the most bizarre, erotic, and psychotic series I have ever read. Creativity is off the charts here, both on the covers and what's inside.

I don't know how to describe the experience of reading this series. Every couple years or so, I again immerse myself in this uncoventional world of strange jelly-like balls of... creature. Creatures that have power over men and women, both. The power to distract them to the point of no longer going to work, no longer making dinner, no longer anything else but the creatures themselves. Where are they from? Why did they appear, so suddenly, so silently? And what they hell do they want? Welcome to Hanover Block.

It's hard to review this book without considering the series as a whole. I will say you should not read this without having read the previous books first. You will be lost and you most likely won't "get" all their is to get. In fact, I've read this entire series and read one of them twice, and I'm still not sure that I "got" all that there is to get.

There is a good amount of horror and gore here, on top of the mysterious factor, and in this particular volume, there's a good bit of action as well. Hanover Block is no longer recognizable. What happened and is happening runs the gamut from scientific experimentation gone wrong, mass murder for the good of humanity, and the kidnapping of children as the subjects for the above mentioned experimentation. I never got bored and the story was always moving forward-seems to me like there wasn't a wasted word throughout.

So, I guess that's it then. It's time to say goodbye to the Domestic Task Force. It's time to say "so long" to these creatures, and for good this time. They've provided so much entertainment for me that I'm almost sorry to see them go. Goodbye, Hanover Block. You take care now.

I highly recommend this book and the entire series, especially to fans of the Bizarro genre!

*Thank you Gregor Xane, for the paperback in exchange for my honest feedback. This is it.*

I have many feelings about the long-awaited finale to the Hanover Block Quartet, and I’m still sorting them out, but I will reiterate that you all need to read Gregor Xane - and sooner rather than later. That said, readers might benefit from revisiting the previous books in the series before diving into this one. There is a lot going on here, and it is not exactly a gentle reentry if you have been out of the loop for some time.

Edward Lorn called The Hanover Block “backyard bizarro of the nastiest order.” Three books later and it couldn’t be any truer.

While I am sad this quartet has come to an end…dang, this was the way to go out. In a big flaming ball of pulsating invisible mound goo and viscera.

4.5 Stars rounded up to 5 based on the strength of The Hanover Block quartet as a whole.

Dark & weird, disturbing, horrifying, traumatizing and wonderful. And 100% Xane
